Two tiny closet bathrooms in the back for all of coach and a much larger one much larger one first class (which is like 5 rows with a mesh curtain for separation). The coach bathrooms are so small a normal person can barely get in and turn around to close the door. I question whether a larger person would be able to actually use them. I also saw the flight attendant actively turn away coach passengers trying to use the first class bathroom when it was open (not standing in the aisle or anything annoying like that). That's ridiculous to have 2 tiny bathrooms for all of coach and also to make people walk all the way to the back of the plane when you are seated much closer to the first class bathroom."

Cons: "Upon deplaning in Cancun, ALL passengers are put on a bus and driven far away from the terminals to an arrivals area. Those of us with connecting flights are royally f*cked at that point, especially if your connection is short, as mine was. The so-called shuttle to the departure terminals, which are entire kilometers away, was to arrive in like half an hour. HALF AN HOUR. Who has this time to spare?? The alternative to the shuttle is paying a taxi that charges a hefty fare--and God help you if you don't have cash. The departures terminal was swamped and only thru begging assistance and line cuts did I make my connection...and then only by the skin of my teeth. It was a complete nightmare."

This is embarrassing at the gate especially since it looks like we are cutting the line. What good is this "privilege" if you have to assert it every time or hold a credit card in hand with your carryon and boarding pass. This should be included in our ticketing at the time of purchase and upgraded on our boarding pass if we use the damn card for the purchase. It is now not a "privilege" but an inconvenience."

Pros: "Smaller airports make travel easier, and more relaxed. No frills--to get even water on the flight you'll pay for a bottle. Personnel all tend to be friendly and helpful. With Allegiant I've learned to pack lightly and plan travel carefully. It's been worth it as I have been able to see friends and family more often. We even took an impromptu vacation this year when we found a great deal on airfare."

After 1.5 hour wait our bags were finally offloaded onto the baggage claim by an airport employee not normally tasked with the job. Allegiant was paged over and over with no response. I will NEVER fly Allegiant again."

I asked if she could take me somewhere to pour them out and refill them on the other side. They threw them away at the metal detector. So I had to buy a new bottle for my medicine that I have to take. You would think she would have got it by me carrying these bottles around but nope. She actually said to me that I can give her gratuity now if I wanted. I gave her $1. She then replied in a sarcastic voice " Thankyou you are soooo generous. I don't like feeling obligated to tip somebody because I am disabled and have a bullet in my head."

When I got to the gate I purchased 2 bottles of water (INSIDE SECURITY RIGHT ACROSS FROM THE GATE) only to find out at the end of the jetway, like 100 steps from where I purchased them, I had to give them up. Who would of thought, why would a human want 2 bottles of water before boarding a 16 hour flight, weird right, so that was really frustrating and just a plain waist of money. Thanks UNITED..."

With their additional cost you get a larger seating area, free in-flight movies, reserved compartment space for your carry on and a free drink. No such thing with United. They did try to have movies through their app, but it wouldn't play long enough to allow you to watch."

Spirit refused to reimburse me and said they would give me a voucher to fly in 30 days although my doctors said I could not fly or travel due to being on a heart transplant list and wearing an lvad to keep me alive. Also, our flight is scheduled to take off at 5:05am, and there were NOBODY at the counter to help any customer for bag drop less than an hour before the flight. There was a huge line and everybody was rushing through the bag drop line at the last minute and running to the gate in order to make the flight. Terrible!!! Seats were cramped, no entertainment and water will cost you $3! Definitely will not fly Spirit again!"

We were seated in the second to last row, in front of three unaccompanied minors. The flight attendants were doing their best to make sure the kids behaved, but they were incredibly disruptive. My wife and I agreed: unless Spirit has a deal that's too good to afford, we will not be flying with them again. What you may save initially, you pay for in quality of service, comfort, and convenience."

Had no hassles, all aspects of the trip were great, other than arriving early at our destination and having a short wait for our gate to be available."

