I'm pretty sure the connecting flight waited for us to make it and the crew on the LAX flight tried to expedite those with VERY short connection off the plane as quickly as possible."

The electric outlets at each of our first class seats were not functional, both the USB ports and the electric plugs did not work so we were not able to charge our phones during the flight. When I mentioned this to the flight attendant her response was that she had not received a report that the electric was not working. No other assistance was offered. There was very little legroom even though these were sold as first class seats. The plane was old and dirty, the armrests were sticky."

A pleasant flight overall with my first impression being an airline with current popular music playing in the background and flight attendants cheerful. Since I was traveling alone, I opted to not purchase my seat prior to my flight date, instead I chose my aisle seat within 24 hours for free. I checked in my one bag and found out I had pre-checked so my security check went so smooth at the new terminal 2 at LAX. Looking forward to my flight back on June 15."

Pros: "On the flight from LAX to MSP, one flight attendant was very nice and gave us extra cookies to make up for her rude coworkers' attitudes."
Cons: "I'm almost 6', and my boyfriend is 6'6". He has had 7 major knee surgeries, and life-threatening blood clots, which left major post-surgery vascular scarring. He gets major swelling, even with his compression sleeve. The up-charge to reserve exit row seats was over $100/person for both flights home. Luckily they were still available when boarding, and the nice desk clerk moved our seats for free. However, the rude flight attendance would not allow my boyfriend to elevate his leg and prop it anywhere, even after I explained his medical condition. Allowing the blood pooling increases his risk for clot formation, and it causes him extreme pain. I spent the majority of the flight massaging his leg, trying to push the blood and fluid back up. His ankle swelled around his compression sleeve, and finally he had to lay in the floor and put his leg up on the seat. The attendants told him "the best thing for you to do is to walk around for 10 minutes per hour." No, the best thing for him to do is elevate his leg and rest, not try to walk around a tiny, cramped plane, and elevate his stress level. Flight attendants need to be more aware and accommodating for these type situations, and exit rows need to be available for people who need them as far as size and medical needs require. It is not ethical to charge extra for handicap accommodations, neither is it ethical to charge extra for size and medical accommodations. These factors are not optional, and should not be billed as a luxury."

Pros: "Excellent from curb to curb 5minutes- curb drop off and check in w curbside skycab, one bag and one bike case! 8minutes - thru TSA! Flight comfort, food,drinks, cleanliness - excellent! The time it took to walk to baggage, my bag was in the carousel and my bike case was at the oversize location, 20ft from the carousel. I was there to compete in the XTerra World Championships, you couldn't ask for a better stress free flight and service, Thanks!"

Food was subpar for an AA flight, especially international. Entertainment system has many defects and problems, for example "search" is useless. Uninspiring and forgettable film choices as well. The knob to control air flow was broken which made it chilly. To finish as I started, a more engaged and pleasant crew could have made all the other things more palpable and acceptable. They were just too cold, like the temperature in the cabin and distant."

My wife, 2 year old son, and I was boarding at the gate and they couldn't scan my son's boarding pass. They quickly went over to the computer station and gave my son another pass. We went to our seats and found out someone else is in our 2year old seat. Apparently they gave the seat to someone else at the last second because up to the point when I printed our boarding passes at the kiosk, our seats were still together (and I paid $41/per seat extra to try to keep us together). The other customer was nice enough to switch with our son so were able to stay together at the last min so it goes to show AA priority and service."

The check in process was a stressful mess: we were forced to stand in long customer service lines both on our first flight from LAX to Chicago and again during our very short layover in Chicago to Dublin to ensure that our bags were checked all the way to our final destination. Very stressful, and it didn't help that the gate crew was extremely rude and unprofessional. It is very inconvenient that we could not choose our seats beforehand."

