The mountain weather is so unpredictable, plus the poor recent airline scheduling services, you will be stranded in the mountain with small airport, with limited alternative transportation methods. The airlines had been delaying the flights and stringing you for a few hours, then cancelling your flights and simply letting you re-schedule your own next legs with the existing flights, which may or may not take off. Airlines have not been courteous enough to schedule more flights to accommodate the canceled ones.
