Pros: What was not to like the service was good the people were friendly the food was good the room was clean was an awesome experience can't wait to go back
Cons: Run could have been a little cleaner, it's all in the details
Pros: Staff was excellent! Had a business engagement at the Carolina Hotel and had the opportunity to stay at Carolina Hotel or at the Homewood Suites. I enjoyed my stay and, after review with my peers that stayed in the resort, I'm glad that I stayed there!

Pros: It was exactly as it should be...AND...good breakfast and coffee!
Pros: staff courteous, helpful, hotel convenient to nearby hospital and doctor's office.
Pros: Wonderful breakfast/coffee. Free newspapers. Great exercise room that I used everyday. Friendly staff.
Cons: Only negative was the cleaner they used. It gave me a scratchy throat. Maybe the best thing is a more natural cleaner, etc.
Cons: This did not even live up to the 2.5 Star rating. The staff wasn't rude, just transactional. The bed squeaked and the iron leaked.
Pros: The staff and hotel location. The lady doing breakfast was so nice.
Pros: Morning break fast very good.Excellent highway access. Staff very cordial and willing to be of service when ever asked. We would stay at this hotel next time we visit Pinehurst, NC
Excellent! I was very surprised for the brand name, price, and star rating. This is a much nicer place than you might expect.
Pros: Great place! Spotless, friendly staff, located in the center of everything. Very high ceilings and spacious design.
Cons: As with all hotels, I wish they would take $5 off and do away with the Sam's club prepackaged breakfast.
The hotel was clean and the staff was very nice. The location was ideal for our visit. Enjoy the breakfast. Would definitely stay at this establishment again the next time I was in town.
Pros: The location was ideal for where we were visiting. Having the breakfast available until 9:30am meant I could sleep in a little and not worry about everything being picked over. The price fit into our budget.
Cons: The water pressure in the shower was not that great, but definitely not a make or break in my books.
Hotel was average at best it needs a face lift...requested a King bed got 2 doubles. It was very quite, rest full and the breakfast was awesome. The breakfast was prepared and served on time with a smile which was a plus.
Cons: Smell in the hallways
Pros: Location and price
Cons: Was outdated in decor and blankets and bedspread were very 'worn.'

Cons: Reservations not honored! We had reserved a King bed suite thru Priceline.com. When we arrived at Residence Inn, the staff assigned us to a Queen suite. I informed the staff of our confirmed reservations for a King suite. The staff said that Priceline.com does not guarantee the type room reserved. Furthermore, the suite was an 'Accessible' suite with low-rise sinks, tables, and closet rods. I asked about moving to another King suite and was told that the hotel was booked. We had just driven over 300 miles and it was getting late in the evening, we were tuckered out, so we took the Accessible queen suite. We rated the hotel 'Cleanliness' LOW due to two cockroaches in the suite: one in the master bedroom, one in the living/kitchen area.
Cons: Staff took a long time to help me at the front desk, they were on the phone.
Pros: Never went to the hotel.
Pros: What I expected from a holiday inn express. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Nice touch with two different pillow selections (soft or firm). Housekeeping was good as we stayed for the 3 days.
Cons: Air conditioning in room was loud. Complimentary breakfast was to be expected.
Pros: Efficient check in; very convenient location; very nice room; great breakfast spread; quiet and peaceful atmosphere
Pros: Price. Was fair
Cons: Airvent wS loud and blows curtain out violently enough to wake you abruptly.
Pros: Everything about my experience here at this hotel was amazing. The staff were great, the location was perfect and the free breakfast was delicious.
Pros: Great front desk people and the lady in the breakfast area
Cons: noise between rooms
Pros: This hotel was a quick drive from my conference at Pinehurst. Parking was plentiful, and the room was nice and clean.
Cons: Pay attention as you're driving on 15-501 or you will miss the entrance! The hotel was tucked back from the highway a bit, but I was still woken one night by ambulances and trucks. The check-in process was very slow.
Pros: I arrived later in the night and was greeted by the friendliest staff member. He had already checked to see if I had a Holiday Inn express rewards account! The staff was extremely friendly. Every where I went there was a 'good morning'.
Cons: The food at breakfast was really quite awful :(
Great staff! Very professional and helpful! The room was great! Love the shower!
Pros: The room!
Cons: The pool was kind of small...
Pros: Staff was great. Breakfast had a large variety of choices. Room was large and clean. Slept like a baby in the bed.
Cons: Light bulbs should be brighter. Walls are thin. I could hear the gentleman next door speaking and snoring..
Pros: Nice room and nice people. always have good stays at this marriot.
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: No window shades to keep sun out.
Pros: Huge room that made me feel like I was home.
Cons: Continental breakfast could have used a waffle maker but was fine the way it was.

