Be ready for checking luggage and going through security. We did and sailed right through.

London Heathrow is absolutely disorganized. You need 2 hours between flights at a minimum.
Verified travelerFlew with Iberia-Jun 2024
For people flying from New York to London I would always use British Airways. The people are so nice. I would recommend getting to the airport 3 hours early as a minimum and booking well in advance. You will need to check in 24 hours in advance online or a 2-3 hours earlier than departure at the airport. There is no other option and this is a very serious policy. The flight is very easy and enjoyable though so I definitely would recommend.
HashemFlew with United Airlines-Jul 2024
I don’t think any airline has the best boarding. Maybe American Airlines has the most comfortable and up-to-date airplanes. Always go super early to any airport leave an apple AirTag in your bag always ask Agent if your chair and or seat will be properly working
PaulFlew with British Airways-Apr 2024
Bring your own wired headphones and two pin 3.5mm adapter if you want a decent sound experience from the in flight entertainment. If you're vegetarian, there will be an option in flight - no need to order through your booking before the trip.
CynthiaFlew with Iberia-May 2024
If you have a connecting flight it can be a bit confusing. Make sure you have enough time between flights. The flight to London was great. It's the airport experience, including all the security, which stresses you out.
JordanFlew with British Airways-May 2024
Connections can take some time to figure out at LHR. They often don’t assign connecting gate till just before boarding. So be ready for that.
VaitsaFlew with British Airways-Apr 2024
Be early and pay attention to gate changes.
Verified travelerFlew with British Airways-Feb 2024
BA is the only check in located on the first floor of Terminal B behind the baggage ans escalators. It is very hard to find. However, arriving early meant check in was a breeze and NO LINE at security. That has never happened at any airport. They are doing it right.
leaniepenneFlew with British Airways-Jan 2024
Dress appropriate for the season and be comfortable, arrive early for checking in case there are unexpected changes or delays.
JustinFlew with Norse Atlantic UK-Feb 2024
Travel in relaxed clothes. Don’t over-eat. Avoid caffeine and alcohol.
Verified travelerFlew with British Airways-Jan 2024
Check all flights, arrive at the airport alot earlier if you have your flights cancelled and then rebooted with another line, they didn't book us on and took neatly 3 hours to sort out, others arrived at the normal time and missed their flights

We were delayed 2 hours because of a broken seat. Other than that it was a very nice flight.

Delta was fine though my flight was delayed 4 hours into LGA and my return into ORD involved a taxi of 1+ hour to the gate

an he late. super rude gate agent, to every person. spoke down at people.

One of the restrooms didn’t work. The ones that did never got replenished. Flight attendant just sitting there on their phone. No notification that the bathroom was broken so long lines. Apathetic crew.

Both of my flights to and from JFK experienced significant delays. Most notably, my first flight was delayed by six hours due to crew members being affected by delays on a previous flight. While I understand that disruptions can occur, Delta’s staffing and operational planning should include sufficient contingency measures to handle situations like this rather than placing the full burden of those delays on customers. Additionally, the $12 meal voucher offered as compensation was inadequate, particularly given the high cost of food and beverages at the airport. Considering the length of the delay and the substantial inconvenience caused, I believe more meaningful compensation would have been appropriate.

While it wasn't the crew's fault, it was a frustrating flight. We sat on the runway for 2+ hours. Both of the flight attendants were excellent and did a great job checking on the passengers. The pilot did keep us informed about the wait. I appreciate the crew apologizing for LaGuardia airport's backup.

It was strange that the flight attendant was so adamant about having phones turned to airplane mode that he was calling out names from networks shown and waiting until they were all gone. I've never experienced that before, and after already working through an hour+ delay, it felt tone deaf. I take dozens of flights per year and have never experienced anything similar.

Poor communication, we sat on the plane for an hour before pushing back. They were oversold and with a full plane kept looking for someone to step off for someone else to board. So after an hour wait at the gate we missed our departure window and proceeded to spend an additional hour on the tarmac waiting for a refiled flight plan according to the pilots. Occasional updates, somewhat insensitive crew to passengers needing to use the lavatory (it was 2 hrs beyond what anyone expected). Overall just poor execution...especially when the flight was listed as "arriving early" up until about 30 minutes past our departure time.

The Columbus-based WestJet crews that cover Delta commuter flights between LGA and CMH are excellent - this team included. Our flight today landed 40 minutes early, which is unheard of when flying out of LaGuardia. I've flown with the same crew in more challenging conditions, and they always rise to the occasion with helpful communication to the passengers so that we may manage expectations.

Plenty of leg room, temperature was great and staff was excellent. Would do it more often.

Check in was chaotic with only one counter for business class and first class. The luggage conveyor belt at JFK airport was broken so the flight departure was delayed which made the flight stressful as I had a tight connection. Although the captain said they could make up the delay, they didn’t do so.

Cree was organized and pleasant. Plane had good seating but as it’s a shuttle toilets hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned (eg. bins too full)

I had a good time. However, I paid for the wifi and it was in and out the whole flight.

3 hour delay…. Nearly 2 hours sitting on tarmac. Do better, United. Or at least have the sense to not say “we hope you enjoyed your flight with us” upon disembarking.

Everything except the food and entertainment. It was a great experience though

Flight was delayed from 35 minute delayed aircraft arrival to 90 minute delay causing us to miss international connecting flight on SWISS resulting in 16 hour delay to reach detonation causing significant angst, monetary loss and discomfort. SWISS transfer desk and staff was like robots not willing to help at all.

