Cons: "No seat back entertainment.."
Pros: "The best other than the fact it was packed full lol but that’s not Deltas fault"
Pros: "The flight itself was excellent. Friendly, helpful, kind — great attendants and crew."
Cons: "The flight was delayed 4 hours. We never found out why exactly. That was a little tough but staff was great"
Cons: "Way too cramped"
Pros: "Boarding was very efficient. Flight attendants were helpful and kind and seemed to care."
Cons: "We booked basic seats knowing we might not sit together however we did not know they would separate children. They put my husband and I in an exit row and my daughter at the back of the plane with strangers. I was not comfortable with strangers being responsible for my child. I assumed they would seat children with at least one parent. We did ask to move at the gate and the accommodated us with the last row on the plane. No recline, no window, and right next to the bathrooms. We took it to be with our kid but this policy needs to be revised. Kids should always be seated with the adult responsible for them... who knows what kind of person might end up next to my child. Not to mention if she had needed something is the stranger gonna take care of it? It’s just a bad practice imo."
Pros: "Quick and easy boarding and departing. Wonderful and friendly staff."
Cons: "Honestly, everything was great. Food and entertainment were a little lacking but for a 3 hour flight it was more than acceptable."
Pros: "Great crew, prompt and courteous despite the short flight"
Cons: "Flight departed an hour past scheduled time due to a snafu with flight attendants: they were either absent or really late or a replacement crew. Unacceptable personnel management."

Pros: "Went very smoothly. Very comfortable."
Cons: "Can't think of anything."
Pros: "The crew was polite and pleasant unlike the crew from KC to Boston."
Cons: "Telling us to check bags before we get to our seat and find out there is no more room."
Pros: "Departure dealyed more than 2h."
Cons: "Flight crew begging for good score/rating. They literally did nothing. No service. No nothing. Why would you get a 5 when you literally did nothing. Maybe a 3 at best. But pleading for a 5. Sorry. You get a 1"
Cons: "Just a bunch of weather delays because of the bad storms. I did not like the selection of movies and tv shows on the delta flight. So I just listened to podcast in my phone. But other than that everything was great."
Pros: "Helpful crew."
Cons: "These planes are tiny. Our equipment was B717."
Pros: "Use my built up miles for the SEA-ANC leg of our trip, as to physically price it out as one ticket usually increases the fare by 300-600 u$d depending upon time of year. As it was the tail end of an already long journey (OKA-ICN/ICN-SEA), booked the First Class Cabin. Every mile was worth it."
Pros: "Small plane without bells and whistles and no middle seats."
Cons: "The internet would not work. I couldn’t use any of the inflight entertainment."
Pros: "United Airlines culturally has a very big issue. The crews are not friendly and the seating is awful."
Pros: "We had the worst flight ever on Delta flight worst Attitude of the flight attendant she was very Rude i even told her she was"

Pros: "Wonderful friendly crew. Comfy seat. Very pleasantly impressed with the comfort on a CRJ900 -- windows are large and closer to eye level, standing room is enough."
Pros: "Every one but the gate agent at Detroit going to Seattle at 7:40 loading time on 4-11-19. She was mean and curt and would not get my seat corrected I had to sprint for at least a mile to even make it. We landed the same time they were boarding"
Cons: "The attendants on the Detroit to Seattle flight suggested I go talk to the gate agent to get my seat corrected. They said the flight was not full. So I did. To be greeted again by the mean agent you told me to take my rear and get it on the plane that the attendants didn’t know anything"
Cons: "Never made it because of my originating flight"
Cons: "The airline cancelled the flight alluring weather conditions, when the reality was they did not wanted the plane to park in Kansas. The weather conditions were even worse on the flight I was moved to, and that flight was not cancelled. They absolutely did not care about the passengers"

Pros: "I did not like anything all. But the to last agent to help me after I was send to different airlines"
Cons: "And when I get to US delta Airline ticketr did not even look at my ticket she just send to Virginia Australia make me walk all over. I know it supposed to be delta"
Pros: "The flight was nearly full, but I lucked out. One person in my row did not show up, so myself and the other lady in my row had the benefit of having an open seat in between us. The crew was cheerful and accommodating. They did the normal beverage service, but also brought complimentary water and coffee 3x during the rest of the flight. This was greatly appreciated, especially after 5 days of drinking and partying. My buddies and I spent two and a half days in Las Vegas for a bachelor party followed by two days in the LA area for a wedding (yes we did it Hangover style) :) Thank you Delta!"
Cons: "My only complaint was that the flight was delayed out of LAX by about 30 minutes due to the flight in-bound being delayed. However, the captain made up most of this time in the air so it ended up being a non-issue."
Cons: "We were on the tarmac for almost 2 hours. It's probably LaGuardia but the experience was very bad."
Pros: "Quick flight"
Pros: "Great staff, plenty of room, efficient snack and drink delivery, effluent boarding"
Pros: "Made the best of a overcrowded messy airport"

Cons: "Couldn't recline in my emergency exit row"
Cons: "Delays. Ways late."
Pros: "The service and non stop smooth ride. Boarding was a new experiance taking a bus to the plane. Was quick and crew helpful storing my carryon. Everyone very helpful."
