Pros: The car was very nice - clean, newer and worked well. Drop off was easy.
Cons: 1. When we picked up the car, the driver had to be the name of the person who made the reservation. I had intended for my husband to be the driver, but since I had used my own name for the reservation, I had to be the driver, which I was not comfortable with. We have never before had this experience and we have rented many cars in the past. We were told the only way to change the driver is to cancel the reservation and start all over again with a new reservation. As we had arrived at 9pm and it was getting late and we had had a tiring long day, we did not want to start all over. 2. Another thing we found annoying was that there were $103 of additional taxes and fees we had to pay upon pick-up that we were not advised of when we made the reservation. When I reserved the car on line, it was because Hertz seemed to have the lowest price. With the additional $103 that we ended up having to pay, it was probably the most expensive of all of the companies. And this was not for additional insurance or anything like that. It was taxes and fees slapped on. The attendant said it had been in the small print. Again, we have never before had this experience with a rental car. Usually, the price you see in the large print is the price you pay and no more. Because of this, we would not rent from Hertz again.

Pros: I liked that they had the vehicle we needed available. The vehicle was clean. The pick up went well.
Cons: They said using my insurance was ok. Didn't explain that they would refuse it if something happened. We had a small chip in th corner from a rock that was thrown from a pick up in front of us. We filed a claim. When we returned the car she wouldn't talk to us about it just kept repeating no third parties no third parties handed me a bill for$250 and wouldn't explain anything. Refused. Horrible customer service and we will not be using hertz again.

Cons: I made a reservation for 10am and was told by the clerk that the card would not be available for "several hours", while we did get a call about 1.5 hours later to come pick up the rental, I was extemely disapointed that making a reservation apparently means nothing. I also wasn't told that the location would be closed when we came to return the car at 6pm and had not been given any instructions on how to return. Luckily the hotel staff were able to point me in the right direction.

Stole $340 from me.
Cons: I had authorized $57 to be paid at time of pickup. After returning the car, Hertz charged $395 to my credit card for "detailing". Disputing.
