Cons: "No in flight entertainment at our seats"
Pros: "My flight was full of funny kids so I enjoy my flight a lot and the flight attendant was great too"
Cons: "Snacks we need more snacks"
Pros: "It’s nice that a snack was provided. Other airlines have stopped serving snacks because of COVID-19"
Cons: "Crew could have been more welcoming."
Pros: "Good leg room"
Cons: "Old plane and time for the boneyard."
Pros: "The Agents at the counter in the terminal gate were courteous."
Cons: "My flight was delayed because an attendant had to be swapped out, then the replacement was stuck in traffic for an hour (why not have all attendants ready on-airport?). Comically, we taxied on the runway for over an hour, which caused more delays with the plane needing to be de-iced. Figured I'd put all that behind me, but then the flight experienced one of the worst turbulences I've been in. We jerked through the skies many times, and the pilots weren't reassuring. Thankfully we landed okay, but not after being late by multiple hours. Also, JetBlue needs to invest in its planes, esp. its Couch section. I felt like a pretzel with on room to breathe."
Pros: "Jet blue has free potato chips and also allows you to watch television."
Cons: "Jet Blue provided 5 sequential delay messages over an hour. Their inability to better estimate departure is disappointing. The real problem is that delay was caused directly by the airline's incompetence. There were no weather issues, the takeoff spots were available. They simply failed to load snacks. Although there WAS a minor prior delay bc a slightly late plane arrival, we eventually were delayed about an extra hour to supply snacks on a 4-hr flight. Given the ground crew had EXTRA time to load and also considering the tiny set of options offered, this is senseless. Further, b/c they ran out of overhead bins, they offered to GATE check my luggage. This was essentially a lie - they put it with checked bags, unlike the gate checked items I watched others retrieve. The combination of these errors led me to arrive at the car rental desk after closure. This caused me to incur a taxi fare, so spend 30 min or so working out an alternative rental the following day, and then yet ANOTHER cab to the Car Desk to get the car. This is the only time in my hundred or so car rentals anything like this has happened. I will certainly think twice (or more) before booking Jet Blue again."
Pros: "Captain ended up being a good pilot with a very smooth landing,"
Cons: "Our flight was delayed 2 hours because the crew was comprised of members from flights delayed by the snowstorm. Even though gate attendants knew they were on their way, attendants refused to let us board until the crew was all on board. Then we had to wait some more....... Also they were lax on pre-boarding announcements, not letting families with children on first. And waiting until each group was fully boarded before announcing the next. Plus the enunciation of various announcements was difficult to understand and/or way too fast. It wasn't funny."
Pros: "Pretty average JetBlue flight. I love the direct TV and wifi"
Cons: "Annoying and time consuming to discover that I couldn’t check in for my flight anywhere besides the counter at JFK because I had two layovers and that JetBlue and Hawaiian had completely different itineraries for me. And then when the flight attendant who checked me in mocked my 2 layover itinerary and said there was a direct flight to HNL from JFK leaving later that morning, she at least could have tried to sell me a seat on that flight, rather than rudely laugh at me “I guess you can only do what you can do” like I was too poor or something. That was annoying. I’m bored of the JetBlue snack selection it’s been the same for years."
Pros: "The Jetblue lounge at JFK.. and the TV was pretty nice"
Cons: "To start, the plane was delayed due to inflight crew getting in late which is fine.. but our departure time never updated and the attendants were transparent but never mentioned a new time. After onboarding we got stuck on the tarmac due to traffic. Flight took off with turbulence to start and finally after 45 mins we got bottles of water. I asked crew if they would come around with more... I was starving and also have the perk of free alcoholic beverages in flight. I was offered neither and we only received chips 1+ hour into the flight. One of our TVs broke and the crew wasn’t helpful in an alternative... Overall worst Jetblue exp I’ve had to date, and I’ve flown with them a lot due to my Mosaic status.."
Cons: "When I arrived at JFK after 14 hours long flight on Emirates, the service counter was understaffed with 1 hour long lines! Un-acceptable! Especially, since all I needed is to re-print my boarding pass, because US TSA would not accept the boarding pass printed by Emirates in India. The kiosk would not recognize my name on reservation! The kiosk did not recognize my recently issued US passport! Bloody annoying! Only able to print the pass after keying reservation code - yet, again not acceptable! The other, earlier attempts should have recognized me and found my reservation! Very upset with quality of service on the ground!"
Pros: "The atmosphere was just right for flying except when I entered the Aircraft I was totally turned off when I encountered a woman and her child and her carry-on pieces was already established in my seat 2A. She did move when I requested but what got me annoyed she had me locked in my seat because all her belongings remained in the passage way making it difficult to make my way to the restroom. IN MY OPINION THIS WAS A SAFETY HAZARD. I had every reason to suspect that she is known to the captain because he came to greet her. ERROLD"
Cons: "NO EMPHASIS IS PLACED ON ENSURING THAT SAFETY IS CARRIED OUT. I HAVE HAD SEVERAL TRAVELLING EXPERIENCES ON A VARIETY OF AIRLINES AND THIS WAS THE WORST FOR SAFETY. UNFORTUNATELY I HAD TO MAKE USE OF THE RESTROOM AND HAD TO BE USING MY ATHELETIC SKILS TO GET BY. THIS REALLY SPOILT MY FLIGHT. MY FLIGHT # WAS 881 TO ST. LUCIA SEAT 2A. SAFETY SHOULD NEVER BE COMPROMISED EVEN IF FRIENDSHIP IS INVOLVED."
Pros: "Price of ticket is about it."
Cons: "From the time I got to the gate 90 minutes before flight to the time I got off it was terrable. Delays before boarding with no explanation then the same continued onboarding. First it was waiting for bags. Strange when there's a 2 hour+ delay that all the bags weren't there? Then waiting for paperwork followed by the part they needed was incorrect and a new one was on it's way from the hanger.. Finally departed 1 hour plus later. The plane was an old cattle car. Free TV didn't work right, so at did not recline (no it wasn't an exit row.). Most of the crew and gate attendants were rude and indifferent except for on flight attendant. The entire row of seats didn't recline at all. She was very apologetic and acknowledged it was uncomfortable especially on a 5+hour flight. She did offer us something to eat, blankets earbud. Still my back was killing me upon arrival at Phoenix. JEt Blue. Get your act together. This is unacceptable."
Cons: "The flight was delayed 6hrs 30 mins and changed departure gate twice. At no point was there a gate change announcement overhead (there were gate change announcements made for flights to Bermuda, Boston and San Francisco). During the boarding process many people stood and went in before their group was called, one agent noticed it and told the agent checking the boarding passes “all of these people are group A?” To which the other agent replied: “no, but I can’t do anything about it”. If there are group assignments, they need to honor that, as some people pay to board earlier."
Pros: "Cabin crew were great at looking after us and we had plenty of legroom in coach!"
Cons: "The entertainment selection was a bit limited and there was no wi-fi."
Pros: "The crew was great, and so was a JetBlue pilot dead-heading in the seat next to me. I liked the space in the MoreSpace seat I paid for. I relieved that the upgrade seat came with boarding in the first group. Some airlines you pay for the seat, but you're still group 3 or 4 and, meaning all sorts of anxiety about the most miserable part of any flight, the dreaded fight for the overhead bins, wondering it you'll have to check the bag and then wait for it at the destination. Thank you for removing that."
