bad, booked 48hrs in advance pickup at 790 southwest marine dr. was set for noon on saturday, ...they were closed and close at noon on saturday..?? called at 11:45 AM on my way there and no one answered so called customer service when I arrived at the closed location, was told that they had no more cars available there anyway...?? was told that i should go to the airport and and book again for 50$ more..?? LOL was told that's the way it works nothing can be done for me even though they obviously messed up... needed a car so went to the other location and there they are refusing payment and can't process my card for whatever reason... don't ever use this service or it's products, just go to TURO it seems as to not deal with any of that BS. Cons:

I had requested a compact car, a mini van was given. High cost of fuel, though spaceous and comfortable car.

Pros:

The staff member Dimple Goyal at 790 SW Marine Dr, Vancouver, was very helpful and able to help us extend our rental arrangements, which continued for a few months.

Cons:

It is difficult to contact the 790 SW Marine Dr office by phone, which seems to have a bad connection.

The staff were very friendly and helpful

Cons:

Insurance... I could not purchase through Kayak using a non-Canadian credit card, but only found out I was not covered during the rental period. This is important, and Kayak should be upfront to make sure whether or not the insurance was valid or not, even if it was done through Allianz.

It was great! We only needed a rental for one day while our own car was in the shop. Picking up the rental was efficient and there were no hidden fees or pressure to upgrade. I paid what I expected. Returning the car was easy and fast. Representatives were friendly and knowledgeable. Would rent here again.

Toyota Corolla is a really nice car to drive, it has added safety when it comes with radar to check blind spots on sides mirrors and slip lines (crossing lanes) warning. I like this feature so much! The car was so dirty when picking up, The Hertz franchise "Dollar", their staff at SW Marine drive did not well prepared the car to the next customer.

Booked through third party site for more expensive price than previous summer but pickup and after hours drop off were easy. Car was in good condition, very comfortable. Served our family well for our last six weeks in Vancouver.

We waited over 2.5 hours to receive our rental. Management provided wait times that were not accurate: first we were told one hour, then 1.5 hours, the 2 hours ect. It was finally 2 hours 45 mins later that we received the rental. We were also told that they were extremely understaffed and dealing with operational problems. We have two young kids under the age of 5 so you can imagine how upsetting this was not to mention how it created an unpleasant start to our vacation. To pay a premium for a rental, I expect better service and lower wait times.
