Staff rude with poor service. Cancelled our car 5 hours after we made reservation and only an hour before our flight to where we would pick it up. Offered no help, simply said we do not have a car for you anymore. Told me “you can walk” when I asked her what does she think how will we get home which

Cons:

They did give us a bit of a discount, which helped with the added cost of transportation downtown from airport, but it was very upsetting

Cons:

My booking was intended to be at the airport. I googled “grand junction car rentals” and it automatically propagated the downtown location for me, but it did not say non airport. It should have been clearer that this was not an airport rental. When I went back on the website after my trip to see what went wrong, it did the same thing. If I change the location that said Grand Junction then I see the top choice is airport, but the original google search automatically put in the downtown location as pick up and drop off. When I do searches in Kayak and other sites it is very clear, but the Enterprise site was not. This was very inconvenient! I’ve never had this happen before.

Such a small airport that there isn't an actual drop off booth. Just park the rental car in the Enterprise row, lock the door, drop off the keys at the counter and go. So easy, no fuss.

The vehicle was supposed to be at an offsite location. I hailed an Uber at the airport and went to the location at around 4pm on 3/3. It was closed, no one alerted me. Cost me $40 to go back to the airport. There were no other rental cars available. We had to hire a Lyft ride to take us from Grand Junction to Aspen.

Not much - was a super average

Cons:

The staff here were wonderful the second day, but the pick-up was very hostile, and dismissive. They did the usual add-on speel - you want X, X, X? However they tried to push an upgrade on me - I live here and I think they thought I was a tourist. You do NOT need a full 4x4 for these mountain roads... This is Colorado, not the steppes of Mongolia.

I was charged an additional $500 for a “one way fee” however no one could explain to me why I was charged. It was not on my original receipt and the worker at the return desk could not explain it. I called customer service and was only refunded $300. No workers could explain why I was charged this fee. I would like an additional $200 refunded for this fee that could not be explained to me.

Cons:

The interior of the vehicle was very dirty. Carpet was NOT vacuumed, dash and surfaces were not wiped down, so I know it was not sanitized. My wife and I had to sanitize the entire vehicle prior to our leaving the lot. This is a very sensitive time and to have a rental vehicle not properly prepared for a guest is disappointing. Had we not been late for an engagement, I would have returned the vehicle and rented elsewhere.

Pros:

The staff was absolutely horrible, I made a reservation online.. when my plane landed.. the car rental place was closed an I had to fine away out of the airport. When I called customer service they told me they couldn't help me and it wasn't their problem.. No when I asked to be transferred to a supervisor she informed me there was no one there to assist me and hung up.. so not only did I not get my rental at all.. but I also had the most rude representative on earth.. very upset!! Wasted a total of 3 hours of my time

Cons:

make sure if you are accepting reservations for rentals.. that someone is actually there to assist the customer.. and bump up your customer service... absolutely appalled.

We had to cancel our trip due to covid and could not get a refund.It was my mistake for not reading the refund policy more carefully. Had I done so I would not have booked the rental. I will not be using this company anymore.

Pros:

Great car for the price!

Cons:

I guess the low price was the reason the vehicle had so few features (no CarPlay or navigation) seemed to be very base model of Nissan Rogue. Rear window appeared to have been replaced (you could see the places where the window “grips” were when they installed it - and the rear window defrost/defog didn’t work either)

Pros:

The woman who assisted me with my car pick up was so helpful! She provided a map of the area, drew routes on the map for me, and provided tips for grocery stores, etc. She also permitted me to park in the rental lot when I returned that evening to pick up my sister at the airport.

The staff was not friendly or helpful.

Cons:

There could've actually been a car reserved... No cars available for six hours when I arrived to pick up. This caused my trip to be cancelled. Don't confirm booking for your customers if there aren't any cars available.

Pros:

We had a stone kicked up from an 18 wheeler and was concerned about how to handle the issue with Hertz since were didn't take out the extra coverage. We called our insurance and had everything arranged but did have a deductible. When we pulled into Hertz, the al who managed our car in Phoenix gave us a flat rate which was less then our deductible and did it all in one transaction. I had envisioned having to hassle with a manager but it was painless and we paid the flat amount. Car was great and we couldn't have been happier!