Cons: "Delayed 5.5 hours at LAX. Boarded on time, waited at gate for 1.5 hours and then had to get off. During our delay waiting for a 1st Officer, the Captain times out. NO BACKUP CAPTAINS or 1st OFFICERS AT LAX? Then miraculously during our 3rd hour waiting for a Captain they discovered the 1st Officer was going to time out. So, rather than KNOW this while searching for a Captain, they waited for 3 hours and then had to find a 1st Officer to fill in. Result 2.5 more hours of delay. Even the Flight crew was in disbelief on this one. I think we should all get reimbursed and triple miles for this snafu. Not weather or mechanical - just poorly managed time -- BY A MAJOR AIRLINE - INEXCUSABLE!"

Cons: "First class was awful- no drink service for far too long, didn't have my food order that I selected ahead of time, the female asian flight attendant was not friendly at all, the seat reclined at the back only there was nothing for your feet, the blankets were awful, and movie selection was mediocre at best."

Cons: "Fight was operated by American. Alaska forced to wait in line and see assistance, then inform that because the flight is operated by American, they won't be able to check me in. Had to walk to a different terminal of LAX wait in 2 more lines and by the time they were able to assist it was too late to check in. Missed the flight, have to rebook a 3 hour later departure, move the meeting and take a flight back 4 hours later that has a layover and adds about 2.5 hours more on the return leg. Not to mention having to pay for the new seat."

Cons: "Becasue I was in boarding group 8, I was advised to again check my carry-on bag. When I boarded (almost the last person to do so), there was an empty overhead compartment directly across from my seat. I had to wait 30-40 minutes at the carousel to collect this carry-on bag. I could have just gone directly to my car as I had no other checked bags. Very poor service. I will avoid booking with American Airlines in the future."

Cons: "Bags that are told will be planeside end up being sent to tne final destination and no tags are given to the riders to let them know beforehand. Workers at counters were very rude."

When we got to the gate he announced the crew had timed out and that we should take our things and get down to wait for more information. Once at the gate we were told they were trying to put a new crew together for us, including the pilot. While we waited they did provide good quality deli food for us. I appreciate the food but the 5 hour delay, I did not appreciate."

Pros: "Our 'lullaby flight' was not completely full, so that made things nice, but what really made our day after being tired from traveling and finally getting on this flight was the steward. I don't know his name, but he's most likely one of American Airline's most senior stewards. His grey hair did not stop him from being one of the most positive and funny people to lighten up a flight. Thank you!"

Cons: "LATAM deboarded me from the flight after I had boarded. They claimed American had cancelled my reservation because they did not think I would make my connection. I ran in order to make it and then instead of offering me information on the next flight they left me stranded with instructions to find American. Terrible, terrible customer service. I will think twice before booking a LATAM flight again."

I got on the plane and had to wait for the other two passengers get up and step into the aisle so I could take my window seat. I was in group 7 and apparently they were in a lower number group that was allowed to board before me."

Boarding was announced in 5 minutes so lines were formed and we boarded 35 minutes later as we had to wait for one extra cabin crew member. We got charged toe all our bags (see SWA). There was human waste in the bathroom."

Cons: "This flight was delayed by several hours, so I was concerned that I might miss my connecting flight in Denver. I could have flown through any other city en route to Raleigh, so it was frustrating that Frontier would not do anything for me until I got to Denver, because the risk was extremely high that I would miss the last flight out of Denver. Fortunately, Frontier decided to hold the connecting flight so that people on this flight could make their connection. HOWEVER, I landed a few hours later in CHARLOTTE, NC. Apparently Frontier had not checked my ticket when I boarded the wrong plane. My ticket clearly indicated that I was supposed to be on the flight to Raleigh. From Charlotte, there was an American Airlines flight that I could have transferred to--something that every other airline I've flown has done under these circumstances. But Frontier told me they don't put passengers on other airlines' flights, so I had to wait another couple of hours to catch Frontier's next flight to Raleigh. Throughout the whole process, it was very frustrating because for hours while I waited at LAX, I couldn't find a single Frontier employee. I even had to wait at ticketing when I arrived at the airport, not because of a line but because there was no one from Frontier at the counter. All of this suggests to me that Frontier just doesn't care. They don't care enough to be at the airport in case passengers have problems like this. They don't care enough to avoid missed connections by putting people on different flights. They don't care enough to make sure passengers are getting on the correct flights."

