I wish I knew the deal to get uber/lyft in advance and if I should book while on plane or at baggage claim. I waiting’s about 10 minutes which I could have avoided had I known
Verified travelerFlew with Qatar Airways-Jan 2026
Our flight to Philadelphia was full and the gate announced that there would probably be a full state for carry-on luggage at Zone 5 of boarding. In reality, they announced that the overhead bins were full after Zone 4 had boarded. Passengers need to be prepared.

The airport is large so allow plenty of time even if you have TSA pre-check.

Get familiar with navigating the Portland airport. It’s been four years since I was there last visiting family and I believe the airport’s been refurbished and enlarged, etc. but it’s very nice.

There are no food or vendor services in the boarding areas of Terminal 4 at LAX.

Do not check in your docs, and medication in a check bag. Carry with you to the cabin.

Make use of the food, beverages, and amenities in American Admirals Club in PHX before departure on any flight.

If you have any metal in your body (e.g., spinal fusion screws) make sure you get in the line for the TSA security screening booth that makes you stand on the yellow marks with your arms over your head. I wish I had known this before I wasted time in the alternate line with the walk-through detector.

Watch out for “fake Uber drivers” know who’s coming for you

I didn’t realize that we had to take a train from check in in order to get to the gate. That took a lot of extra time.

had to check bag at gate when there was still overhead bin space. As usual the WIFI didn't really work.

Terrible delay today. also, waited 90 minutes for baggage to unload in Seattle earlier in the week.

Like new plane. Great crew. Comfortable. Clean. On time. Happy employees. Good organization and control of passengers.

Flights delays were communicated timely and helpfully, but there was a significant delay without any real effort to make up for that. Also, the in-flight WiFi was very spotty. That said, this was my first time with Southwest and I was quite happy with the service and staff otherwise.

Delayed and once landed waited very long for the luggage

Nice managed … it was a smaller plane, so the seating wasn’t as comfortable.

The Southwest airline was ok. A big thank you to Kayak team (David), who worked with me on Sunday afternoon to rebook my travel from Burbank, CA, to CVG. My original flight on Sunday was delayed, so I had to cancel Sunday flight and rebook my travel to Monday. Could not have done it without help from David from Kayak team. Ante Soda GE Aerospace

Seated at front bulkhead for a smidge extra leg room away from home and on flight back home. Away crew was very proactive about assuring our carryons had space close behind us (because no seat in front of us our personal items had to be in a small bin overhead). They actively required passengers place overhead luggage on its side so more items could fit in bins. Home crew made no such efforts. I had to struggle back rows to get overhead bags upon landing, no crew help then either, and some disgruntled passengers as I and others retrieved our bags. There was a system that worked pretty well. The home bound crew just didn't feel like working.

Southwest has inacted unfriendly customer policies like other airlines. Watch the fine print very carefully if you are having to alter flight arrangements. Rules are now complicated and very stilted to travelers sacrificing travel funds (unlike before where the simple, straight forward flight change policy was worth the extra premium for ticket price.) On the positive side, SW Flight crews are still wonderfully helpful.

Flight left on time and was early landing. Seats not comfortable and not enough space…

For some reason, there was very little volume on the cabin announcements. You could not hear what the pilot or crew were saying.

Carmen was an absolute delight on the flight staff! Everyone was lovely and made it a very pleasant flight.

Flight was delayed at airport with large backlog and WiFi was spotty

I don’t like mushrooms and that’s all they had with pasta

I Love Delta but one of the flight crew training in courtesy snd hospitality.

I don't know why the crew decided to board 15 minutes early without informing anyone not at the gate. Why would you have the app send a notification that we're boarding on time, instead board early, and then rush me to the gate. Then have me check my carry-on when I specifically packed my bag as to not do so.

Could have been on time and not missed my connection

Really hard to tell what was happening after my flight got delayed five times

Flight was delayed from San Diego due to being overweight for weather conditions. We missed our connecting flight to our final destination due to the delay, as well as the connecting flight leaving before the scheduled departure time. We missed the connection within 10 - 15 minutes. We were booked on a later flight arriving 7 hours later. There were 7 passengers sharing the same originating and connecting flight.

Horrible, mismanaged ground issue resulting in a long delayed, next flight left early, waiting extra 7 hours in the airport, screen did not work

Very disappointing that on an international business class flight they would not give me access to the lounge in Boston. They said it was because it was a codeshare flight. International business class should include lounge access regardless of codeshare.