Cons:

Car wasn't ready she we arrived to Grand Junction, which wasn't a big deal but they did ask us if we would take a smaller car but it turned out the price was higher for the smaller car. We went to lunch and got the bigger car - a Nissan Rogue, which was very ice.

Cons:

No car! I drove 3 hours to pick up a car I reserved with Kayak. I had never used Kayak to reserve and I certainly won't use it or recommend it ever again! When I arrived they said that even though I had a reservation that they were out of cars! No other companies had cars either and it left me totally stranded! How can u make a reservation without making sure the company actually had a car first? Extremely disappointed and very frustrated.

Cons:

When I showed up to pick up my vehicle they had no cars left. I asked to upgrade when they did have more cars driven in from a nearby hertz. They said "those are for the people who reserved a larger car" and that I reserved a economy. I mentioned that they gave away my car so why can't they alow me to have somebody else's and if they would please tell me why they gave away my car. When I asked her to explain she simply said "no" honest to God she said no she won't explain. I recorded this conversation on my phone. Will be happy to send the video of this conversation. I was calm and did not yell. I just simply got "no" for an answer when I asked if she would explain. Was a arrogant horrific answer.

I was able to choose the exact car I wanted and was even able to reserve a cooler and boogie board to use for the week. The car was in like-new condition. The free shuttle was convenient, fast and the drivers were nice. The location was a little bit further from the airport, but it wasn't a problem.

It was the first time we rented via Turo, so I don't have a good base reference to compare in general, and can only compare to car rental experiences with commercial fleets (like Budget or Enterprise). In general it was okay -- we made it to where we were going and back, with no major issues. It's doable. However, there were some "surprises" where things didn't quite got as we expected: * We made rental reservation with expectation that we're picking up at the airport. When we got there, it turned out that the car is not at the airport, and the address given to us turned out to be what seemed to be Portland's airport Fire Rescue Tower (where, obviously, we can't even walk to or be at). We called the owner, and turned out that the car is at some house that's "not far" from the airport, and gave us new address. So additional expense of taking Uber/Lyft to get to the car (and apparently that address exists in two neighboring towns, and somehow Uber/Lyft took us first to the wrong one, so we had to take another ride, but that's not a Turo issue, just more expense as a consequence of car not being at the airport as promised). * When we got there, we called the owner to get the keys: "-- Keys are under front door's floormat. -- Nope, they're not there. -- Then try mailbox? -- Yes, they're there." The owner wasn't there, which is okay to do this all remote, but would be nicer if owner was in general "on top of things" such as where the car is and where it is expected to be picked up, where exactly are its keys, etc. * Then owner requested that prior to return we take the car to be washed and cleaned inside and out. We neither planned on looking for car detailing places in Portland, nor for time that it would take away from sightseeing, nor for extra substantial expense it would be. We pushed back and the owner backed off saying that he'll let it go due to confusion with pickup location (and apparently he didn't send some email that he was supposed to send, or something along those lines). * And while the car wasn't too dirty, it wasn't clean to begin with (which made detailing request that more amusingly odd). Crumbs on floor and seats and luggage compartment. Worst part was that windshield was dirty on the inside that was minor unpleasant at daytime, but as driving progressed into night time, it was quite significant as it was blurring lights and affected visibility substantially. * We also added additional driver thru Turo and let the owner know. The owner requested that we send him picture of drivers license directly to him. We refused (as it didn't seem right, given that Turo is the one that manages that aspect) and he backed off. * Of course, additional expense of Uber/Lyft after return drop-off as we weren't dropping it off at the airport as originally planned. So all in all we probably spent additional $50-60 in Uber/Lyft for getting to and from cars location instead of it being in the airport, and lost about 3+ hours for dealing with additional unplanned travel. The rest was okay. Car drove fine and didn't give any problems.
