Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location right in between Cannery Row and down town/marina, beautiful views, comfortable rooms , professional staff.
Cons: When it says "sleeps 4" on booking.com, it might mean a sofa bed, please double check. No problem for smaller kids, but an issue for teenage+ Pricing is very steep, especially on weekends when Bay Area locals descend on the town.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable and there was a ceiling fan! For all you fan lovers you know this is rare! Excellent customer service and location! I would stay there again
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The willingness of staff to accommodate our party while sparing other guest our rambunctious toddlers. It was so great to have the dining area to ourselves before the dinner hour.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Nothing - a small room with view on the street which was very noisy ! Unfriendly people at the reception and restaurant. No access to the SPA except in between 6-9 pm (dinner time). A real joke - I paid 1200 usd for a 2 day stay with very little comfort.
Cons: A small room with view on the street which was very noisy ! Unfriendly people at the reception and restaurant. No access to the SPA except in between 6-9 pm (dinner time). A real joke - I paid 1200 usd for a 2 day stay with very little comfort.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very helpful...!! Loved the music in the lobby... the views and sounds are amazing!!! The location was nice ...we walked to dinner and breakfast. Would like to return ... do you have specials ??
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is wonderful, right on the sea and within the sound of the seals and sea lions in the next cove. The hotel has a good restaurant, bar and a very nice cafe for breakfast or snacks; there is also a good restaurant next to the hotel. We particularly liked the plaza with its views of the bay and a large open air fire in the evening - perfect for a last relax and a glass of something suitable. Staff are very helpful and the manager's reception once a week is a nice touch. The rooms are well appointed and spacious and the price includes valet parking, which is well organised. It is easy to walk on the coastal pathway to the town and the Aquarium is close by on Cannery Row.
Cons: Not much; there was always a conference there but the hotel has to generate income and it is a bit of a walk to get to the block on the other side of the road.

Pros: I liked that it was quiet and that it was very clean. If you needed something and you called the front desk it was taken care of immediately. In the evening we ordered dinner from the golf course restaurant and it was phenomenal food and preparation. We visited with my mom who is 99 years old and it was really nice to be able to order the food and have like a five-star restaurant quality back at our room and enjoy it with her without having to worry about taking her to a restaurant late in the evening. Great food obviously great chef and staff.

Cons: The breakfast at the lodge was good but not worth the money.

Pros: Close to downtown shops and restaurants
Cons: Dated and needs some more upgrades
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: The watermelon at brunch was good
Cons: Paid LOTS of money for a room with a king size bed. This place is NOISY. The sound of people flushing their toilets or running their showers is incredible. The banged up used furniture in our room needs replacing. Knobs were missing from the end tables and chest. The upholstery on the two chairs were pathetic. We parked on the street because this hotel does not have enough parking spaces to accommodate guests. WILL NOT STAY HERE AGAIN.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We thought the Breakfast was wonderful and the staff was wonderful and friendly too.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The innkeeper (gina) was an amazing person. She was so nice and helpful. Really made us feel comfortable. Service was wonderful.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: My wife and I stayed at the Martine Inn during Monterey Car Week and, in spite of the elevated activity level throughout the Monterey area, Don, his Grandson and the staff took great care of us. The Inn was our welcome ocean front retreat when we needed a break. Breakfasts were very good and the afternoon "tea" was extensive and tasty. All in all, a delightful stay.
Cons: Being car week, the room rates were not a bargain but also not totally unreasonable as all area accommodations go up pretty sharply during that time. Also, the rooms are not air conditioned, which is not prominently mentioned. Though the days were pretty warm (August) the ocean front location assured that things cooled down reasonably during the evenings. Sleeping was not at all uncomfortable.
7.5 Good
Pros: Great location and view, 10-minute walk from Cannery Row. Immaculately clean. Martine Inn definitely has character and a unique style that sets it apart from other places to stay.
Cons: Unless you’re a fan of antique houses, it’s not really worth the expense. Being an old property, it doesn’t have amenities like air conditioning. The bathroom is cute but tiny and impractical (eg. no place to put soap/shampoo while you shower). There are no electrical outlets next to the bed and no extension cord so you can’t charge your phone unless you disconnect the radio alarm - small details that could make this place much better.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfasts were excellent. Unexpected evening cookies and wine/cheese was nice with a wide variety of tasty cheeses, fruit and veggies. Very lovely and memorable view of the ocean from the dining room. Very well located in Pacific Grove.
Cons: Our room (the Fountain Room) was abit on the small side. It overlooked the outdoor patio that contained a fountain, chairs/tables and an antique pool table. All very quaint and lovely except it was noisy in the evening for our room as other guests enjoyed the patio space.

