Cons: I had a bad experience with Hertz. All I asked is that I got a new clean car. They gave me a car that was dirty and smelled like smoke. I had to go back to the counter that was not close with two suitcases and wait in line again. All to be given a car with stains all over seat and dirty. It also had a msg that said needs air in the tires. I got on the highway and the service light came on. They never apologized once. They never asked if there were any significant dents or scratches!!! I would not recommend using Hertz at the Ft. Walton Airport!!!

Screwed me good
Pros: Nothing at all
Cons: I booked a rental at the airport I was arriving at. I get there at 11pm go up to the rental counter and she has no record of me at all. The lady at the counter then does a system search and finds out you screwed me royally and my rental was booked at a Hertz in the same town as the airport and that location closed at 6pm. I was stranded at an airport that had no cell service an hour an a half from my destination. I ended up having to pay a taxi to drive me late at night all the way to where i was going. I lost so much money from booking a rental from Hertz, never again will I use Hertz

Pros: good car--easy to pick up
Cons: we forgot to fill it up--visiting and talking with loved ones--had a 1/4 of tank--charged 100.00 for Hertz to refill. highway robbery--why not look and ask would you like to fill this up ?

Pros: Picking the car up was easy.
Cons: The car was out of wiper fluid and a rear window trim piece fell out and hit us twice when we opened the rear hatch. It sat in the back of the car most of the week we had the car. When leaving for the airport to return the car, we had to put our luggage in and push the trim piece on and quickly slam the rear hatch to avoid it falling out again. I called the Ft Walton Beach Hertz to inform them about the trim piece falling out and all they said was, I will make a note about it. The attendant named Jeff who greeted us in the return lot, took $25 off our bill. Nice but not enough to compensate for the hassle we had all week!
