location was excellent. comp. breakfast and managers "happy hour" was awesome.the staff was wonderful and extremely helpful.
I was upgraded to a suite and was happy to see how nice it was. Great kitchen layout and living space. Restaurant was way too busy to try. Nicely quiet at night.
Great staff Third world quality Wi-Fi in the bedroom
Very close proximity to attractions such as Notre Dame Basilica and Habitat 67.
Large suite was almost as big as an apartment. Great breakfast Small shower may be a problem for larger people.
Thank you Kayak for making a stay here affordable! We loved the location and the room (though a little dated) was huge, comfortable and very clean! They gave us 2 complimentary drinks and breakfast was included. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Joey at check in, never would have guessed he was new. Bernard our wait staff at supper-never would have guessed he was called in and was swamped because he took great care of us. And our omelette creator was amazing. Hilton all of your hotels can use Montréal Embassy Suites as their example.
Great room with all amenities we could have wished for. Very comfortable and good value considering location, and that breakfast and 'happy hour' drinks were included.
Excellent customer service
The overall quality from Hotel, it was fantastic. Thanks, we really enjoyed our stay, even it was business. Just would like to see breakfast start a little earlier, there were several people waiting.
So convenient to metro and walking for sightseeing. Great breakfast! Staff was amazing- concierge was extremely helpful with directions! Highly recommend this hotel to others. Bathroom shower head could not be secured in holder.
Size of the rooms and hot breakfest
We literally had a complete one bedroom apartment with fully equipped kitchen, dining room and living room. Bathroom was recently refurbished with an excellent shower. The breakfast which was included was far superior to any hotel buffet I'd seen befor It happened to be quite a hot summer and the one air conditioner was located in the living room which didn't cool the bedroom where there was a ceiling fan which didn't provide much cooling.our kids actually moved their mattress into the LR in their unit
We found toilet paper in the recently cleaned toilet. We didn't tell the reception, just flushed the toilet.
Location is good, walkable distance to St Catherine and China Town. No access to stroller for the main entrance, as they have stairs only. We are 4 adults+2kids for a 2 bedrooms suite, they have to charge me $30extra per day for the addictional 2 adults. Also the parking costs $20 a day.
The room was WAY cooler than I was expecting! Also the guy at the desk that checked us in and out was really helpful (and pretty cute) Couldn't find the exercise machines (the card said top floor - there was only a pool and sauna), kinda sad I didn't get the chance to check it out. Also re: breakfast, option for hot cooked food would have made the experience perfect.
Location is great. Kitchenette was fully appointed--pots, pans, mixing bowls, wine opener, dish towels, etc. Pool. Sauna. Balcony. All great. The walls are a bit thin but our neighbors were thankfully quiet.
Location No hot tub at pool.
Enjoyed being on Sherbrooke Street, close to art galleries and an easy walk downtown. The breakfast room needed extra staff to clean tabletops. The flow in that room is annoying- cramped where you pick up food, and it feels like everyone walks over you as you get the day started. This coud be remedied.
Location in central Montreal, close to all amenities
Close to everything. Within walking distance of all the sights we chose to see.
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
Room was spacious, clean and well maintained. Breakfast was not exotic but saved time and money. There are only 2 small elevators servicing the building and the wait was a bit of a drag,
Location and staff. Was a little too warm overall in the hotel, but the air conditioner in the room worked fine.
Key card didn't work, had to return to desk. Parking garage was under construction with no signs on where to park. Attendant made me move the car 3 times. Front desk failed to mention the parking problems I might encounter. At early checkout the clerk looked up from reading a paper, then resumed reading instead of serving me Tiny bathroom, small room
It was modern, sleek, clean, and comfortable. Can speak French or English. Our King room had a sofa bed and fridge and LOTS of room to move around. Very spacious. Only a small window with no view, but the size of the room made up for it. Comfortable bed, but on the soft side. Had a small gym with TV although a few of the settings on the elliptical and bike didn't work for me. Centrally located between Mont Royal parc and Vieux Montreal where we wanted to walk to. Nothing special about the neighborhood, but it felt safe. Parking options were across the street in a separate uncovered lot or down the street in a covered garage. We chose across the street and it was fine although we had to load out in the rain and there is no cover for the cars, just street parking in front of the hotel. For the price in a big city, we found it more than adequate for the money. The resto lounge one the 2nd floor wasn't complete yet, so some of the offerings listed actually didn't exist yet.
