Hard armrests, weirdly shaped bucket seats which are appalling in any other position than straight up with 90 degree waist bend. Thats not how humans sit for extended periods of time. A 5 degree recline is not a recline; its a joke. At least the tray table was bigger than my phablet, unlike Spirit where the napkins look like tablecloths on these ‘tables’. Overall, it is better than the cheapest airlines."

Unbelievably inefficient and rude."

Their customer service offered no help and was extremely rude to us."

It was also the first time I recall a female captain on American - maybe the smooth landing wasn't such a coincidence :)"

Both tickets were about the same price; both flights were at about the same time of day, and were filled about the same (almost full). But the experience with Spirit was atrocious. They take every opportunity to upsell on their website and at the kiosk (Frontier upsells too, but modestly and not in-my-face). The boarding area was messy and the boarding process was rushed and disorganized (Frontier's was...normal). And the Spirit crew was surly and unhelpful (again, the Frontier crew was...normal). Frontier is everything I expect in a cheap ticket: just plain, normal, pleasant, service."

The most I got was an email that said "your flight may have been canceled" after the time of when the flight was supposed to leave. I waited in lines for hours to get refunds. I didn't have time to wait a second hour and ended up buying a new flight with American. There were not enough employees to deal with the line of people waiting. We had to wait for two different groups of people flying to other cities to process their baggage. I left the line after an hour or else I would have missed my flight. They gave me a number to call in order to get a refund and this call has taken me about an hour and a lot of explaining, even though a refund was promised. It's too much to deal with. I won't fly with spirit again."

Need to buy water even needed for your medicine. By the time all fees were added up, you ended up paying much more. Don't try it unless you are a backpack traveler. Rude flight attendant- on my flight from Boston to Chicago, I observed two passengers were rudely treated. One large-size female flight attendant, instead of waiting a aged-female passenger to be seated, she pushed her into her seat to make her way through the aisle. My 13 year old was stunned and said "she shouldn't have done that." Another woman went to bathroom before flight took off . She was told to come back to the seat. The plane was not moved for a few minutes and the flight captain announced the plane had some mechanic issue and needed to be fixed; he explained he didn't know how long it would take as it wasn't under his control. The female passenger then asked again whether she could go to bathroom. The same flight attendant told her NO."

Everyone was frantically trying to rebook and the other airlines were selling out. Long story short, I ended up paying $270 for a flight to Providence via Charlotte on American Airline. My husband then drove the hour to Providence to pick me up. All in all....I am all set with Spirit Airlines."

Our flight had already been delayed so I was prepared for a longer wait. As I sat there, the flight got delayed two additional times. Ok, no big deal, but when customers were asking why the attendants could not tell us. When asked a general time we would be boarding, people were told "when the captain gives us the OK." Finally, we boarded almost 4 hours later when the delay stated only 2 hours. The plane was OK, but the attendants were far from pleasant. I was OK with no Tvs, baggage prices, and all of that because I was aware beforehand, but the way the staff acted was completely disgusting. After finally getting Chicago, I waited almost 45 minutes for my bags. When I called my car to tell them the delay they replied that Spirit had been backed up all day. Why? No one really knew. On the way back from Chicago to Boston, the flight was set to board at 1:09 pm. The airport was extremely busy, so I did not get through security until about 1:40. I ran to the gate only to see that they hadn't boarded yet. No updated on their website of the delay and nothing sent to my email. We didn't actually board until about 2pm, and then had to wait an additional 30 minutes on the plane because one of the attendants was late getting on. So now, it is about 2:45 and we are finally taking off-originally scheduled at 1:54 with NO updates sent to the customers on the delay. No one explained the delay and no one could give a time when we would take off. A few people tried to call the airline to explain their concerns and were abruptly hung up on. The least Spirit could have done is listened to their concerns and gave an apology. I will never, EVER fly this airline, and I suggest you don't either."
