Cons: Surprise $15 resort charge. This is not a resort.
Pros: Beautiful unexpected get away. The room was the size of an apartment with very nice bathroom.
Cons: Unfortunately our windows looked at I95 so we had to listen to the sounds of the highway all night.
Pros: It is beautiful and the room is huge with a big fireplace. Breakfast in the morning was wonderful!
Great food in the hotel and across the street
Pros: Staff was great!
Cons: Very close to the highway, a lot of road noise
Overall a very nice hotel . Our room was close to a bathroom which was a little noisy. Will definetly stay here again.
Pros: The front desk staff exceptionally professional .
Absolutely loved our stay at this hotel and will return. The rooms were immaculate, modern and the best part was the kitchen - mini fridge, sink, wine glasses! The robes were extremely comfy and I just loved everything about this hotel. The was very friendly and the breakfast at Artisan was fabulous. Would not have found this hotel without Priceline and will now definitely return.
Pros: Wine glasses, modern room, cleanliness and the robes.
Food and bar great Room very comfortable
Pros: Room comfortable and well appointed.
Cons: Hard to identify the front entrance and parking and front desk
This is a very appealing boutique hotel. It has a comfortable charm, friendly staff, terrific breakfast, and high quality spa robes and slippers in the rooms. Free wifi and breakfast and turndown service add value. The restaurant and bar are inviting. The outdoor patio is delightful. Easy access on/off I 95, and easy access to Rte 1. Near charming town & beach. A good place to stay when visiting local universities.
Pros: staff friendly, rooms attractive and comfy. robes and slippers, turndown service a very nice touch. great breakfast-simple and fresh, with high quality items. My room faced the highway, but was noise-free. Staff genial and helpful.
Cons: The $15 daily fee jars. Needs more than one bath towel in the bathroom. The hotel needs a reception area with ice water, apples, hard candies or cookies. A complimentary cocktail and a spanish guitar or jazz combo might draw more folks to the bar area.
Very satisfied with hotel overall. Excellent room, nice size and clean. The only negative is the 'mandatory' $15 fee that is charged. This is especially annoying when you negotiate the price on Priceline and the price is then added when you arrive at the hotel.
Pros: great rooms, good size, clean
Cons: the $15 mandatory fee
Pros: Hotel was beautiful ... just wish I had more time to enjoy my stay. I was there briefly after a service at a local funeral parlor, so, my time was limited unfortunately. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.
Cons: I did not like that I was told, upon arrival, that in addition to what I paid for the room, I would be charged an additional $15.00 per room(I had 4 rooms) - apparently for the cleaning service. When I ordered this through priceline, I was not told this.
Situated by the ocean, Delamar Southport is a great choice for a stay in Southport. Guests can visit the spa to indulge in deep-tissue massages, facials, or body treatments, and fusion cuisine is served at Artisan, which is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A bar/lounge and a fitness center are other highlights, and rooms at this upscale hotel offer up nice touches like premium bedding and bathrobes.
Pros: This is a very nice, clean boutique type motel/hotel and is a great deal. The rooms were very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the location convenient. Some reviews I read complained that it was a motel because the entrances to the rooms are on the outside of the building rather than inside but that was fine with me. Very reasonably priced and I would happily stay there again.
Pros: The bed was comfortable rooms were updated and the staff was very accommodating
Cons: The bathroom floor was quite dirty and we had a room in the front which was noisy from the street traffic
Pros: Desk staff friendly, rooms are small but clean and nice. Bar/restaurant ant downstairs is great and very convenient to the Merrit Parkway.
Beds are comfortable and the decor is nice.
Cons: At each stay the cleaning staff follows up numerous times before checkout deadline to clean the room whether your do not disturb sign is present or not. During this stay after being harassed twice earlier, during last half hour before checkout deadline the cleaning staff followed up twice. On the second time after telling them 10 mins they asked if we were checking out today. Has happened on each visit (4+ times) so not an isolated incident.
Would be nice to have refrigerators in the room, some rooms have desks, some do not.
Pros: Roger was one of the best employee with excellent customer service. My gf was in a bit of a bad mood but he turned her mood upside down and gave us options to choose different rooms to our liking. EXCELLENT.
would come back here for the 4th time again!
Pros: Clean, updated rooms with a relaxed feel & decor. Everything functioned properly and amenities were good. Very nice lobby/gathering area. Friendly 'family' atmosphere and staff. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will use again.
Pros: Good location, close to Jennings Beach.
Cons: Bathroom had a slight "sewage" smell.
Wi-Fi was spotty.
Room was very dark, not enough lights; but if I had the blinds open, people could look in.
Pros: Room was large and super clean, felt like a luxury hotel from the lobby to the room! We were pleasantly surprised given the neighborhood.
Cons: Hotel staff was rude.
The hotel itself was in downtown Bridgeport where parking was an extra fee. Location seemed questionable and there was no skybridge or anything connecting the separate parking structure.
Just overall dirty feel.

Pros: The hotel was very nice. The lobby was warm and comfortable and with comfy couches and a fireplace, I could have stayed there all day. The rooms were clean and beds were incredibly comfortable. The down comforter was a nice touch and helped make the sleep very restful. Staff was friendly and willing to help. Unfortunately, I didn't get to stay long as this was for business, but I would definitely go back for pleasure next time.
Cons: Very dated and outdoor stairs was only access, very narrow for carrying up suitcase
