Pros: The amount I paid and the fast service was great.
Cons: The car was full of dog hair from the previous renter I'm assuming. When I first saw it I thought it was just a little but but oh noooo... it was everywhere!!! Like how did the clerk miss that??? Like what if I was allergic to dogs???? I had to rush and leave so I didn't have time to switch the car out.

Cons: I made it very clear the day before my trip that I needed a small car and the time I would arrive to pick up the car. I arrived only to find a note on the door saying back in 5 minutes and waited 40 minutes. I did not get what I had asked for and was given a choice between 2 vehicles which I was extremely unhappy about. Out of desperation I chose the somewhat smaller of the two, but found it a bit difficult to drive. I am very angry at how this was handled.

Pretty good experience
Pros: My car was ready when I arrived. The man who helped me to check-out the car was helpful. The gentleman who helped me with drop-off was really nice (just overall friendly and helpful,) but I had to wait a while for him to come help. I believe he may have been helping someone else. The price to re-fill gas at drop off was very competitive and I should have taken advantage of that.
Cons: The car wasn't as clean as I thought it was going to be. There was someone empty dry cleaning bag in the trunk. Exterior of the car looked like it was probably washed 48 hours prior and there were water spots all over. It wasn't a filthy car or anything, but just not as clean as I was expecting. I did have to wait more than 5 minutes for someone to help me with dropoff, but I suspected the person was probably helping someone else outside. When he did come to help he was helpful and had a great attitude. Hertz didn't have a record of the insurance policy I purchased when I booked on Kayak. It might be a good idea to let the car services know when one of Kayak's customers purchases the insurance policy. Some mild confusion was created when the gentleman at checkout started talking about insurance options and I told him that I already purchased insurance, but he didn't have a record of it. We looked at the record I had brought though and it wasn't that big of an issue. Also, Kayak's survey (this survey) should have a rating for Customer Service. So many issues are resolved just by quality customer service, and this is a service orientated business.
