great downtown location, close to it all would have liked a fridge in the room, other then that wonderful
Excelent facilities, particularly the gym. Good restaurant as well. Very helpful staff. Great city centre location The outside looks little sad, but once inside is fine
Clean but with a definite 'run down' feeling, operated on a shoe string and it shows..convenient to convention center if there is no other choice.Personel is friendly and helpful, doing the best they can .. Noisy air conditioning and fan blowing in your face at the desk...sleep number bed a disappointment..TV set far from its prime...dinner quality worth forgetting at best..
Love the location, very close to Salt Palace. The pool area was also nice. Not worth the price for anything other than location. Bathroom was pretty dirty, the room was nothing special. Our mini fridge was leaking when we checked in and the floor was wet. They sent a new one right up which was great. I wish the floor elevators went straight to the parking garage. It was mediocre for my expectation of a 4 star hotel.
Accommodations were comfortable, inviting, and very convenient to Salt Palace convention center. Staff was wonderful. Service at restaurant was slow and sometimes absent. Disappointing, because the food was excellent.
Rooms were clean and neat Was told that there was a airport shuttle....not Check in was @ late! Got into room @ 5. Had to put luggage into closet by front desk while we walked around downtown, waiting for a phone call from them stating that our room was ready. We were not the only ones either. Was told that our stay included the breakfast, found out after we had already had eaten....
Clean place with friendly staff. They even threw in a free breakfast with our stay. It was also an easy walk to the mall. The room had cool art but, the heater was very loud. Something wrong with the fan. Also no bathroom fan oddly enough.
Very good central location, the motorized bed system to get a better confort was astonishing.
Breakfast buffet was quick and very good for this kind of meal. Waitperson was very polite and helpful. Clerks at reception desk also were great.
So close to the Salt Palace convention center. Beds were comfortable. Rooms were smaller than expected, with no microwave.
The hotel met my needs and the location was perfect. The hotel staff was great and the parking was excellent. I would expect the Radisson to be a very nice hotel. The SLC Radisson was not a very nice hotel. The room was just an average room with sub standard furniture requiring replacement. I had a better room at a two star hotel. I don’t think the hotel should have charged to park at the hotel ($24.00 for two days was excessive).
I liked the location and friendly staff The old rooms and broken heater, loud refrigerator. Not the cleanest bedding.
Great location! The water in the morning would be hot and then cold- not very comfortable!
VERRY CONVENENT FOR MY STAY AS I WAS IN THE DAYS OF 47 PARADE AND I LIVE IN CACHE VALLY. I BOOKED AT THE RIGHT TIME. GOOD RATES .
Conveniently located next to Temple Square, within walking distance of the convention center. Easy access to lots of local restaurants/shops/bars. The staff was always very nice, and the light rail from the airport stops directly in front of the hotel. My room also had a great view of the Temple Square area and the mountains in the background. Not a very big room, although I didn't need a lot of space as a solo business traveler. The bed wasn't the most comfortable I've slept in, but it could have been much worse. They offered the option to not wash the sheets every day if desired (in order to save water and resources), which I appreciated, but did not offer to do the same for the towels.
It was in the heart of Salt Lake City across of Temple Square, across of Abravanel Hall, and City Creek Shopping Center. The free fare zone helped to get around using the train in front of the hotel and several buses nearby. Nice view of the city from the hotel. I found a few stains on the upper part of the shower curtain, lack of space to put luggage down, and a cold draft coming from the balcony door even though it was closed. This was mainly due to the snow storm though.
Everything we came to Salt Lake City for is within walking distance of the Salt Lake Plaza & at a very reasonable price. This was my second visit & would stay again when I return to town. It would be nice if parking were included in the rate, but the $5.00 fee is reasonable & parking is secure.
Nice place, great location, has been recently updated with décor, bed was very comfortable, room was clean, free internet with good service Staff was knowledgeable but a little slow, price was a high versus other locations of similar quality, not a modern or chic building but very serviceable.
