Large space in the rooms for a family. Great breakfast and very clean and new hotel. Short drive to everything and free parking Perfect for the money
Clean. Nice breakfast. Spacious rooms
The staff are very nice and the bed was good The breakfast can be better
Comfortable and clean room. I felt safe in the hotel. Gardena is not the safest city around. A little warm in room when we first arrived, but I understand not turning on AC until guests arrive.
Very clean and friendly Direction on their website was confusing
Central locatation Older hotel, could use some remodeling of rooms.
Rooms were clea Staff was incompetent
unreliable wifi ... too many chinese & japanese channels on tv... no cnn.
The people were very nice, clean room and quiet, food breakfast The only thing we didn't like was that the toilet was really small and low, very low for a disable person.
Lots of good Asian restaurants around, friendly staff, and - for the most part - no reason to complain. Good pricing, too. There were a few ants in different parts of my room, but that was really the only complaint. The lighting wasn't intense, but it usually isn't in hotels.
It's a very sketchy hotel. I never felt completely comfortable the whole time I was there. The decor was drab and used, there were guests that weren't leaving much to the imagination, and some other things that made this into a seedy motel. I liked the location and that's about it.
Very friendly staff and the room was extremely clean. Area was very quiet. Bed could have been more comfortable and furniutre in general looked a bit weathered and in need of replacement.
They didnt give me my room service because i ask for towels earlier than they decided to do house keeping Honestly nothing about the hotel its good!!!
The location pretty much It had severe water damage you get what you pay for it actually rained down in the bathroom in the middle of the night and room smelled musky remember you get what you pay for
The wifi is reliable. I was made to pay for an extra night because reception staff couldn't remember that May has 31 days.
Close to airport
Friday morning there was a breakfast buffet with egg and sausage patties, waffles (cook your own) , muffins, fruit, coffee, fresh fruit and various waffle toppings. There was instant oatmeal and dry cereal with milk as well. I'm sure I might have missed a few items, but I was very satisfied with the choices. Ample tables and chairs to accommodate everyone who choose to stay there. Bring a tray from the room if you want to take it to go (breakfast in bed?). Warm room. There were too few stations on tv and only one chair in the room, but I'm sure I could have gotten another one if I asked. Wifi was spotty on 6th floor. Parking fee of $15 was unexpected.
great breakfast included. airport shuttle was very convenient. staff was friendly. bed was comfortable and everything was clean and up to date.
Super amazing beds! Breakfast is decent. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Climate control didn't work in room, I don't think it worked on the entire floor so be sure to ask about it when you check in. Hair dryer was from the 80's. Parking for $15 seemed excessive.
I called hotel 3 times and shuttle never came at airport. I had to wait for 1 hr finally I took a cab to hotel DO NOT take this hotel if you want shuttle from airport.
IT'S ALL ABOUT THE STAFF.....from our late check- in to shuttle arrival at LAX. Having limited knowledge of the vast local area, we chose this hotel because of the Wyndham name and its location to the airport. Each and every person of the staff treated us professionally, pleasantly and with a sense of real care regardless of the job description. Hats off to this team!
Called ahead to let them know I would arrive late. They said no problem. When I arrive they gave my room away and instead of 2 beds we got a bed and a pullout. Not OK. The first room they gave us had no water pressure so we had to move to another room. The front desk attendant had absolutely no remorse or empathy about the situation. Terrible service complete and total liars...
the location and being close to the airport for an early morning flight The hotel. The dirty worn out wallpaper, the broken AC units, the bathtubs that don't drain durning a shower. The hotel smelled like old cigarettes and the carpet in my room was dirty with crumbs. The pillows are all lumpy and half the size of a standard pillow. We requested different pillows but we're given the same type of gross lumpy pillows.
Room had a stale smell. AC cut off and on all night and was very loud.
Easy access, comfy bed, great amenities (tea, coffee, hot water in the lobby), friendly staff The shower head and towels need updating
The staff is friendly and the building itself was pretty quiet give its proximity to landing strips at LAX. The exercise facility is quite nice. The express breakfast is limited, but gives a few options. My room was not clean--and frankly wasn't ready when I checked in at 4:00 pm (no bath towels). Toilet didn't flush well. Water didn't drain well in shower.