Pros: "The quick flight was nice, the flight attendants were super sweet and kind and were willing to give me extra snacks when I requested for them. No screens on this flight, but understandable since it was such a short flight :)"
Cons: "New policy regarding lack of beverage service, particularly since I was in Delta Comfort. No drinks available."
Cons: "Flight attendant late arriving to his job causing a 30 minute delay in boarding. Desk staff at airport seemed more interested in their own conversations than helping passengers . Fight attendants seemed uninterested in their jobs and lacked warmth. 45 minutes late arriving in Kansas City no announcements from captain"
Pros: "I liked that the plane was newer and the box snack was really good."
Cons: "Nothing really"
Pros: "Flights were on time..."
Cons: "Worst seats ever. Uncomfortable. Didn't recline and were supposed to. Was told by the attendant "that's too bad. It's supposed to" when I mentioned it."

Pros: "Gate attendant kept us informed frequently as to the status of the flight"
Cons: "Rudeness/snappiness of the stewardesses"
Cons: "I did not like that the airline would not give a seat on an earlier flight so that I would not have to spend so many hours in the Chicago O'Hare airport. I did not like that the airport only allowed me thirty minutes of access to the internet. As a result, I could not work while I had to wait for my flight. Finally, I did not like that the airline lost or delayed my bag."
Pros: "Crew was pleasant"
Cons: "Needed to return to gate to refuel after aborted takeoff attempt. Thi"
Cons: "Flight was 1.5 hours delayed with another 1 hour delay on the tarmac"

Cons: "Had to wait on the crew Short fight rushed service"
Cons: "Flight was delayed due to a "computer problem" that was subsequently deemed to be eligible for a paperwork fix."
Pros: "The price is competitive. On boarding was ontime. Though the flight was redirected to Omaha due to bad weather in Kansas City, it was only an hour late than the scheduled arrival to Kansas City."
Cons: "The WiFi was not as expected. In flight entertainment is null. Snack would have been better."
Pros: "Nice plane when we finally boarded it. Crew was very professional."
Cons: "Endless advisories, the official explanation of the flight delay and estimated departure was constantly in flux."
Pros: "The seats were very comfortable"
Cons: "Just wish the bag checked staff would've been more polite"
Pros: "very good no problems.."
Cons: "all good thanks much"
Pros: "Flight was delayed but boarding at DCA was very efficient and quick"
Cons: "Flight attendants seemed bothered by something and weren't very nice. They looked/seemed tired. Cabin lights were on the whole time for a ~3 hour flight which began at 830pm."
Cons: "No food. No entertainment"
Cons: "The AA employee at the counter in Batoj Rouge informed me that I would miss my connection at Charlotte Airport due to a delayed in the incoming flight. Hebgave me the option to flight the next day or flight the same day, and after a 2 hour delay flight to Charlotte where I would be provided a hotel room and a meal for the night. I asked several times if that information was confirmed and he repeatedly said yes. At my arrival at Charlotte Airport (near midnight) every AA employee said that they did NOT have any more hotels. It was obvious that everything was a staged lie since over 100 people had to spend the night in one of the the terminals where we were provided a pillow and a blanket. I am terribly disappointed for the lack of transparency in AA. I was told my some friends that they also have had experiences like that at the same Charlotte Airport. You have damage once again your reputation and from no own in will expect THE WORST from AA."
Pros: "Crew very courteous"
Cons: "Flight was delayed 2 hours. I couldn't run my business that way!"
Pros: "Free entertainment"
Cons: "Spacing is really tight"
"Happy to see coffee was served and the air hostesses were v.attentive. Thanks."
Pros: "Crew was terrific"
Cons: "Cabin was a little cool"
Pros: "Got seated at row 2 so practically I was the first one to disembark. There's only one stewardess who took care of us and she did very well."
Cons: "The plane is so small that I don't have above head compartment so I had to put all my stuff under seat in front and I don't have space to put my leg."
Cons: "Very very delayed. Made traveling home difficult on me and my family."
Cons: "The airline cancelled my return flight home from a Venice without notifying me because they said I was. “No show” on my previous flight over. This was absolutely not true. To cancel someone’s flight and not alert them is highly unethical."
Cons: "Flight to Houston delayed due to air traffic"
Pros: "Crew was great and seats were comfy"
Cons: "The delay was horrible and the captain said it was because they needed extra sleep. I found this offensive as i was trying to complete a very long trip and was exhausted."
Cons: "Nothing. It was what you expect. Comfortable transportation and no crashes."
Pros: "The gate agent kept us well informed about our delayed flight - she kept calling to find out status of the flight and reported her findings to us after every call. United provided water and snacks in the gate area as we waited. Gate agent was pleasant and helpful to everyone during the delay."
Cons: "Got a call at 3:00 am saying our flight would be delayed an hour from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. and offered optional flights at no charge. Stayed with original flight since this was a direct flight. The flight ended up being 3 1/2 hours late. We had to wait for a ferried plane from Chicago. Just wondering if United knew at 3:00 am that they had problems, why did it take 13 hours for them to resolve it?"