Awesome location, good sized room (king), powerful AC, quiet & comfortable. I arrived by motorcycle and the guy at front desk just stared at me like I was an alien. I asked about motorcycle parking and he told me to park in a lot around the corner, but I found out there's free street parking for motorcycles. And just being picky, the shampoo/moisturizer bottles were all opened by prior guest(s).
Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. It is a good Central locarion close to many shops and bars. Hotel has no parking. We had to park in a lot accross the street.
The location was great. No matter which directiin you went you were close to something of interest. Sraff was excellent and the room was ckean and neat with lots of room to put things,
The location was great and there was inexpensive parking nearby. We had a couple of problems with our room and, while the staff was helpful, they didn't seem too concerned about any of it and didn't take any extra steps to make sure we were statisfied.
Location Small fridge Dirty floor. Not clean when we got there, and not cleaned for 3 days Lacks dressers Bad tv quality
clean, location was great as it was right off of Saint Catherine there was an excessive amount of loud banging from construction or something (that we were not advised of). particularly early morning too!
For the price we paid we felt that it was too high because there was no breakfast included That there was no continental breakfast. There was only one functioning elevator which made the trips up & down too long
I liked The most the toilet and bathroom And the comfort of beding The Value was over priced
Amazing experience. Facilities were first class, and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Only wish there was an on site spa. However the concierge arranged am appointment for me at a nearby spa.
The staff were amazing and very knowledgeable of the area. For the price, it was not worth it. Our bath broke twice (we couldn't turn off the jets), our mini bar fridge was next to impossible to open because it was on a broken shelf, and we could hear construction/reversing trucks starting early in the morning outside our window. I'm sure there are some better suites in the place, but honestly for over $200 a night after taxes, the value for the money is not there.
Location and service Being charged 40 dollars for parking.
Not enough good things can be said about this hotel. It is beautiful, clean and the rooms spacious. We had a luxury King and the bathroom was the size of the bedroom. The staff was excellent. The concierge secured us a dinner reservation at a place that was booked solid. You also can't beat the location. Right by shopping, restaurants and Bell Centre. There was a wedding reception going past midnight. Our parking was comped because of the noise which was a floor below us. That was a nice gesture.
Helpful and friendly staff, comfortable and well appointed accomodations, great location. We rented bikes during our stay, and staff helped us store them. Also helped make restaurant reservations, print airline boarding passes, and anything else we needed.
They were very helpful and they took really good care of us and the restaurant was great!
The canadian breakfast is excellent, the location in the old town The rooms are really dark, the room was cleaned poorly
we enjoyed the welcome wine and cheese, the morning breakfast, the terrace and watching the fireworks, the beautiful suite, the chocolates, the car parking service, the fine soaps, shampoos, etc, the music playing int he room when we arrived, the disco music in th evening in 701 the room numbering was a bit strange, we had to walk through what looked to be a service corridor to get to the elevator to our room...I think that we should have been asked whether or not we wanted a staff member to enter our room in our absence to turn down the bed.one of the internets was out of service
We were greeted very warmly by counter staff and was checked in quickly and efficiently. Valet parking was also taken care of quickly upon check-in and check-out. The complimentary welcome drinks were a nice touch.
very attentive staff especially at the reception desk.bar/resturant very lively with excellent food and drinks.
Great location and staff was friendly and attentive to our requests. The "perks" of staying at the hotel has diminished since we were last there - which was about a year ago. There were complimentary drinks and light snacks for our entire stay last time. Just one complimentary drink this time.
