Cons: "Ground crew were antagonistic and need sensitivity training. After the year we’ve been through they need to “ just be kind”. They were unpleasant and onboard crew not much better and demanding with passengers when people tried to stow their luggage. As a teacher of young students we’ve all focused on empathy and Jet Blue could do the same with their passengers."

When I picked it up at baggage claim my bag was soaked and my pink bag had black dirt all over it. The terminal had poop on the floor in multiple spots along the main path where people walk, which is clearly disgusting and concerning. Although the flight was fine the combination of these things made it a very unpleasant experience."

Pros: "Only my 2nd time on Jet Blue and this time it was that only two seats per row flights. The boarding process was smooth. I checked in online and had my pass on my phone. The seats were comfy enough & wifi was free along with tv. The flight itself was smooth and the flight crew address any possible issues beforehand. The crew was on-point with the routine but they had really great customer service. I usually don't think of JetBlue when looking to book but they are really winning my business. Great job overall."

Cons: "The pilot was late arriving so we had to wait for him to show up then because we were late our flight got delayed again because of a lightning storm near the airport. Other planes who were scheduled to leave after us got to leave earlier than us so I don't know what happened there. After I was finally on the plane my headphone jack would not work. I know it's not my headphones because I had just used it before boarding for both my Nintendo and computer. Also, the buttons for the TV are on the armrest and if you try to get comfortable you'll change the channel. When the flight attendant came around she just propped a bunch of stuff in front of us and since it was dark I had no idea what I was looking at, ended up getting a very crappy bag of chips. Overall was a terrible experience flying JetBlue."

When I asked the person at the desk what gate I was to board at, he looked up the information as if I was asking him for the access code Chase's bank vault. He didn't even write it down even thought he had a pen in his hand. Apparently, at customers, we are not suppose to get this information and it's a burden on the employees to give it. Again the flight was late and while I know it was due to weather, we were seated in the plane and sat at the gate for more than an hour. Apparently, we were not cleared to be given an update. Once again, the speakers at the seat didn't work. Apparently, this is a constant problem with JetBlue"

Pros: "Onky 1 flight attendant did a wonderful job seeing to everyone's safety & needs in a courteous way with a beautiful smile. Plane was delayed due to weather & she handed out water as we sat in the plane waiting for the storm to pass. When finally off the ground she managed to serve drinks to all & pass out an assortment of goodies from which we could choose. Southwest simply gave out pretzels on one trip & peanuts on another. Thanks for the selection Jet Blue! She did all this single handedly during a pretty quick flight."

And there were not enough plugs / ports for all who needed to recharge. The overhead storage was pretty tight too, I really had to turn & shove my small-ish luggage into place."

My phone kept telling me that I was connected but I could not use any apps or connect to the internet in anyway. I looked in the seat back pocket for information on how to connect, nothing. I googled before we took off, nothing. I loved everything else about this flight but this was incredibly frustrating, especially when I was traveling for work."

Cons: "Seats are terrible, and getting worse every year, but thats coach on all airlines not just Jet Blue. Hard armrests, weirdly shaped bucket seats which are appalling in any other position than straight up with 90 degree waist bend. Thats not how humans sit for extended periods of time. A 5 degree recline is not a recline; its a joke. At least the tray table was bigger than my phablet, unlike Spirit where the napkins look like tablecloths on these ‘tables’. Overall, it is better than the cheapest airlines."

Cons: "One of the main reasons why I chose Jetblue its because it is an ALMOST 4-5 star experience with great affordable ticket prices. Unfortunaltelly the ALMOST it is so, due such an important role such a host/hostess at the airport representing so poorly the company, EVERY TIME I leave from fortlauderdale airport. Once the check-in kiosk fails to complete to check you in (and I am ok with machines poor work) you are directed to a crew members in the counters. A host/hostess from jetblue standing in front of the counters, instead of greet you properly or showing some sort of degree of willingness to welcome you or help you tell you "yes, what do you need... ? That never fails! It feels like you are breaking in into a zone you are not suppose to be, and annoyingly you are disturbing these people. It so confusing why they have those attitudes, specially at that position, where you really need to clear up the bad weed in choosing your personnel. I think these few"crew members" can make a smooth transition to nightclub bouncers, where I'm sure will be a great fit."

Cons: "Every segment of my roundtrip flight was delayed or late, including the last leg of my flight delayed multiple times. I could not check in for my last segment on-line via my phone. The message I was given during check in process said in red letters, that I needed to speak to an agent at the counter. I was on a tropical island, i couldn't just run down to the airport. I tried calling customer service, but wasn't able to connect due to bad cell service. My connections were tight and because I couldn't checkin the prior day, I was not allowed to get a seat on my original flight. I was rescheduled on to new flights and those were delayed. I sat in Ft Lauderdale for 6+ hours. Once on the plane, I was assigned a seat that doesn't recline. What was originally supposed to be a 5 hour travel day turned into a 15+ hour travel day. There were no weather issues that day, just JetBlue being terrible."

