They handled it with grace giving each person their departing gate and asking everyone to let a gentleman off with a 10 minute connection. They made the flight memorably enjoyable."

Cons: "5 minutes until boarding at JFK we were told to transfer gates; upon arriving by shuttle to the new gate, passengers were informed the aircraft was downsized and 20 people needed to be bumped. I volunteered since I had a flexible schedule so Delta re-issued me a ticket at 9am JFK for a 10am flight out of La Guardia. I trusted them I'd make it in time and they said they called taxis for us so we left to go catch them. Actually, no taxis were to be found so we had to call our own and were significantly delayed. I was in the first group of 5 people to be re-issued and arrive at La Guardia. Everyone else bolted but my new boarding pass didn't work and they actually didn't properly re-issue my ticket as I had been booked as leg 3 of my international flight from Malaysia. After they called three different departments including China they were able to print my ticket at 9:54am so I sprinted through the security and to my gate and was able to somehow make the flight as they were closing the door. However probably 14 or so of the original bumped passengers definitely didn't make it."

I arrived 1 hour before the flight, but security was so slow I didn't get to the gat until 10 minutes before arrival. There were no gate agents present and despite banging on the gateway door and other Delta agents at the adjacent gate, no one helped me. I can only surmise that they had already given away our seats, which were award tickets, GAINED BY BEING A LOYAL DELTA CUSTOMER. The gate agents were unapologetic and useless at rebooking, and I bought a ticket from Southwest instead. As i was trying to get to my sister's wedding, and repeatedly told the agents this, their behavior was particularly abominable. DELTA, YOU'VE LOST A LOYAL CUSTOMER."

I was super excited to finally get upgraded! Then the plane had problems we were then again delayed and had to deplane. We were told this would be a 2 hour delay. I proceeded to try an get on the next flight at 8:20 while asking about a window seat the lady told me I would have to pay an additional $19! Well I had already paid $50. So the nice lady put me on that flight after I had already asked for window seat. She put me in the middle seat! I get that planes have problems and flights are delayed! There was so much bad yesterday then good and I feel like delta should know. It's more and more bad everytime I fly! Please fix these problems!"

The crew talked, or rather shouted in their back of the plane seats for the entire red eye flight while most of us were trying to sleep. I'm not sure if they were trying to talk over the screaming toddler or the general plane noise but being able to hear every word of their conversation despite the aforementioned and with active noise cancelling on seems unacceptable. They should be trying to control chaos not add to it."

My advice: be sure to pack enough for a couple of days in your carryon - and don't accept an offer to check your carryon to its final destination!"
Cons: "We had five pieces of luggage lost during our flight from the U.S. to Spain. When we arrived in Madrid we were told that all five pieces had been located. When we went to pick them up the next day there were only four pieces at the airport. We were told the fifth suitcase would be delivered when it was located. It's ten days later and there's no sign of the luggage. It has taken multiple phone calls to get the information about the luggage correct. They assure me that they have everything correctly documented and then when I call back they haven't changed a thing. It has been a very frustrating process overall."

I got there and had missed the connecting flight and stand in line for 20 min for someone to tell me that I would be stuck in DC overnight. At this point rain had started pouring and they told me that because my mishap was due to weather they would provide no meal or hotel voucher. Weather was not the issue and I was stuck in DC overnight by myself and not compensated for hotels or meals."

Never in my life will I ever fly with united again. My plans got ruined, I was forced to sleep on the cold dirty floor of LAX. This cost me a lot of time and money, and I am upset about it. I will tell all my peers about this horrible experience and encourage them to never fly with united ever again. I do expect some sort of compensation over this horrible experience."

Compared to boarding by row, the entire process is now one lengthy mess."

I have been on flights when there has been clarity given a change in plans but this was bad. We sat at the gate for an hour and a half, again no real communication, the fligh attendant t hope was joking when he said there was a half a bottle left for the whole plane...much later we were served water. Announcements were made but no clarity. We were told to collect baggage at number 2. Get a voucher for a hotel. After deplann9ng about 25 of us stood in line at the customer service desk where there were two staff working slowly. Then after an hour they announced we were in the wrong place, couldn't that have been explained earlier? Once we made our way out of the terminal to the ticket count the line was all the way down the hall. still with little info we waited. We landed at the alternate airport at 945, at 130am I had my vouchers, the food not useful until the following day, the hotels were full, no one picked up the phone for the shuttle bus to the hotels. I finally elected to sleep at the airport on a bench. We had actually all been reassigned a flight on our same plane. So I am not sure why we had to wait in line all that time. Our bags were not removed from the plane an irritated baggage claim attendant told me. It was a mess. The flight the next morning was fine, short, without problems for me. united needs to work on its communications. It would have been helpful to have someone out side running the line giving out info. And at customer service they should have been paying attention to their line. Would have been helpful."