Pros: "Smooth landing."
Cons: "No compensation, no manager available because they were dealing with the same issue at another gate. Where is the customer service?"
Pros: "Departure was on time. Surprisingly, had row to myself, allowed for more leg room. Flight itself was smooth."
Cons: "One beverage service only. My flight to Sf had two services which included free pretzels. Attendant did not return down aisle to check on passengers after first beverage service. Seats of plane in both directions for non stop flights very uncomfortable. With no lean back seats hard to find good sleep position. I tend to sleep through early morning flights."
Pros: "Comfortable, quick, and great service."
Cons: "No food."
Pros: "Crew was lovely."
Cons: "I had to gate check my bag and then waited 45 minutes to get it back."
Pros: "Nothing special"
Cons: "Seats very dirty sticky Not clean at all"
Cons: "Due to United delays in Bogota we were put on a standby flight 3 hours later. We didn't get on. Then had another connection two hours later that was delayed due to maintenance. Spent over 10 hours in airport. And over a total of 30 hours traveling ☹️"
Pros: "The flight crew seemed worn and a bit surly. They ran out of two of the meals and the one I got was oddly seasoned but it was warm. We sat on the ground quite a while while they fixed the PA system with no water then there was a women they'd let on the flight even though she had a different destination - supposedly they spent an hour looking for her bag on the plane. Do you hold up a whole plane load of people that got on the right plane for the woman that didn't and how come when they checked her ticket - no one noticed?"
Pros: "I paid extra for Economy Plus. That should be the standard seating."
Cons: "Any flight where passengers have no chance to eat should provide more than a cookie."
Pros: "We toured the Boeing plant in Everett (Seatle.) I wish I had bought a T-shirt I saw in the gift shop. It read, "If it ain't Boeing, I ain't going.""
Cons: "Except in the row right behind 1st Class, the seats are kinda crammed (in.) On a commercial on one flight, during the spiel about safety, the movie screen showed about 5 or 6 cabin attendants putting up their trays in prep for landing. Tey all leaned forward as far as they could to reach their trays. I looked around. I could reach my tray with my arms at my sides. If the actual airplane had had it'w seats spaced apart as in the movie, the plane would have been fully loaded with some 35 passengers. I forgot what airline it was, maybe yours?"
Pros: "We made it home alive, so that's the main thing."
Cons: "Three hour delay, which wasn't clearly explained. From others waiting with us, we gathered that flights were delayed fur to some travel plans for POTUS. Does that always happen? I can't imagine it does."
Pros: "Captain was communicative before departure and during flight Boarding was orderly"
Cons: "After aircraft was parked a strange loud noise could have been heard for 30 seconds. Would be nice if a crew member (flight attendant or captain) assured passengers that it was normal. Noise didn't seem normal and I was very concerned. No infotainment options."
Pros: "That transportation was available in Chicago."
Cons: "No problems."
Pros: "The crew was again nice enough to find an empty seat next to mine."
Cons: "The layover was very short. Fortunately, the gates were very close together. However, since I didn't have time to get lunch in the terminal, I had a snack box for lunch, too. This was rather monotonous. There aren't enough chocolate choices on the snack menu. There were no limes for my beverage. There was no in-flight entertainment available. I had hoped to finish the movie I started on the first leg."
Cons: "I understand aircraft safety is paramount, but 2 hour delay also meant we missed dinner reservation at destination on Mother's Day"
Cons: "The gate in Newark was a dump and the boarding process was chaotic"
Pros: "on schedule even though ORD had some weather issues but yes good flight.."
Pros: "Staff and the pilot got us to our destination safely and with out complications."
Pros: "Very good"
Pros: "Boarding and crew were good"
Cons: "No comfort at all. Plane was jam packed and I had no leg room, arm rests would not come up, no free wifi or free entertainment."
Pros: "First class it was owsome"
Pros: "Employees need to understand that many people who don't fly often have an anxiety about the whole process. Being friendly and helpful goes a long way in making the experience less of a hassle. United seems to understand this and for the most part their employees were very friendly and helpful. I will choose united whenever possible."
Cons: "TSA employees need to lighten up. I think they can still do their job and be friendly at the same time. They all seem to hate their jobs"
Pros: "Though the airplane arrived late for boarding (due to inclement weather and air-traffic), the airline worked fast to make sure that the plane was clean and ready to board. The hostesses were very kind and helpful."
Cons: "There were no gluten-free options for snacks. There was no entertainment, which isn't really a problem for shorter flights."
Pros: "Quick flight."
Cons: "Flight was delayed for 40 minutes because of "paperwork" according to the pilot. We boarded the plane on time however had to sit on it during the delay. We were not informed of what was going on until we had already been waiting for 30 minutes. When they informed us of the delay they offered everyone free direct TV in flight to make up for the delay. Once we finally took off they announced that the direct TV was not actually working. The flight attendant making the announcements was not sincere and rather unprofessional. Luckily the pilot flew fast so we ended up arriving only 10 minutes late."
Cons: "Long boarding and delayed flight, lots of walking"
Cons: "We have to pay for food on a 2 hour flight? Just snacks, no meal even though it was dinner time. The stewardess doing announcements was obnoxious. She had an odd way of speaking with strange pauses, she kept calling it Kansas instead of Kansas City, and she made condescending remarks about it."
