I got nickel and dimed for every little thing. I prepaid for an entire tank of gas, which is unnecessary to begin with, and when i dropped it off, I was charged another surcharge fee for the gas which I had already paid for. I used 1/4 a tank of gas and paid about $55 for it. To use the electronic toll device I was charged a fee on top of the tolls that I will pay, but there is no other choice. The turnpikes don't use tickets anymore, they just photograph the license plate, which also would have incurred a fee. The fees roughly equal the cost of the rental itself.

Location of office was convenient1. The car was not cleaned inside or out. Hertz talks about COVID protocols, but with this care because there was food and other debris on the inside which you could tell wasn’t wiped down. 2. Car given to me with the gas light on. Seriously Hertz? 3. Was told the car wasn’t equipped with SXM radio, but it was.

Nothing, it was a complete bust, and my follow call was frustrating.The office was closed when I went at noon for my noon car rental pick up.

Friendly and convenientLocation, and ease of picking up and dropping off car.The car was equipped with EZ Pass but no one explained how it worked. Frustrating.

Vehicle was nasty dirty.Pick up and drop off was easy and quick. car ran good.Now, i am not expecting a brand new car, but i do expect some type if effort giving me at least a clean car. The van I got was so nasty and dirty inside, I had to clean it when I got it home before our trip. Could barely see out the windshield it was so smudged up. There was grease smudges all over the dashboard, steering wheel, side windows and the cup holders had french fry pieces in them. There was a used sock in the back and empty water bottles left in the floor. While driving a kids sippy cup came out from under the drivers seat and almost went under the brake pedal!! The service was good but the condition of vehicle will prevent me ever using Hertz again.

Thanks to Ryan at Hertz my rental experience was great overall and I would definitely give them 5 stars. Initially I would give Hertz 4 stars for pickup b/c there is no option to request satellite radio through the online reservation and when I arrived for pickup they only had one car with satellite radio, which also happened to be a car that was damaged by the previous renter making the passenger door hard to open and causing a loud scraping noise as its opened which made everyone who opened it jump. This made for a few funny scenes with people. Thankfully, as it was my only option, this car turned out to be top notch otherwise. Leather interior with electric seats, and even a powered rear view mirror, which made driving at night so much better without the glare of headlights. Then at drop-off Ryan really came through and even got me a ride home, which is why I give Ryan and Hertz 5 stars.Need options for satellite radio, GPS etc. available through online reservations, including those made through 3rd party websites so that what I have reserved is ready for pickup. How would I know which car to select in order to have a powered rear view mirror which shades the glare from headlights at night ? Is this something that comes with every premium rental or is it something only available on certain makes or models? The online reservation system needs that sort of specificity in order to avoid having to call.