Cons: "Crew was not very friendly. Even though I made a point of letting them know I was hard of hearing, and that I could not hear the announcements, they did not let me know what was said. I have traveled on several airlines over the past couple of years, and they are all accomadating...except JetBlue. Also the flight attendant constantly bypassed me...drinks, snacks, even trash pickup. I had to get his attention and there was a passenger sitting next to me that he spoke to at length."

I love jet blue so much I am always willing to pay extra to fly with the airline. The customer service is superb and I have never had anything but an extremely possitive experience with this airline."

Cons: "They claim to be cleaning these planes but I find that hard to believe when there is Gum on the window sill. We were also delayed quite a bit in the boarding process. Also I would imagine that during Covid-19 these companies would do a better job of not overbooking flights but all of my flights with American this past weekend were overbooked. Which delayed us even longer as they searched for volunteers to adjust their flights. In today's age of technology the idea that they are still overbooking planes makes no sense to me in the slightest. I will be walking, driving or taking a boat before I fly American Airlines again."

Cons: "I am very disappointed with my flight this morning on American Airlines 1533. The crew did an excellent job. The issue, however, is the media AA chose to play at 8:30am. The NBC show that was playing on every overhead TV on the flight featured a woman being sexually assaulted by a man, someone being bludgeoned with a piece a wood until they lay unconscience in a pool of blood, and woman with a gun to her head as she’s being yelled at by multiple men. I was flying with my three year old son. Why on earth is it necessary to show this tv show (or any show that has mature/adult ratings) on a flight that is obviously going to have audiences of all ages? Our flight had a dozen or so children and when you show prime time trash on the overhead TVs, it’s really tough to keep kids from looking forward the entire length of the 2 hour flight so they don’t watch a woman being raped, a man being beaten, or someone being held at gunpoint. I am traveling on behalf of the US government so I didn’t have to pay for my ticket. I did, however, pay for my 3 year old son to accompany me on the flight and I am wholly unsatisfied with the AA team responsible for choosing in-flight ‘entertainment.’ I’m not sure if NBC pays AA to feature their shows or AA has to pay NBC for the pleasure of featuring their trash but either way, what in the world are you guys thinking?"

Cons: "Gates are way too far apart in Miami and the golf carts to get between areas seem to require reservations and long waits. Ridiculous. Most MIA staff was very rude (this wasn't American's own staff, or TSA, I should note). American stripped my group of our seat assignments (which we had selected 6 months prior) without reason and with minimal apology. No solution offered. Got middle seats but luckily was able to switch on one of the computer kiosks. Flight crew didn't seem to care that other people moved to the for-pay seats further up front (the flight wasn't full)... so why did we lose our seat assignments and get grief with not being able to select anything good? Not impressed."

Cons: "Almost missed our flight home because American Airlines lost/screwed up our round trip tickets. We were not able to check in quickly or efficiently, & service was appalling, staff was either poorly trained or uneducated. We tried using the kiosk to check in, to avoid the long line. That didn’t work, so we found help. They told us to retry, wasting time, finding out what we had already informed them of. They passed us off to another gate/service counter, who’s line was closed off. So we had to duck the divider. They then redirected us to the kiosks after we informed them it couldn’t find our reservations, so they tried (wasted more time) failed & sent us back to the line we were already in. After that wait we talked to the person at the desk, who also couldn’t find our reservation. They said “I don’t know it’s not in here, what do you want me to do?” I had to tell them to call a manager to get it fixed, we were going to miss our flight. They called & found the problem, then at 3:15ish reissued us tickets for our 3:30 return flight. Still had to get through TSA! There was also NO phone call to hold the plane or to arrange an airport people mover cart. They talked with the TSA agent who told us to go 2 checkpoints down where the line was shorter. So the American Airlines attendant told us to run. Turns out in Miami Airport there is almost a quarter mile of poorly labeled counter space. Went through TSA having 12 min before our reassigned flight left. TSA was helpful, & did their best to get us through quickly. We were then informed we were near gate 22 & our gate was 3, so rushing down another concourse we barely made our return flight home. Where we were forced to check our carry-on. My girlfriend was crying, we were sweaty (from hustling when we never should of had too), hungry, embarrassed, enraged, & not sitting together for our 3+ hr flight! Unacceptable after a 4hr drive to the airport in traffic & returning the rental car at 1:40!"