Within walking distance to city creek Room was very small. Run down. Needs up dated. Not worth the money. Water hot then cold in shower. Staff was ok.
The location is great. Light rail stop right out front. Half a block to the convention center. Only feet from the Salt Lake Temple if you are interested in sightseeing
Nice place, great location and walking distance to shopping mall. Hotel room clean and spacious.
Unplanned overnight in Salt Lake due to flight cancellation. Hotel is ideally located (really is adjacent to Temple Square and City Creek). Squeaky clean. Deco lifted from a set of "The Americans," or maybe something five or ten years earlier. Not old, just old.
I always stay at the Hilton, it's great location and pretty luxury althought there's many more luxury hotels, Hilton is great in price and location, close to bars and City Creek Mall The extra charge for parking should be included with the stay
It was clean. The staff was courteous, friendly, helpful and well informed. It was close to Temple Square and Shopping! Great atmosphere! No microwave or refrigerator in room. Also I don't like that they charge you for bottled water, $3.00 seems very high!
The location was excellent and the facilities were very nice. The young man who first met us as we drove up was very, very friendly and helpful. We had trouble getting connected to the Wi-Fi. When we did (with the help of their out-sourced IT) it was a very weak signal. Also, when we got to the hotel, the place seemed a bit chaotic with wedding guests, wedding parties and tons of people clogging the entry way.
I didn't like that you had to pay for parking each day and you had to pay for WiFi.
The firepits and lounge area No outside pool or hot tub. Room wasn't as nice as I was expecting for the money.
Rooms are clean and comfortable Room was not ready when I arrived
The daily parking seemed a little steep given both the parking garage and surrounding streets were basically empty.
When I was working I stayed at this hotel year after year, and appreciated the little extras they had. This room was very basic, no extras or frills - but it was close to the political convention I was attending.
The staff was so nice and very accommodating! Their Bambora resturant was amazing! The best food I've ever had! It was so good that we ate there for dinner and breakfast. Wine/social hour was very relaxing. It was a fabulous get away!!!
Well decorated, nice overall. Other people's showers so loud it kept me up, knocking on my door when I have do not disturb tag hanging, if you arrive late at night your reservation may disappear, parking is stupid expensive considering cost of room, no parking for large vehicles.
Restaurant was very good - except for the dogs. Staff was helpful and friendly Dogs
It was clean and centrally located. TL;DR We were overcharged for the room. The room was dark and tiny. We were "upgraded" to a smaller, darker room. Don't stay here. Paying via priceline was $40 more than the hotel website advertised. On a night when the hotel was nearly empty, we were given an awkward corner room that was poorly lit and the size of a closet. Front desk was nice enough to "upgrade" us.... to a smaller and darker yet equally uncomfortable corner room. The robes were threadbare, faded leopard print, and gross. It was so terrible that we questioned whether we were on Candid Camera. I've been a lifelong Kimpton devotee but never again. There are so many great hotel options in SLC. Don't waste your time or money here.
I would definitely recommend it . I am going to stay more over there Everything was great.
Loved it here! Great place to stay! The staff is so friendly, definitely has a high end feel. Furnishings are very nice and unique layout. Very clean. Bed is very comfortable. I highly recommend getting room service. The restaurant in the hotel is to die for. They accept pets and welcome them with open arms. Valet service for $24 per night is very worth it! Lovely hotel!
My husband and I enjoy staying here because it's always modern, clean, sophisticated and welcoming. They are so friendly and the rooms have these fun and creative amenities, like yoga mats & animal print bathrobes. We often have overnight lay-overs and roadtrip pit-stops in Salt Lake City and the Kimpton Monaco never disappoints. No complaints
Location, friendly staff, decor Room 708 must be very close to ventsbof some sort because there is a hum going on the whole day and night, which could affect quality or sleep.