Cons: "The flight took off two hours late. We were suppose to arrive at our destination at twenty minutes after midnight, and instead did not arrive until 2:30 a.m. You felt like the pilot got on the plane when you did with no planning involved on how to get to Austin. I later learned that Jet Blue has the worst on time record of all the airlines. And you got nothing to compensate you for the inconvenience. I am really disappointed in Kayak for not making it known on our ticket that we were flying from New York to Austin on Jet Blue. When buying my tickets on Kayak, it appeared on my itinerary that all my flights were on Iceland Air. It was very confusing to me, as I don't travel very frequently. And airport staff is not very helpful when you are in this situation. Due to all the confusion, I will probably use another airline search tool for my next trip to see if I can lessen the confusion."
Pros: "Seating is spacious, food was okay, entertainment was sufficient but not the best. Overall I was impressed with Jet Blue and will most likely fly with them again in future."
Cons: "Didn't like a huge argument taking place between one family which held the flight up by at least 30 minutes. The crew were very patient with this family, but the passengers were not. I think the family should have been removed and asked to take another flight so that my flight could leave on time. It made everyone very nervous because we didn't know to what extent this conflict would escalate, so we had to sit listening to 3 or 4 members of the family arguing and constantly removing passports from luggage and going back and forth in and out of the plane. One member of this family actually entered the cockpit, which unnerved me because of the risks with terrorists these days. The family appeared to be of muslim descent."
Cons: "I was delayed half a dozen times, only to be canceled. Rescheduled on a flight that was scheduled to depart two hours before the original flight. Rescheduled after an hour hold. That flight was delayed the following day. Was diverted to Baltimore only to find out only some of us on our flight are getting out by a rude agent. Then no information at all. Had to run to catch an amtrak. Later found out if I stayed I would have stayed another 13 hours in Baltimore. Missed work and had no one home to take care of my family. Oh, and travel insurance will not cover anything. The plane itself was falling apart. Seat was broken and dirty. Everyones lights were broken and it smelled."
Pros: "Literally the worst flight I’ve ever been on in my life."
Cons: "We were seated behind a woman who brought a sick cat into the flight. The stench of cat feces was overwhelming. When we addressed it with the staff, they were incredibly rude. I also shared that I had a very significant cat allergy. The staff continued to be incredibly rude, and eventually offered a single seat in the back, which would not accommodate the two of us. The woman next to us also expressed her extreme discomfort and was condescended and disrespected, as well. Shocking, miserable experience."
Pros: "The entertament options from new releases to tv shows was good .."
Cons: "The staff was disorganized and seemed a bit frantic at one point they announce a need for a doctor on board .. we where never told that the passanger was allright .. There was a chilld who sat behind me that kick my chair the entire time and stuck his hands in between which where sticky in between the seat over and over again grabbing me he was loud and sick with what seem to be a cold and kept touching me though the seat would not listen to the adult that was with him i understand that he is a child but this went on the entire flight which was over five hours my back is still not ok .. snacks where serve late into the filght once.. staff was not friendly..."
Pros: "Food was really good, but the cabin crew were up to JetBlue's normal outstanding service"
Cons: "The range of movies is still pretty poor (if you're a frequent JetBlue traveller)"
Pros: "Virtually nothing."
Cons: "Direct TV didn't work -- provided only one station, with a constant scroll across the bottom of the screen promoting the imminent start of movies that we're impossible to access. And even this one station would disappear from time to time. None of the seat-mounted controls worked -- including channel, volume, brightness, and music. And you couldn't even turn the damned thing off so it glowed in your face all through the overnight flight. In short, a terribly boring 6.5 hours aloft in terribly uncomfortable seats."
Pros: "Nice crew.."
Pros: "We boarded right on time and the boarding process was smooth."
Cons: "Our flight was delayed three hours because of air conditioning malfunctioning on the plane. We sat on the tarmac for almost two and a half hours, and it must have been around 85 degrees on the plane. There was a lot of miscommunication about whether we would be switching aircraft. They finally told us to deplane because we were probably going to switch planes. After 15 minutes in the terminal, we reboarded the same plane. Got to LA 3 hours late so had to deal with horrible rush hour traffic, which we had hoped to avoid had we taken off on time."
Pros: "The convenience of landing and being so close to home. Only wished there were more flights avail with better times."
Cons: "1) The time of this flight is a bit much. I understand that it is close to my home but I know if Jet Blue adds 1 or 2 more flights, they would totally get booked up. The leaving JFK at almost midnight and then the time difference is horrible. 2)This flight had a child that got sick and we were delayed about 40-45 mins. Totally worth it but it made for an even harder time getting in at almost 630am PR time. 3) The turbulence was horrible. We were warned but so many customers were getting sick. Its was unpleasant to say the least."
Cons: "Flight was delayed over 5 hrs. Not the airline's fault but waited in the help line for over an hr before the agent told me there was no earlier flight I could be placed on - she was incorrect. Pointed out that there was another flight that had also been delayed and therefore hadn't left yet - she agreed, put me on standby. At the gate, the boarding crew did not know what they were doing. The plane was 20% empty but crew made situation very hectic by giving standby passengers seats, taking them away, and then realizing there was actually enough room on the plane. Crew was friendly but incompetent in terms of problem solving."
Cons: "First thing, when i arrived to check my bags the lady giving help was useless, i was really stressed and i asked her some questions and she was answering upset, then i found a guy who help me to do my things there. In the boarding there wasn't any space for my things, my carry on bag and my personal item .. i was trying to get some help to one of the guys working inside the plane because the top compartment was full, when i ask him he just say that space is for all in the plane isn't suppose to be space for you there if some other guest took it.. I was really upset because i paid for my flight ticket and it was included my carry on and my personal item.. otherwise i know there is more people in the plane but is not like i brought more things than the ones i paid for... if you don't have capacity for all the guest you should say it before... The flight was delayed with an hour.."
Cons: "TSA held me up with a 30 minute bag check so I arrived for an 11:30 AM flight at 11:16 AM. I was told that because I was a minute late they wouldn't let me on even though the plane was still in the runway and connected to the terminal. I asked to speak to a supervisor and the agent disappeared for 10 minutes while the plane took off. I then went to go speak to a customer service agent who wouldn't even look at me while I spoke. She actually started listening to and talking with another agent while I was talking to her. Then when I was finished, she started arguing with me until another agent said "he's not worth it." JetBlue just lost my business."
Pros: "The crew was helpful."
Cons: "Flight was over two hours late. No excuse was given. Original Departure time was 9:30pm. Was receiving alerts beginning from that morning notifying of delays which continued as I waited at the airport that night. This seems to happen frequently and nothing is ever done to make it up to travelers. On the plane, the audio for the tv had static so you couldn't actually hear anything. It doesn't seem like you can turn the tvs off, which is annoying as they emit light, so if you want to sleep you have to deal with the light from your tv."
Pros: "We got to our final destination."
Cons: "We needed to wait for "just a few minutes." The Captain said. Then, no other communication at all and we left over an hour late for a 45-minute flight, no explanation. I hate when they leave you in the dark and aren't upfront. The connection from Emirates to JetBlue we had was almost impossible. Two healthy adults, arriving on time in NYC with two hours to make a connection. With walking as fast as possible and not even going to the bathroom, we barely made the flight. Customs. Change terminals. Go through security again. ridiculous."
Pros: "The people who worked there were professional. The other passengers were nice."
Cons: "The seats, even the upgraded ones, didn't recline sufficiently to let my head drop back. This meant that for a period of four plus hours, I was stuck in an incredibly uncomfortable sitting position -- tilted slightly forward, via the placement of my head. And it also meant that the only way to try to sleep was by pitching forward over the tray, hunched forward in a way that didn't allow me to breathe fully. I tried slouching down, and it didn't help. The way that the lumbar was positioned also pushed me forward. The pillows were too small to lift my head much off the tray. Perhaps it's my height and weight. If I was shorter or taller or thinner, my options might have increased. Regardless, if the airlines are going to squish us together, they might consider how to give us some flexibility with regards to placement of back rests, like we have in cars -- adjustment of lumbar curve."