Cons: "american airlines does not care about the privacy of their passengers. even after several calls my information wasn't updated correctly and my flight confirmation was passed along to members who weren't even traveling. there was no in flight entertainment and in order to pick seats together i needed to pay extra (i thought i was flying with american not spirit) apparently the only way i can be helped is writing a letter to customer service which they will review within 10 business days. THANKS american for starting a war in my family and ruining my trip. unfortunate the crew is so awesome but the customer service is mortifying, rude, inconsiderate and completely mechanical. i dont ever intend on flying with them again unless necessary."

It was boarding time and no agent was at the gate. 10 minutes past boarding time the screen shows that the flight is delayed 25 minutes... but wait, there is still no plane at the gate! After 45 minutes the plane arrived, again had to be "cleaned" and prepared for flight back to SF. Customers were told the flight was delayed because Air Traffic Control issues in SF, but there was no plane in sight... Again I felt we were being lied to. The plane was filthy with garbage everywhere still. I will never fly American Airlines by choice!"

Pros: "The flight itself was a nice flight. The captain and first officer were communicative and the few times we experienced turbulence I felt like they immediately tried to minimize it. I had a good amount of room in my seat (I was not in an emergency exit row) and I had no problems with my luggage."
Cons: "There was a 2 hour delay to take off. When your flight is at 7am and you've woken up at 3:30 or 4 to get to the airport on time, it's a bit frustrating to wait an extra 2 hours to leave. The gate agents were woefully uninformed and when they did communicate with passengers it was vague and unhelpful. The gate agents kept referring to the need for "maintenance" on the aircraft. It doesn't inspire a great deal of confidence in the soundness of the plane to hear that the maintenance crew is trying to "fix something in the cockpit." The Departures monitors and my Kayak app were giving me delay updates before the gate agents were. At one point we switched gates (it was the gate directly across from the original gate) and I watched as passengers at one gate literally traded places with passengers at another gate because the flights had swapped gates. It was comical. Overall, just a disorganized, uninformative, frustrating mess."

The flight price seems like a bargain, but the individual charges for bags and seat assignments feel tricky and in the end doesn't make this a deal. The comfort on the plane is horrible. If I would have known the seats were unpadded, and the tray tables worthless I would never have booked this flight. My husband couldn't work on his computer as the tray table is miniscule. I have never flown this airline and will never again. There were multiple places in our row that had gum stuck on the floor. Gross. Never again Frontier."

Cons: "I am allergic to dogs and cats. This is a growing problem for me because it seems that the rules are looser and people keep a pet on their lap and service animals are increasing. There were two on board ( One not a service animal, the other one was) and I spoke to the gate agents who were mostly uninformed and unsympathetic . There is an overall lack luster with everything about FRONTIER and I get the no-frills / buy what you need concept, but there is no accommodation for people with serious allergy, and there is an increasing ability to get the certificate to have a service animal for just about any malady it seems. I respect the need for a service animal. However the passengers who have to sit in an airplane with recirculating air with dander are largely misunderstood. I asked to speak to a FRONTIER supervisor and there was no one to be seen and I got a stock answer from the gate agent in Orkando who was chewing gum so hard, it was difficult to have a conversation. Eventually I gave up my good seat to go further back from the animals who were seated up in front rows. That makes it worse when you have to pass by them to get back to your seat. And again, the gate agents were not helpful in getting me on the plane pre-boarded. Yes I take medication and sometimes I am OK and for the record, there is no truly "hypoallergic dog" for me. That is the excuse I also get. It is tough to live with when people around you do not understand . I was also recently deplaned on United airline because of this problem. I cannot stop flying it is always something now I have to worry about until I get to the gate. I do not wish it on anybody but if you had the reaction of welts itching and swelling it would be better understood as something that needed to be addressed by the airlines. Cons: "First I bought a ticket from Spirit Airlines SFO to MCO for 309$, then I saw charges from frontier Airline, frontier airlines bought a ticket for me too for 287$, when I was just watching checking the price. Then I compared the tickets, both the time, but from Frontier Airlines was cheaper then I stayed with frontier and cancel the other reservation from Spirit Airlines the next day I see frontier airlines also cancelled that reservation and I had to rebook another ticket for 496$, the price went up, then I had to pay 187$ extra, IT WAS A FRAUD JOB FROM FRONTIER AIRLINES, I can prove everything above with the receipts and the dates on it, the worse experience I had"

Cons: "I have traveled many places and have NEVER encountered such horrible service in an airport as I did at your Orlando airport / Frontier counter. I checked hours before was in the airport and long lines an hour and 1/2 before flight leaving and due to your Frontier agents at this counter I was unable to board. This happen to more than one passenger in line with me. This agent continued to argue with me rolling her neck and head at me rather than get me to t gate with an available half hour before take off. There was vomit at the counter which they refused to call anyone to come and clean up but overall NO ONE was on task. I will dispute the extra charges I have incurred due to this fiasco and will NEVER fly Frontier Airlines again."