Excellent location in the old town of Montreal, able to walk everywhere.Large , comfortable room, good complimentary breakfast and cheese and wine offered in the evening. Would most certainly recommend this hotel. Staff were very helpful. Room was a little dark, lights were needed at all times.
The room is very comfortable. Staffs are very friendly. The breakfast is so so.
Lovely building and room. Food and music was great. Hard to find the location. Was put on hold several times when calling on cell phone to find hotel.
This hotel was one of the loveliest travel experiences I've ever had, and I've been all around the world. The hotel is gorgeous - the restaurants, spa, and especially bedroom were first class. The staff was beyond friendly, and helped with everything from booking reservations at restaurants, to scheduling hair appointments, to taking my sister to the emergency room when she got sick. Five stars
Attended to our questions quickly. Called down for room service menu's that were missing from our room, unfortunately,we never received them.
The hotel had a gorgeous decor and felt sumptuous There was no wi-fi!
This hotel is classic and elegant. The staff are all personable, experienced and thorough and can answer any and all questions about the area. The room was breathtaking and meticulously clean and comfortable - a slice of heaven. The marble bathroom is flawless and I wanted to ship the bed home. I will return to this hotel every time I come to Montreal. It reminded me of a hotel I stayed at on the Grand Canal in Venice - absolute perfection!
Staff was exceptional and went out of their way to ensure a seem less guest experience. Accommodations were beautiful, well-appointed and thoughtful not to mention entirely unique in each guestroom. Spa was only open by appointment so no fitness or spa services were experienced. The hitel restaurant was good but not great although it was impeccably styled and the wait staff were wonderful. Menu could use more options
Friendly and attentive staff, convenient location and very comfortable room made this a perfect introduction to our visit to Montreal.
Attentive service, lovely common areas, charming rooms, loved the library, had drinks in the library no
The service & hospitality provided by the staff plus the hotel's excellent location. N/A
People where amazing to work with and helpful Facial was ok at best and overpriced
We loved the location, close to so many things, but not in the midst of "downtown Vieux Montreal". Staff was great, very friendly. Concierges, while helpful, did not seem to know the best restaurants to recommend.
I liked very much the quietness of the place. I enjoyed the comfort of the room and appreciated the attentiveness of the personal.
The rooms were spacious and bed was comfortable with clean fresh sheets They were very skimpy on providing towels. One large towel each. Paper cups were provided for coffee. Flimsy plastic cups for drinking.
New hotel therefore everything brand new. Good size bedroom. Comfortable beds. Excellent walk-in shower. Helpful concerge. Good location. A ridiculous lift arrangement whereby you required your room card to be swiped and then button pressed all in a flash. And it was not explained to you at checkin. Long queues at breakfast which was very average in quality but expensive. At the buffet the majority of the hot dishes were lukewarm. Very claustrophobic - no outdoor areas at all.
The location of the hotel cannot be beat. Right in the centre of Old Montreal and close to all the major shopping and restaurants.
Loved it all. Restaurant was excellent. Staff waited on us completely. Enjoyed the glass bottom pool Can't think of anything.
Close to transport and city centre
Good location, close to old town and shopping area. New hotel, everything is new and clean. Nice and helpful staff at the reception desk and restaurant. The rooms cleaning service can be improved.
The hotel has agreat potential (it was not fully operational at the time). It is in a great location, modern desing and amenities and qualified staff. There were few things not working, one of them the swimming pool as it was still partially under construction.
The location is good. The person who completed our check in was very rude and condescending. We were really shocked by how badly we were treated. With regards to the value for the money, you can find hotels as nice in Montreal for less. The room was very small.
Location, cleanliness, friendly staff and gr8 breakfast
The restaurant had a delicious breakfast menu. The hotel itself is located very centrally for a walking tour. We went to the port to see the ships arrive. We had easy access to the subway (which is very clean and efficient). The hotel is still having it's opening inconviences. We had a child who wanted to swim. I booked that hotel based on the description online. We had to go next door to use the pool. The washroom was not available in the restaurant.
