  • Looking for a cheap flight? 25% of our users found flights on this route for $99 or less one-way and $218 or less round-trip.
  • To reach Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) from downtown, the most convenient option is to use the JTA Skyway, a fully automated monorail system that connects downtown Jacksonville to the airport. Jacksonville International Airport is only 14 miles away, and the Line 1 bus takes approximately one hour to reach the airport from downtown. The bus service runs hourly every day from 5:30 am to 11:30 pm.
  • An alternative airport to consider flying out of instead of Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) is Orlando International Airport (MCO). MCO is larger and offers a wider range of flights and airline options to fly to Richmond. Therefore, there is generally a higher likelihood of more frequent flights and potentially better deals.
  • We recommend JetBlue for a flight with kids. Families have the advantage of being able to select seat assignments at the time of booking. This allows parents to ensure that they are seated together with their children. Moreover, JetBlue has a generous child equipment policy since you can bring one stroller and one car seat on board for free.
  • Book an airline with a lounge at JAX for a comfortable and relaxing environment away from the crowded terminal, allowing passengers to unwind before their flight. The Delta Sky Club at JAX airport, for example, boasts a variety of food and beverage options, including alcoholic beverages.
  • Book a flight with a layover and reduce the risk of delays and cancellations, as you can reroute in case of disruptions. Delta has a layover at Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson (ATL), while American Airlines has a layover at Charlotte Douglas (CLT), Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), or Miami (MIA). For a stop at Washington, D.C. Dulles Intl (IAD), consider United Airlines.

Overall good. Plenty of legroom and fairly comfortable seats. No issues with capacity and the overhead been even though most people brought several carry-ons on. I don’t think Breeze really enforces the pay for a carry-on rule.

My experience is typically great with Breeze. This trip wasn’t any different.

I would have liked to listen to music and that was not a choice. Would have liked a meal on almost 5 hour flight. 1st class not as nice as others.

Great! Only problem is we can’t use the northbound flight on this route as it arrives much too late and is not non-stop.

This was my first time flying your airline and it was okay. The people were nice but I am not used to all the add ons and no movies or even water. But I knew it was going to be that way. I think I prefer paying for the extras to be more comfortable.

This was the first time that I traveled on Breeze Airways and I was very surprised at how well everything went. The flights attendants were very friendly and always had a smile in their face. I will not hesitate to travel on them again.

Even though the flight was delayed my overall experience was great!

Did not like the fact that I was charged to take on a bag I usually put in the overhead

My flight was delayed, not by much.?very good communication during fest and waiting to board.

Outside of a 30min delay getting back home; this an excellent airline and will definitely use again.

SW can't get their wifi right. I upgrade to insure wifi service but the last two trips had intermittent service. Not worth the extra costs.

It was great. The gate staff were very helpful in Portland when my son forgot his rolling bag and had to go back to get it just in time to make it on the plane. We really appreciate that. Great job!

Kayak could’ve posted the correct gate number. Almost missed my flight.

Slow boarding, limited food and drink portions. Bad delays and turbulence

The checking experience in Orlando was terrible, almost missed the flight. Too many travelers and Southwest completely understaffed.

Truly terrible. Will never willingly fly southwest again. Seats are worse than before they switched to assigned seating. One flight attendant was the opposite of helpful (rude, unhelpful, dismissive, and as my stranger seatmate said unprompted: a total prick). This caused me, 15 minutes into the flight, to book an alternate return flight home on a competing airline (first class 1.2k purchase instead of my existing planned flight) just so I would not have to ever be on that aircraft, with that terrible service person, with those horrific seats ever again.

WIFI was great. My selection for seating is an aisle, but during my trip, I never had an aisle seat. If we can get that corrected, I will be thrilled. No snack or drink on this flight.

Departure was delayed more than 1/2 hour while we waited for luggage (only) transfer from another flight/plane. Once approved for takeoff, the flight was excellent.

The crew and everyone on board was wonderful, We had to wait for a flight attendant to come from Orlando to Jax after a sudden illness., We left an hour late and “missed “ our connection.flight. The plane was held for us but we were told that our bags probably wouldn’t make the flight even though we would and would have to return to the airport in Boston pick up our late luggage or choose to fly on the same flight as our luggage. We chose to wait 4 hours on the next flight with our luggage and missed our first day in Boston for our grand daughter’s 10th bday celebration. When we arrived on the next flight, our luggage was sitting in a room waiting on us - evidently it did make out original flight., We were given meal vouchers in Baltimore for our delay which we really appreciated and thought was a very kind gesture by Southwest - sudden illnesses are not their fault., I just feel like we would not have missed an entire day in Boston if you offered more early morning direct flights and /or had offered to deliver our luggage to the hotel instead of us having to return to the airport to retrieve our luggage on the next flight due to a technicality - it wasn't “lost luggage”. Other than that , it was a perfect flight .

Always dependable. No surprises. That’s how I like to fly!

Aside from a completely packed plane, I really have no complaints.

The flight was very good and the staff was very friendly and helpful!

I was told that they needed to check my bag at the gate and to pick it up at the gate in Richmond. No big deal. I know they can't control the weather, but we flew around RIC for 45 minutes to avoid the storm and were 25 minutes late leaving as well. Once we landed, we were told to go to baggage claim to pick up our luggage. I went to bathroom, paid for parking, and went to the assigned baggage claim location. United flight people came down with us as well. They got their luggage immediately. Next, South West people came down about 10 minutes later. They got their luggage next. We finally got our luggage around 30 minutes in waiting. Was not a wonderful experience. No reflection on Delta, but the ground crew was lousy at best.

We landed and sat on the tarmac for 45 minutes because they only have one gate at the airport and there was another plane running late so we had to wait

Flight was delayed and no reasons provided. After the passengers were boarded, the crew made announcement that the captain has jot arrived and he would take another 15 mins. All passengers patiently sat until the captain came and started. Terrible experience!

The food is terrible. The staff is wonderful. Comfort is good.

Excellent check-in. Crew was good. Excellent communication from flight deck.

Amazing flight! I have never noticed the uniforms of the attendants before in twenty years of flying except today when one female had the most amazing dress on. It was beautifully designed and showed she was in charge. I never dreamed I would google who designed Delta uniforms . The ultimate compliment is when another woman admires your outfit. . I hope your designer puts it on the market

Seats were really tight and the seat belts did not give enough slack.

Flight was changed from departing from Boston to departing from Detroit.

Awful. Original flight was delayed 5 hours. Had to to take a connecting flight instead of direct. Had a 4 hour layover. I missed all of my morning meetings getting in 5 hours later than I was supposed to and had to change to take a later flight the next day to get them back in which cia time another $150.

It was very difficult to stretch my knee out and I am very short. I also had a torn tendon in my knee which made it extra uncomfortable anyways. My husband is 6'2" and I can't imagine him flying in that plane.

3 hour weather delay followed by 1 hour (and counting) maintenance delay. UGH!

I was late from Jacksonville, FL but the limited interaction I had with the Philly crew was great.

Delayed almost 4 hours for a 45 minute flight with no explanation.

The flight was excellent, provided that we had inclement weather. We departed earlier than scheduled and arrived early. There was a little turbulence, but nothing to be worried about.

Delayed 4 hours from Charlotte to Nashville. Could have driven there faster. Information provided by AA was sparse.

Gate change was a little tough but it was a good flight otherwise

I disliked that I didn’t have a flight today, not entirely sure why I’m being asked

Great flight, great service but most of all- our luggage made the trip with us.,
