How much is a Tesla car rental in Kahului?

Being driven in a personal vehicle to pickup my rental was extremely confusing while trying to find your location. Once there, Alamo staff from registration through pickup and return were so pleasant and helpful. Will definitely use Alamo again. Mahalo

Pros:

The pick up and drop off were both quick and very easy. The car was nicer than expected and the cost was excellent.

Maybe not sell off cars next time they are sitting around waiting for a pandemic to end. Also maybe not gouge those of us who had to use our airline tickets before they expire and we all show up to Hawaii at once. I guess I’m glad I paid double instead of triple the price, or at least we had a car. Thanks for having a few left. The trip was great. The car was great. The price was not. I hope my donation goes to getting some more cars so I don’t have to worry about it next time. I’d have done the exact same thing if I was in your shoes.

Staff was friendly and pickup and drop off was also fast and easy.

Cons:

We were told we got the last full size car which would have been a huge problem since we had 4 people and lots of luggage. So thankful they didn’t try to give us a smaller car.

Pros:

Staff was exceptional. I was assisted checking in at a kiosk and probably did it in less than five minutes. At the drop off, I was done in about the same time. I should have taken longer because I left my prescription glasses in the car. But they found them and contacted me before id even had time to file a claim.

Cons:

I dislike the USB connection in the car (I know: a manufacturer’s problem). The unit never communicated adequately with my iPhone, wouldn’t display my map, and insisted on playing my music in alphabetical order, starting over each time I started the car.

Not sure I got the best deal. I rented through Kayak and was quoted a price. My CC got compromised shortly after ordering my car through Kayak. When I went to pickup my car at Sixt the agent wanted my CC used to rent the car. I asked why it was already paid. I told him what happened the the CC. He said he would have to cancel the prior reservation, and start over. When all said and done I feel the car cost was more than the orignal reservation. Did not want to hassle with it as long as I got refunded my orignal purchase. Six days later the refund posted. The guy at the counter was nice but the whole process did not make since given the car had already been paid and appoved. Any additional expenses should have been applied to the new CC. When checking out the rental no one walked through the car inspection. No way to document any damage observed prior to driving off. Also no option to pay for fuel in advance or at least it was never explained. Most agencies tell you the cost of fuel at the rental car and give you the option to pay in advance. Checking the car in the lady was friendly and inspected the car thoroughly same thing should be done initialy ensuring the leasee understands the features of the car. I had one experience where I failed to shut the drivers door completely and when I tried to to put the car in reverse it locked up and would go saying parking assist engaged. Spent 20 minutes playing with the car until i realized that the car would not engage because the door had not completely closed. I would rent from them again.

I was hesitant at first as I always rent from the older brands eg budgets / hertz however sixty’s price is good . Overall the experience is the same as the other old brands I recommend this place . Mahalo

Being required to buy extra insurance at the airport check-in kiosk before I could pick up the car was a real downer, and a bad way to start a vacation. Technically not "required", but being told that without it they would take the car out of service and charge me an unspecified daily "loss of use" fee while they corrected anything they determined was a defect (such as a car park door ding or a windshield chip) comes to the same thing.

I received an email from Sixt when I landed stating I could get a free upgrade to an SUV. At the registration desk, they upgraded me. Then they surprised me with $109 in additional charges to my invoice. Plus, the vehicle had a lot of damage on it.

There was no line at the rental desk and my car was already by the booth so I was able to check in and get in the car within 5 minutes! The lady who helped us with our booking was also incredibly nice and gave us some food recommendations.

The car’s dashboard system said an oil change was needed when I started the car, but the staff said that Hertz has a different idea of how frequently the oil needs to be changed than Nissan does, so we drove for 10 days in a car that needed an oil change. It felt a little unsettling, but nothing bad seemed to happen. As an after thought, I would have taken a pic of the dashboard in case something had happened and Hertz tried to pin it on our usage.