Cons: "It was a small, commuter plane and everyone was to gate check any carry-on that wouldn't fit under the seat, like rolling bag. My neighbor did not check his and took up more than half of my leg room. He was NOT friendly and I was not willing to anger him by complaining. But he should not have been allowed to bring it on board. This was a United flight, not Lufthansa."
Cons: "The flight was delayed by over 4 hours, there was no clarity on what was going on. They made us change aircrafts, the ground staff was mean at best. In spite of the 4 hour wait they didn't even bother serving food or made any announcement to handle passenger anxiety and concerns. Delays are sometimes unavoidable and I have had experiences in the past but none that was handled this unprofessionally"
Pros: "I made it to the airport safe and sound."
Cons: "It was a complete cluster as if no one knew what was going on. Once we were finally able to board we sat on the plane for an additional 30 minutes or so because the air conditioning went out on the plan and we all had to sit there in the scalding heat while they fixed it."
Pros: "I'm not a frequent flyer so I can only compare to my 2 United trips (1 last year and the most recent) but the experience was great. Thanks"
Pros: "Nothing to like"
Cons: "Did not like having my flight pushed back and back and back, to then be cancelled due to "air traffic control". Did not like my flight being rescheduled to 3 days later and that day being 4th of July. Did not like buying another flight for $300 so I could get to where I was going."
Cons: "When I boarded the plane, I noticed crumbs and grease marks on my seat and crackers all over the floor at my feet. Rather than clean my area, the stewardess handed me wet wipes."
Pros: "The flights were all on time, we had no problem getting through TSA, despite the fact that the airport tonight open until 4 AM for our 530 departure from Lafayette, Louisiana . United agents were there to get us through quickly at 4:15 AM. Because we were being met in Managua at noon and moving in with families that afternoon, there was a little margin for error."
Cons: "There was nothing not to like."
Pros: "The time of departure was 5:30 AM, and I was concerned that we'd have trouble with TSA, competing with other early morning flights at a small airport whose terminal only opens at 4 AM. But the United ticket counter handled us efficiently and we were seated in the boarding area at 4:25."
Cons: "Nothing to not like. Everything went smoothly and we arrived in Nicaragua on time and the rest of our complicated plans for the day went perfectly. And that wouldn't have happened if we had run into glitches."
Cons: "We were delayed, no big deal. Then we got on the plane and set there on a hot plane for over 30 minutes waiting."
Pros: "It's was quick."
Cons: "Delayed a bit but mostly ok."
Pros: "The professional services"
Cons: "Cramped leg space"
Pros: "Good flight attendants"
Cons: "Small seats"
Cons: "Didn't have a plane for us. Over 3 1/2 hour delay. Every time I fly this airline there is an issue with the flights."
Cons: "The flight was delayed and we ended up being deplaned. Missed our connecting flight despite the crew telling us repeatedly that they would wait for us. Currently waiting for any word from the staff at the airport in Orlando."
Pros: "Great smooth flight"
Cons: "More substantial food choices"
Pros: "On time."
Cons: "When I asked about the empty front seat I was told ‘I could upgrade and pay just Lee lady sitting next to the open seat’."
Cons: "The boarding in Orlando could have been smoother or they would have let us board sooner and we were a little late arriving."
Pros: "seats are hard as heck"
Cons: "dont charge for water n coffee - cheap bastards"
Cons: "My flight was a party plane. Control the passengers better."
Pros: "Seats could use a little thicker padding. No tilt back adjustment on seat."
Cons: "At least free water"
Pros: "The crew was very nice. Sitting up front was nice and felt more comfortable"
Cons: "More social distancing in the process and hand sanitizer prior to getting on plane. Plastic barriers between each seat."
Pros: "Children were split when random seating was given. I didn’t choose my seats because I thought they would be sat with someone in our party but we were in complete different rows and seats. The crew found a whole row for us but had to pay $60 for them to do so."
Cons: "Seat children with parents or older siblings."
Pros: "Everything was great. The crew was amazing & I felt very comfortable"
Cons: "But a five hour delay on top of an already 5 hour layover was extremely exhausting. I know it is out of everyone’s control so I do not blame spirit"
Cons: "The flight attendants were extremely loud and inconsiderate on this flight. With it being a later evening flight usually flight attendants are quieter to allow people to sleep. On this flight however, the flight attendants were extremely loud the whole time, laughing and just not being considerate of the rest of us that wanted to sleep. I have never experienced this on a flight before. They were so loud we heard their entire conversation from what they did on their free time in the summer, to what they think about game of thrones & talking about their fitness. They were loud the entire flight."
Cons: "Excellent service"
Pros: "On my way to new orleans i was late to the airport because i was at the vet to put my cat to sleep. His sickness came on very fast and unexpected for a young cat. It was, to say the least, an awful thing. He was my best buddy and i was feeling pretty crushed. When i arrived at the gate the door to the plane was closed making my already bad day worse. Thankfully a kind hearted member of your groundcrew sympathized with me and had the crew open the door andlet me on the plane. I didnt know that EVER happened. It was the nicest thing that has happened to me at an airport ever. Thank You. On a bad day you guys at Spirit Air gave me a lift i sorely needed. Again, Thank You!"
