-Excellent gym - relaxing pool area with restaurant - bed was comfortable and the linen was crisp and clean - Room was large and nice but felt dated - At checkin, the clerk attempted to up-sell the breakfast and Internet package for $100 per night. Internet should be included in the price I paid, especially as I chose this hotel based on that.
Bfast at Prego The room was a bit damp and floor lamp is switching on/off by itself (annoying during the eve)
Great location, very large rooms and excellent value!!
Friendly welcome, spacious room, good location and quiet room at night for comfortable sleeping. Prompt service to fix minor fault with motorised draw curtains. Some furnishings showing wear and tear for this class of hotel and need upgrading. No free hotel internet computer (only hotel on our entire 3 week trip). I did have a major complaint but this will be taken up directly with the hotel not here but explains my selecting No to the following question.
Wonderful spacious room with king size bed, large marble bathroom with double sinks, tub and separate shower. every morning our we ate at the breakfast buffet, an array of English, Chinese, Japanese and Singaporean favorites, including a personal chef for eggs, an ice cream machine, and plenty of cappuccino or espresso too. Attached to a large shopping mall, and close to the MRT (subway). Nothing, a better value than the Ritz.
Room had great view of city was clean but had to request to move rooms because the first room smelled stale of moldy cigarettes. We were then moved to non smoking and it was worth the inconvenience although the view was less interesting. Staff was aware of stale smell and did help accommodate. Nice bathrooms. Overall architecturally interesting late 80's hotel... Will not return. I am asthmatic so right when we settled in I couldn't stop noticing the stale smell. We also had just landed in SG so tried to check in 30 minutes early and our reservation did not show up until 2 pm. The staff was not the most attentive and the hostess held on to my phone for about 10 minutes.
The hotel is very friendly!! The hotel and rooms are superbly appointed. The staff is very friendly and is always there to help. This is the best Intercontinental brand I have stayed at around the world. And I have stayed at some nice ones in other countries. Try the Cub Lounge. It is worth every penny of the extra cost. Very good way to unwind, eat, have a cocktail, without having to spend Singapore prices. The Club team is very helpful and will make your stay even more Pleasantville. Nil
They were able to relocate me to another room when I requested. The original was too noisy as it overlooked Bugis market. Very comfortable bed and wonderful sheets. Gym sightly disappointing. Would have liked the option of scheduled exercises classes like the hotel I stayed in in Hanoi.
Ambience History People on staff Nothing
The classical style of this more then 100 year old hotel we liked a lot. Staff was very helpful and nice. The TV is old and not many TV Channels. Rates of the hotel are a bit to high.
Very pleasant stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good location. Pleasant ambiance throughout the hotel.
I'm very impressed with the receptionist attitude and service. I think the housekeeping is a little disturbing as they are persistant in asking when can they make up the room.
Amazing location, on a quiet street. The room is superbly clean, and the facilities are very nice.
Very courteous and helpful staff at all levels, Excellent tourist (and business) location
pool i'm not used to the air-con being on all the time, and couldn't figure out how to turn it off.
Staff. They offered us membership which entitled us for complimentary cabled internet access. Staff of Parkroyal on Beach Road was very helpful as well. No complimentary WIFI connectivity for Parkroyal guests, not even in lounge area.
We didn't use any of the facilities other than the rooms as a place to rest. Great central location within walking distance of most areas; if you don't mind walking about a mile to Chinatown, Little India, Arab Street, and Orchard. Two MRT stations within 2-3 blocks (5-10 minutes). A few restaurants, coffee shops, and pubs within one block. This is in a quieter area, no raging parties and noise like Orchard or Clark Quay. Staff was extremely nice and attentive. I would stay here again! No complaints
Walking distance to food court, mrt station and shopping district. Its clean and value for money. Yes, the pillows smell. Please change. Tnx.