Cons: Urine, body hair & lack of towels.
Powered eggs for breakfast stunk up the place & sausage patties were a meat substitute of some kind.
Pros: The staff was awesome and super accommodating. Our room was clean although it did have that slightly musky mid-grade hotel air conditioning/cleaner smell when we first walked in. It wasn't terrible... but anyone who's stayed in a hotel or two knows what I mean. Pool was super clean and had nice, new furniture all around. Grounds are kept immaculate and overall the hotel has a nice friendly feel. Good deal for the price. Would definitely stay here again.
The cons pretty much say it all, old, not well kept up, didn't feel clean, tacky fake flowers really just made atmosphere worse. The staff took 15 minutes to check us in - for seemingly no reason- there was no line- no one else waiting it just moved very slowly. Also he told us to take dog to the bathroom back by the dumpster- which has no grass- so puppy didn't like that- but worse the ground was covered in fire ant hills- not a pleasant place to stand. Next morning we called front desk to ask check out time- and in the slowness of check in I was distracted and forgot to ask. After taking a few minutes to 'check' staff says check out at 11am. Then about an hour later someone calls back and asks if we're checking out because because check out is in a half hour. It was a bit annoying and strange.
Pros: accepts pets ( for and additional $20 per pet per night)
Cons: Very old furnishings, rickety beds, thin pillows, poor air circulation/ air had not been turned on in the room for a while- when we turned it ion dust flew out, found a forgotten dog toy on the floor so clearly housekeeping didn't pay much attention
Cons: Parking out back late in evening. Bit insecure feeling.
Pros: Room was neat and clean. Low price location near town center.
Cons: Breakfast was Spartan. Shower stream very weak.
Pros: Rooms were decent
Cons: Bed was broken. Had to move rooms with small children so we didn't get settled for over an hour after check in. No discount or help from employees.
Pros: Good location
Cons: Hotel has paper thin walls and TV from adjacent room was highly audible until 0530.
Pros: The only two good things were the location and the waffles
Cons: the sheets were dirty on arriving and they had no replacement had to go get towels every day and on our last night they didn't even turn down our room at all
Pros: I have always stayed at this hotel once to twice a year (3 to 6 days each year). I use to love my stays until a couple of years back, around the time the new ownership took place. I even bragged on how pleasant my past stays were. Now the hallways and front lobby is hot and stuffy. The towels and wash cloths have obvious yellow and black stains. The toilet and tube has stains and streaks. The maids did not empty the trash cans, did not leave toilet paper, did not leave shampoo and bath soap. This last visit was my stay until they improve. Also the shower curtain was mounted too close to the tube and by it being so cheap it would just draw into my body once the water was turned on.
Cons: Front desk staff and Frosted Flakes as part of the breakfast menu.
Pros: The staff was very friendly. The room was very clean.
Pros: Staff, food and golf course are all excellent. Especially the staff! So helpful and so friendly.
Cons: The facility is in need of a major updating. I'm sure that their is a desire to stick with the historic preservation, but the key word would be preservation. It really needs major work, and it would be a beautiful place again.