Pros: "I will only fly Frontier if the cost is way lower than other flights. The seating is so uncomfortable and they charge for literally everything. I'm surprised there is not "breathing air" fee. Although the round-trip nonstop flight to SD from Orlando was only 140 per person. I paid 89 each way for bags and seating. Still at 185 round-trip nonstop, it's a great deal. The flight left on time and we had no issues in the air. I wish I could get more comfort and complimentary drinks and snacks along with TV options during the flight for this price, but you can't have your cake and eat it too. Overall the savings is undeniable. We had some major issues trying to book our summer trips bc they were only showing airfare through 6/6/17 up until last week 2/13/17. Less than four months out before they released and the prices were doubled. Since my entire family lives in Orlando and I travel there 5+ times a year, Frontier has saved us a lot of money! My son travels alone a lot. He is 13. When he flies alone we always use Southwest no matter the cost bc they do not charge extra for any minor over 12 traveling alone and they take great care of the kids in air. No to mention the flights are nonstop, they offer free drinks and snacks, and of course, baggage is free."
Cons: "The seats are extremely uncomfortable, I still ache from this flight. I had a 10 month old on my lap for five hours. I was unable to recline. They force you to check in online or they will charge you more money at the gate. They will charge you for everything under the sun. So glad they don't charge for in lap infants (yet) or a personal bag. Maybe it is just a matter of time. One airline I flew.. (Maybe Frontier or Alaska?) offered tablets for rental to. Watch movies or shows during the flight. Frontier could take a hint and start this practice."

Pros: "First off I've never flied on Frontier before. I've heard some pretty negative things about Frontier but booked a flight anyways because 1) it was 1/2 the cost of any other airline for the dates I wanted 2) it was a non stop from SFO to MCO so how bad could it be. It was absolutely horrible and enough to convince me to never book a flight on Frontier again. Here's some things that you should know if you've never flown Frontier before. They charge $25 for carry on bags and $30 for a checked bag as long as you purchase ahead of time. If you show up at the airport and pay there then the cost for a carry on is $50 and a checked bag is $60. You are allowed to bring a personal bag for free as long as it's not bigger than 18x14x8 and that's what I did. You can't choose a seat on Frontier unless you're willing to pay an additional $12-$42 so you essentially get whatever they give you. The plane was an A319 but the most stripped down version that an airline could probably purchase. The seats don't recline and it's basically a plastic seat lined with fabric. Extremely uncomfortable to say the least. The employees for Frontier across the board are very unprofessional and rude, at first I just thought it was an isolated incident but the more contact and interaction I had with Frontier's employees the quicker I realized that it's company wide the level of unprofessionalism exhibited. If you want a snack or anything to drink including water you better be ready to pay a premium, so it was a rough 5 hour flight. On the way out of SFO my plane was delayed over 3 hours. When I asked about the delay they said it was weather. The funny part was that only Frontier flights were delayed. Flying back my plane was supposed to depart at 6:55pm but we actually didn't depart until 11:15pm. Lesson learned and I know that for me I'll pay the extra money to fly with a carrier that I have experience with that better caters to my traveling needs."

You then go to pick a seat and you have to pay for that and for each connecting flight. Then you have to pay $2.99 if you want a drink or a snake. If you want an adult beverage its $7.99. The seats are very cheap and uncomfortable and don't recline. They don't have tv's or wi fi. Delta includes all of this and has a better record for being on schedule. No question who I will be flying with next time!"

My second crumbs all over the seat and floor. The seats were horribly uncomfortable and did not recline. They claim they have low fares but there were hidden costs (charges for picking seats AND carry-on bags) that we didn't learn about until we arrived at the airport and had to use money we saved to spend on vacation for the flight instead. I would have rather paid weeks ahead so I didn't have to use our fun money."

Cons: "1.Hidden costs - we have carry on luggage that ALL other airlines are fine with, but when we got to the gate to board they told us they weren't for carry on and had to pay and additional $60/piece($120 total) and threatened that we couldn't board if we didn't pay. Then they allowed us to carry them on and they fit easily in the overhead compartment. 2.Mass confusion boarding on the return flight. There were designated long lines, then other personnel would make changes to the lines confusing everyone even more. 3.We had our bags pre checked, our boarding passes printed the night before (as recommended by the airlines) to expedite the boarding process and we still had to stand in line with the other passengers who had not completed this ahead of time. It did not expedite anything for us. 4.Seats do not recline, very uncomfortable. 5. No vomit bags....we had a very turbulent decent and many people in need of sick bags. Many ended up vomiting into their personal bags!"

This was a terrible inconvenience. I have never experienced anything like this by any other airline. I have no idea why they did not just leave it off to the side (like every other airline does)."

