The only issue was I wasn't aware that there wouldn't be anyone at the counter at drop-off. I was lost as far as the return process and an airport security guard had to assist me. This rental saved us when we missed our flight and needed a quick affordable way home. Budget saved the day! No complaints!

Liked Drop off and the clean vehicle. Audi vehicle given was an inexpensive, mid-size model and was not comfortable. Safe, but seats not roomy or wide enough for normal adults

They called us and said they would be closed when we landed in Tulsa so we canceled the car.

The return process in Stillwater is a mess. It took 20 minutes with an inept employee who couldn’t find the reservation and then had a bad attitude. They can’t provide any receipt at the location that the car has been returned in good working order so I’m forced to take an awkward video of the employee saying it’s in good working order and returned.

Cons:

Car was not ready. They tried to charge for things in a very shifty way. They did not disclose information that was important to the rental. They were emphatic that there was to be no smoking of any kind in the car and gave us a car that reeked of smoke - and then said that it was the cleaner they used to sanitize due to COVID. RIGHT!!! They charged us (prepaid) for a full tank of gas upon return, said we had a full tank of gas when they gave us the keys, but the car was only half full. When we pointed all these things out, they became defensive, dismissive and resorted to lies.

Understaffed, and insufficiently trained employee that was left to fend for himself made for an incredibly long wait to pick up a pre-reserved vehicle. Also paid almost double the daily rate online for a sedan when a walk in rented a pickup truck for almost half the daily rate I was paying. Awful experience.

Pros:

Nothing. Car was paid for but no car was available on the same day I was planning on getting it. Terrible experience. And to put the icing on the cake, I've been charged for the car and insurance that Hertz did not deliver.

Cons:

When I pay for a car and insurance in advance, I expect there to be a car for me. Is that so unreasonable. I WILL NEVER USE HERTZ AGAIN

Cons:

First, the location was not at the airport. In some ways, that was good because I went to the airport counter first. What I found out is that the location where I was supposed to pick-up the car closed at noon, which is when I had scheduled my pick-up. So, I would have been very upset had I gone there. On top of that, I had to pay Hertz for another car, as they cannot accept prepayment to Kayak. I want my money back!

Pros:

There was nothing to like. I arrived at the location only to be told there were no cars available. They informed me third party vendors do not have an accurate count of their inventory. I went to a second location and again no cars were available.

Cons:

Call the actual company a few days before your rental day. We ended up driving our own vehicle putting all those miles on our car because the event was important and we could not miss it. Hertz did not care about us or what we were missing because they did not provide a car for us. Actually the manager told me that making a reservation for a car does not mean we will get a car. I have been renting cars for years and this is the first time I have had such a terrible experience.

The supervisor Juan was great knowledgeable and very helpful. The other lady [ at the enterprise station] gave us a down graded car without informing us, she kept pointing to a suv and told us that was our car. We rented car, not a suv. After trying to start the suv with the key she gave us, we realized we were in the wrong car. We rented an Audi q4 ended up with an Audi q3 without being informed. We ended up taking the q3 back and the supervisor issued us the suv.

Pros:

I liked the option with Payless to pick up the car on airport property vs. needing to shuttle to another location. Returning the car was simple and easy, which was appreciated.

Cons:

The staff was friendly at pick up, but we had to wait in line in the garage to get the keys for much longer than one would expect. A parking garage is not the safest of places to try to wrangle a toddler who has been stuck on a plane for several hours. When we got to the car, the vehicle wasn’t as clean inside or out as one would reasonably expect either. Despite paying more for a mid-size SUV to comfortably fit our standard sized car seat that easily fits in a similar mid-size SUV, it took quite a bit of effort to get the seat installed due to it being a tight fit and then not the most comfortable ride for the driver who had to scoot the seat closer to the steering wheel than preferred.

Car was dirty inside and out, had 40k miles on it, oil change came on mid trip, outside was all scratched up on all sides, no attendee or exit gate to report scratches, you just exit the airport and then you are on the road, the most we have e we had to pay for such a poorly maintained rental car

Worst rental car experience ever! Reserved car 3 months in advance, arrived in Tulsa to find no cars available. They claimed a conference in Tulsa had "slammed" them. I think if they would read the local papers they would know when conferences were occurring in their area. After an hour we finally got a vehicle which had not been cleaned or serviced. Someone had a dog or other pet in the car and the fur got on everything we wore. There were incredible stains on both front seats; I don't even want to imagine what happened there. The front of the car was bug splattered and had paint peeling off the hood. Ours was a 6 day road trip and we quickly found that one tire had a slow leak and we had to stop periodically to air it up. Then the Check Engine light came on and off and we just crossed our fingers that the car would continue operating. I will never use Avis again even if I pay more to use another company. Horrible.

Nice staff, nice vehicle.

Cons:

I rented a Corolla but was bumped up to a 4Runner because at pickup time. While I enjoyed the vehicle, the lower gas mileage made the rental more expensive.
