Pros (+) Because we booked through the AMEX Fine Hotels program, we were upgraded to room with a truly fantastic view of North Beach, the bay, and the Bay Bridge; we were comp'ed breakfasts; and we got 5 nights for the price of 4.
Cons (-) The hotel is in the financial district, which is very quiet on weekends.

Pros (+) Very friendly staff, great service. The access to Equinox is fabulous! Prime, prime location--the best!!
Cons (-) In-room dining is awful. I had breakfast twice, and was severely disappointed at the outrageous price for the poor, poor quality of every aspect of the food--coffee is burnt and thick like mud, toast burnt, side vegetables unbelievably expensive with NO quality. The fresh orange juice is good. And that's it. Otherwise, the hotel is just wonderful.
