Pros:The customer service person picked up the phone every time I called.
Cons:This was a very disappointing experience, pretty shocking actually. I showed up to pick up my car rental at the agreed time and first of all the agent showed up at the counter 90 minutes later. Then he told me that the vehicle I was assigned apparently was kept by the previous customer without notice and therefore I'd need to wait for a couple of hours and they would find another car for me. After repeated follow up calls I was just being told each time that no other vehicle (any category) was available and basically "don't call us, we'll call you when we have a solution". Needless to say that a solution was never found. I ended up stuck in Mexico city and had to travel to Acapulco by bus 2 days later thereby losing 2 out of the 5 nights I had booked... Bottom line I will never try to do anything with Thrifty car ever again and frankly I don't think they care much...

Cons:I paid more than was indicated in reservation Pick up was slow!!!! Only one person attending when there were customers waiting Not the car I asked for Car was old, not in good condition (brakes screeched , wipers too)

Pros:The vehicle worked
Cons:The total price for my rental was $212 US, but they tried to charge me $535 for insurance!! I explained that I have my own insurance that covers me on all vehicles or any incidents of any kind, but they tried to say I was not allowed to decline their insurance, even though I provided proof of having my own!! After 2 hours of arguing, finally they suggested they pull up the Thrifty policies regarding this online. I read them and it clearly stated that insurance was recommended, but optional. After 2 hours of arguing I finally got the car for the listed price, but they did also insist on my signing a blank piece of paper stating that I agree to pay for any and all damages listed above. Mordita!!!!