Pros: "I liked the spacious seating of course"
Cons: "I was disappointed in the boarding, I traveled with my young daughter and infant son and when they announced those who require additional time, handicap assistance, etc I proceeded to board then all these other folks also jumped up skipping me and my children when it was not their turn. And the gate people allowed them to do so I had to be the one to say excuse me we were here 1st. On top of that when we landed back in NY I heard my stroller get tossed and discovered when I got home it was broke. So upset!!!"
Pros: "It was a short flight"
Cons: "Everything about the stews reflected that they'd much rather be somewhere else. Boarding was made into a ceremony worthy of the Papal Stations of the Cross - for God's sake, you were only boarding 40-odd people! Food...??? You're willing to SELL me junk food, water?!!! Far and away the worst aspect of this flight, though, was the ticket counter personnel, timing, process-boundness. A. the counter did not open until 0930 for an 1130 flight....you require me to be present 2 hours prior to takeoff, yet your people are not available to service B. the woman at the counter forced me to check luggage that I have carried onboard aircraft all over the world with no flack from anybody, my protestations notwithstanding C. she then explained that our checked luggage could and would not be checked through to our final destination and when I protested that I had had no such issues coming east and could not understand why we were having this conversation, she referred me to "policy." Malarkey. Want to hear something funny? The bags ended up being checked all the way, making my departure from the secure area to claim my bags at JFK pointless, and necessitating my submitting to security lines and scrutiny once again. As I said to my wife at the time of this debacle, if Aer Lingus is the only airline flying US-UK and a rowboat is my only alternative, please pass me the oars."
Pros: "Good boarding process. Comfortable seats with decent leg space."
Pros: "Comfortable seats. Good selection of movies."
Cons: "The crew was rather lazy. It was a long flight. Came through once to offer snacks and drinks then back again immediately to pick up trash when u just received your snacks. Then never offered water or additional items for rest of flight. Of 3 flight atttendants they sent one person to do the final cleanup while others stood around. Waited at gate after boarding for almost 2 hours so the catering truck could replenish the plane so u would think they could be more hospitable since our flight was not full."
Pros: "The first thing Jet Blue needs to do is to promptly update the monitors to reflect the status when the flight is delayed. The scheduled departure for the flight from JFK to Austin was 9:06 pm. It was past 8:45 pm and there was no airplane at the gate - At this point it was clear to me that we were definitely going to be delayed. Finally there was an announcement about the incoming flight from Syracuse being delayed causing the austin flight to be delayed. As far as I can remember, the monitors never reflected the delayed status. My assessment is this flight was delayed by 30 mins or so which may not be much if this is the only trip you are taking but definitely matters to someone who has been on a flight for 17 hrs and is just desperate to get home for some well needed rest. I give good rating for boarding and comfort as boarding was quick and suprisingly comfortable for economy seat. I give NA for crew, food and entertainment primarily because I was asleep the entire flight and did not interact with any of the flight crew."
Cons: "When checking into JetBlue, I had to remind the staff to do everything. They gave me my fight ticket without issuing me a Visa when I clearly needed it. I had to remind the staff and they said "oh, right. I forgot about that" Then I had to request for a luggage tag for carry on as they forgot that as well. Finally when I got to the gate, I booked 2 tickets together which had seats assigned and was given a different seat separating the 2 reservations putting one in the middle seat! when both was already assigned aisle. This was not a smooth transaction at all."
Pros: "Not much."
Cons: "I don't know if this was an error on Kayak's part but since they were the ticketing agent, I suspect so... I booked a full fair, business class ticket for international flight, and I can tell you, Jet Blue had no business in this itinerary!!!! I completely understand the value of Jet Blue as a cost conscious airline, but on the flights I was on, they only had ONE CLASS OF TICKET! They may tell you differently, but after being on international flights for over 10 hours, I was stuck in a middle seat! And it took me a lot of talking to even get them to admit i deserved anything other than the last row in the plane."
Cons: "The flight was delayed which was going to make me late for my next two connecting flights. They sent me on an airline that had me show up at my destination 36 hours later. Wasted money on my hotel room and activities I had paid for for the first day. Even though I had spoken extensively to the lady helping me about my luggage, it took my bag 5 days to get to me. So instead of enjoying my vacation I was having to spend time in the mall in a foreign country trying to find clothes for each occasion. It also cost a lot of money to repurchase all of these items. I will never support this airline again."
Pros: "Quick flight, on-time arrival. They offered a small snack (choice of Terra chips or cookies) and drinks."
Cons: "Poorly managed gate-checking of baggage. No instructions regarding white vs pink gate-check tags, gate checking considered only last-minute by the flight crew (once space was already completely filled) which meant 1 couple complained a lot about being forced to gate-check purely due to boarding order, instead of better communicating the need for gate-checking/pushing it earlier to find more voluntary people. I listened to the gate announcement, got a gate check tag & even then the flight attendant had no idea that was going to be necessary, which is absurd with a completely full flight & such tiny overhead bins."
Pros: "I did not like one part of this flight, from the check in to the arrival to be honest. I just need the 50+ character requirement"
Cons: "The flight was delayed by more than and hour and a half due to "technical" difficulty. We were supposed to depart at 10:10p and arrive 11:17p (short flight) but ended up departing 11:50p and arriving 1:15a. The airlines, despite their "Customer Bill of Rights" should acknowledge how bad the service is and refund us part of the flight cost. Unfortunately this also happened 7 months ago, which was understandable due to the holidays. We will not be flying Jet Blue ever again. If they don't want to give us the partial refund, then we'll just go our separate ways. Horrible. Just horrible."
Cons: "Airport problems, JFK is the worst airport I ever transfer at. Lack of signage for transfer passengers, it made me so confused for not knowing where should I go for my connecting flight. Long walk in between terminals even taking AirTrain. JetBlue problems, ground staff are not helpful at all. No separate line for transferring guest, long line for everything. Got separate seats at check in counter, but realized the flight is not full and my husband and I both had nobody sit next to us, really don't know why they assigned separate seats for us."
Pros: "The flight arrived early which was nice. But that's the only good thing about this flight."
Cons: "From checking my bag to leaving the plane in Dallas, I felt like AA employees thought passengers were just in the way. It was almost as if the flight attendants were traveling to Dallas and they happened to have to take care of passengers along the way. There were very few smiles, hellos, or how can I help you. It was almost always and grunt and what do you want? The personal device entertainment was very buggy. the movie I tried to watch kept skipping, like on old scratched CD."
Pros: "The least service I have seen among all the airlines I have traveled so far"
Pros: "Standard flight , however I can't believe what most passengers bring on as cabin baggage !!"
Cons: "Evening meal of a turkey sandwich on dry bread was forgettable and considering that they co-share with Qantas , American could learn about providing a decent meal on a long expensive flight"
Pros: "every thing is okay other than the delay."
Cons: "delay in departure for 2 hrs"
Cons: "I do not understand when a global carrier knows the plane will not arrive the next day that they do not find a suitable replacement. The plane interior was outdated!"
Pros: "Classic nightmare flight with extra late baggage, not flying american again"
Pros: "The pod layout in business class is similar to BA. There is a wide range of entertainment available and the choice of foods and drinks is wide. The crew were efficient and friendly."
Cons: "No issues for me."