Cons: "Pretty much everything else. I checked in online - where they clearly state that there will be a bag drop for prepaid checked luggage. There was not. Instead there were three people behind the counter (only two were actually taking anyone from the long line) - who seemed completely confused. They at least knew that the gate had changed, but they didn't know where it had been changed to. I found it. It then proceeded to change 3 more times. The final change was not announced, we all just followed another passenger who had seen the change listed on the airport departure screen. The final gate was "39" a door in a hallway that opened up onto a tarmac. We waited there about 30 minutes (after the scheduled boarding time) before the door opened. They had no scanner for passes, so the attendant had to write things down on paper when we showed him our passes!! The actual cabin is tight, but that's to be expected. What wasn't expected was the random turning off and on of overhead lights throughout the (red-eye) flight. It was like a torture technique. To round out this great experience, the flight attendant instructed us to de-board the plane in order. Row 1 (left side) then row 1 (right), etc. This clearly pissed off many passengers who had no carry-on luggage and could have just walked off while those with stuff in overheads waited. When I finally got to exit the plane, I heard a guy somewhere behind me say "f-you" to the crew as they gave us the traditional "have a good day". We all felt the same, just didn't say so."

They replaced their humane, padded chairs with these ultra slim hard plastic ones that don't recline so you're stuck sitting at a 90 degree angle with basically no padding so they can fit more seats on the plane with tiny tray tables. I'd like to see the CEO spend a couple of hours in one these. I'll never fly Frontier again because they've completely lost touch with the concept of treating customers with dignity."

Cons: "Frontier has way too many fees, fees to check bags, carry on bags and to pick a seat. I would rather pay extra in the beginning to avoid the hassle of juggling all the fees while checking in. Also the staff at LAX was no where to be found during boarding. I needed to speak with somene regarding my flight and there was no one around to assist and that may have taken part in me missing my flight."

Cons: "It was inconceivable to me that you would have to pay for your seat on the plane, after having purchased a ticket, and pay for water on a flight.:-("

Pros: "Biggest negative? Charged me 30 dollars to check my luggage, tossed it around so much that a bottle of scotch broke all over the contents, leaving me nothing to give as gift and nothing to wear . When I asked the representative at the airport what she could do about it, she said, "oh those things happen. " Not planning to go with Frontier again."

Pros: "Sort of cheap"
Cons: "Cheap at every level. Makes you feel unsafe. Are they cutting on cheap pilots too?"

Cons: "Charged me 60 dollars per carry on so I had to leave one of bags in the airport. Didn't exactly advertise that to us because we would have changed or canceled my flight, which is another way of saying that Frontier mislead us into buying their flight. Never flying frontier again."

Pros: "The horror started in LA standing for over an hour before a ticket employee came to check us in and take our bags. To my surprise she was the same person checking our tickets as we got unto the plane. In addition, the seats on the plane do not recline and they serve expensive junk food boxes and drinks. Nothing nutritional on their food menu."

Cons: ""Upgraded" to the most uncomfortable seat I've ever flown in. Expensive checked and carry on. Flight attendants were all extremely rude and unprofessional - spent the entire flight ignoring the passengers and clustered at the front of the plane complaining about coworkers. The flight attendants were doing much of their work by flashlight - seemed very substandard. No welcome. No goodbyes. It was clear that they had disdain for the clients. No food or beverage service. Will never consider Frontier again."

Cons: "Charging for soda and carry-ons, I'm surprised you guys are still in business. I will avoid Frontier like the plague."

Cons: "Newer but very hard seats. I'm 6'2" and the seats didn't recline and my knees were hitting the seat in front of me...a lot. On a red eye flight, this was torturous. The seat backs did not go high enough for my head either. The flight was delayed 40 minutes as well."