Pros: "I was pleasantly surprised there were no delays, we departed and landed on time."
Pros: "Price was good & competitive... personnel on board pretty accomodating to your needs. However, they should take more control to passengers activities... had woman in front of me cursung in conversation the whole flight which i didnt need to hear w/my 13yr old son, had people across aisle loudly listening to RAP music WHICH I DIDNT CARE TO HEAR... 2 rows down asking for drink refills the whole flight. I'm a paying customer expecting my flight to be comfortable... not expecting for my flight experience to be shared with others nusance."
Cons: "Spirit personnel on ground need customer service training !!! You feel like a burden to them for help not realizing you buying ticket is job security for them... They're not professional in attitude & this is the difference between Spirit & other airlines !!!! Soooo bottom line... you pay bottom deal prices and have to expect bottom deal experience. Is it worth the savings & extra charges for seat/bags... depends on the savings & your tolerance ... i guess"
Cons: "ALL THE EXTRA COSTS ARE RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!! It’s very misleading to have a reasonable flight price, making it appear like it’s a good fare when actually the end result/price is MUCH MORE than other reputable airlines. An outrageous fee for luggage whether it be carry on or checked; a ridiculous fee for a seat if you want to sit next to a family member; a fee to check in at the airport if you don’t check in online; no complimentary beverages/water and expensive fees for a nonalcoholic beverage on a FOUR HOUR FLIGHT. SPIRIT AIRLINES IS VERY MISLEADING!!! Their motto of “only pay for what you use“ is outrageous!!!!!!! ALSO, if you think you can actually speak to someone from their 1-800 number, think again!! Something was wrong with their website when I tried to pay for the luggage 24 hours prior to check in and it wouldn’t allow me. I could NEVER actually speak to anyone for 2 days. So we had to pay $100 at the airport for TWO SMALL pieces of luggage. We will use the airline to get back home but will never use spirit again."
Pros: "Nothing to write here"
Cons: "Didn't like baggage fees for carry-ons, didn't like paying for seats to ensure that my wife and I sat together because she has travel anxiety, didn't like having to pay for a ginger ale on the plane, didn't like small tray tables and the fact that the seats did not recline, didn't like that there was no entertainment on the flight (screens, music, charging capability for phone). I understand the appeal of "pay what services you want" as there were many services that we "needed", and because of that we certainly paid for them. In addition to our airfare, we paid $32 for seats, $160 for 2 carry-ons and 1 checked bag, and then $6 for 2 ginger ales to help settle our stomachs for the flight. It was very unexpected. Spirit did reimburse us $60 as a one-time courtesy because this was our first time flying with Spirit, and we did not know what to expect, but had we not complained, we would have gotten nothing."
Pros: "I will never fly spirit again. I thought that I would be saving money, and yet I spent more on this budget flight, than I would with delta or American airlines. I was charged twice for carry on and check in, because I had to stop over in florida to transfer. So, on top of the flight costs, I paid an extra $110 for my luggage. I think being charged for carry on is ridiculous. The seats were super uncomfortable, there was no entertainment offered, and not even a soft drink was complimentary. Needless to say, I am not a fan!"
Cons: "Flight was delayed. My friends teased me about flying with a carrier that's known to always have delayed flights."
Pros: "seat was pretty comfy and spacious."
Cons: "some members in crew seemed to be disctiminating. I was wearing a head scarf and one of the air hostess, even though she looked embarrased doing it, came up to me to ask my name she marked something on her paper too. She tried to make it very normal because I can understand it hard to abide with the rule that you dont actually agree with. Well I literally have no problem being looked over or being asked the name, but i just think its pretty sad if they treat people differently just because the way they are dressed up. I had my baby with me and i would never want him to get a bad impression about people. putting a scarf is just a way of dressing like wearing swimming suit would be for a lot of people swimming. I am part of America and I used to not wear the scarf because the way people look at you but I took the fear out and started practicing something my religion teaches me, but being treated differently just because there is some addition in my dressing is pretty sad. if there is a rule like that wiyh airlines, thry really should change it: just my thought..otherwise, my religion teaches me to respect everyone and follow the legit rules, and I have no problem kn answering unnecessary questions too because I know I am right"
Pros: "Getting bumped up to the big seats was an excellent treat!"
Cons: "No WiFi? On the newest fleet of airplanes? I paid just as much for this round trip as I've done for Delta, and I got to watch HBO on my device."
Pros: "on time seat assigned"
Cons: "not even a complimentary glass of water or anything Smelly passengers paying for a carry on bag waiting after arrival because no one there to operate the jetway, very lame."
Cons: "They cancelled our flight to and from New Orleans with NO ability to get us there that day. We missed the music festival the first day, and had to scramble and drain our wallets and airline miles to get there. Never again with Spirit. They truly are a joke."
Cons: "cancelled both flights and never notified us on the flight out, missed most of the jazz fest Thursday that we bought tickets for"
Pros: "Clean surfaces, well kept. On time."
