Wonderful room. Best full English breakfast we ever had. The pot of tea offered to us when we arrived was really appreciated after a busy day of touring. Free parking is a plus. Proximity to Heathrow was great. Proximity to eating establishments within walking distance was good. No
The Manager, Dean was an excellent host. The hotel was well presented & the room was clean, comfortable & the faciliities were excellent. The hotel is only 130m from the Feltham train station so is in a brilliant location to get to London city & Heathrow Airport. There is also a bus service just up the road that runs every 10 min to Heathrow. All in all a great stay.
First, this is not a hotel, it's a bed and breakfast. Second, no taxi's know where it is and we got literally robbed by the taxi driver. Third, we had a private bathroom, but it was located on another floor. You have to walk down tiny steps that are very steep in the middle of the night if you need to use the bathroom. I was traveling with my elderly parents, the stairs were extremely dangerous and the owner did not care. He treated me as though I was just complaining rather than that I had real concerns about my parents walking up and down 3 flights of very steep small stairs. In the end, he cared more about money than safety.
The staff were very friendly and the owner very personable, the room was very comfortable and the entire place had a pleasant and individual style to it often missing from other hotels. The en-suite bathroom was well appointed and clean, and the breakfast was excellent. It also has a very nice, private garden. There was a radio-alarm clock in my room that wasn't plugged in and had no instructions for how to use it if you did. There was also another clock but this had no battery in it. If they just hadn't been there this wouldn't have been an issue, but having a clock that doesn't work is utterly pointless!
nothing Initially we were put into a room for three which didn't have its own bathroom. The shared bathroom was one floor down. Don't expect a buffet breakfast; it's made personally by the owner and is nothing notable. In one instance we received moldy bread as toast. Apparently the "hotel" was an abandoned three storey house that was bought for little and converted into a B&B. The taxi driver that delivered us confirmed that he remembers the house being vacant for a long time previously. It is in a residential neighborhood undergoing gentrification. Aside from the bathrooms, it seems that little was done other than a fresh painting, to bring the house into it's present state. This should be classified as a B&B with no stars.
Excellent English breakfast!!
Dean was a pleasant host. The place was fantastic and clean. I hope I get stuck in London again so I can stay at the Ambassador one more time.
The reasons I've chosen this hotel are-proximity to Heathrow airport and bed with canopy. I liked also the full english breakfast prepared by the owner of the hotel himself. The room was tiny and bathroom was really awful, it looked like a gym shower despite the room was allegedly a honemoon suit.
Informality, very comfortable, very friendly. The owner has taken a lot of time and put thought in to the overall design and feel of the place. Each room is individual. Maybe a bit over-priced for where it is and for local amenities available.
Proximity to Heathrow, good breakfast, good quality linen in bedroom
Great value at under £40 It's a bit of a shabby dive on a very busy road
Convenient Location, Clean, functional rooms
Very reasonably priced for a hotel so close to Heathrow airport, and handily placed for the train station. In line with the price, everything was basic - clean and functional without frills, including the quality of the staff. However mistakes were put right without a fuss.
The italian restaurant and its staff on the ground floor is really interesting and a lot of fun :) Guinness on tap in the bar No heating No shower gel Unattentive and not very nice staff Loud, noisy neighbors Construction undergoing right under my window Poor quality furnishing No free Wi-Fi Subpar breakfast Smoking area is right at the entrance
Nice and Clean Simple, no frills rooms Contemporary Style Pleasant Environment My only complaint is no free WiFi. Wifi is 10 pounds a day. It's 2015 free wifi is to be expected. Also, you must get a taxi here as no Heathrow shuttle bus runs to this hotel, or at least not that I could see.
A no-frills hotel near the airport. A 5-minute walk from the train station in Feltham, which is why I booked it. The Italian restaurant in the hotel is very good.
We went to Twickerham to watch Rugby, the hotel was the ideal location. There was nothing we didn't like
Location to train station for Twickenham Breakfast was awful, waited for ages and then it was cold.