Cons: "Sent everyone to the wrong baggage claim and then told us the right one over the PA system and we turn around and all the bags had been sitting there unattended without anyone's notice and in complete chaos."

Cons: "Frontier cancels my flight due to weather and told me they couldn't get me home until 12/19. I had to purchase another last minute ticket from another airline, find another hotel and it was all extremely costly. Terrible customer service and no one seemed to care that I was stuck in la with no way home. Ironically enough- the next flight out with frontier was nearly on time and delivered passengers back to Denver only a couple of hours after me."

Pros: "The second crew that rescued us in the morning, particularly the fa's, we're warm and friendly. The captain the making announcements was hilarious."
Cons: "At first our flight was delayed 2 1/2 hrs. We waited patiently to board only to hear an announcement that our flight would be cancelled due to the crew timing out per DOT regulations. This announcement was made right before we all expected to board which caused most passengers to become very upset and frustrated. The flight was pushed back 5 1/2 hrs and all we were offered for compensation was a $10 voucher and a pointless hotel stay voucher! I did not take the hotel voucher bc I would have never made it aboard the later fight. Doesn't Frontier know that the flight crew would be over their time limit when they scheduled the flight??? Some simple foresight could have went a long way in this case. It was a mess to say the least!"

Cons: "My flight was cancelled 4 hours before departure. This was the Friday night before Memorial Day weekend, departing one of the busiest airports in the country. I was traveling home for a funeral. The only other flight to the east coast that got me to the funeral on time cost $1800. Spirit Airlines made no attempt to help me book on another airline after their next flight was 24 hours later and would have caused me to miss the funeral."

All 200 passengers were sent down to ticket counter where most of us waited for 5 hours or better bc they were understaffed and EVERY person who walked away was very upset. Wouldn't refund all of fares people paid and many of us couldn't get onto other flights. I have never experienced any thing like it in all my years of travel. Was at airport for 7 hours. Unacceptable! Dispicable. Was my first and last experience w Spirit."

Cons: "On my way back the flight was cancelled. The whole process of getting another flight was not smooth. I had to carry a bunch of bags all the way to nearly the other end of LAX (huge airport) by myself, then I had to rush to catch my flight because the ticket was not received by American Airlines until less than an hour before the flight (I arrived over two hours early). Also why did I not receive advanced notification the flight was cancelled?"

Cons: "I got an e-mail a couple of hours before my flight saying that the flight was cancelled. However, this was not so. There was nobody from Spirit at the gate giving information, I had to find someone in another gate who was absolutely not nice with customers and just said the flight was OK but did not provide any explanation for the cancellation e-mail. Pretty bad experience at the airport."

Cons: "The flight attendants weren't very friendly. I overheard one day she doesn't know why people get on the plane and then use the lavatory right away. How about this is a possibility, your flight was delayed 25 minutes and we were in line waiting to board so after we got on the plane and got situated we needed to use the restroom. Maybe she was just having a bad day."

Cons: "paying $50 each way for a bag. thought I was getting a good deal on the round trip ticket from NY to Myrtle beach. not so much."

The new planes have no seats that recline even though your take off and landing instructions call for having see in full upright position. It is always in that uncomfortable position. And the tray tables are way too small. you can't fit anything on there except a glass. For someone who travels often Spirit Airlines would definitely be my last choice. I definitely wouldn't recommend this airine to anyone."

Additionally, when I talked to customer support, they offered no help and had no idea what was actually happening so they made up a lie instead. - As it turns out, our flight was delayed, multiple times... with only one notification of those delays posted - The pilot for our flight was missing, however, the pilots for the flight after were both at the gate - When the pilot arrived, the flight attendants were missing - Just before entering the runway, we stopped and were informed there was an issue with the engine - This issue resulted in an hour delay with no air circulation to cool the cabin, resulting in 85 degrees of discomfort, lasting for over an hour - When the flight finally took off, the flight attendants did not bother to check that everyone was buckled, or that carry on items were stowed away - If you need more reasons why not to fly Spirit, please read more reviews"
