Pros: I really liked this hotel and want to visit again. The rooms were nice, decor was tasteful, and in room amenities quality. I booked the room last minute for a one night stay, but intend to return. Menu and cocktails at the hotel restaurant (Poets) were delightful. the front desk staff were friendly, attentive, and professional.
Cons: The service at Poets was very slow, it appeared there was only one server on that shift, and he was overwhelmed, but the delays were unacceptable. I was also surprised that the hotel does not appear to offer express check out through the TV. I haven't checked out in person from a hotel in years unless there was a problem. However, this was definitely mitigated by very attentive front desk staff -- checkout was a breeze.

Pros: The Mount Vernon boasts a great location; clean, comfortable (but nothing too luxurious) rooms; a very helpful staff; and a free breakfast every morning-- all at a terrific value for how close it gets you to Inner Harbor and all that downtown Baltimore has to offer. This is not the perfect hotel, but it can't be beat for the value!
Cons: There are a number of problems to consider when booking at the Mount Vernon. Parking is difficult, especially if you arrive late (our drive to Baltimore got us in after 3); there is a parking garage across the street, but it is closed overnight; and there is an open-air parking lot two blocks away. Parking is fairly inexpensive in these lots, but some travelers may not be comfortable with these options. Accommodations are also sparse; the rooms are comfortable, but not big, and there were small problems for the staff to remedy. For example, the hair dryer in our room was broken and seemed unsafe for use. Lastly, the free breakfast that is offered is not that good. They provide coffee, tea, juices, cereal, yogurt, breakfast breads, and some hot options, like eggs, grits, and hash browns. The hot options were not always available on time, and were uniformly underwhelming. But, it is free, which makes it more difficult to complain.

I've stayed at 2 other hotel chains in the last year and was not impressed, but the Hampton renewed my faith in having an enjoyable stay at a hotel! The main area was beautifully decorated and super clean. Upon going up to the room, the elevator and hallways were also just as clean. The room was better than I expected. I loved that we didn't have a connecting door to another room and the only noise we heard was in the late morning when people were checking out and talking in the hallways. The room felt very crisp and fresh and the bathroom was very nice. The bed was super plush and I definitely did not want to get up to leave! Any future stay in a hotel, I will look first to the Hampton Inn & Suites :)

Pros: We stayed at the Residence Inn for a weekend. This is a solid hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean, and breakfast is complimentary; overall, a good value for the money. My only complaint is that the hotel staff knocked on our door around 9 am on our checkout day. I still don't understand the purpose for this; I found it annoying. Other than that minor issue, we had a wonderful stay!
Cons: When we arrived we had to wait 45 minutes in the lobby while I sat on hold with Kayak. Apparently there was an issue with Kayaks credit card. We had to eat in the lobby and my guests were fussy and the front desk couldn't even fix the issue. She had to call out for outside help. Unacceptable.

Pros: Would definitely recommend. Very happy with room (comfortable, clean, had just about everything we could need) and overall value (especially compared to other options available, plus the free breakfast). Staff was friendly and helpful.
Less great: location was in the corner of a large shopping center - took a few minutes (and u-turns) to find the correct entrance, which you can't see from the main road.
Only one elevator seemed to be working, and it was slow and stuffy.
No cold tap water during the night, only warm. (Didn't ask the front desk about it, because that would've woken up the person I was staying with.)
And mini-fridge's temp was too warm for it to be really useful (again, didn't ask the front desk; didn't seem worth it).
Super-minor quibbles that the staff couldn't have done anything about: while the (free!) breakfast was pretty much as expected, I'd have appreciated healthier options; and there's no way to close the hotel rooms' doors quietly. (Like I said, no big deal.)

Pros: This "Days Inn" is in very good condition. The lobby is beautiful, The night staff are kind and accommodating, And the room is well equipped.

Pros: Days Inn is crossing the street from the Convention Center. It has lots of food places nearby. Also, Cardem Yards is 3-5 minutes away (walking distance). Location is perfect for a walk. Furthermore, Light trail from the Airport to Cardem Yards is just $1.70 per person, or so.

