Cons:Airline routed us to a different airport in the same city. When we asked iBudget to honor our reservation, they offered us a new, higher rate. (Our earlier rate had included the extra cost of returning to a different airport; the new cost quoted was even higher, despite that we now wanted to pick up and return at the same airport.) We went with a different company and were quite happy. I would not reserve a car with Budget again.
Cons:I was charged for multiple extra days because I used an after hours key drop. This is in the process of getting worked out (hopefully), but has created a major headache.
Pros:- Upon arrival, I was upgraded to a bigger SUV - The car was brand new and a pleasure to drive - The attendant at the pickup location was highly informative and gave us good advice on additional add-ons. - The cost was less than similar cars offered by alternative rental shops. With the upgrade, the value was far superior. - Drop-off inspection was swift and they got us in an out of the office in less than 15 minutes.
Cons:- The pickup process was a bit slow and the car was not located in it's designated spot in the parking lot. - Drop off was a little confusing as the directions to the rental place on the car's GPS were not correct. These were minor inconveniences and did not detract from the experience as a whole.
Pros:The car was reliable and easy.
Cons:The option to pain in US dollars was at a ripoff exchange rate which they defaulted to without asking my preference. I went back to fix it. Adding on the Insurance and a GPS almost tripled our total.
Cons:The representative was a bit rude. although the tank was full, he insisted that I will add another 6-7 liters to the tank.
Cons:Window was broken and wouldnt roll up. With heavy winds and 30 degrees outside, this was not ideal. Since it took 2.5 hrs waiting in line to get the car i prebooked, and since rhe airport was 45 min away, i didnt have any time to return the car on my short stopover or i would have missed the time window to see beautiful iceland. Instead i had to spend more money and book a driver. The car had not been cleaned on the inside either.
Pros:Friendly Service
Cons:Hidden fees - ended up paying over double ($858 USD for 4.5 days). They frozen multiple amounts of money on my credit card making funds unavailable. Staff were friendly but very slow procedures - I waiting in line for 50min (only 4 people in front of me).
Pros:Van was in good condition Drop off was quick and efficient
Cons:Pick up was extremely slow even though very few people in line. After rental concluded, Budget added multiple undisclosed fees and surcharges. Called billing department and they said there was nothing that could be done and no escalation or complaint process. I should just accept the additional 10-20% of charges and move on. I've renteed cars dozens of times and not had a company do this. I recommend you avoid Budget and use another provider.
Pros:Wifi in the car. It was fun. Worth the up charge.
Cons:It was abut pricey.
Pros:Car was clean, reliable, fuel efficient and a great value. Dropoff was a breeze.
Cons:Pickup was difficult as there was a line out the door and even though we were the second people in line, it still took 20+ minutes of waiting.
