Barb, Mar 2023 - The Marker Union Square San Francisco
The Marker was a lovely hotel. The staff & manager could not have been nicer. Property was in a good location, safe & clean. I warn all travelers; however, DO NOT book with TRAVELURO!!!! They did not state anywhere on their website that there was a $35 per night resort fee!!! As I was told by the hotel, this is something charged to all guests and all third party vendors ARE fully aware of! Despite...

Lynda, Nov 2019 - Huntington Hotel
Pros (+) The rooms are large and beautiful appointed. We had an incredible view of the city from on top of Nob Hill. Also love the bar in this hotel-- wonderful piano music and atmosphere.
Cons (-) We wish we could have gotten in for dinner at the restaurant in the hotel, but it was booked-- very popular spot with a good chef. We have enjoyed eating here in the past very much.

Cons (-) Hidden Fees!!!! They charge hidden "amenity" fees at check out. Not an honest business.

Jamal, Dec 2017 - The Marker Union Square San Francisco
Pros (+) In the midst of a move, I booked a night at the Marker and was upgraded to a suite. The room was an extravagant escape and I was greeted with a bottle of sparkling wine and chocolate truffles. I really enjoyed my stay and am so grateful to Clayton, the Director of Guest Experience, and every member of the team for making me feel such good care.

John, Apr 2017 - Huntington Hotel
Pros (+) The room was huge for SF hotel standards. Beautiful view toward the Bay. Very comfortable bed. Very quiet - never heard a neighbor even though our room was right next to the elevator. The spa was also very nice. I most recently stayed at the Fairmont, which is also very nice, but I actually preferred the Huntington and it was quite a bit less money.
Cons (-) Wasn't nuts about the restaurant - The Big Four. Very dark. Not a very friendly vibe. (In fairness, we just stopped at the. Ar as we were getting ready to leave). My wife and I ordered Sunday morning mimosas. $32. Just a bit of a downer given that the rest of the experience was so positive

Deborah, Aug 2016 - The Marker Union Square San Francisco
Pros (+) This hotel is well-located -- easy to walk to Union Square and Chinatown, walkable to the waterfront/Embarcadero, and a quick drive to the Mission, Golden Gate Park, etc. The staff could not be more pleasant and helpful. The lobby area is a nice place to lounge, and the rooms are comfortable.
Cons (-) It would be really helpful to have coffee makers in the room or room service -- there is coffee in the lobby, but if you are traveling with kids or have an early morning, it is useful to have it in your room. I didn't care for the fact that the water bottles in the room had price tags. It would also be nice if the wine service rotated wines.

Jim, Jan 2016 - The Marker Union Square San Francisco
Pros (+) It nicely located near Union Square. The staff were very helpful. The hotel was clean and well kept. Our room was very nice except no view but that was ok. The hotel has complementary bikes for guest to use (great way to get around the city). Very comfortable place to stay. Would stay there again.
