Pros:I wish I got the name of the employee who helped me at the Dallas (near DFW) location! Thrifty was closed when I got there so I had to go to the Dollar Rent a Car location. I was traveling by myself with two three year olds. After doing all the paperwork, he helped me carry the two car seats to the rental car, loaded my luggage and helped me strap in the car seats. He went above and beyond good customer service and made the end of a long, tiring travel day MUCH easier. I was given a brand new small SUV and it was great with two kids.
Pros:The single young lady who was working the morning (@ 7am) of May 8 did her best to handle the surge of travelers waiting to get their rental car. There were approximately 25-35 people waiting while I was in line. Also... I want the individual working the Hertz station in the garage to be given an award. MR. Thomas B (I cannot recall just last name)...when I explained my situation trying to get to a college graduation that was starting in 50 minutes....took the initiative to provide me excellent customer service as an individual. Customer service that Dollar/Thrifty FAILED TO DELIVER AS A COMPANY.!!!
Cons:It would have been nice to have had at least two people working the morning of 8 May. Due to the lack of proper staffing, I almost MISSED my niece's COLLEGE GRADUATION!!!!

Cons:Dirty, no review of condition, agent pushed hard for expensive insurance

Pros:Horrible staff and they charged me $400 for fuel charges. I filled up the tank before dropping off the car. It did not make any sense.
Cons:When we picked up the car the associate at the rental counter would not let us rent the car without supplemental insurance. She said it is a requirement in Texas, which it is not. We had to pay for the additional coverage get the car. When we arrived home we called the thrifty 800 number and the associate on the phone confirmed that we were NOT required to buy the supplemental coverage. But we had to drive back to the rental agency to sort it out for a refund and be assigned a different car. It was an unnecessary hassle.
Cons:Lots of hidden charges. It'll double your bill.
Pros:Easy pickup and drop off
Cons:I canceled this rental. Cost was excessive, so I found alternative transportation.
Pros:I had to cancel this reservation, but Thrifty was very good prior to cancellation.