Conviently located to Heathrow and IBM Feltham. The instructions on using a bus from Heathrow were not correct. The bathroom light switch was not near the bathroom door and other switches were oddly arranged. The TV aerial was not plugged in correctly. The Internet connection seemed very slow.
The bathrooms are clean They are not near the airport, there is no shuttle to the hotel. The beds feel like bed springs, the pillows are flat. The staff is on the rude side. The WiFi is not free. The cleaning staff knocks on the door repeatedly although the do not disturb sign is on the door. They do not have wash clothes.
Dirty carpet throughout ,innefficient booking out badly cooked breakfast no tablecloths tables left uncleared needs a smoking shelter so guests are not forced to walk through crowds of smokerswe think 2 stars would be a better description
Close to the airport. Elegant in its own way. The rooms are a bit small.
First off I couldn't book the room through the hotel. I was forced to book with third party online. My bathroom had flooded when I had taken a shower, due to the shower threshold. I had upgraded my room simply just looking for a king bed. The only room available was a sweet which had cost me 275.00 pounds. They only compensated me 50 pounds for a soak and wet bathroom that I had to mop up with all the towels in the room.
Close to the international airport with easy access to cheap shuttle bus service. Rooms were clean and heating/cooling easily adjusted. Staff were friendly and good with children. A good menu for kids. Rooms are very small, even for overnight stay. There is no lift so luggage must be carried up two flights of stairs which is back breaking if your traveling overseas with a large load. They claim to be 4 star which is a bit of a joke... More like 2 1/2 to 3 mainly due to the fact it is dated (looking worn), lack of lifts to upper levels and lacking 4 star facilities. WiFi was a bit dear. Most places in this pricerange where we stayed offered free WiFi.
close to the airport for our departure home the next day cost means to make our own coffee and tea mini refrigerator nice sized bathroom had to walk along way down a hallway to access an elevator to the 2nd floor and then had to walk back down another long hallway there was urine in the toilet in our "clean" hotel room and the TV was all ready on - it left us wondering if our room had really been cleaned no extra pillows or blankets
Slick check in, very clean and comfortable
The food was great, and the service terrific too. Doors a bit scratched up.
Relatively clean I chose the hotel because of its supposedly superior pool and fitness room, but they closed right after I arrived. Why would an airport hotel close its facilities at night?
The concierge staff were very helpful and friendly, but something need to be done for the check in and check out front liners. We checked in on 25 \nov 2010, arriving about 10 pm plus from Paris enroute to scotland, the check I staff was not very friendly. We checkd out early morning on 26 nov 2010, the check out staff was also not friendly. A simple eye contact would have been helpful for the hotel management.
Nothing decor very tired, noisy
Reasonably priced, comfortable, very close to Heathrow No complaints, would stay again.
Close to the airport The rooms was far too hot.
the strict minimum!! 14 GBP for wifi
location for airport
The convenient possision, the room was very quiet, no airport noice. The bar area not very acceptable for eating a light meal
Checkin was quick. Food at the bar was good (see also what I did not like) I picked the hotel because of the name, I stayed in excellent Jury's Inss before, also because it was (said to be) close to the underground & heathrow, Only at the exit there was no indication where the hotel was located, and the hotel was not visible. So I had to ask around, before finding the hotel. It was a bit farther away than described. At check-in they told me the restaurant would be open until 22h30, and gave me a key-card for my room that did not work. When coming back down to the restaurant I was told it closed early, so I had to go to the (overflowing) bar, and had to wait to get a seat. My room was close the the elevators, and poorly insulated, and I heard the elevators moving up and down, and stopping at my floor all night.
The bed was inviting and clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was lovely! I didn't have a computer with me so was grateful I could come in free of charge to write an email. There was nothing I didn't like.
My wife needed to see a GP and they quickly called one out for us. They were very helpful.
Location The hotel was very noisy and the housekeeping staff kept slamming doors keeping us up. In addition we asked a server about the menu and she rudely told us to ask someone else and walked off.
