We showed up and the company tacked on $250 worth of additional fees and insurances. We had not budgeted for that. We were quoted $230 and paid $470. It was absolutely unbelievable. Additionally, the car was mediocre at best. Will not be renting with this company again.Reviewed Apr 19 2026

The staff at the Thrifty car rental office were helpful. The car I rented was in the worst shape of any car I have ever rented from any rental company. There were numerous dents, scratches on the exterior and stains on the interior seats. There appeared to be two spare tires on the rental car.Reviewed Feb 18 2026

The customer service was great. I think the young lady that helped me name was Evelyn. She was very nice and professional. She answered my questions. The rental process was easy. The only improvement would be to improve maintenance on the vehicles. The wiper blades were worn out. This can be dangerous when it rains and driving in St. Thomas.Reviewed Apr 26 2024

Pros:The fact that I got a car. The drop off was much smoother than pick up, staff who drove us to the airport for our departure was very nice.Cons:We showed up with lots of people waiting for cars after never receiving a shuttle ride from the airport as advertised. We then waited outside for an hour to receive a dirty car that was apparently the last one they had available. We had rented out a truck or similar car, however we’re told they do not offer that vehicle ever (we did see a truck parked in the lot). We received a dirty van that was very beat up and went on our way just happy to have received a car.Reviewed May 12 2021
