Flight was delayed because of a mechanical problem with the plane.
No food in the terminal; spirit only allowed one glass of soda, that they would not charge.
They offered a fifty dollar voucher if you purchased a spirit ticket within 60 days.
Plane was delayed repeatedly, then cancelled. I missed work and was originally offered a flight for twi days later. That wouldve been three days in an airport ? I had to purchase a room, taxi, and then spend the following day in the airport as that flight was repeatedly delayed. I booked a direct flight and was not rescheduled for such. Still waiting for reply from American Airlines. First time flying with this carrier and disappointed is an understatement.
My first flight was canceled then they took it upon themselves to bump me off the next light and put me on the latest flight where I got there at 11 o'clock at night then on the way home it was delayed again I missed my connecting flight and then he put me on the latest flight again it was a complete nightmare
While the fares are rather low, expect to pay for carryon bags per plane if you have a layover anywhere between 35 and all the way up to 100 I'd you wait to add a carryon at the gate. If you're over 6 foot, as I'm 6'3", your knees will be buried into the seat in front of you, so just plan on feeling squished for the time of the flight. All the crew was polite and seemed very nice. I'll fly them again and probably get their 9 dollar fair club to save on bags. But I know I'll be uncomfortable during the actual flight. But there is the option to upgrade to a bigger seat.
I liked the cheaper price, and I thought the crew was fairly nice.
I did not like the policies regarding carry-on luggage; it was not well-advertised to me that you must pay extra for a carry-on (although you do get a very small personal item), and that the at-the-gate price is unreasonably high ($100). It felt like a major scam since it was never made obvious that this was the case, at least not for me who had never flown on Spirit Airlines before. The seating space was also probably the most cramped of any flight I've been on before.
no water ...no coffee.....I understand paying for it but a beverage should be included......
Flight from Dallas to Detroit delayed 8pm to 11 p.m......Now here is where some refreshments should be offered.....
I had a very enjoyable experience. The crew and staff were very friendly and helpful. The plane was immaculate and in no way felt cheep or shabby. Decent selection of food and drink available.
Yes, the seats were rather close. Although, I am a rather large guy (6' 198lbs) and I didn't find it all that uncomfortable. I even managed to get some sleep. I do wish there was the option to purchase WiFi access.
But it is a 3-3 and there no room to sit cause we are hip to hip which means shoulders overlap shoulders. It is horrible. Avoid this plane at all costs. It's really bad. Pitch of leg room is barely OK but side to side they have sunk to a new low.
The new plane doesn't blow any air. Terrible system. Really? That should be easy to fix.