The Staff were friendly and very helpful. Food is great at reasonable prices, everything looks smart and well organised. it is right next to the tube station which was convenient. The rates are low and you get much more than you expected for this sort of price. the breakfast was great and plenty of choice. Basically I would use this hotel again if I am in the area – very pleasant stay.
Brand new, lovely hotel and a superb Garden Inn. Comfortable and crispy clean. Nice staff at the bar and check in. Easy access from Hatton Cross Tube stop. Read a review that transportation was bad and have to agree. Expensive at GBP 4:50 each. Worse yet was the SURLY, RUDE, UNHELPFUL CRETIN that drove the bus. Awful.
Returning to the US from a European trip, we needed to transfer from London Gatwick to London Heathrow late at night, and then depart the next morning from London Heathrow. The Hilton Garden Inn was ideal. It is located close to Terminal 4, and gave us a good place to stay for the night. Staff are very helpful. I can't think of anything
Very convenient, great location to airport
More for convenience,as I have to catch early flight. Proximity to the tube is the other plus points. none
It was just what we needed after a long flight, clean, spacious, modern and comfortable.
Location Service in the restaurant was very efficient and friendly We were not informed that the hotel is going through a TOTAL renovation. We were initially placed in a recently finished room. After a real ordeal to get there, we found out that our room reeked of chemicals (gave us a headache within 5 minutes and watery eyes), still had some construction debris and the bathroom door handle was not installed. Had to carry all our luggage back and had to be moved to a different room.
Big lounge, helpful front desk service. Discounted pricing relative to other hotels in the area. Outside decor and current renovations give very poor first impressions. Room was typ Marriott-type accommodations. I'd recommend spending the extra $10+ to stay elsewhere if possible, but would consider again at same price range when renovations are complete.
Staff attention to detail, quality of room and location
Executive lounge small room.
Close to airport, clean and upgraded rooms. Dinner was very good and the breakfast buffet was great.
What a great location. As a weary traveler it's nice when everything goes smoothly. Staff was very accommodating .
Quite up to date Small room
Comfortable room and fast internet and ease of taking the public bus system 5 minutes to the terminal cannot be beat. Hair in the bathroom and in the tea cup suggested it did not get cleaned well, and about a 45" wait to get checked in made the stay less than ideal. Both are probably one-off issues though based upon reviews available.
Room is Comfortable and modern. Lobby and pub/bar very spacious and comfortable. Endless corridors and small rooms for such a huge hotel.
Location, lounge 1.the hotel could not find my kayak reservation so I am Not sure that I paid the kayak rate, in fact there is a good chance but I was charged twice and I'll have to find some way to reconcile this. For some reason the kayak reservations were not acceptable for their confirmation numbering system, the staff acted like they never seen a kayak reservation. 2.none of the hotel had internet access whatsoever it was down all night. Only one staff was manning the concierge desk and with the internet down the line was very long, yet it seems like the staff didn't put 2&2 together....perhaps you should increase the number of people at the concierge desk when the internet is down. At times the concierge would just just disappear I think probably hoping people would just disappear as well. Myself and another guest helped ourselves to the concierge desk computer print out our boarding passes for flights. 3. the entire hotel smelled like smoke despite the non smoking room. 4. the television didn't work in the hotel room and looked quite dated even at the kayak rated this hotel is not worth the money
Location This hotel is old and not very clean. I am surprised that Marriott has let this hotel go this far in dis-repair. Not worth 200 USD a night.
Location State of repair/decor. Food---terrible !!! Seemed cheap for a Marriott --now understand why.
Location adjacent to M4 -good for connection to London but tube connection better than bus routes. High taxi fares in the locality because of this High taxi fares-charged £28 for 7 mile trip.
The staff were polite, helpful, and unobtrusive. Also they were well turned out. The evening meal could have been better, however the full breakfast was excellent
The staff in reception is really rough, especially some guy from indian or middle east, ask the staff to let me join the novotel club for 3 times, but he did not anything and lie to me.