Pros: "Boarding procedure was reasonable and crew were friendly"
Cons: "Why are food and drinks charged extra on a flight of 3 hours!! This is something I expect from a cheap and cheerful airline."
Pros: "Had three seats between the two of us and the crew ensured we were kept hydrated."
Cons: "Despite having three seats between two of us the seats were amongst the most uncomfortable I've used. The entertainment system was archaic and the quality was not good. The external view was not good as the exterior of the window appeared scratched and dirty."
Pros: "The flight arrived a little bit early."
Cons: "No snacks, only a drink. No personal TVs, only overhead."
"Very narrow seating"
"AA is getting worse each month. The rank and file staff and cabin crews are down-right nasty and rude. They need to stop worrying about curing all of society's ills and get back to flying planes and doing it with a smile."
Pros: "Lack of communication"
Cons: "Horrible customer service"
Pros: "Very nice!!"
Cons: "There was no gate agent in Santa Fe. I had to leave two very expensive bottles of alcohol I’m the trash because they don’t have adequate staff to check my bag."
Pros: "Good seats and very clear"
Cons: "Gate agent was cold rude and incompetent"
Pros: "When we did get in the air, the flight seemed to go quickly and we got there fast."
Cons: "I upgraded to 1st class for both flights but the plane seating was very dismal and hadn't been upgraded in either of these planes for a long time. After we boarded the plane we were told that no drink, snacks or food would be offered. The attendant shut off the lights as soon as we got in the air and kept it dark in the cabin until 10 minutes before we landed. She never came around to check on us once or ask if we needed anything. I was so thirsty when we landed. I have decided that I will either go back to United Airlines or check out the 1st class options at American Airlines better next time. This might not have been their fault, I'm not sure what it was, but the flight was late landing and we took off an hour late as well which really put me behind schedule."
Pros: "They offered some entertainment"
Cons: "Took no caution with coronavirus. Packed the plane with the seats full and all rows filled. I was not expecting this especially since my flight was not cheap."
Cons: "With Covid they could hand out a bag containing water and a snack."
Pros: "Entertainment on seats"
Cons: "I sat in seat 12A- the window was so hot it was burning my arm and I was extremely hot. Not sure if it’s from the engine heat or sun but it’s probably a mechanical issue that the 737 should address. Horribly uncomfortable trip."
Cons: "The entertainment center at my seat was malfunctioning. Movies were starting passed the beginning and the system was crashing."
Cons: "Boarding is so disorganized. Really Group 9 is just a way to make the passengers wish they had chosen a different airline."
Cons: "Every seat sold. No social distancing. Mask rule not enforced."
Pros: "The seats were comfortable and it was easy to catch a quick nap."
Cons: "I wasn't offered any type of sanitation wipes like I was on my way departure. The airport in Mississippi disnt offer any type of sanitation such as hand sanitizer or a reputable substitute. Sure their were bathrooms, but that's very inconvenient to have to use every time you touch something."
Pros: "Horrible seats"
Pros: "The crew was friendly, the cabin and bathrooms were very clean and the separation among passengers was unexpected and great"
Cons: "My flight was laid over due to weather so it may have been helpful to get a new boarding pass as we left the cancelled flight and maybe a voucher to help with hotel & food."
Pros: "Great crew"
Pros: "Crew was amazing!"
Pros: "No one within 6 feet of me."
Pros: "The plane wasn't super full so I could spread out more than if there had been someone next to me. The cabin crew was friendly."
Cons: "Seats are too close together. 9 boarding groups is excessive. No one boarded between groups 1 and 6 basically. Maybe makes sense for larger flights, but for a smaller one 4 groups would have sufficed and been less confusing."
Pros: "Flight was on time. Good movie selection."
Cons: "Crew ran out of toilet paper in one bathroom with over an hour left on the flight. It seemed like they just didn’t care to replace it and said they were out-either way, not a good look. Plus tiny screens and tiny seats."
Pros: "I observer th crew at this flight were very friendly and helpful, unlike my previous flight in the past years."
Cons: "Keep it up!"
Cons: "I was forced to check my bag due to the full flight. My bag didn’t make it to my final destination. I’m concerned because this has happened before. I need my bag before the weekend."
Pros: "The leg room"
Cons: "No toilet paper or Kleenex on the 2nd flight with American"
Cons: "Entertainment system for myself and my wife failed after an hour."
Pros: "service was consistent"
Cons: "Plane was unusually hot"
Pros: "Service was great in 1st class"
Cons: "The movie Black k Klansman was great but the system had a problem. Not sure if just my seat or the whole digital video system. Every few minutes it would get choppy and unwatchable. I had to rewind and then it would be fine for a while. Like a video buffering problem."
Pros: "The flight attendants were friendly and helpful."
Cons: "The American Airlines crew in Houston gave multiple people the wrong information regarding checked luggage for our connecting flight. Because the flight from NYC was over an hour delayed and the misinformation, several people missed the connecting flight. Hobby closes at a certain hour so I now have to wait until tomorrow morning to retrieve my carry on luggage the American Airlines MADE me check because of the group I was in. I called American Aurlines customer service line and they were not helpful. I will never fly American again."
Pros: "Entertainment, crew, and service were great. Captain announced kept us updated and the flight was smoothe sailing."
Cons: "No room to move at all. I had an aisle seat and almost everyone bumped into me when walking by. The guy In Front of me reclined his seat and banged into my knees for 4 hours. If the inside person wanted out, we had to grab our belongings, unbuckle, and move completely into the aisle to let him out. Then do it all over again when he returned. Rediculously tight on space."
Pros: "Crew was sweet and accommodating, much better than my previous flights with AA. Flight was clean and take off and landing was quick despite the delay."
Cons: "Second flight to get delayed in the span of a week. Bags took an hour to be distributed at baggage claim. On flight meals have no variety and are too expensive for the portion sizes."
Pros: "Service top notch"
Pros: "Great films and tasty food"
Cons: "Had to run to gate after two buses to reach correct terminal. Saw info that flight was closing. Held up at gate due to confusion with my boarding pass. Limited leg room on flight. End of flight huge queues at Dallas airport for security. After a long flight a passenger does not need to be corralled through excessively long winding lines."
Pros: "I had a connection flight to JFK I came before the time about 15 min and crew saw me but she told me, sorry someone took your seats I lost around 4000$. This happened at Dallas airport."
Pros: "Took me from point a to b. Some entertainment options, nothing spectacular."
Cons: "Toilets were dirty."
Pros: "Crew. There was very long delay."
Cons: "Too cramped. Long delay could have been made better but ongoing announcements from airline, but this was often late."
Pros: "Flight was on time, crew was friendly."
Cons: "Had almost a 4 hour delay !!!!!"
Pros: "I will never fly Frontier again. Poor customer service. Poor baggage handling. Poor timeliness of flight and baggage delivery. Poor communication of flight delays and baggage mix-ups. Understaffed. Undertrained. Poor seats, particularly considering I paid for the best. Inadequate compensation for 8+ hour delay and missing baggage for 3 days. After all the nickel and diming for seats, baggage (checked AND carry on) it would have cost me less to fly my preferred carrier and avoided every hassle, not to mention the inadequate compensation (again). Horrible, horrible experience."
Cons: "I will never fly Frontier again.
Cons: "1) Although flights are fairly low fare, they get you with baggage. Had to pay to check OR to carry-on. 2) Flew out of Chicago O'Hare - a major hub - and Frontier, Spirit, Virgin America, & Alaskan all shared a SINGLE security check. Yes ladies and gentleman, one security scanner. I have never in my life (usually fly American, United, or Southwest) waited more than 30 minutes to get through security. This time was well over an hour, I almost missed my flight. 3) On-board staff was friendly (all but one woman), but there were no complimentary beverages or snacks. I did pay for some & they were not too pricey, but having to whip out my credit card yet again made my whole travel experience feel far from effortless."