Cons: "Cost for checked bags is high. When u add 2 checked bags both ways that is an extra $200. Be serious what are you saving with all your extra fees. This is passed on to the consumer. I'm not a frequent flyer with this airline but if u want my money u have to do more. The food is high too not much of a selection for restricted diets. I can't eat what I offer. The flight was a little rough on take off and landing. No leg room for a man 6.2 ft man husbands knees were against the seat in front off him. Switched seats going to MB but could not going to CHI not a good ride home for him."
Cons: "I went to check in with the Spirit agents and they told me my bag would be fine for a personal item after I put it in the measuring display. However, when I got to the gate, they told me my bag was not allowed unless I paid $100 for it. I knew exactly which agent I talked to when I checked in for my boarding pass, but the supervisor wouldn't let me contact the agent at check in. The lack of communication is ridiculous. The supervisor at the gate was extremely rude to me and told me that my words were "bullshit." I will never fly with Spirit again and always pay for your bag because the agents at check in and at the gate are not on the same page with Spirit rules whatsoever."
Cons: "I do not write reviews. I have never needed to until now. The people at ticketing who worked for Spirit were so amused by the crying families that they could hardly hold in laughs. Spirit had delayed the flight 3 hours past the original time, and 30 minutes before they had put it back on schedule. Needless to say many people including myself had to rush to the airport. When I go there there were crying families being rudely insulted and laughed at by the staff at Spirit airline. These men were of middle eastern decent and they were making incredulous racial slurs about the Hispanic customers to their face. They even encouraged us to leave, and not try to make my flight, saying "you have only two minutes, you will never make it!" They said this after refusing to print our boarding passes, which we were able to make enough noise to convince him to do so. He also tried to swat a cell phone out of my partner's hand when he was trying to film these Spirit employee's make these insulting slurs. The plane is also terrible and crew seemed like they were all high on opiates, sluggishly making their way through the cabin. Very unsafe airline, price gouging enterprise of deceit and ineptitude."
Cons: "To start, I booked a hotel room close to the airport and upon my arrival at eight thirty in the evening I explained to the reception that I would need a shuttle at 5.15 in the morning..she then told me the shuttle didn't start till eight , so anyway I get a cab and arrive at 6 and as I approached the counter to get my boarding pass the lady blurted out with joy you're late and we have to rebook you. I said my flight was leaving at 6:30 she responded with a smile and pointed to a sight 45 minute before flight sight in required.. so a200 ticket ended up coating me double and I had to Waite in the airport 5 hours and go to Fort Lauderdale and wait there for another 4 hours.. I will never spend a dime on spirit again.. one bag 50 dollars , greedy,rudeness,just all around uglyou!!"

When we walked up there was a woman and a stroller just going through the gate doors but when we got to them the attendant said that we were too late and missed the plane. She said we needed to be there 10-15 minutes before departure time. The other woman showed her a phone with the time on it and said it's only 10:00am now and there was no page with names or last calls. And a woman just went through. The woman told us it didn't matter, they couldn't take us and sent us back downstairs to get a new ticket. My sister and I were at the coffee shop about 100 yards from the gate and if we would have heard our names being called or a last call for the plane, we wouldn't have gotten coffee! We had to go back downstairs to get another ticket, the plane they put us on was boarding right then and they told us they would have someone walk us through TSA but after we finished with the tickets they told us to go up and someone would meet us there...no one did. Thankfully the TSA guy remembered us and let us through the front of the line. When we got to our gate the woman there reminded people that if they were going to the bathroom or getting anything to make sure they were back 10-15 minutes before the plane was scheduled to depart. That flight was delayed 20 minutes anyways. I will never, ever, use Spirit again."
Cons: "I DON'T LIKE BEING CHARGED $65.00 FOR A CARRY ON BAG THAT TWO MONTHS EARLIER WAS FREE. IF YOU WANT THE EXTRA MONEY, WHY NOT JUST PUT IT IN THE PRICE OF THE TICKET AND QUIT PRETENDING HOW INEXPENSIVE YOUR AIR FARES ARE."