I can't begin to find words to express how much we enjoyed our stay at the Marina del Rey Ritz Carlton! We arrived on a Wednesday morning with a sick child. The staff immediately took charge helping to get us situated with a room and going so far above and beyond ensuring that our stay was enjoyable. From the person who greeted us to take our luggage, to the valet, to the front desk staff to the wait staff in the restaurant and the gift shop (which opened up for us to get us meds in the middle of the night) to the manager who followed up even after we had left their hotel, every layer was kind, attentive and fantastic! They honestly made us feel like we were at home with family who was concerned about us. What a fantastic experience! T
Nice place, but not worth the Ritz premium. I would stay at the JW Marriott in Santa Monica next time I'm in the area.
Hotel staff was outstanding; from valet, front desk & concierge all the way through to pool attendants, room service and bell desk.
Staff is great, and generally a very nice hotel. Doesn't live up to our expectations based on previous experiences at other Ritz hotels. It feels tired, not as luxurious as others, and is starting to show some age without upkeep. A simple example would be the pool has cracked tiles and feels rundown.
I like the avalibiliy of the staff For a younger crowd in there 25-30 age it's not an appeasing hotel it's more for older crowd like 50-60 so for me being a pro Olympic athlete and being 23 yrs old I didn't enjoy it that much
the location room service food. the french soup was disgusting. There was also no glasses in the room. time it took to get the food valet parking took 15 mins to get our car
Marina Totality , needs upgraded , bathrooms , amenities , need more restaurants .
I liked that the hotel was near the water, close to a concert I was attending. I booked this hotel because they had balconies and it was near the water. The balcony was closed due to renovations. The bath tub was small , hotel was a little outdated. Not as special as a experience as I was hoping for
We stayed at Ayres Hotel at the beginning of our trip through California. It is conveniently located near LA airport. From here it's a short trip to either Disneyland, Beverly Hills, Hollywood of any of the beaches near Santa Monica, Venice or Manhatta Beach. Staff was very friendly and the Matiss restaurant serves excellent diner. Both the lounge menu and the entrees contain very well-tasting choices. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of this in-hotel restaurant. Furthermore, we were welcomed with Mexican-style music as a wedding was going on at our arrival.
Nice pictures from russian soviet times :) Maybe not so fast brekfast
It looks like an arts museum. We felt very cosy with its European charm, classy decor and inner courtyard. Amazing amenities for budget-savvy travelers, that we haven't encountered at this class of hotels before: microwave and fridge in the room, in couple with free Internet and free parking it gave an excellent value for the money paid. Staff is going out of the way to help, very friendly and professional. Everything was spotless and everything worked! Matisse restaurant exceeded our expectations with great food and service for the prix fixe menu. Breakfast was filling and tasty (loved the roasted potatoes!) And late checkout (12 p.m.) worked very nicely into our lazy vacation schedule:) Could not quite find anything wrong... Keep the excellent job going, folk! It was kinda far from most of places tourists flock in, but close to the airport.
Hotel facilities were excellent for families. Breakfast was well received by parents with good selection of cereals and fruit and less focus on hot meals.
atmosphere, comfort, russian oil paintings breakfat (organisation)
The room size and location
Hotel is located near the international aeroport, it is very convenient for travelers. We liked a really nice design and spaciousness of the room, friendly hotel staff, simple and free of charge parking near the hotel All restaurants and bars except McDonalds are closed after 10pm
Room was very nice, comfortable, breakfast was great, location next to an exit for I405 was good, its LA you have to have a car No
We had a very pleasant, two night stay at the Ayres Hotel, which is quite a specialty. It's a "European Classic Style" hotel in a modern business like location. The staff was very friendely, the room nice, the beds comfortable and the restaurant (also for the included breakfast) is very nice for the price. Recommended.
good value for the price
It was a peaceful getaway for me and my wife. Very enjoyable and relaxing. Room service was magnificent.
House keeping staff are friendly and quick at preparing the room. Check in staff was friendly and it was a quick process. Clean room with a lot of space and giant mirror, balcony and fridge. The fitness center is a small room with mainly cardio machines. Please add some free weights. The elevators, vending machine and ice are located in just one area of the hotel; my room was literally 88 rooms away from them. The bathroom next door had a pipe issue that would make a huge noise every time the guest was using it and woke me up several times at night and in the morning. At check out, the front desk lady was in a hurry and unfriendly (I didn't catch her name but she was red headed with eyeglasses).