They did not have free WIFI and I was not okay with that!

Flight was on time, clean, etc. Despite connecting to your wi fi I was unable to use your app to watch entertainment.

Awful!!!. I do not recommend United. The flight staff are unhappy and don't attempt to make the passengers feel comfortable or welcome. The food is not edible, and the seats are miserable. My expensive luggage was destroyed, and the ticket prices are too much for the experience.

Even though the incoming flight was delayed by 20 minutes they managed to get us to SFO 15 minutes early.

On time, easy boarding. Anytime you sit in an economy seat, it’s uncomfortable. New plane and the bathrooms were in the galley at the back of the plane which seemed odd.

It was fine for the most part. But the volume on the announcements was way too loud, and the cabin temperature was chilly. We had the hardest landing I've ever experienced- I think it hurt my back, and the tires squealed when we touched down.

Great, except the canon was so cold. Even the flight attendants put jackets on

Did not like the check in guy quibbling over a couple pounds at the luggage weigh in

Just having a little bit more legroom would've been nice.

The flight was delay roughly 90 minutes. Once we arrived at O'Hare, we sat on the tarmac for another 90 minutes. I understand that O'Hare is under construction however they need to figure out a solution as every incoming flight I have been on has been delayed coming to a gate.

The WiFi was out gr entire flight. Had to Diane for almost 1 hour to wait for a gate to open up for plane to dock. Very bad experience.

It was a short flight so there were no entertainments nor super comfortable which is OKAY, just the review system doesnt allow for N/A which is why okay was put, but overall good! No delays and nice crew

We were stuck with no gate upon landing for 90 minutes. Unacceptable.

It was significantly delayed. Also the admirals club in Philadelphia airport near Gate B is absolutely filthy. Good was on the floor. Flies on the cheese. And the men’s restroom had pools of urine on the floor. I am not using that lounge again.

It was good overall. On my transition from Philadelphia to Boston, the gate information wasn't correct. When I went to check the gate information; I found out that my flight was boarding clear across the airport at another gate. Fortunately I rushed over there and made it on time while they were in the middle of boarding.

For the first time in all my travels I found the arm rests very inadequate and painful. The arm rest between me and the passenger to my left was thin and didn’t support either of us. On the right side, (window side) the armrest was thin and short causing me pain mid-arm.

Not too much it was pretty good all the way around

Horrible. Flight was delayed for 4 hours first till 7pm. Then for one more hour. Then again and around 9pm we were finally boarded and waited for catering delivery for another hour. At 10pm we were not interested on food at all. Tired, sleepy we arrived after midnight. Insane.

The forward head smelled putrid and urine soaked, worse than any head in even transoceanic flights. The wifi stopped working after about an hour of flight.

Flight delayed 9 hours. On tarmac for over an hour after arrival. Will never book with Frontier under any circumstances ever again.

My ATL–CVG Frontier flight was disappointing due to both an operational issue and unprofessional customer service. After everyone had boarded and the aircraft had pushed back from the gate, we were delayed because the passenger count did not match the flight manifest. The crew counted passengers approximately six times before the aircraft returned to the gate and gate agents boarded to help resolve the discrepancy. We were ultimately advised that a family had been allowed to board but not all of their boarding passes had been properly scanned. This resulted in a departure delay of nearly an hour. I did appreciate that the pilot kept passengers informed and tried to reassure us that some of the delay could be recovered during the flight. My greater concern was the customer-service experience. I am a Frontier Elite Platinum member and was seated within the first five rows. When I boarded, the overhead bins near my seat were already closed. I opened two bins to see whether my small backpack would fit. A female flight attendant sharply told me that a closed bin meant it was full, although the second bin clearly had available space. When I tried to ask whether I could simply place my backpack in that available space, she ignored me. Later, while the gate agents were working to resolve the passenger-count problem, I heard the same flight attendant make jokes about how many gate agents it takes to count passengers. She then made unnecessary comments about the male gate agent doing the count, men thinking they can do things better than women, and women knowing better and outliving men. Later in the flight, she also commented that passengers should know that the first thing they need to do is always be nice to the flight attendants. Courtesy absolutely should go both ways. Flight attendants deserve respect from passengers, but passengers also deserve respectful and professional treatment from the crew. Joking about colleagues who were actively trying to correct an operational problem, making gender-based comments in front of passengers, and being dismissive toward a passenger asking a simple baggage question were unnecessary and unprofessional. I fly enough to understand that delays and mistakes happen. What determines the quality of the experience is how those situations are handled. Unfortunately, the customer-service attitude on this flight made an already frustrating operational delay considerably worse.