We got no advanced notice even though the plane had not yet left a destination around 4 hours away. We were told a plane was coming from another airport and would be there by 6. The plane did not arrive until 9. No explanation. No compensation. Nothing."

Cons: "What was really a bit upsetting for me was, when I went to check in at the front desk, the airline attendant was helpful and very professional. My boarding pass did not have the gate number printed on it, and I didn't even notice it until I got passed TSA. I felt like it was the attendant responsiblity to make sure everything on the boarding pass was correct, and my reason for saying so is I was too busy or focused on getting to security and thinking about the rest of my travel. it was just my luck that I remember to check my online itinerary that was sent to me via email to see the gate number. I know this may not be the airlines fault, but On my flight we left ahead of time and landed super on time, but still spend almost an HOUR!!! due to some maintenance issue at the gate in Atlanta. It was an horrible experience, I had a meeting I was suppose to be at at 8am. Everything was going so right with the flight I felt like I was going to make it. I just felt that the entire situation could have been handle a bit better :("

Telling passengers you do not give anything for free and then refusing them water after turning off the air conditioner is really bad. Also, when reloading the same protocal of calling for children, disabled, and zones should be followed. I had to tell the manager to do this. He just told the whole crowd to line up which created a hostile mess."

Flight crew told us that our plane was continuing on to Denver (my final destination.) After the other passengers had exited, a flight attendant made an announcement that we had to vacate the plane due to the crew change. I exited the plane. While I was in the airport restroom, the gate attendant made a garbled announcement that my flight was shifting gates. When I got back to the gate, the attendant told me that we were on a new plane leaving from a different gate. I had to run from gate 34 to gate 18, and was the last one to board. It would have been better we were told to go to the new gate before we exited."

We went down to baggage claim to see if by chance anyone turned in the attachment but we’re only told to file a report and if they so happen to find it they will contact us. Gate change was not well-communicated, and no audible boarding announcements were made. Then, once on board there was a charge for a drink. EVEN WATER. The plane was new, but the seats were hard with little padding and don’t recline at all. Forget about using the tray table, it’s just big enough to set most modern smartphones on. If you buy spirit thinking it was a d al like I did, you will be disappointed. All the fees we ended up paying put the cost above what it would have been to fly southwest."

Gate check tag for stroller was attached and claim check received. Stroller was loaded at MCO. Upon arrival in BOS none of the 4 gate checked strollers were located and brought to the waiting parents. We were then told by ground crew there were no gate checked items ragged and the strollers were put on baggage carousel. 20 mins after all bags were claimed there were still no strollers. Crew at baggage claim was notified and without letting us know what she was doing she walked away from the 4 sets of parents. She returned saying she didn't see them out back. We were asked to fill out lost luggage forms. As we began filling the forms the strollers came down the baggage claim without explanation of why no one could find them. Each one had the neon green gate check tag visible. This delay of almost 40 minutes caused me to miss my scheduled bus with a cranky infant."

Cons: "When we arrived, I needed wheelchair assistance. I was picked up on the gangplank, and taken to the gate across from our arrival and LEFT THERE. No offers of help after that. I had a 3 hour layover, and finally Alfonso asked if I needed additional assistance. No one else was I interested in helping me get to food or a restroom. During the course of my layover, I heard over 6 flights have gate changes. Ours also was changed...at the time we should've been boarding. No explanation or apology for inconvenience. And again, I was LEFT THERE with no assistance. I finally flagged someone down to get a wheelchair and take me to the new gate, where I was LEFT AGAIN. I finally got up and walked to a restroom in my own (in great pain). The info for our flight remained on the screen at the old gate, with no mention of a gate change, and the new gate had NO information posted about our flight anywhere...which led to a great deal of confusion, chaos, and angry patrons. The gate change also caused us to board 30 min late. The Spirit employees were hard to find (laughing and hanging out in a closed-off area behind the desk). They were not friendly, helpful, or even understanding about the situation. I asked to be the last one on the plane (needing wheelchair assistance), and was told no, with no kindness or explanation. The flight attendants on this flight were not any better than the ines in the flight before...only w/o the funny commentary. And, another long flight with no entertainment, comfort, or friendly assistance. When we arrived at DFW, there were storms (that would've been avoided if we had left Orlando in time) that kept us in a holding pattern for an hour and a half ON TOP of a two and a half hour flight. The flight attendants used this time as a way to make MORE money for the airline by charging money for any food/drinks during this time...even water. We were on that cramped plane for 5 HOURS and were still having to pay for water. This was one of my WORST airline experiences in over 40 years of flying."

There were few flights for the following evening, which sold out quickly; then rebooking were for the day after that. They did not offer to cover any hotel arrangements. The staff handled it pretty well, but it made my wait to get a refund even longer. I had to find a rental car to drive overnight from Orlando to Atlanta. I finally got home at 10:30 am."