6.0 Good
Pros: The breakfast and the location (couple of blocks to walking trails and beach)
Cons: The furniture (2 small antique chairs) impractical and uncomfortable; no table space (other than 2 small bedside tables); in room facing street where I could hear every vehicle that passed; room could use freshening up.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cooked breakfast every day. Lovely dining & sitting room
Cons: A longer stay
9.0 Excellent
Pros: beautiful B/B with daily included breakfast, great central location to downtown Monterey, 5 min walk to lover's point beach and oceanfront walk. really accommodating staff.
Cons: understandably old building with creaky floors. this was not bothersome but for those that value very quiet places, may not be ideal for you.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice old wooden house, kind check-in service, beautiful neighborhood. Coast walk 2mins, walkable to Monterey Wharf. Nice garden, birds, trees. Eating places nearby.
Cons: Tight room, a bit smileless service at breakfast
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast offerings were very good. The frittatas, shortbreads, and scones were fine. Coffee, water, and orange juice were available 24/7. The bathroom shower had been upgraded. The staff was very good - personable, responsive to needs, checking in and out. The inn's location is great. It is a short walk to the Lover's Point coastal walkways. Restaurants were within walking distance too.
Cons: One set of window blinds were inoperative and the bathroom sink had a crack in it. The body lotion in the shower was almost empty and barely met our stay needs. There is no a/c and windows were used to control temp comfort. Open windows also admitted more road noise.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Walking distance to shore, dining and shopping. Delicious breakfast!
Cons: Room deodorizer was a little strong.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Parking was tricky.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location great. Breakfast was excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: No.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very good location, clean comfortable and excellent breakfasts. Staff were very helpful and welcoming both in the evenings and mornings. Good value for the area.
Cons: Our room was on the front corner of the building which was rather noisy, and there was quite a bit of noise from upstairs too. That said, we were not disturbed through the night so this is just really for information. The property is quite dated in its style and quality but still has a charming Victorian atmosphere.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff and location
Cons: Pillow and bed a little hard
9.0 Excellent
Pros: wonderful hotel. the location and the friendliness of the people make a stay here a pure pleasure.
Cons: --

10
8.8 Excellent (2,000 reviews)
Overview Reviews
The hotel is located in the heart of carmel, next door to exclusive shops, galleries and restaurants. Championship golf courses and pristine white beaches are just minutes away.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view by far was the best feature to this hotel. Location was perfect. The staff was exceptional!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Cute little place, great location.
Cons: No AC or fan in the rooms (there is heating). It generally doesn't get too hot in Carmel, but for those of us who are naturally warm and need a little AC (or at least a fan)going to sleep well at night, it was disappointing. Everything else was good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stayed in room 502, which had a great view of the ocean. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was small but it appears to have been recently remodeled and the shower had good water pressure. Its a short walk to lots of nice restaurants.
Cons: The AC/refrigeration unit from the market/deli next door is somewhat loud and is on 24 hours. It's a white noise so I was able to kind of tune it out, but be aware if you're someone who's sensitive to that type of thing.
7.0 Good
Pros: The hotel was in a great location and a competitive price for the area.
Cons: The room smelt and no matter how long the doors and windows were opened it wouldn't go away.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location and cleanliness
Cons: Signage within the hotel is need. The hotel is on many levels.....a sign at the elevators to let guests know where various facilities are located on which floor would be a good start. Signs around the hotel that indicate the office etc.location are needed
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Love the fireplace and the breakfast they offered. A variety to choose from and clean and organized. Loved our view and was quiet all the time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location and very cute property. Internet is fast and the breakfast was tasty.
Cons: You can hear a bit of noise from the other rooms, but I think it’s mainly due to the type of wood construction practiced in the US
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Had a great experience at the Carmel Bay Inn. When you first pull up, the Inn is super cute, looks freshly painted, and had flowers in all the planters. The staff was very friendly when we checked in and it was very streamlined. The lobby is quite cozy. The room was super spacious with a huge bathroom as well, and felt very homey. Location is close to the main street in Carmel - was perfect for a weekend getaway.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Nice quiet part of town. Very comfortable room and the staff was super accommodating!