Pros: Convenience was the main thing. The restaurant had an adequate buffet. Much cheaper than most buffets in the Inner Harbor. The staff was friendly, helpful and engaging. The rooms were clean and roomy. The cost was very good. I booked these rooms on Booking.com and they cost me $112.00 per night per room. There was nothing else comparable in the Inner Harbor close to that price.

Cons: Disappointed/shocked with the hotel upkeep. Specifically, the 5th floor hallway carpet along the entire length. The Westin is known for having a high standard in cleanliness and appearance.

All hours...they were loud and tracking water all over the lobby since they were running from the pool and then into the lobby and then back to the pool. Develop a system to let guests know if large groups of kids are staying at the hotel.

Cons: When I booked the hotel it stated, high speed WiFi and complimentary breakfast. NOPE!!!!! You have to pay $12.49 for the WiFi and we thought the breakfast was COMPLIMENTARY but half was through eating and nice lady put a $39 bill on our table. I asked the reception "that I thought the breakfast was complimentary" they told me that only when you upgrade your room when booking it's free. Well don't be fooled because I was. My conformation says complimentary breakfast, but they told me my room did not come with it! The only reason I booked this hotel was it had great reviews and the WiFi and free breakfast. Let's just say lesson learned and I won't be returning!! If WiFi and free breakfast is a want like it was for me, this hotel is not for you!

Cons: I waited on hold for over six minutes to find out where to pick up the airport shuttle, and ended up taking a taxi to the hotel because the shuttle took a long time. The staff did not tell me that you had to sign up for the morning shuttle in advance, but luckily I overheard someone else signing up and asked about it.

Dinner fare at the restaurant was reasonably priced and of higher quality than I would have suggested.

Cons: This hotel had the worst service I've ever had. The overbooked a co-workers room, and charged a room to the incorrect credit card. The front desk service was impatient and impolite. We will not be staying at this hotel again.

Cons: First and foremost, we checked in relatively early in the evening, but since we booked online, my wife and I got a handicap room. If that was not enough, this room has some flying bugs (they looked like moths) that were flying throughout. After asking to be moved to another room, I was told that no accommodations could be made. The bed was fair from comfortable and the bathtub completely backed up while showering. Not to mentioned, there were a number of what appeared to be pubic hairs that lined the bathroom floor. When I complained the next morning (we tried to leave but everything around us was booked in other hotels), we were met with very little interest in fixing the situation. From start to finish, it was the worse experience. I have ZERO desire to stay at this facility EVER again.

Cons: I was Here on business and went outside for a smoke break and in the middle of the night a few black men tried and rob me and I tried to defend myself and I was latterly jumped by a group and there was no one at the hotel that helped me .
I can't believe they would allow such horrible activities and behavior in front of the hotel with no one there willing to help protect their customers.
And than I asked for a security tape to see why and how it all happen and their response was they know nothing.
How can you let such hateful and violent things happen as letting your customers get hurt and no one there to help protect the people who stay at the hotel.
I see the staff and people at the hotel can care less what happens at the hotel or outside their front door.
I can't believed they had the nerves to tell me I'm still being charged for the room for 3 days after the same night I showed up I was in the emergency room till the next morning and they had the nerve to still charge me .

I was in the emergency room with a broken nose and broken rib cage and no one wanted to help me . They practically just looked the other way.
If that's how hotels operate and let their customers get hurt and possible killed than I will never rent and or be a client for that hotel ever .

Pros: Upon check in, Ashlie greeted us and made sure we were well taken care of. Our West Point cadet was to meet us and she saw to it that he would not have to sleep on the ground as wel were previously told by front desk when I previously called. A big hug to Ashlie for being so kind and making our stay very comfortable and easy.
Pros: Valet service for 30 a day was best option for parking and staff was prompt.
Cons: The furniture was ripped. Down comforter was ripped. Bottom of toilet was dirty. Room was by an alley so was a nosey Monday morning with trash pick up. No need for a Wakeup call that's for sure. And could smell exhaust fumes in room that morning as well.

After 5 days it posted. 3 days later I am still waiting for it to be returned. They said it should be back by tomorrow at the latest. Probably an honest mistake but a bit of a pain.
