It was horrible because we didn't got a car. We were 2 hours late (what we wrote them via email) and when we arrived they told us that the reservation is cancelled and the car is not available anymore. They tried to give is another car then which would cost us more then three times the price from the reservation. Absolute horrific situation and employees.

The rental shop was closed. We waited, and called multiple times, but they never showed. This left us stranded in a foreign city. We ended up having to pay ridiculous amounts of money for taxis to get to and from our final destination, and weren't really able to explore the villages where our great grandparents were from as we wanted.

The customer service was great. I think the young lady that helped me name was Evelyn. She was very nice and professional. She answered my questions. The rental process was easy. The only improvement would be to improve maintenance on the vehicles. The wiper blades were worn out. This can be dangerous when it rains and driving in St. Thomas.

The car i rented was running on some old tires. Two front tires wire was coming off. I had to go to the tire shop to switch out the tire, put my trip on hold. I was suppouse to go skii that day but i couldnt. Very dissapointed.

Did not get rental, when I got there they claimed they couldn’t access my rental. After waiting a hour started the process but claimed I could not use my debit card. Checked policies and it stated I could use my debit card. Walked out and cancelled rental

Payless has great customer service for the situation we were out in. The insurance prices are crazy but at the end of the day it wasn’t Payless fault. This is a country requirement that we did understand prior to booking. The pick up was easy and Luis was great!! Drop off was simple as well and super friendly. Car was cleaned when we picked up and that was appreciated.

The check-in process took forever. It was a large line and at the beginning the attendance. Chatting among each other, Delaying the process. Finally, a young man came in. And checked in as many people as the previous to attendance did together. I’ve been to this car rental before, and it brought a memory of the last time we experience the same thing. Very frustrating.

I prepaid for my car only to get to the counter and wait for just under an hour. Once assigned a car, I again waited because I was then told my car was double booked. I finally got a car, and it was a great car. However, after turning it in on time I was charged for 3 additional days because they had me down as driving a completely different car. Definitely will Pay More next time and rent from someone else.

Getting from baggage claim to Payless terminal had to stand in long lines to get on the bus. The customer service agent was very nice and friendly. We ended up getting an electric car, but never told us about what charging stations we could use being not familiar with that type of electric car and where the charging stations were a big problem wasted a lot of time during our driving experience, trying to find chargers that would work.

Payless always comes through, the pickup and dropoff process is fast and easy never any issue.. The payless cars are very updated and reliable, the price is always affordable and the deposit is always given back as soon as you drop it off, no extra charges or fees.. I highly recommend them, been using them for the past 3 yrs everytime i travel and not 1 issue..

Pros:

Staff unable to check whether I could use AARP or AAA discounts at time of check-in. Said I needed a “code.” Or maybe a secret handshake?

Rental vehicle did not have a snow brush snd it snowed 2 of the 5 days I rented the vehicle. Come on - it’s Minnesota March weather madness! I was clearing dude windows with my forearms!

Avoid this place! At counter I was told they didn’t have the pickup truck I reserved. Attitude was kind of like “oh well, sucks for you “ I persisted and was given an upgrade type of pickup but it took a very long time with lots of confusion. My daughter rented from her 2 weeks earlier, exact same experience. Waste of money!

I waited forever and was still not rented a car because I didn't have a credit card on me. The guys at the desk were friendly enough but useless. Overall bad experience that will lead me away from enterprise in the future.

I had rented a jeep, and was told upon pickup that there was no guarantee it was all wheel drive, so I had to upgrade to a much more expensive car because the weather was really bad. My rental went from $499.00 to $1020.00! This should be noted on your site when booking. The agent was very good and just doing her job, so no complaints on the customer service!!

Car was okay, clean. pickup and drop-off was fine. BUT WATCH OUT FOR ADDITIONAL CHARGES! Upon arrival, they offered an upgrade for $30 more per day which i accepted. I booked for $533 for my rental, I was expecting to pay $653 with the upgrade, but they charged me almost $1000.00 They said I would get my invoice upon delivery of the vehicle, when I did deliver it, they then said I would get my invoice via email. then I noticed the charge. I immediately called them to dispute the transaction, they said it was because I said my wife "might" drive the vehicle so they added more insurance for her. - they did not declare that to me. (I ended up driving the whole time anyway) They said they would get back to me in 24-48 hours with my dispute/complaint. that didn't happen either. Now I am having to dispute the charge with my bank, and I still have not received an invoice from them. BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THESE GUYS. GET IT IN WRITING, GET A COPY BEFORE YOU AGREE TO ANYTHING.

Need to be able to contact Avis MSP directly for Lost and Found. Need option for reporting items left at Avis office. Young son forgot blue backpack with tablet computer, gift books, and art supplies. It has not yet been found. Lost and Found ID 12359969.

Pros:

Yes, the staff was very friendly and helpful. I think that the wait in line was longer than it needed to be. But overall the experience was pleasant given that I wasn't in a hurry.

Cons:

I think that the pricing should be more upfront and transparent. And after all of the fees nearly $400 was a little steep for only two days with the car. Finally, the pick up area was a valet and it wasn't well marked where I should wait. Given that the temperature was in the teens, that was an important point.

I made a mistake and ordered the cat a week early. Rental would have been 185 dollars. They charged me 100 bucks for a car I never even got. Cancelled reservations more than 24 hours in advance. Hertz charged me more than half 100 bucks. Hertz - rip off artists. Hertz - rip off artists.

Cons:

I was charged an extra $107.00 for something. I still have no idea what it was for and the receipt, which was emailed to me, does not disclose the reason for the charge. I will have to contact Hertz for an explanation. It might have been done in error but it did not apply to any extra that I agreed to pay. I am very disappointed and was quite surprised to see the amount on the emailed receipt.