Pros: "Flights were cheap."
Cons: "You end up paying an additional $30-35 to check a bag or carry on-board, you also end up paying $15-20 to reserve a seat. In addition, they won't accept your checked-in baggage if you're not at the airport 45 min before boarding to drop it off. They made me re-book my flight out of Chicago for the next day and charged me $99. I was only 5 min late to drop my bag off, and because of bad traffic. The airline has no empathy, they seem to be only concerned with charging you at every opportunity they get. I will never fly frontier again."
Cons: "Frontier airlines. Rigid and unable to admit that they made a mistake. Caution towards anyone who flies with their special low discount rates. Many opportunities were taken by company to recover discounted fare (and I am not referring to any baggage costs) Besides money, they ruined a special weekend through delays. Think twice! In fact, my comment is in reference to customer service in general. Everything is a fight now. I'm not a screamer, I'm rational. I laid out, clearly, where their policy was contradicted and that some empathy was in order and in the process was hung up on once and have not received a reply to my last email. If you gave no intention to achieve quality customer service, why pay for the department? Maybe they don't."
Cons: "I will never fly Frontier again. Terrible experience overall. Blatantly disrespectful and unapologetic staff. Frontier is the equivalent taking a 'Greyhound' bus. The discount rates aren't much cheaper than flying other airlines do yourself a favor and fly with a normal carrier. The seats don't even recline on their planes. No free water. If they are this cheap and annoyed by the customers you can expect major concerns like safety, aircraft maintenance and the pilots to be equally as shotty and terrible."
Pros: "I only liked that I didn't pay a lot of money for the flight"
Cons: "- charged for seats -really? how else are you supposed to get there? the low fare is a hoax. - paid a premium for a good seat and it was the most uncomfortable seat I've ever sat in. - they "upgraded" a family with screaming children for free to the "premium" seats - way too much talking from the flight attendants (it was an early morning flight - everyone just wanted to sleep) - tried to sell their credit card repeatedly - solicited passengers on board to buy the premium seats I don't like being sold to obsessively on board, and"
Pros: "that I was able to fly to my destination"
Cons: "That you guys dont report EACH AIRLINES BAG FEES and incorporate that into your pricing. Individuals HAVE NO NOTION OF THE TOTAL COST because you don't distribute this data, as individuals rarely have these costs in mind/memory. Aside from the fact that Frontier charged me for both my carryon ($50) as well as my "Personal Item/Briefcase" ($50) because they said the jacket in my arms counted, I was charged for even the basic one soda and nuts that every other airline provides. On the return flight frontier elected instead of paying for the use of another carrier's gate (which I have researched and happens all the time) they decided to make us wait on the tarmac an additional HOUR AND A HALF. I will never book a flight with them as long as I live. (did I mention the tiny/nonexistant seats?)"
Cons: "All the hidden fees. While I realized I would have to pay for my carry-on, I had no idea of the other hidden fees. Fee for a seat and fee for a drink/soda/snack (except for water) and no complementary cookies that everyone had raved about. Went to ladies room 20 minutes before boarding was to begin. Arrived back at terminal 10 minutes before boarding time, only to find the terminal empty. After a few seconds of panic, I found the plan had already boarded. When I located my seat, with only one person in my row, the overhead was totally full and had to put my carry-on, which I also paid for, four rows back. That made it difficult to collect it upon arrival."
Pros: "Literally probably nothing it was the worst flight I have ever taken in my life!"
Cons: "They over charge for bags, now even carry ons are a charge which is absolutely ridiculous, basically gave me one good reason to never travel an airline that charges for bags. Also now they charge for online food and beverage, the one curious thing airlines did, they have taken away and tries to charge is for. The airplane was smaller then any airline I have ever been on, my husband who is 6'3" (which is not that tall) had his knees pressed hard against the seat in front of him and it was terribly incomfprtable. It was such a crowded flight not even the seats reclined. They basically took everything decent about flying and said screw you client, your comfort is not our priority, your money is, so give us your money and have a terrible time. Also both our flights were delayed in some way, so we were in very uncomfortable seats for even longer."
Pros: "Overall comfortable seats, good people, pretty smooth flight, and it got the job done."
Cons: "In Chicago, the Frontier personell (3 of them) at the gate did not change the electronic sign behind them to read "Destination Denver" and the correct departure time. It instead read "Los Angeles" and a later departure time. This was confusing. Also, why are the fold down trays in the airplane literally about 6x8 inches? You can barely set your drink on them and could never read, write, or use a laptop. Finally, PLEASE get a mobile app, or atleast the ability to use passbook or screenshot your boarding pass. Catch up to the world!"
"Deberia el responsable del counter poner atencion al cliente ante un problema los maquinas de checking no trabajaban ,atencion a personanas de terceras edad e incapacitados no tenian... al final grandes filas de espera y sin respetar la distancia en esta pandemia"
"The flight was 3hrs late to board. No tv’s, no food, no electronic outlets to charge your devices and the seats were hard."
"Given how many delays and cancellations other airlines are having, I was very pleased with both flights of my trip being on time, easy to check-in & board."
"La entrega de maletas fue despues de una hora"
"Great trip, excellent price! No entertainment on board which is typical for this short flight. I did enjoy the option to purchase snacks."
"Friendly staff at all levels. Efficient boarding, new clean plane, arrived 20 minutes early, lowest price available. No entertainment and food for purchase only. Great deal though for a short flight!"
Cons: "The manager was so crazy, i think she have to work on the circus."
Cons: "More Comfortable seats"
Pros: "Seat was average."
Cons: "If frontier was offering drinks and snacks again"
Pros: "It was ok, one gets what one pays and I understand that."
Cons: "Some padding on the chairs would have been welcome."
Cons: "I recommend for being punctual"
Pros: "The crew was amazing"
Pros: "On time reliable."
Cons: "No entertainment or food, the worst plan ride ever"
Cons: "Plane was scheduled to depart at 8:20 pm it was then delayed until 8:58 pm due to weather. We all boarded the plane and were ready for take off when a maintenance issue was discovered. We all deplaned and we’re told we would be put on a new plane arriving from Seattle set to depart at 11:30 pm. This departure time was delayed until 1:35 am and then 2:35 am because the captain had timed out and we would need to wait for a new pilot. Also due to the first delay everything was coded as “weather” and customer service was unable to give hotel rooms. This miscommunication between corporate and passengers and the late night created lots of frustration. Instead of being helpful or honest customer service called security on the disgruntled passengers. I heard no threats of violence just elevated voices. At midnight Frontier began handing out meal vouchers (15 dollars to McDonald’s) as a way to increase morale. I finally gave up and requested a refund, got a hotel, and a new flight on a different airline (all Frontier flights the next day were sold out). When I asked what would happen to my checked luggage they said it would be sent to Dallas (my destination) or I could pay for it to be sent back to Denver. The flight and my luggage arrived in Dallas at 5:30 am. Paid $400 for Southwest flight the next day (flying into different Dallas airport away from my parked car and luggage) just for the guaranteed service."
Cons: "Nothing, the whole trip booked through Kayak on Kiwi was a disaster."
Pros: "2.5 hours is long enough to get thirsty, a cup of water would have been nice."
Pros: "On time and had plenty of room"
Cons: "Had to pay if you wanted a soda...."
Cons: "I do not feel I willl fly Frontier again. The crew was nice and flight fine. However, the way you nickel time your passengers is beyond awful. How unfriendly can you be!"