Cons: "It was not Spirit's fault that the flight was delayed for two hours--that was due to weather--but there were no updates and when the clerk got on the intercom she was very soft-spoken and hard to hear. In order to effective deal with flight delays, one needs to have consistent updates, so that one can inform friends and family and arrange for rides from the airport that don't have to wait forever for the palne's arrival. It is difficult to be over six feel with long legs; leg room is nonexistent,, and non-reclining sits are difficult. Although I would never pretend that this was at all the fault of anyone at the airline. I was seated next to a woman who was very large--at least 400#, and quite broad-shouldered--and she took up half my seat. My back still aches, I couldn't lean back or straighten out or get comfortable in my seat because of her size. It made for a painful, difficult flight."

Cons: "They would not let me check in at 915 for a 955 flight. The airport was not crowded it was a Tuesday night and they would not budge on the fact that I was there 44 mins before not 45 mins. They have a very strict 45 min check in policy. I had to sleep at the airport and then they charged me 100 dollars for changing my flight. It is a scam. I was on line with multiple people who had to pay for their next flight even though there was plenty of time to get to the gate. I will never fly spirit again!"

Cons: "Will never fly Spirit airlines again. First flight was cancelled, return flight was delayed by almost 2 hours. I waited at the ticketing desk for 3+ hours (while on hold with customer service on my cell phone). Never had my call answered and also did not ever get to the counter for my refund. HORRIBLE experience, worst customer service ever. A total inconvenience, I had to rearrange all my travel plans, incurring many additional expenses and also book a different outgoing flight at a higher cost in order to get to my destination. Also, the flight seems cheaper but then they gouge you by charging for your seat and also for your carry on. Not any cheaper in the end. NEVER AGAIN."

They don't send you a notice to preregister and they should say ...no need to preregister but if changes happen we will update you. it was a little disconnected to know have a confirmation like that."

When she told us that the baggage fees would be almost $400 for the two of us, I said "You are insane." and we rented a car and drove 15 hours instead... with car rental and gas and hotel, we still spent less than the baggage fees! When I called Spirit to complain. I was told that the gate agent was trying to overcharge us, but that there was nothing that could be done. They would not refund the cost of the tickets (Only $144) or offer any travel credit. I will never use Spirit Air"

Cons: "Ridiculous charges for everything you get on other carriers for free: printing boarding pass, choosing a seat,water, carry on bag allowance. Additionally seats are extremely small(and I am not a big person), no inflight entertainment available at all, no option for an electronic boarding pass and additionally the flight was delayed. With what I paid for the flight itself, the charge for 1 carry-on bag and the fee for selecting a seat at the time of booking, my total cost was more than what I would have paid on Delta or American. Will not be a repeat customer of Spirit."

Pros: "Comfort, clean seats"
Cons: "Fare cheap but all the 'musts'made it more than any other airline: $9 Online fee; $25 kiosk fee (which didn't work and had to pay $50 fee to check in with clerk; had to check bag approved for under seat/carry on (12"c12") and since kiosk didn't work, charged $60 for 1st bag, even though I paid $60 for a 'first checked bag' and 2nd bag should hAve been cheaper. It was TSA agent who told me I would be required to check the bag by Spirit as it didn't meet carry on criteria and if I didn't check now, would be $100 at gate. I told her that I was traveling back with same TSA approved (and Spirit online rules) and she became rude and rejected my bag (and did a complete body search) so, I was forced to check the bag or miss my flight. I asked her and the Spirit clerk (3) if this was a TSA/ Spirit racket with kickbacks for TSA and/or Spirit and NOT on of them laughed, smiled, or denied this question. Mever again will I fly Spirit airlines or recommend to anyone!"

Cons: "Out flight was cancelled due to poor weather in Newark. Spirit wasn't at fault for the bad weather, but they left us high and dry in the aftermath. They gave us no help or information how to rebook, and chaos broke out as a couple hundred confused passengers scrambled to find temporary accommodations. My family ended up staying overnight in the Orlando Hyatt airport hotel, and booking a flight the next day at expensive last-minute rates. We ended up paying $340 for the hotel, and $2500 for the flights, for a total additional expense of $2840.Because Spirit refunded us $1200 for the cancelled flights, we ended up losing "only" $1640 to get home, with no help from Spirit to mitigate our loss or even to advise us what to do. This is not how an airline, even a low-cost airline, should treat its passengers. I heard many passengers, in the scrum of confusion after the cancellation, vowing that they'd never fly Spirit again, and it's hard to argue with them."