Location was very good. Service staff was excellent. Parking was a plus.Beds were very comfortable. Convienent bar and lounge was not available, other than the affiliated restaurant. They ran out of hot water and the pool is very small.
The staff was friendly and helpful. From the moment you walk in you can tell this hotel wants to present the best they have to offer. The hotel is clean and rooms are also clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. Perfect for my needs. The gift shop wasn't open very early in the morning (8:30am) which would have been helpful.
The location is good. TV Arabic Chanels. The following were poor: heating (we were to freeze of cold weather), bathroom was very small, TV was a very old fashion set; floor was smelly; beds were cracking.
The place of stay was really comfortable and quiet, and the people at thr receptions and all the others were extremely helpful. I'm glad I was there.
The internet was for free and was pretty fast
Location near the shopping center & parking facilities Room did not reach the quality I expected (bathroom for instance). Staff very unpleasant
The hotel location is perfect within walking distance from all Montreal attractions and shopping area. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. The room was clean and spacious, however, noise from mechanical equipments, neighbors' showers and toilets, plumbing and heating pipes I guess was loud, and woke me up several times during my night sleep. Other than that, the hotel was almost perfect.
Comfortable rooms, excellent statt service and excellent fitness facilitites none
Excellent value for money no complaints at all No complaints at all
All the above. It needs more elevators. There was always a line when we were there and the elevators were almost always full.
The personnel at the reception and at the restaurant.
We went for an event at Olympic Stadium and the location could not have been better. We could leave our car at the hotel and walk. There was a band aid stuck to the counter in the bathroom when I arrived. I think it was placed there on purpose to hold the laminate counter in place (it looked like it was coming loose), but I didn't investigate further since it was gross.
The pool (but was a little dirty), and sauna Hotel staff at front desk was not smiling, not friendly.
Staff were excellent in assisting us with taking the Subway and showing us different touring locations to visit. We called three times for a shuttle from the Viau Metro Station. When we complained to the front reception the woman responded " it wasn't me that took your call ". Thanks, a simple apology would have been fine.
It was the ideal location as I had not far to go for day surgery at a hospital nearby. The food was excellent and the staff were very helpful. The tables in the dining area were well placed, not to close to others, the linen tablecloths and serviettes added class and there was a nice ambience.
Hotel Universal Montreal had a beautiful entrance. It was inviting. The staff were polite. The rooms were nicely appointed. My cousins and I enjoyed our buffet breakfast.
All aspects of the hotel were exceeding expectations Nothing
this is a middle level hotel that attracts a lot of tourist busses because of its location. it is a little overpriced. price via booking.com was too high. my bother paid $50 less for the same room the same night.
Nice room (but word is that many of the rooms have not been renovated, and that these are a disaster). Reasonable price. Inconvenient location. Unhelpful, barely competent staff. Single elevator for very large hotel means you either use the stairs always, or be prepared to add ten minutes to any trip to/from the lobby. Wifi did not work in our room—staff did not fix, apologize, or offer compensation.
the breakfast is fantastic **** the drinks were pricey ,bar was shut sunday evening
The reception desk personnel, outside pool lifeguard and our room cleaning service staff manager was the most pleasant staff to deal with. Against my better judgement, I've let our room cleaning staff manager talk me out of commenting about our reasons for our dislikes, because she promised she would take care of the areas she was in charge of. However the hotel restaurant was another bad experience service was horrible never received the water wife ask for, my tomato juice watered down and something removed from inside the glass in front of my wife's view, the food we left approximately 2/3rd, and cost approximately $50.00 Canadian we were also their amusement that were laugh at, will never go there for anything. But at the McDonald their breakfast was great under $20.00 for two. The bar area I have not dealt with so, I can't say anything except if it's ran like their restaurant they need police their staff better and get in check with their prices.
Free wifi, no one bothered is, came back and room was made, air conditioned two queen size room with personal bathroom. Nothing aside from 16$ per night for parking
The cost of the parking was too high. The position of the hotel was great
The staff were very friendly, and the rooms were clean. The location was pretty convenient, too.