Pros: "Regardless of product, the 787 is by far the most comfortable aircraft in the sky. Obviously you can't compare UA Economy to EY's "Residence" on the 380, but once you're comparing similar products across different aircraft, the 787 blows all the others out of the water. This is because of the higher cabin pressure, higher cabin humidity, and relatively enormous windows at eye level. Even UA can't ruin the 787 experience with their snippy staff (I almost found myself apologizing for asking for the little bag of snack mix that I missed out on because I was snoozing when they first came around) and ear-splitting announcements. The flight was delayed due to a mechanical, and the staff at NRT was very helpful in getting us to where we needed to be."
Cons: "The plane had a mechanical issue that they had to sort out after we pushed back. This was not so bad, but they changed their minds about whether we would take the original plane or switch to a second 787 that had flown in on NRT-DEN so many times I lost count. This is why I gave the "boarding" process poor marks--please just figure out whether we need to get off (we didn't need to, but did anyway) and whether we are going to switch to another aircraft before letting everyone off. The staff at NRT failed to consider moving the DEN-HKG passengers to a ET NRT-HKG flight (which surely had available seats) that was parked next door. Instead, we were all put on a HND-HKG flight leaving about five hours later than the ET flight."
Pros: "This aircraft is like magic. I love the magic windows that tint to your comfort and through which you can still see the Aleutian Islands at "night" when everyone is still trying to sleep. I love the higher pressure and the higher humidity in the cabin that makes you feel merely "tired" after a trans-pacific flight, as opposed to "exhausted," as you would feel after a 747, 777, 330, or 380. Please don't tell United this, but I would pay a large premium to fly the 787, and I'll take it through DEN to get from NRT to SMF, even though it would be much faster through SFO or SEA."
Cons: "Well, it was still United. Saw one crewmember picking his nose (he would have gotten dismissed upon landing at SQ or CX). The downside of the crew override on the 787's windows is that they sometimes leave the cabin "dark" even while they're serving the pre-arrival meal under full cabin lighting. I often have to ask them to release the controls."

Cons: "Our plane was delayed for over an hour. Picking up a bag from Frontier takes forever because you have to check what would otherwise be a carry-on. I wasn't aware of this as it was my first time flying with Frontier. Knowing that, I'd be able to schedule better. Don't love that they don't really give any refreshments or snacks."
Cons: "There was a 4 hour delay that a notice went out 2 hours before boarding- which is too late because everybody was already there. And the email still encouraged us to come to the airport just in case. Which meant sitting around an airport 5 hours. Also, there are no trays on the back of your seat. There is a small metal bar that pulls down but it is too narrow for a computer, tablet, book or even to sit a cup of coffee on- which by the way- costs $1.99."
Cons: "There was no mention of a delay while boarding but it took an extra 40 minutes to get started. There were storms in dc and our plane had to be redirected to a different airport. We were not given accurate information or updated with any frequency. We would be told more information is coming in 15 minutes, then sit for an hour and hear nothing. i could not update my driver that was at the original destination airport. While stuck on the plane at the new airport we were told we could not get off the plane or we would not be allowed back on and if we decided to get off and drive we could not get our checked bags. Snacks were not offered for hours and more than one flight attendant said they were out of everything and running out of water. When they finally offered food, full price was still the only option and they had everyone line up in the back of the plane, blocking both lavatories. Half way through the line we were told we could close the doors and prepare to take off and everyone remaining was sent back to their seat. We waited another half hour to actually take off."

Pros: "I just plain like the Frontier method as it has been done for years. The pricing, seating, employees and most everything else just works."
Cons: "I've traveled with Frontier for years and on previous flights to DCA, I thought I should blame the baggage claim delay on the airport. Now I am told it is a Frontier responsibility and I am livid. It gets worse every trip. This time it took an hour to get our bags and it was clearly unnecessary. The first bags came out at about 30 minutes, but after that they dribbled out with no explanation whatsoever. Someone is a real laggard and they need to be fired! This experience was so bad that it takes precedence over our previous beefs. Boarding could be much better from back to front and the new seats are terrible, but like I said, if the baggage could be fixed, I would be willing to concede a few. At this point, I am ready to jump ship to Southwest."

Checked bags cost $35, carry-on bags cost $40! Everything but water costs extra on the plane, and you even have to pay $13 to choose your "normal" seat! I will not fly Frontier again because after I sum the additional costs I can fly a comparable airline with additional services that are free when compared to Frontier."

Seats need to be more ergonomically designed for comfort. Also, not music or TV. The old planes use to give you these choices. The new planes suck!!!!!"

You do get one free personal item wether it be a backpack or suitcase it's just supposed to fit under your seat and i put mine in overhead anyway so im sure it's fine as long as you get on the plane. so not sure what everyone else was rating. if you plan on extra baggage add it online it's much cheaper if you don't get it online add it at your check in kiosk BEFORE you go through security and it will save you 20 bucks."

Micro-sized fold out trays can't hold an ipad and coffee cup. Plane left 45 minutes late for no reason. No TS-Pre check. I could go on. I will never fly this airline again."

Seats are hard plastic, no support or reclining options, yet cost extra for assignment. Once all ancillary fees are added up, Frontier is not a value to other competitors. The baggage did not arrive at the claim for 45 minutes after debarkation. I'd say that was unusual, except it took over an hour for bags on my flight home. It's apparent that cost cutting is priority, just not realized in value for flyers. A long fall in service/value from its past under current management. I will not be using this carrier again."