Pros: "the beginning price - maybe?"
Cons: "I got to the airport in Dallas 2 hours before my 6:55 flight, and at that very moment, received a text that the flight was delayed 3 hours. At that time, there was NO ONE at the Frontier check in to explain what was going on. I understand there was excessive wind in Denver, but there should have at least been a Frontier representative at the gate in Dallas. On my way home, again the flight was delayed by an hour because of something on a previous leg. Because of this, I am going to go with any other airline first. I think Frontier should either co-op with other airlines to get people to their destinations on time or have more planes.......or AT LEAST have someone at the gate to offer next day service or a voucher or a free snack or something. I also do not like the whole A LA CARTE theme with this airline and Spirit Air. I do not like that I was going to be charged for a coffee or a coke. The whole thing is too confusing, and I am going to pay more for an American, United or Southwest flight next time."
Pros: "This flight-my return flight left on time. My flight to Denver was delayed 2 hrs. No one at the desk said anything until it was time to board, then they let us know of the 2 hr delay. Disorganized!"
Cons: "Disorganized and nickle & dimed ! Carry on's cost, drinks in flight cost, can't select seats until you check in.....as a whole-not customer friendly. Won't fly Frontier again."
Pros: "The crew on my flight from Dallas to Denver did nothing about the obnoxious children (6 & 9yrs old) behind me who kept screaming, yelling & kicking my seat & the one next to me. The little boy behind my neighbor stood up & hit the man on the head."
Cons: "While waiting on my flight in Denver to go back to Dallas they changed gates on at least 5 different flights & it was very confusing watching groups of 50-100 passengers moving back & forth. This all happened in about 15min & my flight was called to board during all this chaos but because the woman making the announcements did not speak very good English I along with several others missed our flights. When i went to customer service to rebook my flight they tried to charge me $100 to rebook!!!!! Other airlines will try to book you on the next available flight thru another airline. Frontier told me the next available was 24hrs later, same time the next day. I was supposed to be back at work the next day. So i ended up spending $150 on a hotel room that i couldn't really afford. I WILL NOT FLY WITH FRONTIER AGAIN."
Pros: "I like that the seats are thinner without a lot of padding. It gives more leg room. I like that my knees aren't hitting that seat in front of me. That crew was very nice."
Cons: "I don't like having to pay extra for my luggage. One bag should always be free and extra bags should be paid for. Paying for water is bad too. Water is cheap. People would buy a snack if they get free water. The fold down tray is also too small."
Pros: "There were quiet babies on the flight."
Cons: "It took longer than usual to board and the staff kept going back and forth about going through the safety proceedures."
Pros: "the boarding was quick and we could understand the annoucements well. the pilots made up time in the air so that was good."
Cons: "Both flights were late. In MKE no one at counters to check in the bags."
Pros: "The no-frills (cheap) pricing."
Cons: "We had about a 3 hour delay with no explanation. The tickets told us to be there for boarding at the normal time though, so we were essentially threatened with missing the flight and had to hang out in the airport for several hours. The seats don't lie back at all, and the airline is very basic. Then again, you get what you pay for and we were expecting that."
Pros: "Price, a non-stop route at a good times, friendly attendants and pilot."
Cons: "Paying extra for many things that are typically included (water, almost all seats, carry-ons), seats didn't recline and weren't comfortable if flight is long, no magazine to read."
Cons: "THE FLIGHT KEPT BEING DELAYED ALL DAY AND THEN IT WAS CANCELLED. PASSENGERS HAD TO SECURE OTHER FLIGHTS TO THEIR DESTINATIONS. SOME EVEN MISSED IMPORTANT EVENTS LIKE FUNERALS, CRUISES APPOINTMENTS, ETC. I WAS A DAY LATE FOR MY EVENT. I THINK WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN TOLD IMMEDIATELY SO WE COULD HAVE MADE OTHER ARRANGEMENTS EARLIER. I WAS NOT A HAPPY CAMPER AND WILL NOT CONSIDER FLYING FRONTIER IN THE FUTURE!!!!!!!! THAT WAS MY FIRST AND LAST TIME TO PURCHASE TRANSPORTATION FROM FRONTIER AIRLINES."
Pros: "I was transported safely from point A to B. That's about it."
Cons: "Check-in was atrocious as we watched the clerks migrate from one crisis to the next, and no TSA pre-check. WAITING at every stage of the flight. You would think a one-way would be simple, but no. An hour at the departure terminal, delayed in-air, then sitting on the taxiway for an hour and a half at the destination, followed by more waiting at the gate. The pilot's excuses didn't help any, clearly trying to avoid an onboard riot for a flight in which we waited longer on the ground than we flew in the air. We checked the board afterward to see if any other airlines' flights were delayed--nope, only Frontier, every one. It's clear what happens. They pay the least possible expense for airport services, and are then the lowest priority at every stage of operations, resulting in delays at every phase of flight. The most frustrating flight I've ever had that didn't include actual incompetence or bad weather."
Pros: "The price and the actual flight was quick and the attendants were nice."
Cons: "Stephen Lucero 352936 discriminated against us at the gate. We were the only two people out of everyone boarding flight F9 129 to be pulled aside and asked to pay for a personal item that fit the size restrictions of the metal bag sizer outside the gate. We watched 50+ people walk onto the plane with not issues with multiple and bigger bags. We waited patiently but with frustration for an explanation and he could not offer one. When we asked what the problem was with us he threatened to not allow us to board whether or not we paid the bag fee. He did not take care of our unjust bag payment until 9:11 which was after the doors of the plane were to be closed. Aside from him being rude (which is a major understatement) paying for the bag wouldnt not have been an issue and it would have been justified had we not just flew into Denver two days before with the exact same bags. I was both embarrassed and humiliated and out of money for no reason."
Pros: "Nice crew"
Cons: "Paying for snacks, delays"
Pros: "Comfortable and spacious seating"
Cons: "Flight was significantly delayed. Charge for basic beverages."
Pros: "The flight was on time and fun"
Pros: "Plane was nice and new."
Cons: "Almost 2 hours late with no update or explanation. Counter people didn't seem to be updated with any information at all. Must pay to carry on or check bag and pick seat. Will never fly Frontier again"
Pros: "Same as above"
Cons: "Same as above"
Cons: "They lost my luggage and weren't even apologetic. Spent half of my trip trying to locate my luggage. Went from Denver to Dallas ....one hour and twenty minute flight and my luggage was lost. Completely ruined my anniversary trip with my boyfriend."
Cons: "I didn't like that you could not have a carry on and personal item but others did without paying."
Pros: "The low cost of the ticket although I thought that it was comical that we had to actually "buy" a seat after we had paid for the ticket itself. Shouldn't the ticket we purchase include the seat we sit in???"
Cons: "The two hour delays each way."
Cons: "The ticket taker at my gate was very rude and did not give any information about my flight. Even one of the flight attendants was rude. Plus, my gate on my ticket was wrong so I almost missed my flight."
Pros: "Trick you with cheaper prices (good business)"
Cons: "They will charge you anything you bring along"
Cons: "The plane was dirty. The ambience is bad. You feel like you are in a cheap motel and you are waiting for the cockroaches to come out. I couldn't wait for the flight to be over and then you get on the ground and you had to sit for another 15 minutes because your gate was blocked. Oh yeah, surprise! The plane was coming into the gate. Bad overall."