The room was very comfortable and quite big. There was a great TV LCD, the parquet on the floor and the king size bed was really comfortable. The room was on the back and very quiet. The location is good, at 2 minutes by foot from the metro station Berri-Uqam and 10 minutes from the old city.
it was clean and very friendly.. it was close to the VIllage...
Good location for GPdC weekend. Uqam Metro station was only a block or two away. Old Port is one kilometer away. (approx. 10 minute walk) St. Catherine's in a cross street, about a 30 minute walk to Crescent/Peel/Bishop street location. Parking is around the corner, easy in/out with pass card. Staff were pleasant & helpful. Room was a little dated, view was interior to brick walls, but when you balance location, price etc. for the weekend in question, it was all good.
The cost of the stay was very reasonable and the hotel was very clean. All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The location on St Denis was also great! The only things that was disappointing was probably the internet speed. Although there was free wifi internet, the speed was not great.
The room met our needs... Comfy pillows, large bed, 2 chairs, and warm enough given the weather. Was hoping to find a kettle on the property to make hot chocolate in my thermos but there wasn't one.
The great location in the Latin Quarter, just a few blocks from the main bus station and from Berri-UQAM station, where Metro lines intersect. Also, the fantastic value for money, and the fact that my room had a bath (shower over bath). Everything was fine. The hotel room didn't have any frills, but this wasn't expected for the price. You may be asked for money by beggars if you are out at night in the Latin Quarter.
Location - close to buses, coach station and Metro. None
Staff excelent.... Very Nice Staff , excelent localization...
Excellent helpful and courteous staff, large spacious suite with small fridge. Bed comfortable. Quiet rooms. Tub in bathroom was old with permanent scrapes - should be replaced. Shuttle to airport should be included with room price.
Staff very friendly and accomodating. Eric at koko and Sophie the bartender the best. King size bed reallly comfortable. within walking distance of plenty of restaurants. The lighting in the room could be better. too dark
decor, location, staff
Please write at least 15 words
Generally, I was pleased with my stay,Opus is an attractive hotel, well located, and pet friendly - my biggest concern. Staff was very friendly and helpful. decor needs refreshing, carpet needs replacement
Clean, modern, in a great location (within walking distance to most places), and had a great staff. Did not include breakfast or parking. We walked 10 minutes for parking ($15 a night vs $28 at hotel)
The bed was comfortable, the spa tub was wonderful, there was a free driving service, and the staff was friendly The restaurant was not open 7 days a week
Clean, good staff, comfortable rooms Weekend party location, euro-style shower
Business , shopping, social
The bed was really comfortable. We didn't like the location of the bedroom, we were close from the Koko nightclub, the bar of the hotel, and there was loud music until 3 am, our room vibrated! I called the front desk and they ask me that the music stop at 3 am! Moreover we didn't like the brightness in the bedroom, curtains were not opaque and it was very clearly in the bedroom early in the morning.
good location, nice modern rooms 2 burnt out light bulbs, hallway flood, tv remote broken on arrival, rate on the bill was incorrect for 2 of the 3 nights we stayed there
Cool modern decor, huge room size, excellent front desk staff and valet car service, bedding was super comfy! Street noise, unreliable hot water!
Beautiful. Central old Montreal. Most plush comfy bed. Huge bathtub for 2.
Staff so wonderful, room was beautiful, old charm with modern facilities Absolutely loved it. Will be back for sure!
Architecture of the hote
Proximity to my work.
spacious rooms, neat and tidy, clean, and well furnished. spacious and well designed bathroom. minibar was empty. room service menu could use a few adjustments.
I do not like it at all due to this person.
I liked the location of your hotel. It was well maintained and the staffs were very friendly. It is definitely a four star hotel with class. Yes, the prices for alcohol at the bar were extremely high. I am a firm believer that food and drinks should never be extremely high because it could ruin one's experience even though everything else was perfect. I realized it may have been a disincentive for people to stay at the bar drinking. However, it might be better to have a limitation rule for heavy drinkers. As such, the bartender would have the right according to the hotel policy to stop serving alcohol to someone after five drinks. That way a fair alcohol pricing for your drinks can be achieved.
