I even called the Dollar support line to make sure the vehicle was ready for me. The support representative confirmed the vehicle was ready to be picked up, but the representative at the airport said there were no vehicles available. This was a very frustrating experience. I took an Uber all the way to the airport just to pick up the rental car, and then it wasn't available.Reviewed May 7 2023

My car broke down half way back and was meant to feel like it was my fault. I told them I had to get to the airport and was told I had to wait for tow truck even if I had to miss my flight. No attempt was made to help me, so I called an uber and left the keys in the car in a safe space. The tow truck did not show up until the next day!!!!! I would have waited there all night. Horrible service and customer service. Last time I am booking with them or Hertz. Now I have to fight again to get reimbursed for my uber.Reviewed Mar 22 2023

I asked for 4 wheel drive vehicle but was given a 4 x 2, which we didn’t realize until we were almost to our destination. I was in an area that pretty much requires the 4 x 4 and I had gotten stuck. Thankfully with some help we were able to get out. We had to drive 2.5 hours back to Charlotte to exchange the vehicle. I am grateful they had the type of vehicle I needed I. The representative at the pickup counter was very aggressive trying to get us to upgrade. He said the car we had reserved was "very basic, the lowest, it's what we call a 'teenager car.'" We repeatedly told him we would stay with what we had reserved. He again tried to get us to upgrade but now offered the upgrade at a lower price. Very uncomfortable for us to repeatedly decline and have him keep pushing. Plus, his English was heavily accented which made it difficult to understand him. Once the unnecessarily lengthy process was completed we proceeded to the pickup area where a representative quickly came over to us, examined our paperwork for 1-2 seconds, and walked us over to the Hyundai Kona - which was definitely not the low-end teenager car that the sales desk representative had described.