The food at the restaurant was excellent - a fantastic meal.
Good service and a decent room. Free wifi. Overall, I was there for 2 days before I left England so it served its purpose. Check in was supposed to be at 2 pm. I got there around 3:30 and still had to wait about 15 minutes before getting my key.
It was totally fine for an overnight stay at an airport hotel. The pull out couch was actually more comfortable than the beds themselves. The air-con did not work in our room and they gave us a small fan to rectify the situation. The front desk staff was also very helpful on the phone, but never followed through with the requests we made.
Convenient for our touring itinery.
clean, modern and comfortable
Location of hotel, which allowed quiet ambient atmosphere during the short stay
Comfortable, clean hotel. No real complaint about the hotel itself but it could be better signposted from heathrow/M4 and the junction
The staff were very good. Public areas ofthe hotel a bit tatty but the rooms excelent.
Extremely polite and service-oriented staff. Convenient location. Good value. Flexibility in accomodating a family of four in one room, a rarity in Europe.
This is boutique quality hotel with new amenities, at an amazingly low price. They do this, by offering small, but very nice, rooms with single beds. Its about a 10-12 min walk from the Hounslow East Metro station (4 stops from Heathrow), which isn't actually that bad. Fare is 1.5£, taxi is 20£ or so. (Turn right when you exit Hounslow East.)
Hotel staff generally good. Room ok, but sink drain a bit slow! Hotel could not find my booking on the system at all - I.E. no record of the Active Hotels booking. So check-in took nearly 20 minutes whilst we sorted out a new booking.
Early check in after a long haul flight was not possible
It was equiped with a very nice staff no breakfast deal in a quite handsome amount of money
Very nice hotel, and served my purpose well as an overnight stay to be close to Heathrow for an early morning flight back to the States.Nice and quiet, even though it is so close to Heathrow. Don't know who's fault, but when I arrived, hotel had no record of my reservation. a little scarey, as I was being dropped off by my parents, after a 5 hour drive from South Wales, before my flight the next day, back to the us. After probably 15 minutes, the receptionist made a new reservation, and all was well. The other thing that was not good, was that I did not get my 6am wake up call, which could've made for a bad situation, as I was catching a plane! Also, it was not easy to get to off the M4...got lost and ended up on the m25!!
Proximity to Heathrow airport. Quiet. Brilliant breakfast.
We requested non-smoking and breakfast, but it didn't arrange. We waited many time for check-in and check-out.
The room was clean and spacious. Check in staff was unwelcoming. Almost was given a smoking room until I complained. Breakfast was expensive and did not live up to the price. The location is far away from the airport and suited to business travelers. Will not book a room at this hotel again.
Plenty of facilities; restaurants, gym, spa and shop. However we chose the hotel for its locationa nd the shuttle service. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Thought the internet was poorly priced, i.e. too expensive.
The assistance of your staff.Did not like being charged £9.00 for taxi to Terminal one as I thought £4.00 was figure mentioned by your staff.Patrick Madden.
Had to wait for check in, had no record of room with breakfast booked over the internet but found booking was in first name. good job I printer copy to show.
Clezan, mostly quite quiet, ideally located for Heathrow / m25 For the second time in succession it took nearly an hour to check in as the Active Hotels Booking had not been received by the hotel. Required phonce calls to Active Hotels to resolve. Not what you need at 7pm at night after a long flight etc etc.
Staff were very friendly.Breakfast was excellant. Dinner was first class.
Comfortable bed, well-equipped and clean room. good view, excellent breakfast, including fresh fruit and low fat yoghurt Music played throughout public rooms, particularly too loudly in the bar where one wants a quiet chat.
It was close to the town making travel to central london easy. very small room.
cleanliness , location and facilities no
The location was the only thing we liked. The room was tiny. The bed was really small and breakfast should be included at the prices they charge.
Chose this hotel for it's location and really only slept there as family live in locality but have no room for us to stay. Thought room was a little cramped for hotel rating but it was adequate for our requirements.