I get the whole bare bones fare thing (they charge for everything, even seat selection) but when our flight was cancelled without explanation, they basically threw us to the dogs. Staff was rude and unwilling to help rebook. Thank you, Delta, for rescuing us and for the amazing service."

Pros: "I tried to check in on line. No one sent me the check in mail. I tried many times. Since kayak sent it to price line, I tried with price line and it said to go directly to spirit. I went to spririt many time but unsuccessful. I fill in information but drops the information. I decided to check in at airport. Trains made big delays and arrived airport 45 min before departure and dead line was 1 hour before. I was cut. No other flights were available except for the same one on the next day. They charged $99 for change fee. I missed many appointments, spent extra $99. There is very little direct flights between phl and lax, and price seems good at the beginning but ended up expensive and lost one day, spirit had very very bad service and I don't want to use it again."
Cons: "I want to receive mail for check in. Spirit should repair their website so that people can check in on line. They should make people check in at airport if they had a failure on their web. Check in dead Lind needs to move to 40min prior to departure instead of 60 min. if it was caused by their failure, they should not charge for change fee of $98. I just hate spirit."
Cons: "The flight was delayed nearly 5 hours due to mechanical problems. As an early morning flight, the mechanical issues were known in advance--the plane did not arrive as scheduled the night before--yet passengers were not notified until check in at the airport. We could have made other arrangements (or slept until a normal hour) if we had been promptly notified. The gate agents were not understanding, and no accommodation--such as complimentary soft drinks--was made for our inconvenience. I felt like Spirit wasted my day."

The staff very unorganized and SPIRIT AIRLINES is full of HIDDEN FEES. Yes, it might say it is a cheap flight but adding carry on bags for $100 whenever the people in the front desk dont tell you what is available for you, and found out at the gate that you have to pay $100 for holding up the plane when they are still boarding?! Overall horrible experience and will never flight with spirit airlines! Even if they gave me a free flight I wouldnt fly with them."
Pros: "Absolutely nothing. Our flight was scheduled for 750a. We wake up 5am to ge to the airport, while waiting for the cab I decided to check my email to find out the flight was cancelled due to "mechanical issues". Which means they didn't sell out the flight. The rep I called caught a lot of my animosity, which the issue wasn't her fault, but she remained professional to her credit. The next flight was the next morning already a day into my vacation. I declined cause I wasnt gonna be Charlie Brown to thier Lucy. She then closed out the phone call with the normal spill, "we appreciate your business, book online, we are always here for you etc." This further annoyed me. My vacation was ruined and you think I would ever give Spirit another shot at anything at all in my life."

None were available even if I paid extra. - I will fly delta and pay $20 more for a ticket but get better service thought, notifications and online check in reminders without having to look myself and $100 dollars in savings when compared to this rip off cheap airline. - Hey Spirit I have a good name change for your company... Ghost. That's because soon I expect it won't be around much longer."
Cons: "Spirit airlines cancelled our flight because of weather but every other airline continued to fly out. In fact, we were able to get a flight out at almost exactly the same time on American Airlines. The worst part was that they were trying to reschedule us for 2 days later!! They said that was the soonest we could fly on their airline. Im not sure who on earth can change their plans by 2 days at the last minute but it sure wasn't an option for us. There also was to be no help for the 2 nights (at 250$ per nigh0t we would have had to stay at a hotel."

