Logging in 24 hours ahead to get a seat was incredibly inconvenient--I happened to be in a museum and without WiFi. (It could have been in the middle of the night or on a connecting plane.) I then had trouble entering all the required data and was finally told I had to wait 24 hours to try again-- that made no sense because I had to be on my flight 24 hours later. As a senior citizen who struggles with using the internet, it is particularly difficult. PLEASE let people choose a seat when making a reservation WITHOUT charging extra."

Also, even as a slim person, the seats are crammed together so we all knock elbows and I am disappointed that all the airlines continue to reduce space. Arrival at Logan, Boston was a nightmare...2 hours to get through passport control, customs and baggage pick up. Don't fly into Boston at 9pm Saturday night! I flew outbound with AerLingus and the leg room was better so I will look to fly with them next time."

Cons: "Announcement was made to all passengers inn rows 20-40 or so to line up, which we did. Then, we were told only priority passengers were to be boarding. Priority passengers asked where their linne was, and a BA crew member snappishly answered "where the sign says Priority". The sign wasn't able to be seen, and these passengers shouldn't have been faulted for BA's ineptness. After being checked in, I asked an another BA agent where to go. Upon arriving at the aircraft, I was rather frostily told "you're onn the wrong level" and pointed to the stairs. I let them know that I was on the 2nd level due to the direction of the BA staff. My seat space was reduced to a mere 12" when the passenger in front of me abruptly reclined his seat all the way back."

And I have to state WHY this BA flight was delayed - because they "had problem getting the catering on board" thus missed runway time. Anyways, since I was rebooked I went to my new gate, waited many hours to hve another issue, where they couldnt find my new seat in system and changed, and again flight was delayed this time due to having a flat tire... Common BA, seems your quality dropped 99%."

When they heard about our plight at LHR Term. 5 when connecting to this flight, they were very considerate and offered to send in a report (still waiting for the result of this, no contact yet 6 days later). Again, the luggage space and lie-flat seats (Club World) and meals (except my gluten-free meal) were very good, as was entertainment and cleanliness of the plane and lavs. This flight was supposed to be delayed by two hours, but in the end, they managed to take off at the originally scheduled time. More good news: the flight was smooth and arrived on time and most importantly, safely. Luggage arrived quickly and in good condition on the carousel. BA is really good!"

Cons: "Heavy fog on London pushed my Nice-Heathrow 2h from even taking off, so they knew and could plan on coordinating the delay. yet, they didn't even delay the Heathrow-Boston flight 5minutes (surprised it kept its spot in the supposed heavy fog for take off). One thing that made matters worse on each way was that Heathrow has a mandatory security check in the middle of a flight connection even if you don't go out of the airport and don't want to check England. This wastes a lot of time in transfers, prevents people from carrying liquids they might have acquired, and makes tired passengers wait in line for another 1h or more, and get themselves in those machines, which is very frowned upon to opt-out of. I like the food on BA in general - good quality meat without tendons or too much fat, and overall nicely cooked. However their strength is in Indian food, and they should limit English food to 1 token per tray (mince pie ok, but the bitter coleslaw was inedible and sometimes we just need direction as I am just realizing now what the cotted curd was for: the minced pie). Not a horrible experience, but with 5h20 arrival delay, you'd think they'd offer me more than $6 for lunch! Finally, I hated having to wait in a random place until 1h before my flight and then dropping everything I was doing to run to my gate last minute."

This is absolutely unreasonable and inexcusable made even worse that we had already had a very long journey from Milan to JFK with two small children. Evidently the issue was that we booked via a 3rd party off the kayak site and not directly with British airways. When American airways changed the flight from 3.30 to 3.25, the 3rd party company failed to file for our updated itinerary so British air/American air bumped us to the next flight at 9.20pm. We have long been loyal to kayak feeling it provides the best breadth of options and good pricing. Now we may use kayak to see all the options but I can’t booking directly with kayak anymore after this complete disaster. We ended up renting a car and driving from jfk to Boston, getting home 23 hours after our journey had started, stressed, beyond exhausted and now have to return the rental car. Thanks kayak."

No one had notified us of our new booking on a 9:10 flight to Boston. We arrived in Boston at 12:02 am, 11 1/2 hours after our arrival at JFK from Rome. This was not a very friendly welcome home. However, on the flight from PHX to BOS, all seats in the economy class have the same leg room. The agent explicitly told us that on this plane all seats are the same. So, they offer product they do not have and collect money. Sounds like a scam to me."

Cons: "We boarded the plane at 1:30 for a 2:00 flight, there was a filter out in one of the three bathrooms; the option to take a 45 min flight without use of the restrooms was there, we were told to use the restroom if we needed to before the flight so everyone did... then we continued to sit on the ground for two hours. After two hours we were allowed to get off the plane, 20 minutes later back onto the plane, backed away from the gate and then pulled into a different gate and were told to get back off the plane. At this point we were given no info or direction but to go talk to special services if we want to re-book a different flight (sold out until at the earliest 8:15pm). After about an hour they announce they are re-boarding the original plane, takes another 45 minutes to board the plane, then we are told two separate issues caused this lengthy delay one was a filter in the bathroom and the other was a thermostat... seems like very basic standard maintenance issues that could have been avoided with routine checks. We were offered zero compensation, the trip took over 6 hours in all to fly from Philadelphia PA to Boston MA; a trip I could have driven in less time. I continue to have issues with American Airlines and "mechanical" delays, the last flight i was on From Charlotte to Baltimore was delayed an hour due to a strap in the cargo area. I don't understand the logic behind the decisions made to hold the full plane over 5 hours instead of taking a 45 minute flight, but I will say the crew was very apologetic and handled the situation well."

So I asked for a screwdriver to remove the battery, The supervisor said no and proceed to treat me as a criminal. After one of the staff lent me tools and I removed the battery the supervisor asked for my name but off we went to board our flight. Before boarding however, my wife and I were called in for a 'random' security inspection. The experience was very unpleasant. It was discrimination and retaliation by someone abusing their authority. Very dissapointed on the United staff and their customer service."

P.S. the service at the Houston counter were rude and awful except for Ms. Edwards"

He remained calm throughout, knew exactly how to assess and handle the situation, even helping the spouse who was emotional given her husband's condition. He tended to the family the entire flight. He went above and beyond and I hope he is recognized for his outstanding and exemplary efforts ."