Clean, room ok in size for London Internet unstable, only 20 min, should be free or included in the room charge. Long check in and check out procedure.
The situation was ideal for our purpose. The rooms were quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was great though no Shredded Wheat! The view from the room wasn't great with piles of builders stuff and van's unloading etc.,however it was a bargain weekend deal and it didn't really matter.
The main evening meal was poor in relation to the high price they charged
the leisure facilities were good and included in the price the rooms are very small and so are the beds
excellent facilities. main restaurant closed. drink and mini bar prices too high
The size of the room and the Hotel's location poor service at the restaurants
Relaxed atmosphere, good food and efficient staff. The excellent poolside atrium closed at 10 p.m. -- a pity because it was a very pleasant place to sit and relax after dinner.
Had an unexpected layover at LHR. Hotel was convenient to airport. Kind staff, was upgraded to a Club floor room. Room was nice, clean, and comfy.
First class all the way Limited menu selectin in the sports bar
Location and friendly staff Cleanliness
The bed was very comfortable and the room in general was very spacious. Staff were courteous and professional and the choice at breakfast was impressive. The corridors are a bit like a 'rabbit warren' and difficult to locate room.Television required better instructions on simply being able to watch basic channels (button 1 didn't give you BBC1 etc).
Hotel was of poor standard and looked nothing like it did on the website. the room was dirty and the food far to expensive. Hotel staff had very poor understanding of English or they just didnt want to know. the way out
nice room, very comfortable. cheerful and friendly staff. Willing to help. Quite nice swimming pool. Starbucks in the hotel My room was beside a stairwell leading to the carpark and it was left open often. shame the starbucks wasn't 24h
the room very comfortable....near airport. dining a little pricey..but breakfast buffet very good
Easy to find, very good parking deal and helpful and very efficient staff. Room very quiet considering its proximity to Heathrow.
Close to the airport, quiet, well cooked breakfast, excellent Italian restaurant far too expensive for a transit hotel, no warmth, bereft of human kindness in architecture and facilities, matress well worn, so poor nights sleep before travelling, need a second mortgage to buy food and especially drink
Cleanliness of room N/A
The location, the services. And we really like the casual coziness of the Barhemia lounge and cafe. We always enjoy relaxing there, watching tv with food and drinks.
I thought the reception into the hotel was excellent, the staff were very helpful and polite. The room was well appointed, comfortable and very clean.
We only had a overnight stay in the heathrow Marriott so none of the above catagories apply, Nevertheless our short stay was very comfortable, and I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel
The Execuitve Lounge was very small and uncomfortable and certainly not worth paying for an upgrade to get use of it.
The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was quiet despite being located across the street from the hotel. n/a
Convenient to airport. Shuttle bus is GBP 8 per person. If 2 people that's GBP 16. Taxi is GBP 18 - go by taxi! Hotel has a pretty good restaurant. Room upgrade is not worth it - rooms are the same as regular (having stayed before in many rooms here). Good gym and pool. Only 1 computer station in the exec lounge. Should have at least 2. Lots of times had to wait >30 minutes.
Overnight stay at Heathrow, prior ot flight
Family room was offered hence we could stay in the one room as a family. Price of the restaurant
My wife and I are not 'hotel people' but we were blown away by the decor, comfort and especially the friendliness of all the staff.
The location is great, the comfort of the room was important but by the far the friendly staff were fabulous. Long Corridors, nothing else really.
I enjoyed the stay. I think the outside sineage could be better especially at night. Breakfast dear.
Great room, very quiet, very clean, end of the corridor on the 5th floor... Like all the Rugby touches around the Hotel...
The Staff - Just brilliant and very interactive.World Class.
All very good Cold at B/Fest in the resterent
Clean, comfortable and modern room.
Freindly staff light well maintained room None
Hotel is clean, well appointed and luxurious without being overly expensive
Good staff food good Carpark 500yds away phone charges & internet excessive.I Avoid hotels charging for internet.didnt know you could charge so much for calls perhaps you increase them when it rains
Brilliant stay, wonderful location.