Room, location, bed, view Girl that checked us in put us in the wrong room and when told did it again. I went to remedy and was told that hotels.com could not reserve the room I requested and that I would need to request refund from them. I went back to wrong room, called hotels.com and miraculously the correct room opened up! Yeah for hotels.com
The location was great. $15.00 for parking and no free wifi.
Bed was awful. Lobby was stark and uninviting.
this is one of the best hotels in SLC, the location, amenities and friendliness of staff is outstanding
Bed was very comfy and big for me, my wife and out 7 month old little boy. Staff was nice and helpful. Had a great view from the 9th floor. Location was awesome. For a last minute trip, this place a gold to stay at. The bathroom was small, I have stayed at cheaper places with bigger bathrooms. Breakfast was over priced. It was cheaper for my family to go else where for food.
Clean, great location You are required to pay a $15 parking fee per day to use the only parking structure available on the premises.
Bed was comfy...perfect for two. City view at night was amazing. Originally paid for the high rise but they tried to put me on the third floor. Desk worker Sage was very kind and helpful in getting us into a more appropriate room on the 14th floor. Small bathroom....small bathtub. Very few options for "gift store." 7 dollars for a bowl of cereal!!
The hotel itself is nice. It's comfortable, clean. Seems best for business or couples. The indoor pool was fun with a city view. We had a few problems with our room upon arrival. Online we had booked a room with a sofa bed, and the microwave/fridge. The room they gave us had no sofa bed for our kids, so they switched us to a room with no fridge/microwave. The staff weren't very friendly. When asking questions about breakfast, facilities, getting extra blankets and pillows etc. they were rude and treated us as if we were being incovenient with all these "silly" questions. The pillows were miserable! Down and feather pillows provide no support so it made sleeping on a nice mattress difficult.
the staff was great , the bed comfortable , room was nice parking was difficult , room service was a little slow
The rooms were all updated beautifully with modern bathrooms and very comfortable bedding. Would definitely stay again !!
Great location and the view from my window was amazing. Very friendly staff. Clean comfortable bed. For the price the room was small, No spa, No coffee in the room. Not a hot tub, jacuzzi to be found. Room was hot. I was a very sad girl.
Convenient to all the downtown sights. Back patio is right on Gallivan Center plaza. Great views of the mountains. Cheerful service from everyone, from valet to housekeeping to front desk. Dinner at on-site restaurant was just okay.
Staff was very friendly, location is fantastic!! It is old and has less amenities but this was no surprise as we reviewed the comments from other travellers. Breakfast is fine nothing special ! But overall it is a great value for what you get. Did not like having to pay for parking !!!!!!! Again the breakfast was nothing special and the internet in the room was slow but I did find that the internet down in the business room was fine!
The elevator that only holds 2 people and works intermittently. Kinda worn and musty.
The building smelt old and so did the room, I was worried my cloths would take on the smell so I left. The toilet was pretty much right next to the wall with the towel rack right over it so you couldn't go to the bathroom with out removing the towels first. The room was very small as well.
It's close to everything and close to public transportation. Also it's a historical building which is awesome. The place have a lot of history which made us really like it. The breakfast is not really good it's an ok breakfast. And also there is no parking so you have to pay hourly Parking or park from 8 pm to 8 am for free
The bed was amazing and the bathroom was massive The room did get a little cold at night.
The Peery is located conveniently to great restaurants, the Salt Palace, and downtown SLC. I was able to walk everywhere I went. The airport was only 15 minutes away by Uber. All the staff were excellent, very friendly and accommodating. The hotel has that boutique charm and has been redone beautifully. I was there during some unseasonably warm days. Being on third floor, all the heat seemed to come up to my room. Apparently, because of the age of the building, they can only turn on the heat OR the AC. I sweltered the first night. The next day I asked at the desk and they told me to leave the HV/AC system off and my room would cool down. Normally, that may have been true, but due to the warm days, it didn't happen. They then got me a box fan, which helped tremendously. I was more comfortable for the rest of my stay.
