10.0 Wonderful
Pros:Great service and car. I hate renting cars because of some terrible experiences in the past. I have only good things to say about Thrifty in Reykjavik.
Cons:No complaints
A
8.0 Very good
Pros:Got prompt service. Staff was courteous. Car immediately available. Purchased Damage wavier in advance. For $9.
Cons:Not enough time to enjoy our brief stay. Finding location to fill tank was confusing
A
10.0 Wonderful
Pros:We got there and they had a name printed on a sign ready for a shuttle. They have free wifi and average coffee in their office which is a 2 min walk from the airport doors on airport property. Shuttle was unnecessary but we only had two people, each with a backpack and duffle bag. Car was equipped with an emergency phone and they give maps. OLIS and OB gas stations offer thrifty customers free wifi at their locations and thrifty has its own emergency helpline besides the standard police number of 112. They quickly checked the car and gave us the keys. Same with drop off. I don't think they take Discover Credit Card/Diners Club (as its called in europe-check back of your card). The employees dont show emotion. Its efficient. Not rude not polite. I totally reccomend going here. Also get a 4x4 car. Ford Kuga was simply amazing and worry free.

Pros:The cars were in excellent condition, the staff was very helpful and the prices were also excellent.
A
4.0 Mediocre
Pros:It's clean
Cons:Receive a smaller car than requested.

9.2 Wonderful
Pros:the Mazda CX3 was able to handle al the non paved roads we took to reach the obscure sight seeing locations in Iceland
Cons:the visibility on the passenger side, and back window isnt great. the defroster isnt very strong, it needed to be on max heat with the upper body vents closed to defrost the front window.
C
9.6 Wonderful
Pros:car was perfect, snow tires were recommended and were very helpful! staff was great with warnings and weather and all information
Cons:the premium insurance was very expensive but I do not regret getting it as the conditions were very extreme. It would be great to have some kind of road service feature for people, we were fine but we did see cars along the way that needed help, not sure if this exists but it would be good for people and we would have got it
A
2.0 Poor
Cons:Careful. Kayak gives an incorrect pickup location all the way across the city from the real location, and doesn't stand behind their reservations. I lost a deposit and had to pay double as we were sent to the wrong location and being in a foreign country didn't have cell service.
A
10.0 Wonderful
Pros:Staff were very accommodating
P
2.0 Poor
Cons:I rented a "full sized passenger van" through www.kayak.com, and the rental confirmation pictured a Ford Transit 8-passenger van. The agents at Thrifty Reyjkyavik stalled and stalled, and then after an hour they told me they didn't have a full-sized van but only a 5-passenger Citroen with two "jumper" seats in the cargo space. We had seven full-sized adults and couldn't fit. It devastated our travel plans, and Thrifty Reykjavik made very little effort to correct the situation. Thrifty blamed the situation on Kayak. Apparently, the communication is not good. I was very dissatisfied with the experience and cannot rent Thrifty (or Kayak, to the extent it had something to do with the problem.)