Cons: "plane departs at 650 arrived at check it at 620 was told I wouldnt make the flight and if i wanted to get on the next flight it was going to be 150$ - original flight was 35$ one way .. i had a round trip ticket - after spending 120 to add bags and pic a seat for my return flight . i had to call American to book another flight for 87$. upon returning home - i found out that spirit canceled my whole reservation becasue i decided not to spend the extra 150$ to rebook with them for my outbound flight - so they canceled my whole reservation ! I then last minute had to book American again for 60$ . Needless to say they had no problem taking my money to reserve seats and pay for bags on my return flight - which they will not refund. I WILL NEVER USE SPIRIT ! YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR ."
Pros: "I liked the seats that I paid for one time eighteen dollars and the next time twenty dollars they are wide and they have leg room."
Cons: "when we are in the plane in Dallas Texas the Pilot was late for over twenty minutes this is a first. I am a people person there is no contact between the flight attendant and the passengers it is so formal."
Cons: "We were stuck in Atlanta. They could not open the cabin door for over a 1/2 hour. Then they could not scan the new passengers in at Alanta. We waited about a hour to clear that up. We did not leave the plane. My concern is what if there had been an emergency? My husband has dementia. I kept him calm. What if someone else on the plane had an emergency. There is cause then for a law suit."
Pros: "The flight landed safely,"
Cons: "There were close to five screaming babies on the flight. There was very little leg room. The flight from Dallas to LAX was delayed by two hours. We received an apology but it would have been nice if we were given something to eat or drink on the flight to compensate."
Pros: "Very nice about the whole delay"
Cons: "The flight was delayed over two hours because of the crew was not there. There were several other spirit flights that were also delayed multiple hours."
Cons: "My flight ended up being on the news because it was delayed over an hour by some bullshit "racial profiling"situation, it was the WORST service and experience I've had under any circumstances in any situation, if I could get my money back I would, and then some"
Pros: "pretty much nothing positive to say except they got me there"
Cons: "Seats to not even go back, they don't even provide you a bottle of water or a peanut and any money I thought I was saving on the flight over other airlines, I spent on the $55 per carry on bag charge!! What a rip off and never flying with them again EVER."
Cons: "Flight left late. Last minute plane downgrade left many passengers after boarding left with wrong seat assignments and further delayed he flight. If I could give a 0 or -5 I would"
Pros: "The staff not pointing things out in the beginning!"
Pros: "No it was all pretty bad. i realize its a cheap airline but i fly them all the time."
Cons: "customer service, appropriate staffing, enough leg room for humans, professionalism, etc"
Cons: "Flight was delayed 5 hours."
Cons: "Spirit is like hearding cattle. Flight delayed! Gates changed and a make shift terminal to board. And a carry-on is more money than a checked bag."
Pros: "Fantastic crew, lively and happy. Smooth flight with no delays."
Cons: "Power outlets would be wonderful. WiFi is probably a cheaper option to provide versus the in flight screens/entertainment. Wasn’t super nessecary for a flight this length but I would be sorely missing these things on a longer flight."
Cons: "We were charged $50 for each of our checked bags! Also, carry-on bags are required to be smaller than what other airlines will allow."
Pros: "It was organized and timely. I would fly Spirit again!"
Cons: "One of our party was late, but before the plane left the gate and they did not allow her to board."
Pros: "Unfriendly staff, huge delays in departure"
Pros: "On the plane, the seats were extremely comfortable, with a lot of leg room, even on the standard seats. Much more than on any flight I had flown with Southwest domestic. The staff was also a lot friendlier and generous. And there was plenty of room on the flight which made comfort affordable."
Cons: "They announced that the flight was departing from a different gate, but it wasn't listed on their website and there was no way to verify it on any screens. The gate that they said the flight would be departing out of instead still had the destination on it for the previous flight. Then, after that flight departed, it showed the destination for the next flight scheduled to leave out of that gate, not the one I was on. So frankly, a lot of people were very confused on where they were supposed to be waiting. Especially since, there was boarding for a different flight at the first gate, and no screen showing the flight that was being boarded there. So it caused a lot of nervousness for a lot of us, not being sure where we were supposed to be and afraid we would miss our boarding call."
Pros: "Very quick to board active military. Pleasant crew. Arrived early with a shortened flight time."
Cons: "I’m an average height male with an above average build. I was fairly cramped in my seat with very little room to move."
Cons: "I didn't have any food. Can rate it"
Cons: "I don't like anything"
Pros: "Sercurity line was short. Crew was kind of nice and friendly."
Cons: "40 minutes to check bag even though we prechecked in the previous night, paid for our bag and printed our broadinf pass. Only 1 Spirit employee working the check in counter! They charge 3 dollars for water! Water! They should how complimentary cups of water. It's water for goodness sake. My pregnant wife was very thirsty so we paid. But it was a bitter moment. I get what Spirit is doing but they need to do better in a few areas or they'll have no more clients to pass the savings on to."
Cons: "Beware ! Forced passengers to board at temporary gate, no warning at all that you would immediately drop to 2 steep flights of stairs not even suitable for able bodied passengers. Then climb the entire temporary ramp outside in the rain and this is after a 3 hour delay. The worst of it was the flight crew ! Horrible. Taunting passengers, bullying, refusing to give their names. I will be filing an official complaint due to this flight. TERRIBLE !!!!"
Cons: "It's was delayed 3 hours didn't land till 3am. Was suppose to land at 11:30"
Pros: "It was a mistake to fly with Spirit!!!!! It was a nightmare in every aspect!!!! No, there was NOTHING that I like. I hated it. NEVER FLY SPIRIT AGAIN."
Cons: "They charged for EVERYTHING!!!! It's pathetic. The flight kept delaying. It was a chaos at the gate. Passengers were confused about which gate we were supposed to be at. My flight was about 3 h delay. Instead of serving us complimentary beverage due to delay, they charged us (even water.) They tried to charge for everything. Check in at a gate would cost $10! Who does that? Never heard that before in my life. A bag would cost over $60 if you check in at the gate. They charged for every single little thing. Disgusting!!!! I almost felt victimized flying their airline. (The seats were small.) I heard one passenger said "My first time flying Spirit. It will be my last time too." I said "Amen!" I WILL NEVER FLY SPIRIT AGAIN!!!! NEVER!!!!"
Cons: "The water was free"
Pros: "The fare is cheap. The airplane(s) are new and mostly clean. The crew were very friendly, though, my interaction with them was limited at best. If your only concern is price, this is a good choice, but plan ahead and know Spirit's checked and carry-on bag fees (and all the other fees, such as printing your own ticket.)"
Cons: "It's Spirit Airlines. I arrived at my destination in once piece. Nothing was over-the-top good or bad. The seats are smaller than traditional. With additional bag fees, the pricing is very similar to other airlines. The seat backs are very thin and as long as there is not an energetic child behind you jumping from seat to seat (There was in my case.) this isn't much of problem. In short - I didn't die."
Pros: "Not comfortable seats, but hey it spirit. Flight was hot!"
Cons: "Too hot"
Pros: "Nothing--there is literally nothing to like about this airline. They display a cheaper fare than other airlines and call it their "Bare Fare" but you better not pack more than a small backpack otherwise you end up paying double the ticket price in services charges and baggage fees!"
Cons: "Spirit's endless amounts of extra hidden costs and ridiculous baggage fees meant that I ended up paying just as much for my airfare as I did to 1) check my bags, 2) print my boarding pass and 3) pay for the hidden services charges to do all of the above at the gate (instead of predicting exactly how many luggage/carry-on items and their exact weight over five months in advance of my trip, when I initially purchased my ticket online). You'll have to purchase water on the plane if you get thirsty. I would not be the least bit surprised if Spirit started charging a fee to use the bathroom on the plane! AVOID THIS AIRLINE if you need to check a bag, or if your carry-on is larger than a small backpack and/or purse! Plus, the interior of their new fleet has decreased space between rows so you have less legroom than ever (I'm 5'5" and 125 lbs--I had no room to move). And the final straw for me: I paid a premium price for a flight that left AFTER 9:00 AM. Less than 48 hours before departure, Spirit changed our flight to 6:05 AM; a time I had specifically filtered out of my options when searching for a flight! And no, there was absolutely no refund or apologies for the inconvenience."
