The location is great. Very easy to arrive. It has enough parking spaces. Great WiFi. Rooms are spacious. Nice staff. It's dated but I don't Care.
Location was close to West Point and the employees who checked us in were very friendly. The price was reasonable, however, some easy fixes could make the stay more pleasant. We did not care for the beds. Our shoulders hurt the following day. Shower curtain did not keep water in the tub, so each time we showered there was water all over the bathroom floor.
I thought it was a great value and the room was big and the bedding was comfortable. Nobody cleaned my room on my first night. I don't know if that was normal but it seemed odd.
Proximity to West Point Heating pipes creaked at night. The "continental breakfast" is some plastic-wrapped Otis Spunkmeyer muffins and self-serve coffee and juice, without any tables. The carpet in the rooms was a bit gross. The bathroom fan was loud. It was expensive for what it is ($200+/night).
The location and scenery even though I was only staying because of a lst minute change to my schedule
THE BED!!!! How the room was poorly designed - door wise/stopper and the tub and it's water
Location and price Small room, no fridge, lot of noise.
There were TWO ESPN 2 channels and no ESPN channel. I missed second half of a game I really wanted to watch and the front desk gave me a completely wrong channel when I asked. Also, provide a CURRENT TV channel lineup in your in room book. This completely ruined what may have been a perfectly good stay. Can't read this. I suggest you use larger font.
I was attending a wedding and needed a hotel to stay. I arrived and found it to have a great view of a lake, right in front of the hotel. Upon entering the hotel, it looks new and modern, our rooms were well kept, large and beds were comfortable. I would definitely stay and recommend to others. Extended stay was only until 12PM. I was attending a wedding and got back to the hotel at 5AM, hard to get only a few hours of sleep to drive back, I was hoping for an hour more of sleep :D
Nice staff. Prompt shuttle service from airport.
The people were so friendly and engaging. I felt safe as a lone traveler. Would be healthier if they had yogurt and/or eggs for protein for Breakfast. Ran out of energy early.
The best part of the stay was the help. Dwight & Kadeem at the front desk went out of their way to make our stay great!! The breakfast was mediocre; we went to the diner down the road. Also rooms are only for sleeping extremely small.
The overall hotel and staff exceeded my expectations. A good location for a night or two stay. Also the breakfast was actually quite good. The bed, it was not comfortable and sunk down to much.
Nice place to stay for the night. I'd stay here again if I am taking the train to the city. A bit pricey, but nice.
Location to West Point! Great diner just below hotel. Nice staff. Room had everything we needed. Room was on second floor with window view behind hotel. Heard some road noise from I-87 but not a big deal. (The train noise at the Thayer is much worse.) Slept great. Its not a luxury hotel -- but you're not paying luxury prices either.
close to woodbury outlets service,,cold room, low lights in the room
Not located in walking distance from Outlet Center as promissed on internet! Very dirty and old. Even if it was a non smoker room, the smell of smoke was immense!
Very good location to go shopping in Woodbury Outlet. Otherwise, don't stay there. The satff is very confused, they've charged me a day that I canceled, but they called to booking.com and I fixed it.
The room was really nice as well as the staff.
perfect location for shopping at Woodbury premium outlet not as clean as I expect
dirty, bad service, expensive, the price not match the quality yes
It is fairly reasonable compared to other motels in the area and was located close enough to West Point for easy access.
Its proximity to the Premium Outlets at Woodsbury Commons. The poor condition of the furniture & fittings. Only coffee provided in the morning - no hot water available to make our own use.
Close proximity to Woodbury Commons Factory outlet
Convient to shopping which was why we were there. Some of the staff were not very helpfull and begruged us any extra stuff ie towels and shampoo
location room style
Great location if you want to see West Point. Interesting building. Very helpful and friendly staff. Superb mattresses Service slow in the restaurant - but politely slow
Location and comfort. Services and convenience. I have stayed here before and love it. NO - except walking up from the parking lot.
