Rented a car at 6pm. Arrived at facility at 6:05’and discovered the facility was closed at 6pm. How can I rent a car when the facility is already closed. I wasted $100 in Uber trying to find an open facility.

Car was not available, tried three different reservations, all said available online, but once reservations was made, got a call saying car is not available. Ended up renting from Sixt.
They cancelled the day I needed the car. I had to find another car at three times the cost.

Got to rental place, no cars, waited 2 hours, no cars! Would not let us use restroom told us we could walk down the road and use it at McDonalds. Lindsey the clerk there was not helpful. Never smiled or apologize for our inconvenience, did not care. Will not rent from Hertz again!

The car we reserved was not available because we were an hour late due to a delayed flight. Charged extra for a different vehicle. Felt like a bait and switch.

Booked an EV for my 7 day rental, showed up to begin rental and was told they don't have any ev's for me. I pointed out there were over 10 ev's in the lot of only 25 cars total but was told none were available. They offered a 2 door mustang ICE for my family of 4. I informed that would not work, and was told I could pay another $40 day to "upgrade" to a mid size SUV. Sensing bait and switch I took the mustang which was dirty and had obvious mechanical issues if it had been inspected between rentals. This was not anything like a normal Hertz rental, more like a sketchy discount rental company. Staff were kind people and clearly working hard so have to give them credit for their struggle. Rental was a dishonest system that didn't provide my family with the needs we had booked. Won't rent again from here.