The staff was wonderful, even going so far as to loan me a phone charger because I left mine at home! The hotel is a 15 minute was to the Family History Library, right through downtown. The lobby is very nice. The room was perfect for my needs, clean and simple. It's not the Ritz, but that's not what you're paying for! Great value. I'd stay here agin on a trip to Salt Lake.
The beds were very comfy and the decor and location were nice. When the heater turned on, it was excessively loud (hard to sleep through) and the bathroom fan was very loud as well.
Staff was great. Friendly, helpful and professional. The key card system was broken, so no room keys. Quite a hassle.
Interesting older hotel. It was clean and the bed was awesome. The staff was friendly and helpful. It is right in the center of the city. The room was small and the breakfast was so-so. It needs a remodel. It could be a top-notch hotel with some new carpet, paint, etc.
Clean. Vintage. A/C didn't work and it was way too hot. Rooms were tiny and a bit cramped.
The hotel and its staff were very nice and welcoming, even accommodated a late checkout request, so I was pleased. I was surprised this location didn't have a shuttle to the airport and yet airline crews were staying there - maybe special arrangements are made for them. Other hotels in the area do offer shuttles.
The location of the hotel was outstanding. Literally across the street from the sports arena and just a block away from the Salt Palace convention center. In addition, the staff was always very attentive to whatever we needed and whatever questions we had. So while it was a business trip and I had zero say as to where we were staying, I was very impressed and would absolutely stay there again next time I'm in SLC. It was a new hotel (I think 5 weeks old) when we stayed so they were still working out the kinks. The room phone wouldn't work except for when on speaker phone, the thermostat unit wouldn't drop past 70 for the A/C setting and the position of the shower head to the shower door created inevitable run off onto the bathroom floor (nothing a towel couldn't soak up but, you know, still a curious choice). But those are very nit-picky things and will easily be overlooked the next time I'm in SLC because I will be staying there.
The breakfast was delicious, rooms were spacious and clean. We love the kitchenette and updated appliances. We stayed on a busy weekend but it was not too crowded or loud. Location was close to many things but not a great view. The breakfast was delicious but availability of food items varied, possibly due to a large group that was staying that weekend.

The hotel lobby was closed and consequently so was the pool. We also couldn't find the breakfast provided by the hotel. We were placed in a room with one bed despite having booked a room with a bed and sofa sleeper. There were unwashed sheets in our room.
Very clean and great staff

Comfortable, clean, great breakfast buffet. Disappointed in the cold pool.

Friendly, helpful staff. Location. We walked to our restaurant. Our room was nice but awfully small. We felt a bit crowded.
It was within walkable distance of downtown; it was also clean and updated. I also enjoyed the free Wi-Fi. I did not like being placed in a handicap accessible room without being told in advance. As a hotel guest, sometimes you want to be able to relax and take a bath and that option was not afforded me.
We normally enjoy the Marriott Hotels This Marriott was under massive construction which we were not made aware of. They did not offer the rooms that we paid for (kings with sofa sleepers), the restaurant was torn out, and the pool was destroyed.
Room was nice and clean, internet was good, bed and pillows were okay. Our window faced a very loud and obnoxious dance club. The walls between rooms seemed thin. There was no breakfast included.

Everything was perfect, no issues whatsoever. The room was cleaned so thoroughly everyday that it felt like we were getting a brand new room every day. No complaints whatsoever.
It was so new and nice and clean.
The beds are comfortable. Shilo In is under construction. Do not stay here unless you absolutely have to. The front lobby is cold, the parking is behind the Shilo Inn (you have to walk around the block to access the parking). Construction in the building is from 7am - 7pm (noisy and don't even try to sleep in). After I got to the Shilo Inn, is when I realized how much work is being done, and I still paid full price.
clean and conveniently located. They don't have room service.
convenient location, Nice staff all else was bad. it smelled, our room had a whole in the ceiling and our bed had hair in it. The breakfast was bad and weird.
