Pros: Hands down, the best hotel I have ever visited. The space is breathtaking. And the light incense and music softly playing throughout the grounds adds to the dreamy atmosphere. We had an amazing time and will remember the amazing staff forever.
Cons: That I couldn't stay longer!
Situated on one of Antiguas famed cobblestone streets, in front of the superb 18th century Capuchin convent, El Convento is a sanctuary from which to discover the citys magnificent sites. The all-suite El Convento gracefully marries the ancient with the modern. Combining artisanal brick vaulted ceilings, exposed stone walls and hand-crafted doors with the simple elegance of contemporary design. Whether unwinding in the deep-set living room sofas or stopping by for a glass of wine beneath the domed cupula of the bar, staying in can be just as tempting.
Pros: Atmosphere, Cozy room overlooking the pools, music, rose pedal in all of the ponds, banquet in the ruins of an ancient monastery, excellent food, outdoor sculpture garden high on a hillside, lush greenery everywhere, parrots on perches at the pools.
Pros: Nice rooms. Pretty grounds.
Cons: Eerie music playing. Have to pay for wifi
Pros: A very unique experience, excellent service, amazing goof, the most beautiful setting for a relax stay.
Maybe better beds
Since its genesis, Casa Santo Domingo was the bastion of one of the grandest convents of America: the one that sheltered the followers of the order of Santo Domingo de Guzmn. It is an important part of the beautiful colonial reliquary that preserves in its bowels the treasures from the baroque period of ancestral America. Each corner of this house, each stone, each image and each piece that composes this Hotel Museum becomes a lost page in time, which one by one is joined forming a beautiful chapter of the grand book of our history. This innovative Hotel-Museum offers 128 rooms each with unique and special characteristics. The decoration includes works of art from renowned Guatemalan fine art artists and handmade textiles with traditional-contemporary designs. Offering the finest, we provide TV LCD with cable, telephone with voicemail, minibar, safety deposit box, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, magnification lighted vanity mirror, hypo-allergenic pillows (on request), bathrobes, twice-daily housekeeping service, chimney, high velocity internet, terrace, balcony, tub, jacuzzi or sauna (depending on selected room type). In our main restaurant "Refectorio del Prior" we prepare recipes under the concept of fusion cuisine, mixing ingredients from different countries and regions. We serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch.
Pros: The location, the ambience, the rooms and the food were all great. We were all comfortable and enjoyed the stay, the only complaint (if a true complaint at all) is the service speed. We would sometimes order drinks and would not get it till 15 - 20 minutes afterwards. After that, we would rarely see the waiter.
Cons: Service speed needs a boost. While not horrible to ruin our experience, it could've made it so much better and pleasant.
Pros: I would absolutely go back again.
Cons: El precio demasiado alto para el el hotel, habitación pequeña y comida regular

Cons: They claim the beds are queen, but I'm sure they are smaller.
Pros: Newer rooms, such as those on the 18th floor with no carpet, great views and excellent beds.
Plus the staff is very likable and helpful. Their complimentary airport shuttle is great, I accompanied my wife to her 1am flight and the driver returned after she was checked in to take me back to the hotel. I didn't even have to ask, he offered ti do as soon as he heard what our plans were.
Cons: The rooms with carpeting (sorry, even newer carpeting is gross). They also have some rooms with no view at all, in fact we were initially given a room for an earlier stay that had all the exterior glass frosted, so you could see NOTHING. We asked for a different room (on 18) which they happily provided. - I suggest asking for the 18th floor when you make your reservation. They are currently remodeling, so I'm hoping that they upgrade all the rooms to the (simulated) wood flooring they have on 18 and get rid of the tired carpet.
Cons: It was not well kept, our room was outdated
Pros: very comfortable and clean. Very nice place to stay in Guate.
Pros: The staff, specially Ingrid at the front desk, made sure my stay was very comfortable. Kudos to the management.
Cons: The costumer serviles is not good

Cons: Too close to the airport. You can hear the plane in your room. Some of the staff in the lobby are not friendly. The breakfast buffet was good but the service was poor.
Pros: Everyone was friendly and helpful.
Cons: It doesn't always include free WiFi. Last time I stayed it was
Pros: Location and rooms are great, good service except reception on desk because not transfer the information
Cons: Two issues on reception desk 1) somebody drop off a package for me Thursday I asked to receptionist about my package he sent me two another desk they don't have, Friday morning asked again and they not have my package, but when I called to sender say left my package in reception Friday night time ask again nobody know. So I comeback to NY and not sure if Monday Hotel Return THE Package To THE sender. I not receive my important package. Poor communication