I didn't get the room I reserved, I paid for ocean view room and I got a street view room
Nice staff. Some rooms can be quite an extended walk from the elevators.
I like the location being close to the ocean and restaurants.
We had a very nice stay and will return in the future. Our son and family were also there and we all found the hotel to be helpful and attentive to our needs. The location is great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We found the staff to be very helpful and willing to go the extra mile to make sure we were happy. 5 stars. We also did NOT like the parking fees, but with that the only negative it's not such a big deal.
We were extremely early checking in as we came off an international flight. The staff accommodated us by 9am and also gave us a room with a view. Couldn't have been happier.
The hotel is great. Beautiful rooms, nice location, great staff. The breakfast is expansive and very poor. There is a very good restaurant 20 meters from the hotel where it is possible to eat a great breakfast at a good price.
Nothing really - just an overnight stay Bar/Restaurant was terrible. Staff ignored us - we left after 15 minutes, without being served.
Liked the room. View was beautiful. Didn't like paying for parking and getting a 100 fee that they say is mandatory after paying 170 for a room that was very pricy,
I loved the all around look and feel of the hotel. It was clean, the staff was hospitable, and the room was amazing. Parking in the parking garage was an additional $125 for the 5 nights I stayed and was not disclosed when booking the hotel.
View Could not change reservation when plans changed. Awful
Room service and housekeeping had the best customer service at of whole hotel! It looks like a hospital. No one greets you or shows that they want to be of service. I was looking forward to a bath after long conference and when turning on the water a huge clump of hair came out of drain and killed it for me.
We love this hotel and this was our second stay in 4 years. We love everything about it and the staff is exceptionally friendly and wonderful. The only complaint was this was booked through Kayak and we booked a "Premier Oceanfront Room King Bed". It was confirmed and stated on our confirmation in three different places. Upon arrival, they had us booked in a double bed oceanfront room (not premier which is the 2nd and 3rd floors and not a king bed) and they were adamant that was what Kayak booked us in. When we showed them the printed confirmation from Kayak they gave us the Premier Oceanfront King on 2nd Floor. Anyone booking through Kayak should absolutely call the hotel to confirm what they show you are booked in prior to arrival as obviously there are some issues there when booking through a third party like Kayak.
Valet attendants were great Front desk employess very very very careless and non hospitable
The hotel looked as though it had been remodeled fairly recently. It was well designed and had a very cozy great room/lobby with a fireplace and a bar. The rooms were large, clean and very nice. We had an amazing ocean view and the front desk upgraded us for free. The restaurant across the parking lot is part of the hotel and was delicious. It was a great place to spend our 6 year anniversary.
Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are nice and the views are just breath taking on ocean side Marina side room by parking lot on 1st floor. They need to build that up with plants for privacy. People walking by looking in, noicey from people and cars. We had the staff move us to another room or we were leaving. They almost lost a week long customer when all it would take are some trees, hedges and plants for privacy. You can't see the marina anyways from the 1st floor
Had to pay extra for parking, breakfast and Internet. Internet starting dropping every 20 mins one day even after paying. Lost my dry cleaning for three days. The phone did not work and I had to tell the front desk three to four times before it was fixed. The gym is tiny. For this price surely these should not be issues.
We loved the very cosy 'livingroom' bar with fireplace and live music....and Baleen, the restaurant and bar, also with live music was very nice!
clean & comfortable some of the lights didnt work, like the vanity mirror in the bathroom. the tv wasnt in HD..wifi also scared me cuss it might charge $11.99 ice machine on our floor was broken as well.
Rooms, bathrooms and hotel need to be remodeled.
Location Parking and amenities fee
The room was spacious and had a wonderful view of the ocean. Very nice staff. Room was very close to outside pool and jacuzzi and had to listen to people in the jacuzzi talking until midnight.
Stayed here at the tail end of our honeymoon. Beautiful in-room finishes, modern yet charming. Ocean view rooms with views of a colony of cute barking sea lions, complete with sailboats passing by! Spectacular. Would stay again.
The lobby and seating area are lovely and a nice place for a quick breakfast or glass of wine in the evening. The room categories are misleading: the hotel is behind a breaker wall and therefore on a canal not oceanfront.
