They charged me for a full recharge of the EV at pickup; however, the car was almost on empty when I picked it up. There were no instructions provided for recharging the EV. The representative was rude at the counter. I asked to get a different vehicle, but the guy insisted another car would cost $75/ day more. Overall, it was a terrible experience and I will never use Hertz or Kayak again.

I had to wait in line to pick up my car for 75 minutes! Due to this, this was by far my worst experience ever renting from hertz. The person at the desk who helped me was excellent, however. Whatever led to the delay needs to be addressed. It was far below my expectations based on my previous experience renting from Hertz.

Tricked me into renting EV. Reservation was not clear that it was all electric car then up charged me for a gas car. I don’t know how to do an EV. Ridiculous.

Cons:

When I signed up for the car which was a one way trip from NY to NC it asked me when I would pick up the vehicle and when I would drop it off. I entered 8:00am pickup on Sunday, drop off before 6:00pm Monday. I dropped off at 4:00pm. Hertz didn't have that information so instead of paying $216 I wound up paying $390 and I am less than happy. $15.75/hr plus addl for anything over 24 hrs. Find this unfair and wrong. Wont rent again through Kayak

Pros:

The vehicle was great for what we needed. Very comfortable. Was great having heated seats/leather interior and up to date technology.

Cons:

Upon pick up there were still candy wrappers from the pervious owners, and a few dirty spots in the car, which I ended up purchasing cleaning wipes for and wiping down myself, given “COVID” these days, I played it safe.

It was not impressive. The agent when I checked in was far from pleasant. The car was dirty inside. The add on charges where more then the price of the rental car.

The staff was professional.

Cons:

If i got my refund because I never got to rent the car. That would be nice. They should somehow utilize there software to know if there are any cars for rent. Please help me get my refund. I got my refund from the insurance company for extra insurance but not for the car