The staff was really service oriented
The room was gorgeous!! We liked everything in it: the big bed the big shower and the modern technology. Really nice. A little bit too cloud in the hall ways!!
Very nice hotel. A bit out of the way for some people but it was perfect for me. Very clean and quiet. Good restaurant. Great staff. I would deffinatly use it again. Nothing
It was quiet and peaceful place. the location. Its kind of remote from the city
I loved the service they had, The staff were amazing, the rooms looks better then the picture online and the food is to die for. If there was one thing I would change at Novotel it would would be the hottub it was boiling hot But that was a minor thing.
Clean, near the airport, modern equipment. It is impossible to find this place coming from West on A40, because the signalisation for Alfred Nobel street disappears all of a sudden, and then it is too late....
Friendly & diverse staff. Can't complain.
very modern, clean and quiet. Close to shopping. Although it is near the airport we never heard an airplane at all.
The reception people offered an upgrade at a very reasonable price. The room was excellent and offerde extreme comfort. The wait staff wre very slow in respnding to the service needs.
The hotel location. The breakfast. The bed. Staff not very friendly. Staff cold in manner (fake smiles). Control of shower temperature difficult.
Really enjoyed our stay, friendly staff and beautiful, cozy room! The shower was amazing, with the second rain shower overhead and the fireplace was perfect for the time of year (early April- about 0 degrees Celsius) my boyfriend and I really enjoyed the complementary water and chocolate brought to our door every day. It was a sweet touch. The location was convenient. A lot of great restaurants and site seeing nearby! And the metro is less than a 5 minute walk. What we probably appreciated the most was the concierge who sat right in the lobby, ready for our questions. We had many. Wanting to know the best places to eat and visit, even making reservations for a tour and dinner reservation. she was the best! Probably the only thing we didn't like was the continental breakfast. $19 per person. Definitely not worth the price. There wasn't a lot of options and it was all cold (granted we ate at around 10am) so it sat out for a couple hours but I would have expected the food be kept in chafing dishes to stay warm for that price. so needless to say that was the only time we ate breakfast in our hotel. So many other great breakfast spots around the corner!
location in old Montreal I was charged for 5 phone calls when I only made one
It was a reasonably priced hotel (and with very reasonably priced services) in the heart of Montreal next to a Notre Dame. The location is great for one day or two day trips. Ensuite minibar and hotel restauraunt had good selection and were reasonably priced. Bathroom is great for having sex. No meat or eggs at all at the "continental breakfast", which is misleading. The view from the windows was nonexistant.
Charm of the old building, courteous staff and proximity to historic sights and good food and galleries. I would have liked to have more light available in the room.
Nice rooms, two excellent bars/restaurants in the hotel and very friendly staff Nothing worth mentioning
The Hotel Nelligan is located in Old Montreal--a beautiful location--but is is also close to a Metro station, which makes travelling around the rest of the city easy. There are excellent restaurants within walking distance. The breakfast buffet is very good.
Gorgeous place, supremely comfortable bed. Super clean room, extremely helpful staff. Street noise can be slightly loud late at night in the front facing rooms
We came to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday and enjoy some downtime before the holidays. Every detail is considered at this hotel. The staff were responsive, warm, and very accommodating. We stayed in a petite suite, loved the spa tub, rainfall shower, and plush, down king-sized bed. The Verses restaurant downstairs offers impeccable contemporary French fare, and Olive and Gourmando just down the street is perfect for fresh coffee and croissants in the morning. We will definitely stay here again.