Pros: The host in the bar and restaurant was really great! Pros: The room was beautiful and cozy. It's exactly as it is in the photos. The view of the beach from our room was beautiful. They have a cocktail hour every night and bonfires on the beach with big comfy chairs. They even provide individual blankets for their guests to use for those chilly nights. PERFECT place.
Cons: The bathroom was okay, no soaker tub. But still pretty.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location. Short walk to beautiful beach. Near Monterey and Carmel.
Cons: Not a fan of the sliding panel doors on bath room. The bed hurt my back. You can't pull your car up to the room. It was Rainey and cold when we stayed so the extended walks to the parking lot were interesting.

Pros: Everything!
Cons: N/A
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great quiet village on the ocean shore, amazing suites, fireplace in the room is a great touch, as well as s’mores kit and blankets you can take to the shore. Bonfires were also great. We appreciated a tranquility the place features. Definitely leaves a taste for more
Cons: It was a bit expensive :)
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was beautiful, loved the sunset beach. Great to be a little away from the rest of the people in Monterrey peninsula but close enough to go when you wanted.
Cons: The resort is lovely, that being said it is starting to get tired...for example the tub in our room was rusty.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice set up with “car free zone” and directly at the beach. We had a room facing the ocean which did not suffer form the noise form the road which other rooms must have.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The wine and cheese at 4pm was a great way to mingle with guests and enjoy the evening.
Cons: The breakfast was not good.
6.0 Good
Pros: The staff and service were great; food at the restaurant was good Easy drive to Monterey and Carmel. Located on the beach. I chose this hotel over the Hyatt as the photos looked comparable.
Cons: The resort is a bit run down; great place to take your pet; the bikes are old and in terrible shape. There is no bike path on the property; no parking near the rooms; roll away bed was a type of folding cot from REI and very uncomfortable.

7.0 Good
Pros: Location. Large room and bathroom
Cons: I was given early check in and went up to my room to find it in a complete mess. It had not been cleaned.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room and bathroom was spacious and attractive. Best part about this hotel was the walkability. We could walk to all the shops and restaurants one way or go the other way and see beach and seals.
Cons: The heat was broken the first night and even though they were quick to fix it the next day they offered nothing to compensate for our discomfort. Also it would have been ideal to have soundproof windows as the room faced a noisy street and was near a pier where the seals barked loudly all night which was amazing to witness but also kept us from a good night's sleep.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was an amazing experience from start to finish. From the breathtaking view from the room, to breakfast delivered every morning, it was an amazing experience.
Cons: I only give this hotel a 10 because they won't let us give an 11. Absolutely phenomenal hotel. I travel extensively for work and this is by far the number one experience I have had in recent years. Not one thing I would change. Amazing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, friendliness, beautiful!
Cons: Having to pay for parking on top of room price.
4.0 Okay
Cons: This property does not have air conditioned rooms! This was a huge negative, as we sleep best at 67 degrees and the room was quite a bit warmer. We called the front desk and they suggested we use the fan in the closet!! Crazy for what we paid!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Right on the harbor. Walking distance to Cannery Row. The breakfast delivered to the room was amazing.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Loved the bedding, hot tub, robes and location.
Cons: Could not get the WiFi to work. Tried the password several times and it just wouldn’t acknowledge. Also, it would be nice to have options of room service or delivery of some those nice restaurants.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The friendliness of all the staff and everything about the hotel.
Cons: Absolutely nothing.
6.0 Good
Pros: Convenient location
Cons: Front desk manager was not friendly who kept wanting to charge us more.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Clean, location, staff etc etc
Cons: No microwave anywhere to be found ! Thou they were kind enough to want to send someone up to our room to warm the food up for us but I wasn’t comfortable with that
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Most of the rooms in the hotel have a view looking toward the beach and boat harbor (like ours). We enjoyed listening to the waves crash on the beach at night, mixed in with the distant barking of the sea lions/seals and sounds of the sea gulls. Breakfast was continental (fruit, pastries, yogurt, coffee, juice) served directly to the room. Room looked recently renovated and was in great condition.
Cons: Parking is an extra charge, and the spots are small (pretty standard for California). It was absolutely fine for us (small 5 passenger car), but if you have a standard car you should be fine, but if you have a truck it will be difficult to park. Hotel is wood frame construction, and you could occasionally hear people walking in the room above us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The employes,the view.ocean
Cons: Nothing

