Cons. My son and I were looking for an inexpensive place to stay in Fresno while we day hiked in Yosemite and picked this because it was cheap and three stars. The old "for lease" sign on the restaurant was the first indication that this property was In trouble. It was a little surprising when we were asked for an additional $100 security deposit at checkin (it became obvious that they had problems with the way guests treat the rooms). Then there was the security gates to the parking lot and three layers of card access to get to the room, we began to really question the safety of the neighborhood, which seemed decent enough, until we went next door to the gas station for sundries, and found it filled with hookers on their break. Then there's the room. Our first room was dirty and the furnishings were beat up. Drawers were broken and wouldn't close, a light switch in the bathroom had been bashed in and was inoperable, and the toilet and floor hadn't been cleaned. If the room hadn't been non-refundable pre-paid, we would have been gone. So our second room was in better shape, but the bathroom was still not clean. There is no carpet and nothing but sheets on the bed. I'll leave the implications of that to you. Still can't believe we stayed, but felt locked with in by the non-refund policy.
Cons. Garbage was left on the floor from previous visitors. Blankets and sheets appeared to have cigarette burns in them. Most of the towels in the bathroom were stained and mold was present along the shower. Some other visitors on the floor were extremely loud smoking pot in the hall way. I do not recommend staying at this hotel.