Cons: "Rows arranged too closely, no recline available. Baggage fees are especially bad if you factor in that carry-on is so expensive & so strict re: size."
Cons: "Three of the four flights on our recent trip from Seattle to New Orleans were Canceled. Stop over in Las Vegas on the way there flight cancelled to New Orleans---3 hours in line at airport only to find next flight out 24hours later. Told due to weather. Next day we returned to airport to be told our flight again cancelled --this time pilots did not show for flights--placed on another airline and got to New Orleans 36 hours later then Planned. Four days later flights home from New Orleans to Seattle also cancelled. Long wait on hold with Spirit costumer service and no reason given for cancelled flight again. Asked and received refund form Spirt for those legs of flight then booked a flight home on different airline. We will never fly Spirit again. We feel sorry for their employees having to work for such an inept company. We lost a day and half of New Orleans time and two nonrefundable nights at our hotel in NO. Including cabs, and hotels over $700.00 lost plus the stress."
Pros: "The fact that I was flying to Detroit. The flight itself was smooth and passengers were nice and quiet. Very funny flight attendant was making all the passengers laugh when she was speaking to the phone, while we were leaving the airplane."
Cons: "I was not aware of the fee for carry on bags. When I ordered the tickets online, it clearly said that they are free. When I arrived the the airport, I was told I have to pay for them. I was traveling with my kids, so I had to pay for all of them. I booked my flights with Spirit before and never had that issue, yet this time I was not happy about how things went. I told the staff by the bagging area, that online it says something different and she told me sorry I cant do anything about it. I told her I didn't bring that much money with me, but that didn't matter. I had to call my friend to pay with credit card for my bags."
Pros: "Not much."
Cons: "Fares may be cheap, but they gouge you on everything else. A carry on bag $57 is daylight robbery. Also overbooked my friends flight and bumped him so the whole trip was ruined because we didn't have much time. The seats are super uncomfortable as well. I guess you have to pay a lot more for a seat that doesn't send you to the chiropractor. Spirit should be ashamed of it's business model. It should be called set the hook with a low initial price then gouge all you can. I even took money to the bathroom because I thought they would charge. That is next by the way. I would have to say my Spirit experience at least matched my many prior experiences with United, which is the worst airline on the planet. Spirit maybe second by a slim margin. I will never fly Spirit again. They stink."
Pros: "Crew was friendly and professional. Seats were comfortable. No issues with flight itself."
Cons: "We paid for the TSA check boarding and were rejected from this line on the way back to Chicago. Had to go back and wait 1 1/2 hours to go through TSA because: Spirit offered TSA check for and additional fee, but didn't print it out on our return boarding passes. Web site is so much like a comic book, its very difficult to find what you need. I couldn't print out return boarding pass move than 24 hours in advance and didn't have time to look it over before finding out we were taken for 66.00 for the TSA check pass. Very disappointed with this airline organization."
Pros: "New equipment and cost of flight"
Cons: "I am 6'4'' and they have pushed the seats together so close that I have to put my feet in the isle. On the way home they put me in the last few rows which have different seats than the rest of the plane which were thin, tiny tray table, and very little cushion. Tray table didn't matter since they don't even give you water. Who doesn't give you water!! Live and learn you can bring a cup and fill it prior to boarding. Last luggage was expensive"
Pros: "The flights themselves were both on time and smoothly done in spite of gusty weather at both ends of the flight. The boarding for both flights was reasonably short and efficient. As far as comfort goes, you don't expect that at Spirit unless you pay extra and we won't just for that. Crew did their jobs well (but see dislikes). We received timely information from the deck crew as well."
Cons: "There were unnecessary and lame attempts at humor by both boarding clerks and on-board attendants. If you think you are a stand-up comedian, seek a different career path. I know others may find it amusing and I understand the need for finding distractions from routine, but it can distract from useful information, especially during boarding. NOTE: some people do funny by nature, but it is not a universal talent. When it's natural, it's a great good, but if not..... Spirit also requires a constant sales pitch for their credit card at the end of every flight that becomes irritating and I'm sure is not pleasant for the crew, either."
Cons: "The flight was delayed into LAX due to weather and I missed my connecting flight to MCI. The associates at the gate in LAX said there was nothing they could do and directed me to exit the airport and go to the front ticketing counter. When I approached the counter I was greeted with lackluster focus and no sense of urgency. The ticket agent told me to go wait 'outside' for 45-60 miniutes until a supervisor would return. I let them know this was not acceptable. One agent ignored my situation completely while the Jr agent attempted to assist me by making calls on her personal cell phone. They let me know they could get me home within 24-48 hours, but I would still need to talk to a supervisor. I informed them there were flights on other airlines that day, to which they said they could not help me and to book it myself if I wanted to fly home that day. On multiple occasions during our conversation the agents said 'they should have helped you in Seattle before your flight left.' At one point walking away from me. I stated 'well, that did not happen. I inquired in Seattle regarding the connection and the agents at the gate stated that 'every flight is delayed' from LAX and it won't be an issue'. I booked a flight with American and flew out that evening. I will never book with Spirit Airlines again. I will always use the airline sight first before booking through sites such as Kayak as well."