Cons: "We were over 1 hour late getting to Orlando as there was a passenger who was on the plane in stand by . Spirit overbooked the flight and they down 45 minutes trying to resolve the issue. I was suppose to get to Orlando at 10:30 . I got to Orlando at 12;30 . I had to be up and ready at 6:00 . It took me 45 minutes to get a ride. This past Thursday I was suppose to fly spirit to New Orleans . The security people search me for around 40 minutes . The plane was still at the tarmac however the spirt person had closed the ramp and would not let me on the plane . The plane set there for additional 25 minutes . I drove to New Orleans for 7 hours for a meeting. I will never , ever fly spirit again ."

Pros: "In purchasing a Spirit flight I am aware that no "frills" are included. I expect uncomfortable seats, no free snacks or drinks, and staff that is generally less professional. You get what you pay for. And the price matches the service."
Cons: "I live two hours from the airport I departing from. My flight was early in the morning, so I made plans to leave for the airport with plenty of time to make it to the airport. Unfortunately due to blizzard conditions, I knew I would be unable to safely make it to the airport by the time my flight would take off. I called customer service, during my first call I was hung up on, so I called again. The operator tried to tell me that he didn't see any weather conditions that should have prevented me from making it to the airport so he wouldn't help me transfer my flights. I was made to cancel my original departing flight and purchase a new departing flight, for twice the cost of what I had originally paid for my round trip flight. The only decent thing the operator did for me what waive the flight cancellation fee. I understand fees and charges to keep other flights as cheap as possible, however, at some point your customer service should accommodate your fliers when its extenuating circumstances. Highly disappointed. Unlikely to fly with them again."

Cons: "The alert was finally sent to us well past the time we would have been going through security. Luckily, we had checked on our own through a third party app,. No alternative flights were available, so we had to book on another airline and cancel the Spirit tickets. The credit policy is draconian. We may not be able to meet the redemption requirements and will probably lose the entire value. The process created so much frustration and wasted so much time. The low-ish price is simply not worth it."

Pros: "Flight on time."
Cons: "Flight attendant was so mean. I did not get a chance to ask who she is or her name was at that time . I was traveling with my family including my mother who is almost 80 years old and was seated farther away from me. I stood up to check on her as she was having shortness of breath when we boarded. I stood up 15 minutes after we took off although the seat belt sign was on to check on my mother, I knew I need to stay at my seat but I have to check on my mother. flight attendant was at the aisle getting food orders and was very rude told me to go back to my seat. It could have been better if she asked what's going on and why I need to stand . That's not my expectation of a flight attendant as she should be there to assist and provide support if needed. But she was very rude and directed me back to my seat without asking the reason of my action/ behavior but instead very rudely telling me to go back to my chair. She could have asked me if I need help. I believed she is also the flight attendant who was using the overhead mic to give instructions to the passengers. She is not fit to where she is at. I believed that there still a lot of people that were very disappointed at her . I hope nobody dies in the plane where she is at as her act of negligence,rudeness , discourteous is not acceptable."

Pros: "I didn't die."
Cons: "Everything else. Spirit accidentally cancelled my return flight. How is this possible? I had to shell out $1000 to hold a backup flight out of fear that they couldn't fix the error. Then they tried to double-charge me for luggage that I had paid for with the initial booking. Once they reinstated the luggage fee they stuck me in the back of the plane with no windows in an aisle seat when I paid for premium seating. Spirit is the worst airline on the planet. I would fly in a crop duster first."

Pros: "I liked the price of the flight... That lasted until I realized that I would have to purchase "upgrades" such as carry-on (and opted instead for checking a bag since that oddly was cheaper)"
Cons: "Our flight was delayed over two hours due to weather for our incoming flight. Understandable, however, they gate agents never gave an explanation (also, all screens other than the one at the gate did not say our new departure time, only that it had a "new time"). When we were in the air and beginning out descent, we suddenly felt weightless and then very heavy in our seats. I looked to the left, out the window, and another airplane could be seen at our same altitude beyond our wing. For an idea of how close the other plane was, hold your thumb and forefinger two inches apart at arm's length. That's how big the other plane was from my vantage point. My mother in the front of the plane got motion sick from the maneuver (if it hadn't woken me from sleep, I probably would have been too). From my seat a few rows behind the wing, I could see the air brake panels come up on the wing. In addition, customer service has been a pain to deal with. Would not fly their airline again - would rather pay more and go elsewhere."

Cons: "The website to pre-check bags and pick seats were deceitful. 1st they tell you one price online for a checked bag, then when you get there oh no bag is too heavy, we are not like other airlines that give you up to 50 pounds, so you have to pay an extra $30 ....after I paid online for a checked bag for $42-ONE WAY. So a whopping $72 later for a ONE WAY ride...costs more than my actual plane ticket! Then I asked if I would've left the desk and went on my phone and ordered a heavier bag price would it have been cheaper? oh yes it would have....seriously? and You didn't tell me that why? oh yeah cuz you are shady. 2 out of 5 stars for Spirit! the plane staff were very nice, but the flight wouldn't even give you a glass of water-nope had to pay for a full bottle-$3. I thought I was getting a deal and ended up paying what I would have if I went directily on their website to get full price for a plane that gave you free drinks and snacks and free checked bag. Frontier was soooooo much better!!"