The staff was outstanding. Every interaction with a staff member was positive. Somewhat expensive.
West Point. Nice campus They had not received word ofmy reservation. fortunatelytherewasa roomfor meand my wife. Wearrived around 9:30 pm. Veryannoying.
The hotel was absolutely beautiful! A lovely, romantic setting, with a huge, comfortable room. Nothing.
Everything.. The staff was especially Larry, the Maintenance Man. He was very helpful in getting heat in our room and just generally a great guy. We especially enjoyed the restaurant, its staff, and the band on Thursday. What a nice surprise. Nothing, it was all great.
The room is so big!
Very rustic and comfortable. Rooms were very nice and spacious. Restaurant was closed while we were there.
Very quiet and peaceful at night no matter how active the park is during the day. A nice contrast. Rooms are immaculate and very comfortable at the Inn.
Really enjoyed it. Very clean, comfortable bed. I would stay again
Customer service was great - comped us on beer, very friendly, very helpful (everyone) Fresh cute lobby decor Great bed and bedding, lots of space in room (typical of Starwood hotels) Nothing!
Hotel staff was extremely helpful and accommodating, Monique in particular. Rooms are spacious and in relatively good condition. The general aesthetic was nice and seemed well maintained. Breakfast served daily was nice though the juices are too diluted. The rear of the hotel is alongside a freeway so rooms on the back side of the building come standard with the constant drone of freeway traffic, make sure to request a room in the front of the building. Bathrooms need maintenance and repairs... I wound up staying here several nights and thus stayed in 2 different rooms, both showers were in need of work but the first was pretty bad. The first room had a shower with previous damage filled in with what looked like bondo and then there was a hole in the top of the tub. The diverter did not seal properly so when trying to use the shower there was virtually no water pressure as water continued coming out of the tub spigot instead of just the shower head.
They were terrible people, only guy I liked worked the over night, owner was rude; hated the experience
We had made a mistake with our online reservation and the hotel manager helped us to resolve it. The TV needs to be mounted a little higher on the wall
Hallway smelled really bad
The price was good, the staff was friendly and attentive. It's very old and not too appealing. They are going through construction too, so it may look better once that is completed. When we were there the second day we lost cable connection. Not a huge deal, but kind of stinks. We also had an old fashion TV, don't expect any upgrades or updates with this date hotel.
Very poor condition. Door hardware loose and in disrepair. Heavy smell of cleaning chemicals. Very worn ot building.
A bit rundown
Decent room and wifi Staff guy was very rude and then waved at my girlfriend with extremely offensive comment to me after I booked my room with credit card he waited to wave at my girlfriend after we parked never will I go back or suggest anyone to go back for that reason
Close to the north way Musty and dated
The continental breakfast was OK. However, could have had blueberries and bananas to put on the waffles. Clerks never smiled. They appeared to not like their job. They just went through the motions. Bathroom was not cleaned well. Long hair and cheetos on floor. Soap scum on counter top. Tub drain clogged. Bathroom sink drain slow.
Good location Good price Room service didn't bang on my door at 6am. Wifi in the part of the hotel I was in was pretty much no functional. Patio door on the ground floor had seen some better days. Room was clean. No sign of bedbugs or roaches, but did spot a house centipede near the above mentioned patio door.
It was disgusting.
Corporate must repair this property. Each staff member was wonderful, welcoming and very helpful.
When visiting West Point, one would be hard pressed to find a more convenient location in this price range. The 'green' plumbing is hopelessly inadequate. A luke warm shower at 10:00am and a minimum requirement of three flushes per basic toilet use is ridiculous. Housekeeping never serviced the room on Thanksgiving.
Comfortable, spacious room in a convenient location.
We wanted to be in close proximity to West Point, and this hotel definitely was. We had an issue with the heater in our room and we were upgraded to a suite for the inconvenience. Breakfast is pretty good. It would have been great if our heater wasn't so noisy/malfunctioning in the first place, but the staff made the problem right.