My husband and I had a fabulous stay at the Marina del Rey Hotel. Our room had a amazing view of the marina, was very well appointed and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to that part of LA.
Vibrant lounge with a nice view of the marina. $30 valet only parking option!! Weird odor in the room
The remodel is first class. The front desk service was fine. The dining was terrible. Slow inattentive service, overdone steak, raw salmon, overpriced.
We loved the view, facilities, great beds and location of the hotel. No complaints.
Ambiance was great from the beachy/sea vibe in the lobby with the "flying" seagull sculptures hanging from the ceiling a wonderful scent machine in the lobby that makes you feel like you are at the beach. Very romantic setting at the outside bar complete with couches and fire pits. Beds were super comfortable. $30/day for valet parking is a bit steep when there is plenty of parking around the hotel. Give an option for people to park their own cars, even if you have to charge a fee.
Check in was super fast. Parking was free & in a gated parking garage which gives peace of mind. Hotel looked updated and clean. Room was clean and roomy. Bathroom was telling perfect size. Wifi was free which is always great. TV worked well. The hotel room bed was super comfy. And the breakfast in the morning deserves a 5 star rating! Shower was probably the only downside.. the water was luke warm at its hottest & I didn't like the shower head water settings.
I booked a handicapped accessible room online and when checking in they had no record. Other than the booking problem I thought it was an excellent hotel.
I've stayed here twice. Both times were great. Clean rooms and bathroom. Comfortable beds. Pillows a little flat. Clean modern feel establishment. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Nice continental breakfast. If you have the time you can monitor the rates and save at least $20 off the normal daily rate. Love this hotel. Will continue to use as my primary place to stay. If you aren't familiar with the city it can appear to be a bad area. It's really not bad but it's definitely not Beverly Hills. All the major fast food places are in walking distance. Close to the airport and freeway. Needs to put a microwave in the lobby with continental breakfast.
I had a flight in the early morning so I stayed here for one night. Room was spacious, clean, and convenient. Price to value was perfect. Free secure parking but you have to walk back down the parking lot and enter the building from the front instead of through the parking lot. The best thing is that it was 8 minutes from the airport! The area was a little sketchy and not a lot of food options near by. The woman at the front desk in the morning could have been a little more helpful. We left our car keys and room key in the room while rushing to our flight, and we had to wait for her to "finish her transaction" in order to get the keys. Breakfast eggs were not fresh and you could taste it but there were plenty of other options.
Everything was wonderful. The rooms are nice spacious and clean. The service was excellent. the breakfast was hot fresh and had many items. The indoor heated pool was very nice for the kids as we went in December and the weather was a bit chilly. Parking is free and the attached garage has plenty of space. Nothing
Very clen, good breakfast and friendly staff.
Staff very friendly and accomodating. Was having work done on my apartment and needed a place to crash. everything was fine
We booked through a travel site and Hampton Inn staff was ill-prepared. Although we paid for three nights, Hampton Inn checked us out after the first night and I had to check us in again. Moreover, we were charged again for the stay even though we paid up front through the travel site. Getting our money back or to even get Hampton Inn to recognize the error was a nightmare. We recommended Hampton Inn to our relatives who were also staying for the Thanksgiving holiday. Because of my wife and I, Hampton Inn booked four rooms. Never again! We will never stay at a Hampton Inn again.
One of the best Hampton inns I have stayed at !! Have stayed here 2x's and will return
Overall we loved the hotel and will go back. Very clean, comfortable, quiet. Nice restaurant/bar upstairs. Courtyard peaceful. Staff very friendly. The paintings of the "Barbie"-like girls in the hallway were odd.
I arrived late because my flight from Miami was delayed a few hours. As I walked in around midnight, the staff helped me load up my suitcases into a trolley and directed me to where I could take my dog out for a walk. I ordered a breakfast that night for sometime between 9:00am and 9:30am the following morning, and it arrived promptly by 9:05am. The staff also allowed for a later check-out at 12:30pm to give me time to maneuver my belonging and dog. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. I would recommend. They stopped serving food for room service pretty early.