Pros: "nothing, i was already sick of the airline."
Cons: "charge 50 dollars for checked baggage. most checked baggage is around 50 pounds, but they do 40, so they charge an extra $30. When you get to the gate, they tell you one personal item, not one carry-on. that's $60 if you act now, $100 at the gate if they see you have two items. I had to put on multiple shirts and almost bust my back pack to show I had "one" No complementary beverages or snacks, unless you pay with credit card. No entertainment. Felt like sardines. What a joke. You should really have a FILTER button for the companies that charge baggage fees, carry on fees, food on board, etc. And make it DEFAULT, because seeing a price of $120 from SPIRIT vs $140 from DELTA, most people would choose to save $20. But then they get hit with $50 for the checked bag, and since it's 5 pounds over weight, They have to pay $80. $80 for a checked bag. So they take 5 pounds out, and hold it with them, to not incur the $30 charge. When they get to the gate, they are told to stuff everything into one bag, if they can't do it, they get charged another carry-on. $60-$100 dollars. This is a SHADY business. Please tell me you won't show them by DEFAULT!"
Pros: "The departure and arrival times were the only reason I chose this airline."
Cons: "I don't care for all of the additional fees such as seating and baggage, and then trying to charge me more because the website didn't work and I had to call their help line. Upon arrival only one of 4 kiosks worked and the staff told us it would cost extra to check in at the counter, so we waited in an unnecessary line with everyone else. When we boarded there was trouble with someone's ticket so they pulled the last 6 of us off to scan our tickets again. The seats and tray tables were in poor condition with noticeable wear and coming apart in multiple places."
Pros: "I paid twice as much to check bags as I do on other airlines. It costed me a total of $94 to check one bag to and from. Also the customer service was poor. It took forever to claim my luggage because the flight attendants told me an incorrect carousel number. I was on a wild goose in the airport and because of this I obviously don't feel it was worth the extra money checking bags. Also I didn't like that I had to become an online member only to save ten bucks on my returning checked luggage. Don't waste your money!"
Pros: "This flight was canceled because the AC didn't work. I rescheduled for the next day (after being on hold for at least 20 min), but was almost charged a rescheduling fee of more than $100. I am disappointed to be away from home still, but am more concerned with how disorganized they were during this process. It took them hours to decide to cancel the flight, and once they did still more time to clarify where people should go and what the next steps should be. People were left in a line of at least 100 people, but only attended to 2 at a time. No one was directed to call Spirit, even though it would obviously be the most efficient way to get the line moving. Yes, machinery goes wrong, but this should not get in the way of customer service."
Pros: "Crew was funny and quick to help"
Cons: "Uncomfortable seats for tall people. Didn't get a gate right away so plane sat on tarmac for a long time."
Cons: "The say they are the home of the "bare fare" like it's a good thing. What they mean is, by the time you pay for a lite checked bag or for a single carry on you'll be paying just as much as any of their competitors. And forget about getting any type of snack or refreshments. That is unless you Want to pay out the nose for the grossest drink selection I've ever seen. No entertainment options at all, staff was barely attentive, seats were dirty with no comfort amenities. They were as bad as you can expect from a bargain airline, and not actually cheaper once you include the ridiculous baggage charges."
Pros: "Easy to check in and drop the baggage + fligjts on time ir before the schedule"
Pros: "For the most part everybody were professional and friendly . Except for one customer service rep in The New Orleans airport. We always arrived on time to our destination"
Cons: "There are fees for everything. I checked in my carry because I was going to have to pay anyway so did not have to lug it around. Unfortunately it did not make it with me. The clothes I was wearing to travel in was not for New Orleans weather. I had to use some of my vacation money to buy clothes. I'm hoping I get reimbursed for the inconvenience. Luckily the young lady that helped us was efficient and friendly. Lastly the customer service Rep in new Orleans was extremely rude bordering hostile. Auro Bonilla. I asked her for her name and she tried to spell it in Spanish after repeatedly asking for her name because she would not give it up. I can assume she tried to spell it out in Spanish hoping hoping I would not understand and spell it wrong. Luckily a friendly manager Ashley came to assist and assured me she would speak to Aura I am hoping this woman no longer works with customers and maybe somewhere in the back."
Cons: "On the day we were supposed to leave Spirit needed to cancel our flight due to weather conditions. We checked online an there weren't any warning about the weather. They were very unhelpful about placing us on another flight. After 40 minutes, they placed us on a flight the next day but also gave us the option of a full refund in case we found another flight. Luckily United Airlines had flight out (2 hours after the Spirit flight) to New Orleans. We booked the new tickets and got our full refund from Spirit."
Pros: "flight was smooth .great workers there."
Cons: "you have to pay for water.spirit should offer water as a free beverage and consider adding wifi to their planes."
Cons: "Spirit is a low cost, low class airline that works only in a situation where no other carriers can be used. The front desk staff are so-so and the internet website never works correctly. Their IT department needs fired and the website needs completely redone. Patience when working with this airline is very necessary as you encounter many frustrating roadblocks. Seats are so close together that the other passenger is all over you. If the adjoining seat has a larger passenger as in my case, this passenger will make your flight absolutely miserable."