Seaside Inn Monterey - Seaside - Bedroom
1
8.0 Excellent (609 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Seaside Inn in Seaside, you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Monterey Bay and Monterey County Fairgrounds. Free self parking is available onsite.
7.0 Good
Pros: Not Applicable
Cons: Good clean bathroom
1.0 Poor
Pros: leaving it
Cons: The lady at the counter.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It was right where me and my husband where going.
Cons: Nothing really except we where told there was a continental breakfast and there wasn't.
7.9 Good
Pros: The Seaside Motel was upgraded with quality furnishings. and the atmosphere was quiet. All of the rooms are for non-smokers & pets are not allowed which worked for me. Although the motel is in the neighborhood of Cost Plus, Costco and car dealerships, commuting anywhere was easily accomplished. The cost during the busy season was more reasonable than most motels.
Cons: Although my particular room upstairs had a nice Koehler bath/shower, the drain did not work adequately. Otherwise, I have no complaints. Parking at the motel is crowded, and no breakfast is offered.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice price and well lit.
6.7 Good
Cons: I wanted to pay with cash at check-out like any normal motel/hotel and she wouldn’t let me. She said that my card had already been charged when I checked in. She (I think it was the owner’s wife).
7.0 Good
Pros: Comfortable room decent price
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Pleasant, non-nonsense place with friendly desk staff and nice room.
Cons: WiFi was difficult, and worked best in the bathroom! I had to use ear plugs due to the traffic noise.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very close to a beach. Many restaurants all around. And a Little balcony :). Highly recommended.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Seaside Inn is conveniently located about 10-15 minutes from Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row. The rooms have been fairly recently updated and are really nice. The bed was comfortable and we had a little refrigerator and a microwave as well as a small coffee pot in the room. The room rate is much better than most of the other hotel and motel properties in the area, and other properties which are around the same rate or less expensive as Seaside Inn are not nearly as nice.
Cons: The parking lot is very small and cramped which makes parking not so much fun.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I got a great rate and the room exceeded my expectations in being up to date and clean.
Cons: Nothing.
5.8 Okay
Cons: Location near main street Small room

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Loved that it is a quiet motel with well appointed rooms. Beds are comfy and pillows are awesome. Nice selection of channels on TV. Have been on a beach trip for over a week and this has been by far the most comfortable room with actual air conditioning! Loved my stay! Seems to have been recently renovated- very clean.
Cons: No coffee maker in the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Being able to park near my room.
Cons: There were several oversize vehicles parked in small spaces. Pick ups, utility, should probably been asked to park further away, They blocked views and took every inch and made getting in and out of regular size cars more difficult. They were dusty.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My family really liked the room, especially the beds, sheets, and pillows. They were super happy that this is the place we chose to spend two nights.
Cons: Wish they had breakfast included.
9.2 Excellent