Very accommodating. Great neighborhood. clean and nice. Terrific service. Nice restaurant and breakfast spread. Rooftop bar. Overall the staff could not have been more responsive and very accommodating. Our room was very nice. A petite suite, loved the spa tub and comfortable king-sized bed. We will definitely stay again. Staff (Melanie) needs to be careful sending clients to tourist restaurants. We specifically stated no "tourist restaurants". There are so many lesser-known restaurants that are fabulous and worth trying. We were sent to Vieux port steakhouse for sunday brunch. We had slop. We arrived sunday morning. After we saw many terrific cafes and brasserie. And please note she (Melanie) did NOT tell us about the rooftop bar or your new restaurant. Perhaps we would have gotten our sunday late morning/ early lunch there.
Clean, spacious, attractive. Staff was very nice and responsive. My room - 412 - was a corner room and the heat was not working properly. Maintenance came up and did not do anything useful. I had housekeeping bring up a space heater to keep the room warm. Without the space heater, the room was about 65 degrees. Too cold for sleeping for me. The hotel should keep the facility a little warmer overall, and not let the rooms get so cold. The HVAC system did not put out nearly enough heat.
Entire second floor stank. Dirt on the walls. Overall disgusting.
The Chinese restuarant. Staff were helpful Location - Dreadful . Rooms were dated, need refurb. A/C was so noisy it was difficult to sleep.(January 2010).b Lighting in room was poor - making it difficult to work.
Clean neat room Long walk to one tiny elevator.
I adored the clean modern rooms, that were extremely comfortable. The gym and sauna were well equipped and very well kept. I must say the Bar/lounge was stunning, and the carrot cake there, must have been the best I've ever had. I strongly recommend this hotel to everyone.
I will say it in few words. We felt welcome at the hotel
Room service was good. Breakfast downstairs was good but a bit pricy. Hotel stafff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Bathroom was a little to small.
The room size and confort. The hotel decor and amenities.
I like everything with one exception. We had to stay an extra day and the price increased from $120 to $165. Otherwise the room is spacious, parking is free and the room is very clean.
Free Internet, fitness room, free parking Location too far from centre, old and worn furnishing (standard room)
Free parking, spacious room Noisy airco
The sliding wooden screen in place of curtains makes for great sleep! There is no good food within walking distance, so if you don't have a car you are pretty much confined to the hotel restaurant, which is a bit boring.
My wife, my daughter and I are quite satisfied with the hotel which was reflected in my responses above. It's good that there is a pool (we didn't have to time to use it :) ) It's a pretty good advantage comparing to many other hotels in Montreal. I am not sure what's the difference between "anything you did not like" (that should be here) and "complain" (that shouldn't be here). The only thing we didn't like were 3 tiny dumplings called "Four Seasons" for practically 8 dollars. Maybe it's a touristic pricing - I doubt we'll order them next time. But both soups were excellent. So my warmest wishes to the hotel :) !
Absolutely everything - from the service, to the room, to the restaurant and live music. A wonderful experience! n/a
Unique architecture (we had a floor to ceiling beam in the middle of our room tastefully painted to match the decor) and the food was great. Location exceptional for exploring Old Montreal. All in all a very nice experience.
The staff was very accommodating....made reservations or changed them for us, no problem there. True: This hotel is in a very noisy location...the train is close by, not so much the whistle, but the grating of the wheels on the track, awful...really very loud. The area bistros close late, are very very loud, so not a restful place to stay. Had we known this, would not have booked it. One of the staff even admitted it was extremely noisy. Needs some refurbishing as well.
We found the staff to be pleasant and helpful. Your location is excellent. I found the low lighting difficult for applying make-up. The pillows were too 'lofty' to be comfortable.
Convenient location for walking. There was a line at the check in/out desk. ONE employee, and she was sitting the entire time. Both when i checked in and out. There is ONE elevator, which was always so packed and with a line that the only time i used it was to carry our bags up to the room. Its noisy as hell there, 3am noisy as hell. The thermostat wouldnt work. Had something written on the knob to adjust the temps, but we were sweating to death all night, and into the morning. Roll away bed was not comfortable. And all this for nearly $500 US dollars a night?
I enjoyed the feel of being in part of historic Montreal and having a convenient location to many of Montreals attractions.