Clean. Staff is very friendly. Has a nice vibe. Close to airport. My room particularly overlooked busy street. Decent stay for decent price
The hotel has many positives such as: clean surroundings, friendly staff, great food, free wifi, & an inexpensive valet. N/A
Very comfortable beds. Love the hip decor. Would come back again. Really Nice people. In general we really enjoyed Manhattan Beach more than other coastal cities. It's less cramped feeling and has a wonderful Beach. Valet parking. I'm guessing you could park in neighboring streets if you wanted. It's on a busy street but it's nestled back a bit so you don't feel it.
The staff couldn't have been nicer and it made the stay that much more enjoyable! Highly recommended and will stay here again!
We loved the location, cleanliness, size of the room and price. Room service- the breakfast was awful! We didn't eat all of it because it was a soggy wet fried egg sandwich with rolls of lunch meat and wet uncooked spinach. Honestly don't get breakfast there. Also the front desk girl didn't make eye contact or smile once- not sure why but that got to me.
Love the idea if complementary cookies. I didn't eat any but the idea is great. Thanks. They nickle and dime you on the breakfast. $9.99 for a bowl of oatmeal. Nooooo! So sad. $30.00 for the two of us to have eggs, sausage and potatoes. Really. And the OJ was a separate charge, ouch.
Friendly and helpful staff Clean Included wired and wireless Internet access (~8 Mbs up & down) Valet parking only ($15/day) Dated interiors Floors are creaky, can easily hear the guests walking around in room above
I really thought the room was lovely--large. Things seemed updated and clean. Bed was fairly comfortable--everything worked well. Staff was warm and friendly. Cookies in the afternoon provided at front desk. First bellman didn't tell us that we could stay parked in the Handicapped Parking spot in front. Second bellman did, but a $10.00 charge appeared on the final bill. Staff took it off when I explained. Requested 4 pillows and a view as our most important request. No view and only 2 pillows on bed when we arrived. Bellman brought two more pillows after a phone call. Artwork in hallway is a series of gigantic pictures of 1950 ish dolls---creepy. Including a 5X7 framed photo of one of the doll pictures on the desk in the room. i could see one, but entire hall lined with them.
The room decor and space were both excellent. The bed felt firm in an inexpensive fashion, but was still reasonable in comfort. The real reason for the low rating in an otherwise four star establishment was the complete lack of hot water pressure at 1030 am on a weekday.
A luxury hotel close to the Beach and still within walking distance to restaurants. Nothing!
location, location, location! fluffy bed, free breakfast, room amenities and decor.
I liked the location. The beach so close, the strand for bike riding, the many selections for restaurants, especially breakfast, and little shops at the pier. Weather was awesome too. I didn't like our room looking out to a public part, but the ocean just beyond it was beautiful. The kids skateboarding just outside our room was annoying, along with people coming and going from public parking and restaurant across the street.
Loved the fantastic view and perfect location to beach activities, shopping and dining.Coffee and pastries were delicious. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Amazing beach view, comfortable bed, nice fireplace and sitting area with small kitchenette. Hot tub was in the back of the hotel and did not look clean.
Wat i liked the most was tht we playd music all night n no one complained. They did nt ask what beach view i wanted. And they jus gave me a room when i knw i was the 1st there.
Second time I've been here and it's sill great! It's about a 15 minute drive to hermosa beach, 25 minute drive to Santa Monica, and downtown LA. It's a great price for the location and seems to be some what of a hidden gem because I didn't see a lot of people there. It's also really close to a lot of great asian restaurants and this awesome burger place called pit burger. Look it up. Anyways, if you're looking for something thats cheap, good, and with a great location then this is it
The couple were really nice. Anything you wanted to know they would tell you and whatever you needed for your room they took care. The rooms were clean and they looked pretty updated. Had a nice flat screen tv an LG model. I also liked the terrace style away from the busy streets. Plus tables, plants and trees to make it look nice. Also close to beaches and other stuff we wanted to do in LA. Overall I really like this place and would stay here again if Im in LA. The breakfast selection wasn't much. Just some coffee, cereal and cinnamon rolls. But there were good breakfast places around so it wasn't that big of a deal. Their are better areas in LA to stay, but I didn't have any problems while there, plus for the money it was good enough for me.