The room was very nice. The facility was clean and well situated. I really liked the pool, sauna, and the overall room. My friend ended up getting food poisoning after eating the breakfast. Please make sure that your food is fresh. He got very little rest that night and ended up vomiting for most of the trip.
Great location! Elevators were constantly broken and the stairs were off limits so sometimes the weight for an elevator for 20-30 min
Staff was nice, good location. The hotel was very run down. Had broken table, ancient tv, and microwave. Free breakfast was a joke. Don't recommend staying there.
Price was extremely high during our stay
Nice big / clean room and comfy bed. Enjoyed the pool and spa and especially the proximity to the convention center for the conference I was attending. The hotel is under construction. It's getting a much needed update, but that meant construction noise and scaffolding outside my window. Wasn't a big deal.
Good breakfast. Better than other places we've stayed. Nice people. Good room. Breakfast not as good as I remember. Parking was limited. Loading/unloading lane was packed with overnight parking. The regular parking was all taken. We were sent across the street with a parking pass. When we went leave the attendant didn't recognize or no what to do with the pass. Luckily he let us through.
I enjoyed the friendly staff, convenient location, and the clean rooms!
This is a former Howard Johnson's. The rates are reasonable, they even have a shuttle to and from the airport. The furniture is older but the beds are comfortable. The place was very clean. The breakfast was cereal, bagels, toast, canned fruit, juice, milk, coffee and packaged Danishes. The continental breakfast was limited and some rooms open to an outside hall which is quite cold in the winter.
The ONLY news Channels on the Television was Faux Nuwz. Fox, Multi Year Winner of Worst Media Lie.
The bed which was supposed to be a queen I swear it was a double. But the bed was comfortable. The TV remote didn't work which wasn't a big deal as it turned out because the TV didn't work. Then we couldn't turn it off. It was on all night. Remember Poltergeist? The room smelled. They didn't allow smoking but I think it would have it would have been an improvement. The sign outside says $69 and up. We paid $123.+ When I asked about the price difference was told due to conference in town. Breakfast was the pastries in bags,(only two per person, who would want two?) bagels, canned fruit, cold cereal. A funny thing was, they had 4 boxes of tea available, all the same kind. If you don't like Jasmine Green tea you are SOL! Not a good experience at all.
At least five lamps in the room did not work. Tube style TV. No "do not disturb" sign for the door. Staff couldn't be bothered to help with a simple request.
This spot is close to downtown. THe place is generally clean and well maintained, and the cost is very reasonable. The only problem I would say was the carpets were old and not super clear
They let me keep my car in the parking lot for the rest of the day after I checked out The room was really clean The heater worked well The breakfast wasn't that great The whole place is kind of run down and old
Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Loved the location. Being one block away from energy solutions arena was very convenient. Older hotel.
Close to city center WiFi connection was very poor and hotel staff were helpless
Traveling alone I like the parking lot very close to busy streets And well lit
North Temple Inn is very well situated for walking access to many downtown destinations. It is among the most affordable considering its location. The property is a bit dated, in need of updating. Much of the maintenance work done within the rooms has an unfinished look to it - functionally complete but cheaply done (mismatched paint, obvious signs of patching, etc.). The fact that the maintenance has been done is a good thing, but that it is done on a tight budget seems evident. TV in room was an old-style tube television. Furnishings were chipped and scratched, but fully functional. Wireless Internet was variable.
Very affordable. Great value. Not super comfy pillows, nor comforter.
One block from ESA, very clean rooms, friendly, helpful staff. Have stayed here before and will again without hesitation. Rooms were small and slightly out of date but very comfortable. Breakfast was limited but I didn't stay here for that. Good value for what we received.