We found that the bed in the room was one of the most comfortable we had ever been in.
The location of the hotel and the amenities around the old city were stupendous. It felt like Europe which sets it apart from other North American cities. A coffee machine in room would have been more than welcome.
Big comfortable bed The air was very, dry
Proximity to port
Everything about this hotel was enjoyable. They also upgraded our room with a double jacuzzi which was very nice. I wouldn't to hesitate to recommend this property -- we will definitely be returning.
Beautiful building, fantastic location, staff was terrific.
We valet parked our rental car and it was returned with a flat tire. The staff refused to help us in any way and would not even comp the relatively small service charge by our rental car company. Hardly 'boutique' service! I would never return to this hotel.
location, staff very nice and helpful , food excellent the bed was hard, most beds in the U.S. have soft fluffy mattresses.Unfortunately the parking attendent smashed my car into another car....so I am currently dealing with my insurance company and repair car shop in the U.S to get my car body damage fixed. I hope that this is a smooth transaction, your hotel manager was very nice about your accident. I will see. thanks
Location was good, room was nice
Staff at front desk was extremely helpful with directions to restaurants and highway connections. Air conditioning was very noisy.
Very helpful staff, very kind and welcoming! Nothing at all!
I liked the friendly staff, convenient location, attractive minimalist style, and large comfortable room. The giant soaking tub was a highlight. There was nothing I did not like about the hotel.
Location was great
excellent accomodations none
Wonderful staff - very helpful and pleasant Room was a bit small and not much space to sit or to work.
Our family really appreciated having two separate rooms (suite) and the use of the pool, in a convenient neighborhood. The lack of parking or even a spot to put the car while unloading; the kitchen floor was dirty and there was no vacuum or broom to clean it with; one of the televisions didn't function. Worst thing about the hotel: breakfast. Overpriced and poor quality food, which ran out while we were there at 9:00 am;Second worst thing is the ugly neighborhood.
The staff was friendly and we were very close to the metro. Our room was large but outdated. Great price for its location. Parking is a small challenge. The paid parking garage under the hotel could not accommodate our minivan. We had to park in a garage down the street. The building is old but it is a good value. Skip the in house breakfast.
Location and value, both excellent! Late check in time!
peaceful environment should include breakfast complimentary for people staying for 3 days or more
The location is well located near downtown and is near many restaurants and entertainment activities (like the Pepsi Forum across the street). The City allows free street parking on Maisonneuve except from 3:30-5:30pm M-F. Furnishings and carpeting are dated and could use refreshing.
It was great for what we paid! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Having the kitchenet was great! The hotel was very close to a subway spot. Our room was plenty big enough for us. Paying for Internet was annoying! The pool was smaller than I expected. I'm a clean freak and I think the kitchen and bathroom could use a detailed scrub down.
I lived in the area when I was a young student 20 something years ago. Staying at the Belvedere apartment hotel makes me feel like a resident rather than a visitor. Each room has everything you'll need, it's comfortable and cozy. The staff are very respectful and professional. I plan to stay there again very soon.
Reasonable price, good location. Chipped paint, broken light.
House keeping didn't clean bathroom
This was a great value. It was safe, clean, affordable. That was all we were looking for. Being from the states, I was nervous I might be getting what I paid for, meaning something trashy. That was not the case. I'm glad I spent less on the hotel and had more money to enjoy time on the town. I would recommend.
Had we stayed longer, we would have made use of the kitchenette. It's stocked with all you would need to make a simple meal if you're trying to save a bit of money on an extended stay. Fairly rude and standoffish concierge, and for 24 hours the wifi is $5 which is honestly a bit absurd.
The rooms were nice and renovated and quite large for their price. Also came equipped with stocked kitchens. We arrived at noon with a baby. Check-in was at 4. Room was vacated but cleaned yet. Nice staff would've prioritize d getting the room clean so we could check in and change the baby etc. Staff kept line "check-in is at 4, please come back then." Quite rude. Public bathroombnear lobby was also not the cleanest.