Pros: The location was close to restaurants and the freeway.
7.0 Good
Cons: Bed was a bit too springy
6.0 Good
Pros: Nice room layout.
Cons: Bare bones basic. Coffee maker in each room is expected especially at that price.
7.9 Good
Pros: It was very clean and modernized. The property was painted and had cute window boxes with flowers on the railings which was a nice touch.
Cons: We would have liked a coffee maker in the room, however coffee was offered in the lobby each morning.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location for our trip. Very clean and comfortable.
Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was neat and clean, appeared to have been recently remodeled
Cons: Room was small
5.4 Okay
Pros: Overall okay.
Cons: The super bright parking lot light flickered on and off like a strobe light. We had to cover our windows with towels and blankets in order to sleep.
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: I ended up paying cash and they charged my wife's credit card twice . Something definitely fishy about that hotel and I will stay there again !

1.0 Poor
Pros: It was the cheapest I could find, but almost $--- for one night after taxes and all, was not worth it.
Cons: It smelt of cigarette, there were cigarette butts under the bed, along with burn marks on the comforters. The back door didn't lock, their bathroom was unfinished, exposed concrete where cabinets should be, the shower leaked, and wouldn't turn off.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Location, some interior remodel updates
Cons: There was cigarette smoke billowing in from under the door, through the vents and seemingly the walls! People yelling all night, carpet was disgusting/missing. Sagging mattress, old furniture

Pros: I was locked out of my room at 7am in the morning for 1 hour because there was no one at the front desk to reset my key-card. I tried calling, but there phone message box was full. When I complained to the management, the gave me such an attitude.
Cons: horrible experience.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Close proximity to beach and shopping and restaurants
Cons: Views of car dealerships parking lots
4.6 Okay
Pros: Staff was rude I used my debit card to book my room not to pay for the room, just book it . . .however 30 minutes after that I got a email from the motel saying my card declined. I didn't understand that because I wasn't supposed to get charged for holding my room.
Cons: Staff members are rude,

9.0 Excellent
Pros: breakfast was very good. location was very good, easy travel for Jazz Festival.
Cons: our room was cold. we could not get heat from vents. we had to have a heater brought to the room.
7.0 Good
Pros: The breakfast was good and the location was excellent.
Cons: The bed was much too hard for seniors.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The eggs omelets were delicious!
Cons: The coffee is very weak and watered down. It needs more flavor. I think the brew system is not the best choice for the coffee system. The line in the store is too long to get a specialty coffee - the clerk needs help. Also, happy hour line too long and not enough bar staff for this.
6.7 Good
Pros: Good location
Cons: The happy hr snacks were low, the sheets were a tad rough compared to last time, and there was a HUGE spider in the bathroom when I woke up. My room was pretty warm and I didn’t ever feel like it cooled down to my preference nor did it feel like the air was circulating well
6.0 Good
Pros: Location, friendly staff, omelets ocean view
Cons: Happy hour snacks were marginal, no humus for example, nothing for adults but few vegi s, no hot tub, only one lobby bathroom, elevators were stuck often
9.0 Excellent
Pros: convenience
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Employees were excellent.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Whats not to like?! The location is =, the hotel itself is clean and quiet, I felt safe on the the property. The staff was so friendly. Finally, the free breakfast, free snacks in the evening, and free drinks-adult drinks...embassy is my new favoriite
Cons: Only thing I found to be lacking was the fact that there is only one way in and out. It would be nice to exit near my room and not walk to the opposite end of building. The elevator was kinda slow, well, maybe not. I can be rather impatient.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean. Breakfast.
Cons: No
9.0 Excellent
Pros: My husband and I were pleasantly surprised at the beautiful renovation this hotel has had since our last stay. The room was more comfortable and quiet. The complementary evening snacks was a nice touch. Everyone staff member we encountered was very pleasant and helpful.
Cons: We had a bit of a wait checking in and obtaining a bell hop. While I like the value of self-parking, this wasn't always convenient for my physically disabled husband. Optional valet parking would be nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Large, nice room
Cons: No
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was delicious. So many options. Location was ok
Cons: The pool. Very loud and humid because its indoors with no outside air coming in.