Cons: "Flight was delayed, constantly checked in and no time was given as to when the flight would depart. I left to get food and I was assured the plane wouldn't be there or board in the time I took to get food. It had been an hour and a half of delays at that point. Went to grab a bite and came back and the doors to board were closed, and was given lackluster help to resolve the situation. Not one call was given for my name over a loud speaker, meanwhile every other airline was calling passengers who were required for their respective flights. I ended up leaving the gate and was met with a terrible attitude considering the situation, and I proceeded to purchase a ticket with another airline and took said flight. It was a terrible travel day to say the least and spirit made it that much more difficult and ended up costing me a lot of money."
Pros: "The tickets were cheap"
Cons: "Got there 45 minutes early (would have got there earlier but had traffic) and they had already filled up the flight. The 2 people in line behind me had the same problem. Staff was totally unhelpful. On the return flight they charged $55 for a carry-on, I've never heard of an airline charging for that. So even tho the tickets were cheap they end up making their money from severely overbooking and charging for carry on. Would never use Spirit again!"
Pros: "Sitting in back row of a night time flight was okay if it had not been for the female stewardess in back talking at a loud voume during the enrtire flight to her male counterpart. Got no sleep and a headache due to her. Most sadly of all, my mother and I got an ear full as she spoke negatively about her job especially having to ddeal with passengers."
Cons: "We didn't like being unable to sleep due to her loud constant chatter about her job to the male employee with her. It created a terrible headache because she was so loud and she appeared not to realize that she could be heard. It was hurtful to hear how negatively her attitude was in relation to her job, passengers and how she wished that they would "read a book or sleep so she wouldn't be bothered by them."
Cons: "Just about everything! Pilot was 2 hours late, which was known, but we boarded on time.Air conditioning broken, again known, but repairs delayed for unknown reasons. Spirit's response to passenger discomfort,we all got a sip,not a glass,a sip of water! Once we got going we discovered that the rear of the plane had its own unusual design feature - - - an aisle facing toilet. I will not delve into the problem but try to imagine what 6 hours of togetherness includes. Still the same rigid seats, silly dropdown tables and outrageous baggage charges. We will not fly this airline again."
Pros: "Since both carryons and checked bags cost money with Spirit (a smaller personal item such as a backpack is free), a lot less people bring large carryons, since (I'm assuming) they can just check an even larger bag at roughly equivalent cost. This makes boarding and getting off much faster, and the baggage compartments above the seats aren't nearly as full. Also, since food/drink aren't complementary, the staff aren't constantly carting stuff up and down the aisle, so you're not as liable to get your feet run over/have to move if you have an aisle seat. Food and drink are reasonably priced (I got coffee for $2 with unlimited refills) so the fact that you have to pay for food and drink aren't really a big issue. All in all, not a bad deal at $250 for a round trip 2.5hr flight."
Cons: "Basic low fare seats don't have enough leg room for a 6' 4" dude. Seats should also be taller and/or have adjustable headrests to accommodate taller people trying to sleep. I'll probably pay the $40 upcharge next time and sit near the emergency doors."
Cons: "Where to start...... the fact that you offer the lowest prices in the market does not make up for all of the charges you tack on to the flight usually unbeknownst to the passenger. You know full well that people do not read small print and it is disgusting to take advantage of lower income passengers looking for a good deal by asking people to pay to check in?!?! That is so rude an unheard of, let alone the fees for bags. You make it cheaper for someone to pay to check a bag before they get there, but then when I got there I realized that I could have carried on a much larger bag. The seats on my outgoing flight were incredibly small. I am 6ft tall and there are a large number of people as tall as or taller than me and when I was sitting fully upright my knees were touching the other seat so I can't imagine how a taller person could fit. You should put a disclaimer that you practice prejudice against tall people. I have never been on a plane where they have poster advertisements, and the one on my plane was for what looks like a strip club, which is just so low and trashy of you. What really put the cherry on top of this repulsive experience is when you advertised for a CREDIT CARD YOU FILTHY CHEAP JERKS at 9:30 pm after we had been delayed an hour and people were trying to sleep. You had us trapped in a confined space in the air and you held us captive while you sold us a credit card. Also, again, you KNOW your clientele are lower income people and you are taking advantage of them. We all KNOW that credit cards are a huge problem in a lot of people's finances and you are knowingly taking advantage of that. Last thing. Water is a human right and even the flight attendant was incredibly embarrassed to have to ask a thirsty passenger to pay for WATER. I WILL NEVER EVER EVER take a Spirit airline flight again in my entire life and I will be openly advertising what an awful, disgusting airline you are. I will also be doing research into what other companies are affiliated with your airline and I will be boycotting them as well."
Pros: "On time, nice attendants"
Cons: "that you charge extra for everything including seats, however so far I have always received a decent random seat assignment. On line check in was confusing, and I had to print my boarding pass, could not figure out how to have it texted to me so I could simply use my phone to show my boarding pass. Also you need to have a NA category above, I didn't have any food, and I didn't have any entertainment, so I rated you poor. Those two areas were not applicable to me."
