The United States has restricted the entry of all foreign nationals who have passed through or have been in China, Iran, Most European Countries (Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Monaco, San Marino, Vatican City), the UK, Ireland and Brazil in the past 14 days.
With the exception of certain travelers which includes certain family members of US citizens or permanent residents including; spouses, children (under the age of 21), parents (provided that his/her US citizen or permanent resident child is unmarried and under the age of 21), and siblings (provided that both the sibling and the US citizen or permanent resident are unmarried and under the age of 21);
There is also an exception for travelers with the following visas: A-1, A-2, C-1, C-1/D, C-2, C-3, CR-1, CR-2, D, E-1 (as an employee of TECRO or TECO or the employee's immediate family members), G-1, G-2, G-3, G-4, IR-1, IR-4, IH-4, NATO-1 through NATO-4, or NATO-6 visa;

Students with an F-1 or M-1 visa and their F-2 and M-2 dependents, if they arrive from or have been in Ireland, the UK or Schengen Area in the past 14 days.

Hebgave me the option to flight the next day or flight the same day, and after a 2 hour delay flight to Charlotte where I would be provided a hotel room and a meal for the night. I asked several times if that information was confirmed and he repeatedly said yes. At my arrival at Charlotte Airport (near midnight) every AA employee said that they did NOT have any more hotels. It was obvious that everything was a staged lie since over 100 people had to spend the night in one of the the terminals where we were provided a pillow and a blanket. I am terribly disappointed for the lack of transparency in AA. I was told my some friends that they also have had experiences like that at the same Charlotte Airport. You have damage once again your reputation and from no own in will expect THE WORST from AA."

Why was I not informed beforehand?? My itinerary said that this is SAS flight, how was I supposed to know that i was supposed to go to United?? Because there was no one at SAS counter, I had no one to ask, I ended up waiting for the counter to open for an hour. When I found out I had to go to United, it was already too late for me to check in so I ended up missing my flight. Thank god for the agent at United however, who helped me rebook my flight and check in my luggage."

I had to rent by my own money $160 a day. UA should arraign a hotel either close to the airport or pay the rental car for me."
Cons: "Plane sat on rinway in Newark. For 4 hours before takeoff with no explanation provided. I miissed my connection to Dubrovnik. I was flown from munich to frankfurt and then to zagreb. I was put up in a very low class hotel. I aarived in dubrovnik at noon the following day. This caused me great anxiety and aggravation and a losd of a full day of vacation."

I'm giving an overall OK (instead of good) due to the fact that there were no snacks (although I did not want anything, it didn't go unnoticed) and although there was free inflight entertainment for personal devices, I feel the passengers should have been given free internet access - in my opinion, it would have been the appropriate thing to do. In any case, this experience doesn't change my positive opinion of United."

We declined to complain for fear we would be thrown from the plane. Oh yes, I have 1,800,000 miles on United."

A few moments later she came back on reprimanding that "THIS IS NOT A JOKE YOU NEED TO SIT DOWN WITH YOUR SEAT BELTS FASTENED" which was still ok. The third announcement was the one I felt was highly inappropriate when she then stated "I DONT KNOW IF YOUVE BEEN WATCHING THE NEWS LATELY, BUT THERE IS NO WARNING WHEN THE TURBULANCE IS GOING TO GET WORSE" frankly I have been watching the news lately and there is plane CRASHES on the news. My husband is afraid of flying and that announcement was terrifying, even for someone who is not afraid to fly. There has to be some sort of protocol of verbage to use when the turbulance is getting bad, because to insinuate the plane could crash to get your point across is crossing the line. I have been on planes where the turbulance is a lot worse and felt this was really out of line."

They make you pay to pick your seat. You have to pay extra for everything so the bottom line is spirit is probably the most expensive airline to fly. The seats are tiny the trays are tiny, they don’t have TVs, seats do not recline. First and last time Flying with them. My bags were 42 pounds and 46 pounds and I had to pay and additional $30 for each of them."

I was checking my phone every 15 minutes from the restaurant next to the gate, reloading the status page, and the status that it changed from delayed two hours to taking off now happened within a 10 minute window. Next thing I know they are calling for final boarding, last call, even though half the flight didn't make it there yet because they didn't update that the delay was cancelled until minutes before boarding. I understand we all need to take off ASAP, but they've got to understand if everyone was standing at the gate, there would be no room to stand so we all disperse and know we can check our smartphones for updates."

Her name and flight kept coming up. I had to pay 55 dollars for my small carry on because I did not pay online. I tried dealing with this during my 36 hours or so in Florida and was unsuccessful. I spoke to several Sprit Airlines people. I ended up leaving half of my things in Florida because another 55 dollars is ridiculous. I am not planning to fly Spirit airlines again. I understand rules and guidelines but found the lack of customer service in my case to be unacceptable."

NOT! made that request 6 times before I waited 30 minutes to get a rep on the phone. Was told I had to sign up to be a Free Spirit Member to get my boarding pass. No where does it say that that is what you had to do . The rep asked if I had booked through them? I told I booked through Kayak and he gave me attitude. Kind of huffed and I thought he mumbled "you get what you pay for" So I signed up and got our boarding pass. Coming back AGAIN we couldn't get our boarding pass. The rep at Cabana Bay got a Spirit rep on the phone I told her I was a Free Spirit Member and I gave her my member # and she me told I didn't exist in the system, but she would send me an e-mail to change my password Of course that didn't come through. I put Sara, from the front desk, back on the phone and between her and the rep we got our boarding pass. We started our vacation upset and aggregated. Ended it the same way."

Cons: "Trying to check my bag. I did everything a head of time and then still had to wait in the line with everyone who was checking in. They need to separate the drop off from the check in. They were so unorganized they had to open special lines for specific flights because they were behind. I got to the airport 2 1/2 hours ahead of time because I had to drop off my rental car. I spent almost 2 hours just trying to "drop" my bag. My wife and I have decided not to use Spirit ever again."

The layover time is simply not enough time to make a connection, I highly recommend that this airline rethink the way they schedule flights, it would save them a lot of money and angry customers. the flight attendants were nice as were the counter people, however the people that are suppose to be helping you make your connection In Fort Lauderdale are rude and unhelpful. If you have a connecting flight, make sure you have at least 3 hours or you won't make it-again, something that spirit needs to change."