Best part: It’s operated by All Nippon Airways. It’s quite literally comfortable, reliable and respected from boarding to landing each and every time. It’s perfection without extremity in lavishness — it’s how flying should always be!

Everything could’ve been better. The boarding process was a little tedious, and then they put me in a seat with the window did not open, which gave me a very uncomfortable feeling considering I had told them that. The entertainment system didn’t work for quite some time and because I had to heavily medicate myself to not have a panic attack I missed dinner and barely ate anything on the flight. Not to mention the religious man next to me, praying mostly and humming the whole flight.

EWR terminal C United Club is great. Flight and everything else mediocre

Very bad , airplain had problem with engines , had to evacuate, had a delay on my trip for almost 4 hours , lost my rental car in london..

Check in at the desk was very slow pus Security, although not Virgin issue at JFK was a nightmare. 50 minuet wait no time to explore airport and get last minuet gifts. total wait 1.5hours

Great staff great experience, made a 2 hour delay very bearable

I was my pleasure to fly virgin on my birthday for my first solo trip ever 🫶🏼

Overall, flight was excellent but check in was very slow for Premium Economy. Economy queue was shorter but we weren't allowed to use it.

The crew was excellent as ever on Virgin. The special meal was poor unfortunately. More significantly when we arrived at Manchester Airport there was no air bridge provided and we had to exit the plane down a rickety stair case. This is unacceptable for a transatlantic flight. Whilst I understand that this is the airport’s fault at the end of the day the airline is responsible for our transportation and needs to do something.

Super friendly and helpful staff, from check-in desk to cabin crew.

Good overall. Cannot fault the airlines. I have had better entertainment systems before ie ice in Emirates but it was not too bad. Food was decent and staff were friendly.

Flight took off an hour late. Had to stay on the tarmac for half an hour after landing. Both annoying.

Quick flight. But cabin crew were very noisy and talking too much, especially when we were seated at the back of the plane trying to sleep through the night .

We originally had a window seat. Our seats were changed to the center isle between 2 bathrooms. This was a red eye flight and we were traveling with an infant. Due to the light from the bathroom doors opening and closing throughout the night our infant would not sleep and cried the whole night which kept us awake and everyone around us. It was a very unpleasant experience for everyone trying to sleep.

We did not even get on this flight as the plane never left London. I missed the email that was sent mid morning USA time, so we were not aware the flight was cancelled. There was absolutely no help from the staff at the Norse check in gates, we were told to take a picture of the board they were holding up, to try and claim our money back. We were told to book our own flights to London which ended up costing $10000 due to the last minute. And now we have to return to Miami in 2 weeks. I am not holding my breath about getting on board for that flight either.

Great experience. The flight was smooth with very little turbulence. We were in premium classic, so lots of leg room.

Unexpectedly was surprised with the space on flight in economy and the price.

The movies were super old. The crew did not offer WATER???? 5 hours os flight and did not get WATER? Norse is the worst company I ever used and never will use again.

Longest check in line I have ever seen- brutal and airline personnel hustled me about the size of my bag even though I showed them that it measured exactly to the measurements posted on their site. Just super annoying- I get it - it’s a budget airline and you get what you pay for. Most of the flight were young people who seemed to have never experienced international travel. It’s worth paying for a seat otherwise you will be uncomfortable.

The crew really made the difference. Some of the friendliest cabin crew I have ever encountered- they seemed genuinely happy to be there, and took pride in their airline and aircraft. The Dreamliner was quieter than legacy aircraft and while meals weren’t to our preference, they were at least something to keep us going!

Excellent! Although it stinks to pay extra for leg room and then have no screen option.

Overall a great experience. Only complaint was the movie selection was pretty limited, but that's pretty minor in the grand scheme of things and easy to overcome.

No blanket pillow headphones, not even a water or snack makes for a very uncomfortable flight. There are too many extra fees that should be basic and standard included.

There was no communication about the check-in process, even the fact that Norse doesn’t do online check-in! And once we were at the Los Angeles airport (LAX), there was no signage or assistance about where to check in. I kept Googling for 3rd party information until I finally found on the airport website that we had to check in at Terminal 1 and be bussed back to Terminal B, the international terminal. How were we supposed to know that?! Otherwise, the flight itself was comfortable and the attendants were helpful and friendly. I just feel like we were lucky to have managed the check-in and boarding process on our own - why keep it a secret??

The chairs were a bit tight even though I had extra feet space…2nd plane didn’t have entertainment and even though they said there was free WiFi-I believe the free WiFi wasn’t accessible unless u had some account set up….which I didn’t figure out

Flight was good but temp in the cabin was cold.

The seats in Premier Economy were very comfortable. The food was better than average. The way British Airways handled our seating was atrocious.

The airline was not clear about a new departure time so we got to the airport early anyway. The flight left early which was great because of weather. The check in process was very easy and staff were friendly and helpful. The crew was great and our flight was very good.

Although business class, the seating was really cramped. The food was so so.

Smooth trip no turbulence which is always a bonus for me lol! In cattle class so an element of being a bit squished (but not as bad as other shorter haul airlines) smaller plane than the one we flew out on and entertainment system wasn’t as modern but still definitely passed the time. Lovely crew x

I was sleeping during dinner service, no one bothered to offer meal later, I remained hungry….until I got a morning sandwich!

Very caring crew on board. Didn’t have dinner as I was sleeping. Was seating in the emergency row so I had comfortable leg room

Although the crew were great and the good nice, I might as well have been on Ryanair for the amount of space I had. Not good enough BA. I’d rather pay more and not feel like a human sardine.

Crew were fantastic can’t fault them at all. Couldn’t do enough for us
