Screwed me good
Pros: Nothing at all
Cons: I booked a rental at the airport I was arriving at. I get there at 11pm go up to the rental counter and she has no record of me at all. The lady at the counter then does a system search and finds out you screwed me royally and my rental was booked at a Hertz in the same town as the airport and that location closed at 6pm. I was stranded at an airport that had no cell service an hour an a half from my destination. I ended up having to pay a taxi to drive me late at night all the way to where i was going. I lost so much money from booking a rental from Hertz, never again will I use Hertz

Great airport customer service
Pros: I thought I had reserved a car at the Destin, Fort Walton Beach airport. After the agent couldn't my reservation they discovered it was at an alternate site. Not wanting to take a cab to the other location they gave me the same rate I had on the other reservation. Thank you Hertz.
Cons: The location for the rental was not at the airport. It did not state that in the priceline listing.

Pros: The car
Cons: I booked a car a week before I left Pittsburgh at a very good price ($186. and change). Unfortunately, the day we left, Pittsburgh had a snowstorm (the first for the Pittsburgh 2016-17 winter in FEBRUARY). Our plane was 1.5 hours delayed due to Pittsburgh deicing the plane.
In the meantime unknown to me (because I am either sitting on the plane as it deices or in flight) Hertz called my home wondering where I was. My daughter told Alisha (Hertz sales associate) we were delayed BUT were on our way. My daughter told Hertz we had no way to communicate due to being in the air and having our phones on airplane mode as directed by the airlines BUT we were on our way!
Once I was off the plane, I received a txt from my daughter letting me know to pick up the car by 6 before closing.
We arrived at 5 (4 hours late) expecting our car.
We were told by Alisha the car was rented and that we now would have to pay $100.00+ extra for a car.
It was truly like a Seinfeld episode!
We asked to speak to the manager, which we did by phone. He was not willing to honor the contract until we asked to speak to his boss.
At that point, he agreed.
It will be a long time before we book with Hertz again. That Destin, FL franchise was not willing to work with us at all and it felt more like a bait and switch.
There are many good car rental companies that are around the Destin area. It is sad that Hertz's integrity and reputation was tarnished by one poorly run AND UNFRIENDLY franchise.

Pros: Car was ready for pickup
Cons: Customer service and intimacy clearly needed improvement. No attempt to engage with the customer or extend any friendliness or greeting. This was the same behavior with the same person at both pick up and drop off.
I would not rent from here again. I will use a competitor instead.

Horrible Customer Service!
Cons: They will charge you an extra $13.00/ day for your spouse to be added as a driver. When I canceled my reservation, they tried to charge me 100 dollars for canceling before my reservation. What a scam.

Fort Walton Beach
Pros: Cheyenne was very friendly and helpful at pickup and dropoff. The car was clean. Rental was good value for time frame and cheaper than renting from the airport. Even with having to take taxi or uber to/from the airport, cheaper option than renting at the airport.
Cons: The brakes in this car. When you went to apply the brakes, it was not smooth as in other vehicles, and took couple times to get used to Have Hyundai Sonata, so I did not expect this vehicle which was a different model Hyundai to have such a different pressure when applying the brakes.
Did not have back up camera which would have been useful since used to that.
Did not realize the rental was not at the airport. Had to take taxi from rental back to airport, since received errors for UBER. Took Uber from airport to rental location.

MAJOR RIP OFF
Cons: My flight was delayed by 2 hrs; I went to pick up the car and the facility was closed- it was around 2pm on Saturday afternoon.
I had a very difficult time trying to resolve the issue. The reservation should have listed the hours of service particularly as this area is a resort area.
Later (4:25 pm on 6/10/17) I was able to speak with someone named 'Gan' who said the reservation was cancelled. Returned from vacation yesterday to find that I was charged for the reservation.

Pros: Cheyenne was very sweet and professional. Very happy with the car rental.
Pros: The reasonI rated POOR is when I arrived at the airport, I went to the Enterprise counter an found out that there was no reservation. My reservation was at someplace separate from the airport. To get to the place would have involved a taxi ride and extra time I did not have. Kyak should clearly state that their rental is an "in town" rental. There was another person at the counter at the same time who also fell into the same trap. Both of us ended up renting our cars from the airport counter.

Cons: The only economy car they had was a smart car, NO space for anything! But! $12.00 for gas for 7 days. Make sure they have something other than a smart car.... you don't want it.

Enterprise was fine but the rental location was not at the airport
Pros: Once I was able to get an Uber to get to the rental location the rental process was quick and easy. The car was clean and ready. The seats in this car were pretty stained. Since the rental was in a touristy beach location, I'm thinking the stains were from repeated contact with wet swimwear. Not a big deal to me, but I was fearful I would be held accountable for the stained seats.
Cons: I failed to notice the rental location was not at the airport although Enterprise did have a location at the Destin airport. So, I arrive and go to the Enterprise counter. The clerk politely points out that my rental is at an off-airport location. I ask about a shuttle, and she says there is none because they have a location at the airport (the one I was currently at). I ask about the cars at the airport, and she tells me she cannot come close to my rental rate as all they have left are SUVs. She suggests I take a cab or Uber to the other location. The cab driver at the airport wanted $35. Uber was $19 ($23 with a tip). Once I got to the other location about eight miles away the rental was smooth. The clerk at that location commented on my rental low price. She also let me leave the car at the airport upon return although it cost me another $25. So, I got a really low price but it cost me just under $50 and some time to get the car at a location distant from the airport. Watching where I rent next time!
Cons: The minivan was booked online and the agreed price was $1201.48 USD with separate insurance paid yet my credit card has been charged $2704.69AUD which converts to approximately $2032.38USD. Now another charge of $434.73AUD from AVIS in Virginia has been charged to my credit card.
I would also like to point out that when I picked up the minivan on Jan 11 2017, I waited almost 2 hours to finally get into the vehicle. My credit card was scanned about three times by the clerk who can only be described as incompetent and clueless about the operations.. She appeared to have no idea how to access the booking and we had to go to the vehicle to check if it had a GPS installed. While there, the couple she had served prior to us were complaining that their car had not been cleaned. Then we noticed that ours hadn't been cleaned either!
To add insult to injury, she told us that our vehicle could not be released to us because it hadn't been given a check prior to it arriving at the Mary Esther office. "Probably only needs an oil change", she told us. We couldn't believe what we were hearing, so she made a call and then had to wait for someone to call her back and only then was it released.
We left in an unchecked and uncleaned vehicle and then the final blow, we have been seriously OVERCHARGED.
