They asked for volunteers to check their bags and I volunteered and when I made a connecting flight to Kauai (final stop Oahu which is a 35 min flight) I tried to switch my flight to an earlier one because I realized That I had a four hour layover before my 35 min flight -_- and they said that I would have been able to but since I checked my carry on I couldn't. And they said it was because my bag would get there much later than me - which I was upset about but understood. Fast forward 4 1/2 hours later and I land on Oahu. My bag is sitting at the terminal because it came over on a plane that got there before me. Totally unhappy - I fly to California and back almost every month and I've never had an experience like this"

Well, they decided to move up my connector such that I had 25 minutes to run across 2 terminals. They only give you pretzels on the plane, and a single soda drink. They offer you "food bundles" but why do I want to pay $8 for a sandwich that costs $1 to make."

Volunteer was totally unfazed but Desk crew made it seem as tho the Muslim mom was at fault for the time and trouble they had had to go through to accommodate her. She apologized profusely and was very appreciative for the trouble evernote had gone to for her. . As she walked away the crew looked at each other and shook their heads. Pretty crummy way to treat customers!"

The delays were out of our control causing us to not only miss our flight, but also caused us to have to spend more money to stay at a hotel in Phoenix since the next flight available was not until the morning. Cons: "Delayed departure from PHX by more than one hour; no beverages provided to first class passengers after boarding and inspite of delayed departure; first class flight attendant did not recognize that I had preordered my meal entree nor did he ever call me by name as an Elite Platinum member. The aircraft leather seat back 1F was torn leather, showing signs of poor maintenance of the interior cabin. No electric outlets at seat for recharging portable electronic devices."

I quickly and effectively commandeered the middle screen (for flight information) and underseat storage to provide extra leg room in front of me. The flight attendants on my side of the plane were all friendly and wonderful."

The food, not terrible, was simply par for an airline. There was also a rather heated discussion between a flight attendant and a passenger on the opposite side of the plane from me."

All that NOTHING" service and for very high fees.I got suckered into paying a lot extra for premium Economy. The Premium was the extra money they stole. The Economy was the new definition of bare bones."

Cons: "No built in personal entertainment for a 12 hour flight. If you had already downloaded the United app, you could connect a personal device to their wifi for free and watch from there (if you didn't download the app prior to takeoff, you were screwed). Also, no USB charging outlets were available. I live in Korea and don't have an American style outlet to connect to a USB, so my devices died. The provided tiny aisle TV which played programmed shows and movies kept freezing, skipping, and turning off. Entertainment is usually the saving grace for budget int'l flights, whose food, service, and comfort can be expected to suck. Next time I'll shell out for Korean Air or Asiana."

Cons: "Even in first class, it was clear United doesn't care about repairing anything that won't keep the plane from flying. The entertainment console was damaged to the point it wouldn't even fit back together and none of the headphone jacks were operational on an 8 hour flight. We were also understandably delayed by a medical emergency onboard but United saw fit to further inconvenience the entire plane of passengers by searching the cargo hold for the the deplaned passengers luggage long after they were gone, rather than send it back on the next return flight. The crew said the decision came from corporate and clearly thought it was as ridiculous as we did. Given that United was valuing this seat at well over $2k, I think it's reasonable to expect the amenities to be in good repair."

Pros: "It took an additional 45 min to leave the gate after boarding and then when we landed it took an hour to taxi to the gate. THEN when I got my bags I had to walk to another gate, but the underground train was not in use since it was too late. I have to walk on a boot because of an Achilles injury... It was horrible. I didn't get to my car until an hour and a half AFTER getting my bags. I left Phoenix at 7pm and didn't get to my apartment until 2am. And I had to get up for an 8am meeting the next day. I will say the crew on the flight was amazing and upbeat- they made the trip!"
Pros: "I traveled on dec. 25th this year and was a little worried about making it to Jersey in time for a party. I boarded plane planning on worse case and landed finding myself in best case situation,on time and safe. The female end where u put the headphone plug had something jammed in it so I watched watever my neighbor was watching and clued together what they were saying in the movie. Needless to say I was bored out of my mind and my stomach was not very happy with me. Hopefully my flight in 9 days is a lot better."

As I walked on the plane there were many open seats I could have sat at. But those who paid more money and the standbys got those seats. I do not like United preference of people.