- Parking, which is free. Dunno about safety though. - Pretty quite AC - Close to Target store A LOT: - Constant shake, felt like earrthquake actually, and it did wake me up. Not sure what causes it. Maybe traffic. - I paid $93 + tax this March, through Kayak and maybe redirected to expedia or something. The room is BAREBONE. An empty space in front of the bed and they put a very small square table and 2 chairs. The TV is placed on the wall. Even Motel 6 provided long drawers to put our stuff. - There is only 1 mirror by the sink. - Provided small thin they called as towels. I had to ask for more. - The toilet was backed up, we had to ask for plunger. - Bed was not really comfortable - Smell of people smoking outside - Water smells and taste weird - Located in a questionable neighborhood. Here's the statistics I found online: Estimated median household income in 2012: $47,259 (it was $38,988 in 2000) Gardena:$47,259 CA:$58,328 Hispanic - 21,905 (36.7%) Asian alone - 16,356 (27.4%) Black alone - 13,910 (23.3%) White alone - 5,277 (8.8%) Two or more races - 1,574 (2.6%) Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander alone - 388 (0.6%) Other race alone - 248 (0.4%) American Indian alone - 30 (0.05%) WE PICKED THIS HOTEL BASED ON OTHER REVIEWS AND COME TO DISSAPOINTMENT. I DON'T KNOW HOW OTHER REVIEWS WROTE OTHERWISE. BUT WE PROBABLY WON'T COMING BACK. WONDER IF THOSE REVIEWS ARE FAKES, SUCH AS FROM FRIENDS OR RELATIVE. JUST A THOUGHT.
Quiet and Clean Old building structure
The owners have renovated the rooms to look very very nice. The rooms had a microwave and refrigerator and also flat screen T . We stayed at a 4 star hotel after we stayed there, and wished we hadn't left gardena hotel
Room was nice and clean Parking for $37, valet only was a rip-off!
Parking fee not included in stay
Service Rooms not ready for check in
The service and staff were great - hotel is very nice!
Bed Air conditioner not working unfriendly staff
The room was excellent and in perfect condition. The bed was terrific. The room was quiet, even near LAX. The driveway area in front is very small. They need a sign: "Park in undergound garage and take elevator to lobby to check in."
I choose this hotel based on photos online , however they must have stolen the pictures from another site as the building nor the rooms were anything like the photos. It wasn't a terrible stay, but when I think the hilton was the same amount I should have just stayed there instead. Especially when this hotel charged for parking as well. I wouldn't stay here again unless it's around $65 dollars.
I liked the overall setup of the room. I found it to be very accomodating. The front desk did send someone upstairs; only to find out the person screaming had a mental condition. I was told that had the hotel staff known other arrangements could have been made. In the meantime; the screams continuad off and on my entire stay. I found it very disturbing and wondered how the hotel could have it differently.
For a "budget" hotel this close to the airport, they don't have to try as hard as they do to make you comfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We even got upgraded to a jacuzzi room for no reason!
very good value for money, excellent continental breakfast available, room was very clean and tidy, lovely decor. The pool and spa made for a relaxing wind down. Small brekfast room
the room, services and confort are vety good. The staff is friendly.
The rooms were decent sized Bad neighborhood, the shuttle driver didn't drive our shuttle bus time because he wanted to finish his coffee, the beds are very uncomfortable, we bought an executive room and they don't tell you until you get there that instead of having smoking and nonsmoking that they just stick an air purifier in the room and call it good.
The comfortable beds. Having to pay $10 for extra guets to park. Very thin walls. I could hear the people next door and on top!
Close to LAX. Clean hotel. Great breakfast. Free parking. Water pressure could be a bit higher
The room is cosy and facilities are good like internet, microwave oven, etc. I would go there again if I have get the opportunity. no complaints
it is close to airport and staff is kind. no regular shuttle to airport except on request, it is not easy for people who doesn't drive car as the communication in south CA is poor.
The room was relaxing and comfortable. It was perfect for my wife and I to celebrate our anniversary. The price was a bit much for what it offered but I was willing to pay becuase of the location and it was a nice place to stay at.
Very dark and claustrophobic rooms. The colors are dark for a spa hotel. And very noisy. We don't call a spa hotel just because there is a tub in the room. more "willing to help" personnel instead of pretentious trendy ones. we request service.
