Pros: Nothing. My trip was cancelled due to COVID. I was NOT allowed to cancel & NO refund.
Cons: Give refunds when a car is in longer needed. Especially during this time of a pandemic.
Cons: Trip was cancelled due to COVID; no refund or credit
Pros: I rented the car in Phoenix and dropped it off in Los Angeles. At pick up I was given very vague directions on how to get to the car. I was wandering around the huge parking garage looking for the car and had to ask 3 individuals (from different rental companies) how to get to the car. The car itself was fine and I had no difficulties. In Los Angeles we dropped off the car before going to the airport for a flight, AND THE THRIFTY BUILDING WAS COMPLETELY ABANDONED. We drove to THREE SEPARATE rental car companies asking where the HELL we had to drop off this car. I was not told by Thrifty at pick up that this location was CLOSED in LA and that I would need to drop it off at Hertz. Luckily it all got sorted and we made our flight. I WILL NEVER BE RENTING WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN.
Cons: Thrifty needs to inform their customers when rental locations are closed.
Cons: the first truck I was given had a flat tire and the inside smelled like an ashtray - very smokey, So I had to go back in to the counter for a new vehicle.
Cons: The smelled of cigarettes. The car was also very dirty. The car should not be rented to consumers.
Pros: easy and straightforward pick up in phoenix
Cons: The drop-off process was an absolute nightmare. There were no instructions as to the fact that it needed to be taken to the Hertz facility, which was down the street from the Thrifty location. No information provided in an email or in person during pick-up. Several other customers were struggling to find the same information, and like myself, were waiting on hold for over 30 minutes. One person had missed her flight. The Thrifty location in Denver was blocked off in all entrances and exits with buses and cars that were destroyed or broken into. The car we had temporarily parked next to was still running, bumper missing and airbags deployed, unattended. Needless to say, we were hesitant to leave our rental vehicle there. We finally found a small sign saying “All pick ups at Hertz” and decided to just go there to ask for help, as we were still on hold with Roadside Service (we were told they were the only ones who could help in this situation) and were at risk of missing our flight. A Hertz attendant was kind enough to take our rental car and get us on a shuttle, apologizing for the hour of inconvenience we had experienced down the road. As for Thrifty, an verbal apology from another company is unacceptable. Instructions should have been clear for the customers to insure a smooth and stress free transaction. Instead, it’s location was disgraceful and unkempt and customer service was untimely and useless. I fear that I would be stranded for hours if I actually needed Roadside Services for a vehicular emergency. I will not be using Thrift or Dollar services in the future unless they prove their professionalism in attempt to make this situation right as a paying customer.
Pros: Drop off was super easy.
Cons: Vehicle needs to be just a bit cleaner, I think whomever rented it before may have smoked in it.
Pros: Customer service rep at the counter was professional and friendly. The Interior of the car was really clean. Due to way less than normal volume of people, getting out of the garage was quick.
Cons: Car had an expired registration sticker.
Pros: The lone agent on the evening of pick up was very efficient and was able to process a line up of clients in good time. Vehicle was clean and appropriate. Drop off was made through a neighbouring kiosk at Sky Harbour and the vehicle inspection and clearance went very well and was also quick and efficient including sign off.
Cons: I prepaid for a two week rental period but had to return the vehicle a week early due to the Corona Virus emergency which caused us to cancel our family travel plans and return to Canada. I feel we should qualify for a pro-rated refund based on the great disappointment in the too brief opportunity we had to enjoy your transportation and our vacation.
Pros: Everything went very smoothly. Thanks
Pros: Very easy and quick. Lowest price for higher quality car.
Cons: We arrived at the car rental facility and there was a line of at least 20 people and one person working. It was 11:30pm, but there is no excuse in this day and age for customers to be waiting in line for an hour. After waiting upstairs in line for 20 minutes the woman working told us we needed to go to the lower level to get our contracts. No one stayed in order to whoever walked the fastest got to the front of the line. I waited an additional 45 minutes I line on the lower level. I sent my husband and children to our hotel in an Uber which cost $40 since my husband had to work in the morning.