Calm atmosphere, relaxed breakfast, no rush no gym
Value for money. Very nice hotel, very tasteful.
we loved staying here! beautiful room, very clean, and very accomodating room service staff, who said they would cook me an English breakfast after 9.30am, as i am allergic to wheat and couldn't have the continental! some of the check in staff on the front desk were Very formal, not too friendly and very snippy with us when we checked out. - we'd arranged late check out, and although we appreciate that the maid was waiting to clean our room for the next guests, we were out by 1pm as agreed. but downstairs, a couple of the staff were definitely icey towards us.
Wonderful view of the Thames from the restaurant. Beautiful internal decor. No tea/coffee tray in room
Friendly staff, comfortable Needs a business centre. Breakfast ends to early - 9H30? Should be until 10h00 or 10h30
the restaurant was devine, though would have been better to have had a wider range of food on offer for the room service. failing to have a gym. Although there are some excellent running routes, a gym would have been prefered
Beautiful location - and extremely pleasant & welcoming staff Some difficulty in getting a table in the restaurant as it was so busy! But only because it's good!
The breakfst was excellent, and would have been god value if not included in the room rate. THe dining experience waas enhanced by the wonderful view from the window down the Thames.
Free internet. Original breakfast offers. Beautiful setting. The fact that most if not all of the staff was foreign (but very friendly) made me think they probably underpay their people...
I liked the fact that it was so close to the highstreet and to Richmond station. It was very convenient and not expensive. The cooked breakfast was not great, but otherwise all ok.
good location limited parking space
The staff were friendly, I booked a room for my friends as their christmas present, the room was cold there was no hot water and the bath room heating did not work. Did not like the fact the staff at breakfast continually spoke to each other in their own language and not English, most of guest were English and I feel this dosnt' make for good relations.
Welcoming staff -clean rooms convenient for station and buses Could be noisy in roadside room.
Clean and friendly hotel, good room and car parking, good value for money Bed somewhat short (I am 6'2)
Good location, nice spacious room, friendly helpful staff; would definitely recommend. Nothing we didn't like
Friendly staff clean rooms and good location excellent breakfast .helpfulness of recetionists in organising our transport to twickenham rugby match
Very convenient location Charged for a coffee that was undrinkable even though this was brought to the staffs attention
Beds were already arranged to accommodate my booking no issues, good comfortable beds and good food. I thought I had booked breakfast with this reservation but that turned out to be extra
The room was nice. Large and comfortable with a great tv. Bathroom was good size and clean. Most staff members were friendly. False advertisement. Wifi was £15 a day when it said it was complimentary. Fitness center was a JOKE and the pictures on the hotels website should be taken down. Staff in dining room ignored us multiple times so we decided to just order room service. The price of the selections offered was ridiculous even for a hotel. I also informed kitchen staff of a food allergy I have, was told a dish was free of my allergen by three people, and later had a reaction from that food. Educate your kitchen staff on common allergies before you seriously harm someone. We heard doors slamming all night long. We were up all night and miserable the next day. I ended up moving to a hotel that was more expensive and lower quality for the next couple of nights.
Good location for an overnight stay near Heathrow airport. Good breakfast and dinner buffet. McDonald is across the street. Transportion to the airport via Hoppa shutle (LB 4.50 each way). Walk is 5 minutes to frree city buses to the airport .
Not much Terrible food, VERY slow internet. This was a Sheraton? Definitely will not recommend.
Great Value for money!
Good sized room Staff could not find booking, had to wait a long while even though I had my confirmation with me. Room was incredibly hot all night even though we had the coolest setting and highest fan setting on. Rubbish nights sleep and long queue at check out the next morning.
Nothing Dirty and unfriendly staff
A bed to sleep Old hotel needs updating
Being so close to the airport was convenient since I had a early morning flight. There wasn't free wifi and access to public transport wasn't very convenient.