The location is perfect for any West Point parent visiting a cadet. This is the second time out of three visits that my morning shower has been one step shy of frigid. This time, I showered at 2:00AM due to a 6:00AM flight out of Laguardia. The manager could hardly claim that was due to peak-time usage.
wonderful staff, especially at the front desk. thin walls...noisy people in room next to us
Size if the room No bar, no restaurant, no area to spend time with family
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
Very close to Bear Mtn state park. Nice standard hotel for a night stay. Clean rooms, clean bathroom. Free continental breakfast in morning. TV image was clean, crisp. Other guests in hotel room next to our room was a little noisy. But that is not hotel's fault, and other guests were not noisy enough to complain. Otherwise, nothing else to note.
Location, breakfast, staff support.
It was conveniently located where we wanted to visit. This was a Holiday Inn Express priced with Days Inn quality. Room needs renovation (not just bathroom and furniture). Defective shower had no hot water, but staff let us use the shower in the next room in the morning. IMO, the stay should've been free.
clean , nice breakfast, mini fridge and microwave, indoor pool, attentive staff
The facility was quiet, affordable and clean The television in the room was way too small
price & location TV connection didn't work, no WiFi, outdated rooms, over-charged above booking.com price
I liked that theres a pool out side it was good for the kids and breakfast.potential offer of the sausage or bacon with your eggs Not enough chairs around the pool this should be a microwave in the room so you don't have to go back and forth the lobby
Number: Message: We are at the Hudson Valley Hotel which we booked thru u for 2 nights. Last night they had a wedding here and the music and vibrations lasted till midnight if the hotel new this why put us in room (107) which was directly across on the ground level where our room was. I just went to front desk to complain and she said what did u want us to do it was an $8000 wedding, I said u should have advised us and pout us in a room farther away. To add insult to injury we got up 1 hour earlier because the clock was wrong, the hair dryer was broken no TV channel guilders pen paper this is a No Frills hotel. When I asked what they could do to take something off the bill she said that's what u get for booking thru Expedia. I am thinking of never using u again if this is what happens not booking directly
not much everything. it is a very nasty place and we will never return
rooms where nice... staff especial Bar tender was really nice food okay and breakfast nothing special
My room was a complete dump. Ripped wallpaper, bathroom towel rack broken, Chrome kleenex holder fell off the wall when I touched it. My friend said his room was completely different, and was nice.
Got a band aide from the front desk Dirty, can't explain the feeling of pulling down bedding and having who knows what on the sheets. ..thankful my wife looked, very bad smell to room. Had to change rooms after getting in late and carrying up luggage 2 flight of stairs. ..should had just slept in car
Great rate for a clean room No frills
Good for a brief stay - just your basic drive in motel. Nothing outstanding, but no real shortcomings either. Sort of a weird floor plan (lots of short stair cases), but is only a problem if you have mobility issues.
You can't beat the location. The staff is always very accommodating and the rooms are always clean, but the beds and pillows are not particularly comfortable. But for the price, you make some allowances.
Nothing The service I booked a room for three days on my second day they cut the phone off I couldn't make local calls. The service was garbage I give them a rating of zero
No elevator and security doors work intermittently.
Close to NYS Thruway Lots of steps
Cleanliness, helpfulness and very nice staff, our room was very comfortable, loved the indoor pool and hot tub, close to the parkway and Newburgh airport, location is great not far from restaurants, fast food and gas stations. The price was JUST RIGHT! I didn't like how the food area was only open during certain times.
The hotel is build over the highway and there is a train that runs nearby every 20min, (apparently the train also blows the horn 1-3 times with every drive). While highway traffic is periodic, the train ran all day / until late at night, we could hear it every time.
nice location and view of the Hudson river very dated
Easy in and out Very clean rooms! Conveniently located.
View Very near loud highway and railroad station where trains blast their whistles. Bathroom door wouldn't close. Tub/shower had steep slope. Peeling paint. Very squishy mattresses.
