The United States has restricted the entry of all foreign nationals who have passed through or have been in China, Iran, Most European Countries (Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Monaco, San Marino, Vatican City), the UK, Ireland and Brazil in the past 14 days.
With the exception of certain travelers which includes certain family members of US citizens or permanent residents including; spouses, children (under the age of 21), parents (provided that his/her US citizen or permanent resident child is unmarried and under the age of 21), and siblings (provided that both the sibling and the US citizen or permanent resident are unmarried and under the age of 21);
There is also an exception for travelers with the following visas: A-1, A-2, C-1, C-1/D, C-2, C-3, CR-1, CR-2, D, E-1 (as an employee of TECRO or TECO or the employee's immediate family members), G-1, G-2, G-3, G-4, IR-1, IR-4, IH-4, NATO-1 through NATO-4, or NATO-6 visa;
Members of the US Armed Forces, spouses, and children of members of the US Armed Forces;
Travelers with invitation of the USA government for a purpose related to the containment/mitigation of the Coronavirus (COVID-19);
Travelers with documents issued by the US Department of Homeland Security, US Customs and Border Protection, or US Department of State indicating that the traveler is exempt from the restriction;
B1 crew crewmembers that are engaged in lightering, Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) activity, wind farm activity, private air/sea crew and other similar crewmember activities;
Students with an F-1 or M-1 visa and their F-2 and M-2 dependents, if they arrive from or have been in Ireland, the UK or Schengen Area in the past 14 days.

Pros: "The equipment was in new condition. Legroom was comfortable and I liked the adjustable headrests. The bathroom, while airplane scale, was larger than other trans Atlantic flights I have taken and it wasn't as cramped. We were served our meal with real stainless steel utensils (no plastic) and the food was very good. I had a few problems with the media monitor which some instructions would have helped solve. The flight attendants were nice but not over friendly-- no one initiated conversation or engaged much with passengers. I find that odd since the Portuguese are such friendly people. Of course, this crew could have been a mix of nationalities from anywhere. All in all, a very good flight and I will definitely book TAP the next opportunity I have t fly with them."

Cons: "This was a flight to Morocco. The first leg was thru Jet Blue to JFK. The second Royal Maroc to Casablanca. I had contacted Royal Maroc about excess and overweight baggage (the ticket was purchased here). I was told no problem pay for it upon check in. At check in I was not allowed to bring the extra baggage. I had originally told Maroc that it would be two boxes. It ended up being one. Jet Blue said I was not permitted to bring a box or a 4th piece of luggage. No feasible solution was offered other than to drive to JFK (10 hours from RDU). I would have needed to check in in less than 8."

Cons: "Jetblue cancelled the flight 1 hour prior to departure. I had ordered a pkg through Kayak and had a departing flight to Asia from NYC leaving 2 hours after arrival. Instead of booking me on another flight that night to NYC, Jetblue rebooked my ticket for two days later. Even though I shared that we had prepaid the hotel stay and would lose that time in addition to a shortened trip, Jetblue did nothing to help. We were beyond devastated. We found our own ticket to NYC from Delta without help from Jetblue. This experience has left a very bitter taste in my mouth and destroyed my preference for Jetblue."

When i finally entered the terminal and i went to the gate, the plane had left ahead of time, therefore i missed my flight and i had to pay a different flight with a different airline because i had to be in Manhattan, NY during the morning hours. The people at the gate did not give me a alternative even after i told them my urgency. They said you can wait here until 4 pm or take the morning flight tomorrow. This was very wrong and i want my money back."

I eventually I had to rent a van with four strangers and drive 11 hours at 11:45 pm to avoid paying what would have easily been a thousand dollars in hotel fares and food for 3 days. They also told me they would refund part of my flight cost when I was in like for two hours, then denied saying that on the phone later that day."

Also the crew tried to mediate the situation by giving us small cookies that couldn't even make up for half of the things we had to go through but nice try the cookies were actually good but it was literally like a slap in the face."

When I did find someone who worked for Spirit she ignored me. Finally she got off the phone & wasn't any help at all! My connecting flight left @6 am & there was no other flight out to NY till 4pm. I asked Spirit if they could upgrade me to another flight on another airline but was turned down immediately. I then asked for a voucher & the employee said I had to fill out paperwork. The only credit I could obtain was the flight from Detroit to NY but then again I would have to go downstairs to another office to fill out documents for reimbursement. I basically waited all day at the airport with no food vouchers of any sort & then the flight was delayed from 4pm to 4:40pm. Once the time came to board I was told I had to pay $100 for one piece of luggage that I didn't have to pay for starting at LAX. I told the man at the counter that I've been at the airport all day because my first flight came in late & so I had missed the connection & he said he would only charge me $50. I felt I shouldn't have paid for nothing since no one was trying to help all day. I would never, ever fly Spirit airlines again."

Cons: "Besides the fact that the flight was overbooked and Spirit makes sad attempts to swindle customers out of the flight they booked, my plane had to quickly abort the landing. I understand that these are issues beyond the control of passengers as well as you, but it was very jarring and there was no reason or explanation as to why this had to happen. It was scary and frightening for not only myself, but my girlfriend as well. Other passengers were just as worried. Not to mention the massive headache I had well after my flight, as we had to quickly and abruptly climb altitudes. The add ons for every flight are also ridiculous!!! Its actually funny at this point. You have to pay to print out your boarding pass in the event you don't have a printer? Great Idea Spirit! Punish the customer who can't afford a printer. Everything is an up charge- to chose your own seat, you have to pay, to print out your boarding pass- pay, if you want a cup of ice- pay. Its actually outrageous. I promise you, I deeply and sincerely promise you, that this will be my last time using your cheap airlines. Thanks for the memories."
Cons: "TSA line took over an hour at O'Hare at 5am. A group of 15 people did not make the flight, because Spirit would not hold the door. Later in the day on the make up flight, which I had to wait 12 hours for, they held the doors for a las vegas flight for over 10 minutes just before my flight. I don't understand the process and I don't believe there is a process. I understand if I was negligent and showed up at the airport late or wasn't paying attention, but that was not the case, which was evidenced by the group of 15 other people/families in the same position. I have had decent experiences with Spirit in the past and I don't consider myself the type of person to hold a grudge, but the employee's were rude about it despite me being outwardly calm to them. It is upsetting when you miss a flight and a little compassion from the employee's would go a long way. I will definitely continue to fly, but I will not plan on using another spirit flight. There really wasn't a lot of spirit present."

Not advertising the fact that the check bag is only 40 lb and 50 like every other airline( Industry standard) and then trying to charge $85 for a checked bag. Flying with your company can end up costing way more than a regular airline and it all seems very deceptive, never mind the fact that the delay on the way back up to New York cost me a serious financial loss due to a missed business meeting."