- the staff were very friendly at all times - the location of the hotel was great, Manhattan beach and the surrounding area are lovely and its an easy 30 minute drive to central LA - it was very busy, the foyet doubles as the bar which was constantly busy with parties, this meant that there was nowhere for the hotel guests to relax or sit with a drink - the lighting in the room was very dark and due to being overlooked by the main road (ground floor) we could not open curtains to enjoy the sunshine, it began to feel a little depressing in the room!
THe desk staff was very attentive and accommodating.
Location, room amenities Expensive, no complimentary waters in rooms or glasses (must be requested from front desk), couldn't get logged onto the wireless internet network in the hotel, loud party til 2:30 a.m.
the ambiance, proximity to the strand/beach, complimentary breakfast, overall service was good. it has the "cool" factor of the club atmosphere at the front desk. however, it is sort of unsettling checking in late in the evening in the middle of the club, without being all done up and all the clubgoers are sort of checking you out while you stand at the front desk. i recommend trying to check in before the night life begins there if you are at all self-conscious. i like the complimentary use of bikes and beach chairs. when we arrived our room was extremely hot - even the bellman commented on it. However, after 2 hours the a/c was still not working to get the temp down. We called to front desk at midnight and said we would like to change rooms in the morning. the next day no one contacted us to see if the problem was remedied. the a/c system is strange - it cut on and off all night. in the middle of the night it was very hot in the room but by morning it was freezing cold. the temperature never stayed consistent. it was a very disruptive 3 nights of sleep with the constant temp changes and the clicking and humming of the system turning off and on all night (approx every 20 minutes).
Staff were very helpful and location was perfect. Close to all the action yet quiet. In the evening you had to enter hotel through lounge bar which at weekends was packed so not ideal with kids.
We loved the location. And we loved the quiet professional attitude of all staff- everything done with a smile and curtious attitude. Extremely service minded- which made us feel valued as customers and we will definately stopover again.
the room was very clean. there wasn't anything i didn't like on this trip.
i really enjoy this stay my room didn't smell like smoke not this time
The courtyard outside the room No

the location of my room i didn't get a chance to stay more than a day. i was very relaxed
Absolutely NOTHING Bed bugs, bugs in tub and sink, sticky floors, no fresh bed sheets or pillow cases upon arrival, long black hairs all over, no continental breakfast, no vending machines, no WiFi, tried to check out the next morning and was told to bad no refund.
I like the design of the hotel with its privacy that secludes the rooms from view. The maid staff were friendly. The bedding was very comfortable. The chairs in the rooms were very soiled. One of the rooms toilet seat was very worn. The employee that assigned the rooms would only issue one key per room although knowing there were two in each room. He was very abrasive and unfriendly.

Great Staff I had no option for a non smoking room, no problem. I booked another week and requested a non smoking room for that booking and was advised the entire floor was non smoking, My room smelled like smoke and had four ashtrays inside so that threw me off.
The hotel is located in the beautiful town of Williams. We stayed there to visit the Grand Canyon and the commute was little over an hour and the route was so lovely. The decor in the room was very nice. There was no iron in the room.we were on vacation and it was not that important.
Nothing The pictures were not a good representation of the hotel I was very disappointed with the service given by the management . They told us we couldn't have any company. Sad, terrible, horrible
The hotel is realy gret. Great staff, wonderful instalations..... So I really could live there. The price and the cost to park, once the garage is inside the building of the hotel.
Was given great upgrade; rooftop is fantastic Absolutely everything was great!
Hotel Erwin is perfectly located on Venice beach, the staff is excellent, restaurant serves excellent breakfasts, nothing to complain about.
It was close and convenient to my son who lives in Venice. Stayed there in Dec. in the newer rooms on the top floor which was much nicer than the room I had this time. Also, I think the 6th. floor room was about the same price as the room where I was this time.(5th floor) Yes, I opened the sliding door during the night for some fresh air. It was difficult to sleep because of the noise(homeless sleeping in the alley) that my room overlooked.
We loved the new and greatly designed rooms, as well as the young atmosphere of the hotel. The rooftop bar will take off - it is a great place. We will be back! The staff needs some more time together to make everything run smoothly. But they were always very nice and friendly - thanks for a great time with you!
Miguel was fabulous and helped us in many ways, he went above and beyond. The entire staff was friendly and helpful The music on the roof did keep us up, and the ear plugs cost money
Great location, very new, and very nice staff! Perfect place in Venice.
