Cons: Collection of the car was fine. The return was more problematic, the address given was not accurate and so took a while until I found the place, besides the place is dark and you can not check the vehicle properly. Reception representative vehicle passes you on the cell phone with the help of light making it difficult to see flaws you must properly. The return suddenly appears a large flashlight and checked the vehicle with surprisingly discovered almost invisible scratches appear, although I had full insurance all the time I was told that the insurance does not cover the scratch. The general feeling is that trying to trip you up. There are many rumors about similar cases, I think this issue should be handled in front of representatives in Romania.

Probably better to look elsewhere
Pros: * The equipment seemed decent, though it might be a bit old according to Western European or US standards. Most cars in the fleet come with manual transmission, I believe.
Cons: * The pickup from the airport did not go well; the place is not well marked, and no one was waiting for me (their excuse was that Kayak does not forward my reservation to them). Had a friendly security person showed me the way, and eventually someone from the shop turned up. * They upsell their insurance, which seems to have a tremendous amount of markup.

Pros: Burn that place down
Cons: The company does not have an office at the airport (like it was stated on the website). I had to look around for "a guy with a payless t-shirt". We waited for 15 minutes to get a ride to some parking lot outside the airport. The fare went from 170 euros to over 400. There were fares added for unexplainable things... Turned out they lied to me about the border crossing. The car was 10 years old, it had multiple problems such as violent shaking of the steering wheel and whole car, window wipers didn't work, blinkers had an electrical issue, the transmission was really worn out... There were pieces of plastic hanging from underneath the fender scratching on the tire... Upon pick up the car was dirty and not fueled up all the way with gas. The staff wanted to put a 1000 Euro hold on my credit card, which of course my bank denied. FYI the company is on my bank's list of fraud investigations. When I tried to cancel the reservation, I was told I'd have to pay my initial 170 euros plus a cancellation fee.. aaand find my own ride back to the airport. I was constantly told that I don't understand how the process works. Never again from Payless and my company has already started the refund process.