Did not get on the flight, they had a gate change and my app never updated me! Trying to get flight credit

Flight was delayed by about an hour, once we arrived at LAX we had to take a shuttle to the baggage claim - it was completely disorganized. The agents at the shuttles were rude and unable to provide any information. Frontier charges extra for everything from bags to drinks - at the end it ends up being more expensive than flying the better airlines

Sat in the airport waiting for my flight for 5 hours. Finally got on the plane only to be thrown off and told that my flight was cancelled. Zero customer service. Nobody spoke to us. Just the worst

When I was boarding my departure from Raleigh to Orlando I was inappropriately scolded by a female dog named Mia because I didn’t pay in advance for my carry on bag ($75). Frontiers website is confusing regarding pre-paying for carryons so it was a simple mistake. I also had paid for “upfront plus” meaning me and my son were seated in the front row with no one in the middle seat ($450 upgrade). When we were boarding Mia said “sir, you didn’t pay for your carryon” in a not so polite tone and told me to get out of line and come back to the counter to pay for my carryon. The way they had the retractable rope left me no room to circle back without making the people behind me move so I just stood there and then she said a second time “sir!! Go pay for your carryon” in an embarrassing tone. I then moved their rope so I could get back to the counter when a second female dog then asked “are you done!?!?” because I had said “do you want me to bulldoze the people behind me?” I then said you do realize I paid over $400 for upfront plus so I was certainly not trying to sneak a carryon bag without paying. Long story short, I am soooo done with discount airlines!!! By the time you pay for all the “extras” you might as well have paid for Delta Southwest or American! Frontier airlines sucks and I was embarrassed by a female dog named Mia!!!

Frontier is good until they cancel your flight. Way too many cancellations.

I know Frontier is a “no-frills” airline. I understand the concept. However, I jumped on some tickets for our family vacation, expecting to play a bit of a game to figure out the family bags and not over spend. In the end, I got the short end of this deal by far. 1. I did not expect them to charge the baggage fee for each direction. It makes the fee look high-ish at a glance, but reasonable. Then when you get to checkout and realize you have to pay it twice to come home with your luggage, it becomes ridiculous. 2. The low checked bag weight limit. I am used to packing a 50lb bag with my preferred airline. Frontier’s artificially low 40lb limit more quickly triggers the extra weight fee, which almost DOUBLES the price of the bag if you go over ($79 for the bag/$75 for the next 10 lbs) 3. The fee for a carry-on bag is the same as a checked bag but with a lower size and weight limit. Make it make sense! 4. The seats are terrible. My 2.5 hour flight almost had me losing my mind. I’m 6’3” and my femurs barely fit in the space provided. My knees had to wiggle just right to jam into the crack next to the armrest of the seat in front of me. The cushioning was thin and inadequate. I am tall but I’m not a freak. These seats are unacceptable. 5. I overheard the woman next to me speaking with the gate agent about being charged a $25 fee for not checking in online - she checked in at the airport counter when she arrived. That’s ridiculous. She was old and in a wheelchair. She had a paper boarding pass, and was obviously not tech savvy. She should not be punished for that. 6. They do not have good placement in the terminals. It was always out on the end or down on a subfloor, and we had to walk out on the tarmac almost every time. In Denver. Their home airport! 7. Every time I loaded a new page on the website while buying my tickets or my bags, it was constantly trying to upsell me on some esoteric bundle. Like, a pop-up every time. Very annoying. 8. No screens in the boarding area (at least where we were) to confirm you’re in the right place. Just static gate number signs. I am sure these are standard practices for Frontier, and I should have read more about them before I purchased tickets, but as a result of this single round trip, I do not plan to ever use this cut-rate airline again. I would rather pay the normal amount for a ticket and be treated like a customer instead of a mark.

Our flight was delayed 2 hours and when they changed the the time to 1 hour I wasn't alerted and when I checked the gate the plane was still there but they already shut the doors so I had to buy another flight.

Great except upon arrival it took them a long time to open the doors