Cons: "The pricing for baggage is not clear and consistent on website."
Pros: "At the time of purchase, I liked the price."
Cons: "1. They offer no way to reach a live customer service representative via phone. 2. They are the only airline I've used in the US that charges for carry on bags. This makes the cheap fair no longer the cheapest fair. 3. After running late and unable to check in online, or reach customer service, the people at the ticket counter would not ticket my flight 25 minutes before boarding and charged $100 to rebook the next day. 4. They offer no complementary drinks/snacks 5. Their seats are small, uncomfortable, and DO NOT RECLINE!"
Cons: "My 6:15 am flight was delayed getting out due to a crew member not showing up and them getting someone to sub in so our flight departed after 7am. My flight getting back was delayed as well. I don't know what the reason was but it was delayed for 45 minutes."
Pros: "Nothing at all"
Cons: "The flight was cancelled and I was not informed. I found out from my friend who was notified. By the time I had the information all the flights on all the other airlines that were NOT cancelled due to nonexistent weather between Dallas and Chicago were sold out. I promise, I don't care what the fare difference is, I won't give Spirit airlines another dollar."
Pros: "Great landing!"
Pros: "I loved the friendliness and timeliness"
Cons: "I didn't like the enormous up-charge at the gate on luggage."
Pros: "There wasn't anything I really liked about my trip on Spirit."
Cons: "From the curbside to the gate you are on your own. No skycaps to take your bags at the curb even though you've already paid for bags. And even though you've already paid for bags you still have to stand in a long line at the counter to check in. This is my 3rd time flying with Spirit since 2011. I thought the first 2 trips having issues was a fluke but no, it seems fairly consistent that you will not leave on time, the staff will not be friendly and nothing is complimentary...even water! The seats are extremely small and there is no way to recline them. Some of their planes have advertisement pasted through the entire length of the cabin, the crew really pushed applying for their credit card, all snacks must be paid for I mean, the message is clear, profits first, customers are to be used to meet their goals. At the end of the day, customers are lured in by seemingly lower prices but it's all smoke and mirrors. When you're done with all of the a la cart items, the price is the same as all of the other airlines, with inferior service, in my opinion. I will not be flying with Spirit Airlines again. I will spend my money with airlines that value me as a customer first."
Pros: "I never booked a flight with your airline. I shouldn't be charged for a flight I never booked."
Cons: "I never booked a flight with your airline. So I got charged for nothing."
Cons: "had to buy a new ticket from American and spend an additional $300. Stay away from Spirit"
Pros: "The fly atendants were Great and had a lot of patients"
Cons: "The lady behind me made the flight hell, her and her rude children, I believe they should have made her bring a car seat for her missed behaved child just like the other couple did, they brought their toddler a car seat and purchased seating for him. She didn't. The way I see it for the child's safety they should force the parents in to purchasing a seat at least at half coast. Her daughter and son "toddler" kicked my seat half way to Dallas I have bad kidneys I finally turned around and addressed it, by then I was fed up since it was the second time so I have to admit I did it in a rude way. The fly attendant was very helpful she spoked to the lady who also was very rude twice and had me move seats and the girl who was sitting next to me had to pay an additional $75.00 for a better seat where she wasn't being kicked being that she as well had a bad back. I just think if the parents are trying to be cheap and avoid paying an extra seat not caring for their child's safety they should force them into it or plain simple not allow them to board... It was by far the worse experience even and I had just switched airlines from American to Spirit..."
Pros: "The staff overall were pleasant."
Cons: "The cost I had to pay for my luggage $52 each way rediculous. The lack of space in the seats. Couldn't put my seat back even a little, my knees where touching the seat in front of me and I felt like the person next to me was sitting on my lap. Couldn't even get a glass of water without having to pay."
Pros: "Nice attendants. Good attitude"
Cons: "A320 rattle so bad at landing I thought the luggage compartment would come down. Seats are like wood bench's Cheap flight, expensive adds for carry on"
Pros: "I always have a great time flying with Spirit. When I book my flight I know that I can't carry a lot with me, so I plan for that by packing all of my belongings in a small backpack and it always works out well. Everything goes smoothly from check in to landing at my destination. The staff are all friendly and entertaining. It makes the experience much more enjoyable."
Pros: "Plane was new, boarding was quick. Crew was professional and kind."
Cons: "I had to pay for carry-on luggage $50.00 Nothing on the plain was free of charge, not even a glass of water."
Pros: "In flight experience was good."
Cons: "Didn't like that I have to print my boarding pass and that an eboarding pass doesnt work on the scanners. That was not communicated well to me. The gate changed 30 mins prior to the take off time of my flight and not a single passenger was informed of this. There were no announcements made. They did not even care to change the flight information display at the gate behind the counter. While passengers were waiting to board, a jet blue crew member starts to announce boarding for their flight to JFK while its displaying spirit airlines flight to dallas. The jet blue crew has no information to provide to us. A spirit airline crew memeber SHOULDVE MADE AN ANNOUNCEMENT reg the gate change at the original gate or they should remove the spirit airline flight display from the screen. And all this 20 mins prior to take off. And I was told to stand in line that was a mile long to have this simple question answered 'whats the current gate'. The crew could've been a bit more informative, less rude and more approachable."
Cons: "We were travelling with a couple and FORCED to pay for seats so that we can sit together. . . what a crock. I can deal with many compromises for an inexpensive fare--but this was over the top. We were going to be asked to pay $30 to pick seats to sit together, decided to just upgrade the seats $60 to both sit up front in larger seats together, so the flight was comfortable. But being asked that was the straw that broke the camel's back--I don't think we'll be flying Spirit again--I'd rather just pay slightly more for the flight and know that I'll have an assigned seat--or can get a pair by boarding togeteher."
Pros: "That I arrived safely"
Cons: "Seats - no recline position. I'm not claustrophobic but that flight made me feel like it. Boarding was a zoo... 3 flights from the same area. No space to stand or sit. Stewardesses walking with shoes that made loud noise and vibration every time they passed by. I was hoping to sleep during this claustrophobic and uncomfortable flight but they're loud walking woke me up 3 times. Finally, do we really need to make 15 announcements that no one cares about during the flight? Just get us there safely ... I don't need to know the weather and cruising altitude in 3 different announcements ... Also waking me up during this painful experience. Worst of all... I feel like my comments will never make a difference because you appeal to thise customers who will go through pain just to save a little on air fare. However that's not me."
Pros: "The actual flight was OK--but I was bumped from my scheduled flight (along w 82 other people) when they substituted a smaller aircraft; & the flight they put me on was 12 hours later!!!! Nothing like wasting a precious vacation day in O'Hare airport to make you furious!"
Cons: "I hated the fact that I couldn't check in online the day before. I must have wasted two hours trying to remember my password for their stupid Frequent Flyer club--the only allowable way to check in-- and then (after finally getting a new password & getting into the system), being told they had no current reservation for me. What???? Then, after getting to the airport & finally checking in, I was bumped off the plane & rescheduled 12 hours later!!!! I hope never to fly on Evil Spirit Airlines again!"
Cons: "The seats were not that think. There was a child behind me that was drawing in a piece of paper on the back of my chair. I could feel every movement."