Cons: "From the minute we walked up to check in the staff was unpleasant and unprofessional. There are two signs, one specified that if you have a boarding pass you should join that line (assuming it would make the check in process shorter and less stressful) however we were told that there is only one line. My dad proceeded to recommend that they close the entrance to that particular line and was flagged off by the male gentleman at the counter. When I booked this flight I was very much aware that I had to pay for our bags however I had no idea that booking a flight for $180 would require paying $450 in baggage fees, one way. For four tickets I paid approximately $800 and will pay the same for my bags to fly. There is no reason why a flight to Florida for my family and I should cost $1600. Why is spirit the only airline with a 40lb weight limit. I fly frequently and was shocked when I go to the airport and was told that I needed to pay an additional $117 for bags. I did sign up for the membership with Spirit and i would like it refunded as I, nor my family, will ever fly with this airline ever again. Yes you have a young fleet however, I have yet to encounter one in my travels yesterday that was pleasant. I've worked in hospitality industry for over 15 years and frequently fly and have never had such a terrible experience. If I didn't have a return flight on spirit, I would not be flying with you ever again. But just know I've had my one experience and I will no longer. I was warned by others however I didn't listen."

It was the most out rages ridiculous thing and they wouldn't give me a refund either So I pay for a flight that I never got to fly on Never use them again"
Cons: "Spirit cancelled our flight two hours after its original take-off time, only informing us via e-mail. Passengers had to use the intercom system at the gate to get a live person to come talk to us and even then it was airport staff, not actual Spirit employees. The staff at the Spirit check-in counter would not help us, and our checked baggage was held hostage for two more hours with no word from Spirit as we all waited at the baggage claim. I have never experienced such poor customer service. I realize this is a cheap company, but if you can't even expect minimum service you're only wasting money and time. This company should not be in business."

Cons: "The Flight Attendants weren't pleasant...one short "black Attendant serving in "Coach" seemed so miserable. She wasn't pleasant AT ALL! Her demeanor was as if she just would rather be somewhere else, anywhere else but here on this flight serving us. The other Attendants weren't overly friendly either, but they weren't as obviously indifferent as this short one was. The Pilot was the nicest part of the whole Fight. Also the fact that I had to pay $50.00 to check my bag $55. to be able to bring it on the plane...the most I've had to pay EVER! thus-far. So the money I saved w/ this Airline cost me more than if I were to have booked my flight w/ another Airline. Also, NO MAGAZINES TO READ, NO MOVIES TO WATCH, FOOD WAS BEING OFFERED AT A PRICE 4 times they dId this..I FOUND THIS TO BE EXTREMELY "TACKY" Especially considering the length of this FLIGHT to CALIFORNIA frm Philadelphia. I never had to pay for in-flight refreshments on shorter flights than this one. I''VE flown more than I ever have in this past year w/ different Airlines and this was the worse experience SO Far! It wasn't worth it! I am NEVER FLYING ANYWHERE W/ THIS AIRLINE AGAIN! I'd rather pay a little more than to be "NICKELED & DIMED" TO DEATH! Also the two passengers I sat next to said the same! Ya'll might want to address these matters or you may NOT EXSIST IN THE NEAR FUTURE."

Mr Ferraro who works for the TSA in Logan airport also went above and beyond, Mr Ferraro knew I was in a hurry, he thought I might forget my wallet, and when I took off running to catch my flight Mr Ferraro yelled Sir don't forget your wallet Awesome all the way around! 2 guys made my day and week! It was my brothers 20th wedding anniversary, and these 2 guys Ozzie and Mr. Ferraro truly provided heartfelt customer service that I will never forget! Thanks for being awesome!"

The two options Spirit gives you is to put you on the next flight tomorrow at 6AM or refund your money. I was lucky to purchase a flight on an airline with a real schedule for later that morning. That flight was practically empty. It is a shame that Spirit doesn't have the customer service to accommodate it's passengers on to other flights. Low cost fares are appealing but more of a hassle than they are worth when the airline has little to no contingency plans. An I'm sorry and a $15 voucher can't get you back 24 hours of time or the money folks who choose low cost carriers have to waste on getting back and forth to the airport or spend on hotels in the area."