Pros: "I liked that the flight was a very good price."
Cons: "What I didn't like is that after I bought the ticket, I learned that I had to pay for a seat, I had to pay for checked bags of course, and I had to pay for carry on bags. What!?! About $150 for one checked and one carry on both ways.....which means I didn't really save any money on this "cheaper" flight. One more kicker is that I travel using my TSA number and SPIRIT airlines doesn't have an agreement with the TSA for their travelers to use pre-check. Wow. i wished someone had pointed out all the extra fares and fees"

Pros: "I paid for 5 tickets so I liked the price."
Cons: "It cost me more than the price of 1 ticket to check only 2 bags both ways for the 5 of us. Checking in in Orlando was the worst experience ever and I fly at least monthly. We were put in 3 different lines in 30 minutes. The last line we were put in, the agent said she would have to charge us for PRINTING OUT BOARDING PASSES though we were told to go to that line without boarding passes. Security was terrible experience. Took forever. I nearly missed the flight. The door had already been closed when I got there. Airline staff were surly even though it was not my fault. Flight was good. Will never fly Spirit again"

Pros: "Boarding and exiting were somewhat rapid. Got my bag rapidly at Lax. But...."
Cons: "This is the worst carrier I have ever flown. I will never never fly them again. I'm not sure what there business model is: "fly us once, then you'll know to never fly us again?" Are there ever repeat spirit customers? So strange. I get the bare fare concept, but who flys with no luggage at at? The nit picking things. Money for this, money for that. I just sucks. If you read this, save yourself the trouble. I flew them once, will never again. It was so terrible and uncomfortable I don't have the time to list out all of the shortcoming. I would avoid them at all costs, you can always drive."

Pros: "That we actually made it there..."
Cons: "Where to start... I understand the concept of a base fee and you pay a la carte for everything else but this only really works for a single person traveling with a small personal item ONLY. You are literally charged for EVERYTHING. Which is mostly stated on their website with the exception of the checked bag and carry on fees of $50 and $55, respectively. Those fees can vary depending on who you ask....And even though they say you can save by using the kiosk ($20 to go to the counter), we ended up going to the counter anyway because the kiosk could not complete our transaction!!! On our return, we had to go through customs which requires you to get your checked bag (decided to save the $5 and check it on the way home), go through customs and then drop off your checked bag to continue your flight. Well, the Spirit representative decided it would be a great time to take a break and be completely MIA from their post. We had to go completely out of the terminal and back to a counter to recheck our bag. Resulting in a very close call on not making our connecting flight. The long and short of it all: We "Saved" $100.00 total on the initial ticket purchase. We paid over $220.00 ADDITIONAL to have our one carry on and sit next to each other ($20.00 each seat, each leg of trip). Never flying Spirit again and have been telling everyone not to. Bad Spirit!"

Cons: "On both flights, not one flight attendant even said hello. On my return flight to Orlando, one flight attendant talked loudly about his personal finance plan, while the father of 3 kids across the aisle climbed the chairs like a jungle gym, in flight. The flight attendants never attempted to talk to the man & let him know his kids needed to be seated for safety. Everyone within 10 rows of this family had a terrible flight & no staff even attempted to acknowledge any of it. I will never fly Spirit again."

Pros: "Absolutely nothing"
Cons: "Everything. Not only was the flight's departure delayed by two hours, but once we were finally able to board the flight, the a/c wasn't working. After taxiing aimlessly for 45 minutes in the Dallas summer sun with no air conditioning, the pilot announced we would have to return to the gate so that "the engine could be started". Fortunately, at this time, the air conditioning was also repaired. After an additional 1 hour and 15 minutes of repairs, taxiing and waiting, we finally departed after a total delay of 3 hours. Upon landing in New Orleans, we were forced to wait for an additional hour while we waited for our gate to clear. All in all, we arrived 4 hours after our initial arrival time, and spent 3 hours on a plane for a 1 hour and 8 minute flight."

Pros: "I thought the seats were decent, and the aisle is wider than most."
Cons: "I didn't like the fact that only one bathroom was working. The price for luggage is OUTRAGEOUS. There was pretty much no service from the flight attendants. This was the first time I've flown with Spirit and it will be the last. I should have known better than to not book with Delta or Southwest. Even though you lure customers in with your initial low price but than you nickel and dime the customers to death with fees for everything and the extreme high cost for luggage, that your initial ticket price became higher than the other two carriers initial price. Shame on you!"
